[00:00:17] Abbott Elementary Season 4 Episode 12 Gerard Creek and Season 4 Episode 13 Science Fair are over but class is back in session here on Recap Kickback presents Abbott Elementary A Poetry Recap. The long title but you know we back talking more about Abbott. It's me your host Chappelle and with me her usual is the principal of the podcast who never slips never falls you know the rest is Gia Worthy. Gia welcome back.

[00:00:43] Oh thank you Chappelle now listen I apologize to everybody for this episode being a little late I was a bit of a hidden figure recently because I was not feeling well but we are back. I won't say better than ever because I think we were pretty great beforehand and you know like I'm still I'm still on the mend but these two episodes Chappelle these two episodes.

[00:01:08] I was dying of laughter incredible incredible back-to-back episodes here both were great but something about the science fair episode was so incredible and I think I know why but I'm excited to hear your thoughts on both of them.

[00:01:29] Yeah oh yeah I definitely want to talk about that we don't really have to go in order because we do what we want here and so we might talk about the science fair first I don't know but if you're listening to this podcast or watching on YouTube thank you for joining us make sure you hit the like button subscribe all that good stuff follow the podcast if you're not already subscribed to the to the YouTube page please by all means get on YouTube YouTube.com slash at recap kickback hit the subscribe button so you can get the YouTube version of this podcast.

[00:01:57] But if you prefer to listen we have a direct link to the audio version of the podcast as well you can hear us while you're on the go Abbott Elementary content on the go from me and Gia so make sure you check that out and thank you again for supporting the podcast Gia. These episodes were great but you're right I think the science fair is where we have to start.

[00:02:20] I can start with the science fair but I need to I need to have one caveat here like one little message before we begin the recap. All right as some of you may know Abbott Elementary star Jalen Hurts recently won the Super Bowl. Other people other people were there but I mean like come on we're we're there for Jalen Hurts.

[00:02:50] And for anybody that tweeted out made a tick tock made a Instagram reel put out made a post on blue sky about how happy the Abbott Elementary cast would be or the characters would be with an Eagle Super Bowl win.

[00:03:10] I just want to say thank you because you made my entire week and it was a fantastic way to start off the week and to end last week to start getting some posts pretty early. And I'm for if you're like me and we're only rooting for the Eagles because you wanted the Abbott Elementary characters to be happy.

[00:03:30] I see you. I feel you like this is like this is important to me so this is the happiest I've been for a Super Bowl win in years years. Yeah no that's a really good point. I mean how could we forget that you know the Abbott cast was there in full effect to witness the win. I saw a picture of several of the characters there together. Also saw the Always Sunny in Philadelphia cast there too with Abbott. We got another crossover Gia.

[00:04:01] So yeah everybody's excited and this just makes me very happy about what could come next season for Abbott Elementary because if you thought they were crazy now you know like now they got a Super Bowl under the belt they're gonna be emboldened to do even crazier things. They need to have an episode about what school is like the day after the Super Bowl win.

[00:04:24] I will give them a pass for this season because I'm assuming most of these episodes are already written, recorded. I don't know. I don't know what else you do, rehearse, whatever you do to make an episode. I'm sure they are the whole season is already planned out but we know they're renewed for season five. We know they're coming back. Super Bowl win episode. I just, I need to know like night of or you know what?

[00:04:53] Not even. Morning of. Night of. Day after. I want like a cinematic, a three-part episode here. Like think like Jimmy Timmy Power Hour throughout. Like I want it to be an event, okay? And Quinta, I know you listen. Just keep it in mind. Keep it in mind. Yeah. Uh, Gia, check this out. Look at that. I, that made me so happy.

[00:05:21] I'm so glad they were able to get over the, uh, uh, Greg's gay thing because I know that was really coming in between Dee and Janine at some point. But, uh, you know, it's nice to see people work it out to really celebrate this, uh, what we all care about the most. And that is, uh, beating Patrick Mahomes. Go birds. Yeah. Uh, we won. Abbott won. And so we will be back next season. I'm sure to talk about the Super Bowl a little bit.

[00:05:51] Um, they gotta at least go to the parade. I think that would be so dope to see them like Melissa on the float or something like that. That would be incredible. I need to send you a TikTok that I saw about, it was basically someone predicting how the Abbott Elementary and it's always sunny cast would react to the Eagles, uh, winning the Super Bowl. Um, it's at Hope's Loop Entertainment. Um, I apologize if I spelled that wrong, but I'm sending you two now.

[00:06:20] You can watch it after the, after the episode. But if you haven't seen it yet, it's great. And other people have had great content as well. Okay. Yeah. Maybe, maybe. I don't know if we can get away with it, but maybe we gotta start showing, uh, the TikToks, the cool Abbott TikToks here on our podcast is we do have this video meeting. I feel like we could at least start posting maybe like best tweet or skeet of the week or something like that. Like we start posting some of our favorite,

[00:06:48] I don't know how we could make the TikToks work on this platform. Maybe that's like an Instagram real thing in the future that we do. But I think something like that, like we have some very funny fans here. Like Abbott Elementary, uh, fandom is elite. I think, yeah, I think we gotta get tapped in. So let me work on the technical side of what that looks like. I'll make it know. And we'll see what happens. Yeah, we'll put that in our, in our, in our agenda for year two.

[00:07:17] Um, Abbott fans, if you didn't know, this is the second year of Recap Kickback. G and I have been, uh, doing this since the post-show recaps days, I guess, technically. Uh, and, uh, now we are here in year two of Recap Kickback. So we're gonna try to spice it up. So let us know in the comments what it is that you think we could bring to the Abbott Elementary coverage. We would love to interview some of the cast if possible, but, um, we don't know them in real life. So y'all gotta help us.

[00:07:41] Go find them, add them, let them know that we have this amazing podcast and we want to talk to them and celebrate our favorite show, Abbott Elementary. Um, so, yeah, keep that in mind as we move into year two of Recap Kickback. And now I think we have to talk about Mr. Morton. I've been holding this in for days. I know you're excited for this. Yeah, because Mr. Morton got on my damn nerves on this episode. I am sick of this, man. I understand. I get it, Jacob. I understand.

[00:08:08] Like, I've always thought Jacob was on the right side of history, but, like, this episode really kind of nails home why Mr. Morton is insufferable. Love this episode so much. And let me be clear. The kids were the stars. Yes! I think we have, there are a couple students in there that I think make very strong honorable mentions.

[00:08:37] But I think we know who the top kid of this episode is. I'm ready to take a bullet for little Courtney, okay? Yes! Like, y'all call it what it is. Like, she's still a child, but she's grown. Like, Courtney, you were this big the last time I saw you. So, they grow up so fast, Gia. What are we doing raising kids at this age, you know? I am really not, like, between Courtney, Chad, there are a couple other kids that names escape me right now.

[00:09:07] I need to make a list next time. But we have seen them when they were, like, just little, petite. To me, they looked like toddlers. I know that's not how old they are. I think they're probably, like, eight or nine. Or something. Yeah, yeah. Short kid age. But now they are, honestly, they're probably taller than me at this point. I think we, I see some of them towering over Janine. I know, I know what she's about.

[00:09:34] So, you know, now they're, like, seventh grade, eighth grade. Like, they're getting older. I'm like, I'm not ready for these kids' grad. These are the younger kids when we first started this series all the way back in season one. And now, obviously, we know that these kids are going to get older. But now I'm seeing it. I'm like, what happened to my babies? Yes. Oh, speaking of, yeah. I don't know this kid's name.

[00:10:02] And I'm going to have to look into, like, the IMDb or something to figure him out. But he's the little boy who poured the colored water into his flowers that changed the color of them. I remember when that little baby closed the toilets. Remember when he's, like, I went to the restroom? Like, that moment? This boy is doing whole science projects. It's like, we were just helping you go to the restroom last season. Why are these kids growing up so fast? He's the one. Watch him.

[00:10:29] He's going to be the one that we follow throughout the entire thing of Abbott. Because right now, I'm just not ready. They're like, he's going to leave the nest. He's going to graduate, leave the nest. What are we doing? I'm not ready for all these kids to grow. How do teachers do this every year? As a former teacher. I work at a college. So my students, while to me they are still children, and this is not a surprise to them. I tell them this regularly. Like, they are fully adults.

[00:10:57] So, like, they're not growing much in between these years. But how do teachers that have, like, young kids do this on a regular basis? I will never understand. Yeah. I get them when they're fully formed, too. Like, my specialty is the seniors in high school. They come to me and they already think they know everything. They're already grown. You really can't tell them nothing. But it's your job to try to, like, hammer in some wisdom. But I never saw them when they were little. So I don't have, like, any reference point for them.

[00:11:27] Now, the jarring thing is, like, five, six years after they graduate from high school when they're like, oh, I just got my first job working at NASA. And they're like, so what are you doing? I'm like, still teaching. You know. Still in the same spot I was in. You know. But thanks. Could you buy me lunch or something? That's the hardest thing. But, yeah. Watching these kids grow up is so fascinating. And I thought you're right. The Science Fair episode is a perfect highlight of what we've been saying is that the stars of the show, the heart of the show is truly the kids.

[00:11:57] Okay. So the child that we were talking about with the colored water for the flowers, they, apparently, so I'm reading a, I'm skimming through a description of the episode, a recap of the episode. I don't know why I didn't know the name of that. I write recaps for. For Olivia. Anyway. But you will never guess what this child is credited as on IMBD. INDB.

[00:12:25] Well, he's been on so many episodes. He has to have a name, right? This child is credited as Abbott's tiniest kid. Oh! Literally. Hold on. I don't know if you can see it. But, yeah. I can see it. Yeah. Abbott's tiniest kid. Abbott's tiniest kid. That is what the cutie pie is credited as on IMDB. They know what they're doing. Honestly, they're not wrong. You know, like this, like that baby is getting older and older.

[00:12:54] And we're still like, but he's the tiniest one. You know, he will be about five foot probably next season. He'll probably be in like the fourth grade in real life. And I'm like, oh, look at little baby. Little baby. Yes. That's incredible. One day he's going to have a growth spur and I'm going to cry. Yeah. Like this is my own child. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yes. Yeah. So, yeah. You're right. The kids here are the standouts. Mr. Borden was getting on my nerves.

[00:13:21] But the kids have to take over, Gia, to make sure that this science fair didn't go completely off the rails. Oh, yeah. Because everyone is playing a part. And I would argue to say probably for the worst of the experience of the kids here. Because we get, I loved this cold open here where, or I don't know if it was technically the cold open or the very beginning of the episode where we see more.

[00:13:47] And he is, we have, he is asking for teachers to volunteer for the science fair, right? Mm-hmm. And immediately for volunteers, Melissa and Janine stick out because Melissa knows the deal. It is way better to be a science fair volunteer than to be stuck as a judge with Morin. She already knows the deal.

[00:14:10] And then, of course, because it's what else could possibly happen here, Jacob gets selected as one of the co-judges with Morin. And to the shock of Barbara, she's also selected as a judge here. And we learned that while Jacob had about, like, three, his name in about three times because other people wrote in his name, Jacob wrote in Barbara's name for a little retribution, I think. That's real. That's real.

[00:14:39] Because they set Jacob up. They really did. You're supposed to be putting your name in a hat. They did extra, why didn't, first of all, why didn't Morin just write the names down himself? Like, sorry. I don't think they knew that everyone was going to conspire against Jacob. Like, Morin's not tapped in. He hates Jacob. But I don't know if he knows that everybody was willing to, like, the joke is that he hates Jacob. Jacob hates him. So it would be just that much funnier if he does.

[00:15:05] But I don't even know if Morin hates Jacob or if Jacob just hates Morin because everybody else hates Morin, too. No, I think originally, so this is when I loved the Morin-Jacob rivalry was when at the end of Morin's first episode that we ever got, which was like the science, the egg drop episode. He says at the very, very end, like the credits are rolling. He says, Jacob Hill, yeah, can't stand him. Right? Like, he hates this man, too. That's when I loved it the most.

[00:15:34] Now it's more like everyone's punching down on Morin. And believe me, Morin is the worst. But I think there's still hope for him to make some positive changes. It will take some time. But the end of this episode gave me a little hope here. Yeah. By the end of this episode, he had two new best friends in Jacob and Barbara. And so how far they've come from, you know, getting planted into this role and set up by all the rest of the teachers to being the closest people to Mr.

[00:15:59] Warden in the world, probably, because it seems like it's both of his ex-wives don't like him. And he has pushed everybody else away to the point where they're they're suggesting, like, maybe maybe do something different next time. You know, like, you're a scientist. You've done this experiment multiple times. You and you are the control in this situation. Maybe you are the problem. Because he is so bad that I was actually getting annoyed with Jacob and Barbara in this episode.

[00:16:27] His ick was rubbing off on them a little bit. I know. They were being very snooty here. And I did not like it. And I was really looking forward to Barbara judging on glitz and glam. And I just don't believe Morten has that kind of power to really kill that intuition from Barbara. You know, like you can't tell me that Barbara wouldn't have loved a purple sparkly volcano. Yeah.

[00:16:56] Mr. Morten's logic was a little it was sound. Right. He's saying this is science and science is rules and people need to understand how science works. It is very rigid. Like when something is something, it's just that. And that's what he was pretty much trying to get past them. And he's like, so you were awarding the kids for putting googly eyes on a potato and jelly beans on a volcano. It's really losing the point of science. I'm sure I'm supposed to be teaching them how things work, why things happen. And y'all are too busy talking about glitz and glamour.

[00:17:26] And so I think in his own way, he was like, you've stepped into my realm. Let me show you how things work. And Barbara and Jacob, respectfully, you know, they put up a good fight. But respectfully, they got in line. They decided, all right, we are going to lend ourselves to the scientific method. And very quickly, we saw that they were transforming into little Morton clones. It was like American Idol, but like everybody was Simon Cowell. Yep. Yep.

[00:17:53] And I genuinely did not like, Jacob, I don't even know you anymore. Right. It was uncomfortable. I'm like, what are you doing? And I get, and listen, I am not siding with Morton on here. Let's make that clear before people are like, he is a Morton fan. No. Fake news. Don't do that to me. Cut it out. But I get what he was trying to do. He wants to teach students how the world of science works. Mm-hmm. However, these are children. Children.

[00:18:22] And I want to reiterate the fact that these are children, like ages kindergarten to what? What do they call? Eighth grade. Eighth grade. Eighth grade. So like the oldest of your kids are probably like 14. But it seems like the kids that are participating in this are just like an array of volunteer children that wanted to take part in something different. Let them have a little fun with it. These are children.

[00:18:48] They don't need, these are not students pursuing their PhDs as they get older and pursue and decide they to have a love of science. Then they will know that they can't put googly eyes on a potato for their science experiment. So it's just, it depends. So I think it's like more, and you need to read the room. Yeah, for sure. We have several projects that we have to highlight, including, I think one that's very important. We meet Tyree. Tyree.

[00:19:16] He's a kid who is trying to do a water filtration system for a project. I mean, there's no reason for him to really feel that strongly about this, except for the water at Abbott is disgusting. And so he has like, I have a plan. I'm on a mission to clean the water. And I didn't get my dad to sign my permission slip. And so he goes to talk to Ava about this. And we know Ava has some daddy issues. She's not a big fan of her dad, Frank.

[00:19:44] And so she's kind of like, okay, I see you and I will help you out. And this sparks a level of competitiveness in these teachers when it comes to these science projects. Because Ava came to win. Mm-hmm. Easily. And listen, lest we forget, Ava is a doomsday prepper. Her filtering water is her bread and butter.

[00:20:07] It doesn't matter if Tyree wants to use it to go camping or the fact that, you know, the school has some pipes that they should be, someone should be doing something about. Yeah. But, but, but, but, this is Ava's bread and butter. Not only is she down for some doomsday prepping, she's also down for some winning. So, two plus two equals four. Ava's now in the science fair. Yeah. And she's here to not only win, but also to shame the other teachers.

[00:20:36] Melissa asked her, like, what, Ava, you think you're better than me? And Ava's like, yeah, absolutely. Did you miss that? Um, she also, yeah, yeah, like, get, get into it, Melissa. Now, the funniest thing to me about this episode, Ava versus Janine is hilarious. It always has been. It always will be. But when she, like, what does Janine even know about science? It took me back to the early days where Janine was legit.

[00:21:02] Like, I was like, this lady's a teacher and she has no clue how science works at all. That egg drop episode did wonders for my psyche. Just incredible work all around. But, you know, I mean, Ava's kind of right. I'm sorry. Like, I don't want to punch down on Janine. I know that's Ava's thing, but she's got a point here.

[00:21:27] You know, like, what is really, what is, what is Janine really going to do here with her, with her colorless, joyless volcano? Well, she says, like, oh, I think a volcano is cool. Like, what's cooler than a volcano? And Ava's like, what do you know about being cool? I was like, Janine, you're walking into the punches at this point. Dodge. You're beyond help here, Janine. I'm so sorry. Like, even your student mentee, I don't know what else to call her at this point or, like, what her role is.

[00:21:56] Even she has no faith in this project at this point. She was never in on the Janine of it all. She was rolling her eyes a moment. Janine's like, oh, volcano? Sounds like a blast. She's like, all right, girl. Like, all right. Not that great. Calm down. So many honorable mentions here for these kids. Because I wanted to give her a shout out for sure. Her and her jelly bean volcano. Like, that. This was an inspired pick. And she was just, I mean, the acting of these little kids. I really hope that they are able to springboard into some bigger roles.

[00:22:25] Because are these child actors or are these just kids at a school? I'm pretty sure these are child actors. Like, they shoot this on a set. They aren't, like, going. I mean, I assume there is some school involved on these sets. But, like, they are not at an actual school. They're not, like, learning lessons in between. As far as I know. Mm-hmm. It's not the documentary that it's painted itself to be for me. Like, but listen. In my mind, they have pulled up the cameras at a school. And they just let the kids act normal. And they feed them lines.

[00:22:55] And then, you know, they probably pay their parents a stipend at the end of the day. Like, that's how I read this. And they genuinely, like, this is genuinely how kids act in this environment. Like, these kids are clowns. But so are children in real life. So, this is, again, perfect acting here. I still think about that little kid that said, where Jeannie said, hi. And he said, bet you are. Mm-hmm. Yeah. That's an Emmy. Right. He should have gotten an Emmy on the spot for that. So, yeah. These kids are great.

[00:23:24] They all have some incredible moments. One day we'll, like, be able, one day we'll be able to do a Brant Steele with the Abbott Elementary kids. Yes. Yes. Listen, writing that down. Was the tiniest kid in Abbott the one who asked Barbara if she was drunk? He was like, is that Tanqueray? What did he ask her if she was drinking from her cup? I think it was him. We got to look into that. We're making a list of all the things we got to go back and find out now for our new Abbott lore.

[00:23:54] Because we got to keep up with these children. I know. Listen, now I realize that they're, listen, I don't know what I expected. I don't know what I expected from the show when it first started. I knew that, in retrospect, there were going to be children on the show. And those children were going to get older as the seasons go on.

[00:24:17] I did not expect to have to have this level of lore knowledge on these children's arcs. Like, why am I so invested in the father-son-esque relationship of Mr. Morton? I mean, not Mr. Morton, Mr. Johnson and Chad. I don't know. But there are, like, there are episodes, multiple episode arc that explains it to me. It's the same with Courtney growing up to be a little Ava, despite the fact she doesn't want to be a little Ava.

[00:24:46] She wants to be a little Courtney. But she's definitely a little Ava. She is a little Ava. Absolutely. Stop fighting it. With a smidge of, like, a little Miss Chimente. I don't think either of them would claim that. But I see it. I see the vision. Yeah. Courtney's project, we don't really know much about. Because it's a social experiment. And she's following the people around. She's taking notes. She's jotting it down.

[00:25:10] By the end, she will reveal that she's watching the teachers and kind of monitoring their competitiveness in relationship to power dynamics. And she has to call out everybody and say, like, hey, as I expected, adults cannot handle competition. And it's very clear that she's kind of right. When these teachers let loose, they were sniping each other. They were talking trash. They were talking trash about each other so much that they were actually talking trash about the kids.

[00:25:38] You know, it was like the kids' projects weren't good enough. And so by proxy, you can catch these hands, too. Like, everybody could get it. Everyone was talking noise. Courtney has some amazing notes, and I would love to read them. Publish the entire report. We need to see everything. Like, I want to release the report. Release the list. Yes, send us the documents, Courtney. I know there's a PowerPoint lurking around somewhere.

[00:26:08] There's got to be. Because everybody was in on it. Even Daya was in on it. Daya, girl, what are you doing helping? Get out of here. You're already on strike two and a half, and we haven't even talked about how you got there. I'm convinced Daya has, like, some type of diplomatic immunity at that school. I don't know the entire governmental system there, besides the fact that it is a monarchy, obviously.

[00:26:33] But I don't know what the power dynamics necessarily are between Ava and Daya. But I know Daya has something, you know? There's no reason she would be there that long if, you know, she wasn't, you know, she wasn't some, like, government agent or something like that. Let's, like, release the Daya lore, too, while you're at it. Yeah.

[00:26:57] She is kind of on Ava's bad side because she sometimes gives out visitor permits to people who don't need them. And I don't know if she is the one who does this, but Frank, Ava's dad ends up in the episode as well because Gregory mentioned the science fair. And he decided that he wanted to be a sponsor. And so he sent a check, and then he showed up at the school.

[00:27:23] And watching Ava and her dad interact, it's kind of intense, you know? For the show to be so light, there are times where I'm like, Frank, you need to go before I call the cops because why are you touching her? You know, like, I just, it really gets very tense and emotional. And then Ava, like Ava can only do, snaps out of it within seconds. Yep. Yep. I, listen, they're trying. They're trying to do the impossible and make me hate a Keith David character.

[00:27:53] Mm-hmm. But it's not happening yet, okay? Not yet. I need to know more. I need to know more. Apparently, what we got from this episode, right? Her dad, Frank, has been trying to come back into her life. And somewhere, there is another family in here. Frank, that is, has another family.

[00:28:17] So I don't fully know what the dynamics are between these two. But it seems like Frank is trying to rebuild that relationship and Ava is not interested in this fact. But they have some moments where you can see that, like, what could have been almost with, like, the, you know, they have similar senses of humor. They made each other laugh at one point. Like, you can see kind of, like, what could have been.

[00:28:47] And I'm assuming, again, this is Frank's fault. But, you know, like, what is happening here? But it seems like he is trying to come back into Ava's life in some way. He donated this money to help with the science fair. He's one of the sponsors for it. He knows damn well he didn't need to be there the day before the science fair here. So I don't know what's happening, but I'm curious to see where they go with this. No, that's a good point.

[00:29:17] Because by the end, like you said, it does feel like they're warming up to each other a little bit. At least to me, it did. He was there with his, with another lady. And Ava doesn't really acknowledge her. And so I didn't know if this is, like, the other family, you know? I couldn't tell. And so I was, like, I was kind of watching to see if we could get any clues. But, yeah, it feels like it's on the mend a little bit. They're not really making any real progress. But I guess my question is more, like, how do we get here?

[00:29:46] You know, like, she snatches away from him even when he touches her. You know, so that's why I was, like, do I need to be defensive? Do I need to kick Ava's ass? You know, like, what are we doing? But I would love to see, you know, they kind of fix whatever this issue is. Because anything that affects Ava negatively is something I don't want to see on the show too much. That is exactly it. Listen, I am struggling between the two parts of me. One wants to see Ava happy all the time.

[00:30:12] And the other part of me wants Keith David to be a recurring character on Abbott Elementary. So, I know, this is a really difficult crossroads for me. But I think we're going to have to be Team Ava in this situation. And hope that Keith David can redeem himself so that we can get him as a recurring character after this season.

[00:30:38] Yeah, this was largely facilitated in a way by Gregory, who it doesn't look like he has a real interest in hooking Ava up with her dad. But this was his fault. You know, he mentioned it at the barbershop and now Frank is in their lives. So, what do you think about Gregory kind of being the catalyst to this relationship coming back together? This is what happens when men talk to each other. We just need to stop it. We need to stop it in its tracks.

[00:31:05] Listen, no deadbeat daddies getting second chances on my watch without Ava's approval. However, yeah, I think Gregory was intending for it to, like, spiral into, like, Frank welcoming himself into the school to make sure that Ava got his money. But, damn Gregory, like, be aware of your surroundings.

[00:31:31] What are you doing yapping about your school science fair when her dad that she does not talk to is right there? How big is this barbershop? It did not look that big. Like, control your volume, sir. Yeah. Gregory's making this happen. Maybe it's the Janine rubbing off on him. Because, you know, Janine just had the urge to fix stuff. Maybe that.

[00:31:52] Even when they had their little moment and Ava's doing the fake crying bit here, that Janine was even saying, it looks like he's, like, trying to. And maybe part of this is because Frank is putting a lot more effort into this than I think Janine's mom did in the episode that we saw her return for an episode. But, like, I don't know.

[00:32:19] I think it could be a little bit of Janine, you know, Janine rubbing off on Gregory. We know that those two, those two head-ass couples, they, you know, they can be like that. Yeah, for sure. So, the storyline ends for the science project with eventually nobody wins. Nobody wins because Mrs. Howard is a hater. And the tiniest kid in Abbott made sure he pointed that out.

[00:32:48] Give the boy an Emmy. And then eventually, once the students take over, Courtney will be the winner of the entire science fair. So, go, Courtney. And shout out to all the kids who made this episode so great because this was so much fun. The kids were the victim. I mean, Ava was a victim as well, but the kids were too. Ava was also kind of a perpetrator here too. Yes. Not with Frank.

[00:33:10] She was, she was also kind of, you know, she was the spark that lit up the inferno that happened to be what the science fair ended up being here. Because once Ava gives the approval, it's gloves off, you know? Yeah. I will say, of all the adults this round, the best one to handle the science fair situation, and you know who I'm about to say,

[00:33:40] our very own hidden figure, Mr. Johnson. He was on the kids' side 100% here. When people were saying they couldn't overthrow the science fair results, he said, no, we already yelped an agreement. And I was like, woo! So, he had me rolling this episode. He was great. More Mr. Johnson, like, being a supervisor to the children, please. Yes, absolutely. So, yeah, great 13th episode of the show.

[00:34:08] We have to go back and talk about the 12th episode, too. But, yeah, I think you're right. We needed to start with that because it was an incredible episode. I really enjoyed all of it. And I think anytime they're really highlighting the students, it's really going to go a long way. But, like, these kids were definitely the victims to all the teachers, you know. But they did get a field trip in the previous episode.

[00:34:31] So, I was happy because we finally kind of got the head of the golf course storyline. You know, we kind of left it a little bit to talk about the scepter strike, which at the beginning of this episode, we see ends. It's over. Like, at first I thought, are we going to do this for longer? But they wrap it up in the first, like, 30 seconds. Yeah, I was kind of surprised that they didn't make it last longer.

[00:34:59] If that, like, not that it was going to be a whole season arc, like a lot of these storylines are. But I thought we were at least going to get it for, like, two, three more episodes to just kind of, like, wrap it up from there. But, no, it was kind of like we got a little bit of it in the episode before the party bus episode. Then the party bus episode, the scepter strike was the main point of it, the main storyline.

[00:35:28] And then the very beginning of this episode here. Yeah, we knocked it right out. And then we got back to the golf course storyline because Mr. Nathaniel is let into the school by Daya, whose job is in jeopardy. She needs to stop that. And he comes in and invites all the students and teachers to come to the golf course sneak peek of the pre-grand opening preview, which to me sounds like something he made the hell up.

[00:35:55] Like, at the moment he said that, I was like, you want these people so far away from the actual golf course opening day that you came up with a pre-grand opening preview, sneak peek of the pre-grand opening. So there's a sneak peek. Then there's the pre-grand opening. Then there's the preview. Then there's like the opening. So about five degrees of separation away from actually being there with any golf course members.

[00:36:19] It's like enough time for them to sanitize the entire place before they have the pre-opening to the opening, just in case. Yeah. And the teachers aren't really into it at first. Mr. Johnson suspects that maybe they need to save Michael Jordan from like a space jam situation inside of the golf course. It's like, do we need to pull Michael Jordan from a hole? But I think that's a very fair question, though. Anytime somebody says the word dibbit, like, oh, we're fixing a dibbit. I just think about space jam because I'm an old.

[00:36:49] And so anytime someone like what other reason would I be at a golf course for other than to save Michael Jordan from a space jam situation? It's more common than you would think, honestly. You know, I just don't like what other reason would I be golfing? Mr. Johnson, like tapped in correctly as usual. But we don't get a lot of Mr. Johnson in this one. He doesn't make his way to the golf course, does he? No, I think he was remote cleaning that day. Which he deserves, right? He deserves it.

[00:37:17] Like, honestly, I respect it. Let the man have his time. Mm-hmm. The rest of the teachers, they decide to go because of free food. And as a former educator, look, yes, that's exactly what you need to do. Feed us and we will be there. You can give us free stuff. I do not believe in one bit. Yeah, free food, sign me up. Speaking of food, Janine has a reservation at the restaurant called, is it Valet's Daughter?

[00:37:47] Yeah. Yeah, I think that was the name of it. Yeah. And she wants to go with Erica. Now, I was watching this in the real time. And when it was happening, I was very confused. I was like, why aren't you going to dinner with Gregory? And then slowly this storyline. Yes. We're reminded that Gregory doesn't actually eat food per se. It's a very limited selection on foods.

[00:38:13] And as a person that loves food of all kinds, this just sounds so distressing to me. Because I'm like you, Chappelle. If there's a situation where free food is being offered, I will find something I like there. Like, you don't have to worry about me. I will be fine. Yeah. It's a Parisian and French fusion restaurant. And Gregory would not have volunteered had Barbara not pushed him to it.

[00:38:37] And so this episode is going to really center around Barbara trying to figure out a way to get Gregory to step out of his comfort zone and try other cuisine. And this doesn't feel like Barbara is doing this for Gregory and Janine's relationships. Like, she's trying to paint it like, oh, you don't want to let Janine down. She's going to be so disappointed. I think Barbara has just, the educator in her who deals with probably kids who are afraid to try new things, who have immature palates.

[00:39:06] She's probably had this conversation before, but with tiny people, right? And so now she's having this conversation over and over again with Gregory, and he is miserable throughout the whole episode. Yeah. I don't know if you have any picky eaters in your life, Chappelle, but my youngest brother is a very picky eater. And my stepmom texted me after she had watched the episode before me. And she said, watch the episode and tell me who Gregory reminds you of.

[00:39:34] And I immediately knew who she was talking about. But yes, this was the perfect representation of a picky eater, especially a picky eater in their adulthood. Because sometimes, you know, people's palates expand. It's fine. It happens. But sometimes that picky eater will stay with you. Mm-hmm.

[00:39:55] And the thing that bothers me the most is that when you're an adult and you're a picky eater, I understand if you have reasons behind the things that you won't eat, right? Like, if there's, like, some type of traumatic food experience or maybe, like, you know, an allergy or a consistency of a certain thing that you just don't like. But Gregory is one of those people who I have never tried this and I don't like it.

[00:40:25] You know, it's like I don't have to taste it to know I don't like it. I don't like it. And I can be that way about certain things. But he seems to be that way about literally everything. I, listen, I get it. Because, like, this is, this is a grown man. Like, sir, you need to try some things. But I feel like in the grand scheme of things, like, it doesn't bother me as much.

[00:40:49] But then when it's stuff like this, where, like, you literally will not eat anything at this restaurant that we're going to, do not piss me off. Because I love trying new foods, right? Like, that would be hard for me. Yeah. Because what are we going to talk about if you're not going to eat food? You know, like, I, like, it's like telling me you don't watch the meat. Because I won't eat in front of you with you having an empty plate. Right.

[00:41:14] And people are going to try to make me feel like I'm the jerk in this situation when you could have just tried some pasta. I don't know. There's, I'm sure there's something there. Right. There's got to be something that you try. I mean, Gregory was running from ahi tuna. He was running from, it was like, it was, it was, like, slightly adventurous food, I would say. Like, shrimp ceviche, watermelon cup. Like, that's nothing. This was not, okay, I will give him the shrimp thing.

[00:41:43] Because if shrimp is a certain texture, I do not like it. I will still eat it. But I'm a little picky about it. I don't think this was the right venue for Barbara to have Gregory try new foods here. Like, you should have started with, like, a Lunchable and go. Like, truly, though, truly. Like, start with some bagel bites and then move upward. Like, this ahi tuna, it took me forever.

[00:42:12] My dad tried to get us one time to eat more foods when I was younger. And one time he tried to, like, he gave us, like, canned tuna and did, like, tuna sandwiches. I hated it. I hated the smell. I hated the texture. So it took me forever to try ahi tuna as a full adult. And now I like it. But I'll never forget that. I was, like, eight then. And I'm 30 now.

[00:42:37] And I will still tell my parents, remember when you tried to make me eat something and it was terrible? And then I learned how to like foods on my own? Yeah. I remember. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. You know, this, like you pointed out, this place, this country club golf course or whatever, they have, this is very nice food. They've invited the students here. And everybody's pretty wowed by the amount of, like, the opulence of this place, right? It's very nice. They got a lot of money, you can tell.

[00:43:07] It was built on the land of the Lenape people. And that sucks because, you know. Of course it was. Yeah, of course it was, right? He was like, I hope they're doing well. I was like, how are they doing well if you're on their land? That is the most foul response. You can possibly, I did not think there was such thing as an out-of-pocket land acknowledgement. And they did it here. Out of pocket. Yeah.

[00:43:37] What is wrong with this man? I think I hate this man more than Morton. I feel like there's redemption for Morton along the way. There is no redemption for this man. Mr. Nathaniel is hilarious. Like, this man is, he is so good in this role. I know. Like, if I see his actor on the street, I might try to fight him. That's true. That's true. That's a good point. That's how good of an actor he is. Mm-hmm. At this country club, they have the Alba White Truffle,

[00:44:06] who, which is obviously a mushroom, but it's $4,000 a pound. Of course, Ava knows that off the rip. Melissa is very impressed. And we don't get this pairing often, Gia. This is my favorite storyline of the episode. This is it. This is the one. Arguably, I would say Abbott's two most intelligent beings, besides Mr. Johnson. Obviously.

[00:44:36] Who was not there because Melissa hates what she can't have. We knew that. But these are two of our smartest characters here doing something they both love, which is crime. Yeah. Why do we not get this more often? Thievery, skullduggery, you know, you name it. They just linked up. And it was just like, I said, why don't we have more episodes with just the two of them? I had the same time.

[00:45:05] Why do we not get this pairing more? Like, Barbara and Melissa are obviously stars, right? Like, this is a pairing we always get exciting about. Janine and Gregory, they're on their cutesy, head-ass, you know, couple stuff. Jacob and Gregory, hilarious. Jacob and Morton, even more hilarious. Why don't we get more Ava and Melissa? This pairing just feels so perfect to me. Feels so right. Like, when we do the It's Always Sunny crossover,

[00:45:35] those are the two. And Mr. Johnson, the three that I really need to see. The big three. The big three. I need to see them all interact more on the Always Sunny side. Like, we've all- I need to see them in Patty's Pub is what I really need to see. Like, they gotta bust up in there for a reason. Like, we just gotta, just, just, please give me that. Like, I started watching It's Always Sunny, Gia, just to kind of, like, get familiar. Oh my God. Yeah, the early days were rough, okay? It was, it was the ghetto over there.

[00:46:04] It was, it's still ghetto. It's still ghetto. These people have not evolved. Now they have Frank. Frank was a late, I forgot when I was originally watching the show, Frank is not in the first season. Yeah, he shows up at the end. Yeah, okay, yeah, you're right. And then he comes back, he's, becomes the last member of the gang in season two, which, perfect decision. No, absolutely no notes on that.

[00:46:32] But they, like, every time you think they can't get any lower, they get a shovel and dig. It is truly an art form of, like, that was, now you see part of the reason why I was so confused about how they were gonna make this crossover work. Yeah, and now I know that I need Ava, Melissa, and Mr. Johnson all really intricate to whatever that storyline was gonna be. Like, I need them in it. Cause this was hilarious. They are going to, Melissa and Ava are going to

[00:47:00] try to steal a few of these truffles. $4,000 a pound is wild. And they're passing them out to children who are not eating them, okay? They're just like, they're basically there for decoration until, you know, the real members of the golf course start showing up, the real clients. And so if they got money like that, they won't miss a few pounds. And so we need a distraction. Ava's distraction, Gia. Who writes this show? Let me talk to Quinta.

[00:47:28] Cause why did this woman pull out the legendary front handspring, step out, round off, back handspring, step out, round off, back handspring, full twisting layout? Then she, nevermind, I just remembered, I don't know how to do that. No, she's not gonna do that. No, sorry. Perfect distraction though. Yeah, first of all. It works. It, it should have. Because everybody, when you hear that, that statement, bring it on, just pops into your mind.

[00:47:55] And you're like, man, I remember when Missy did that. You know, like, I remember when that was a thing. Uh, and it was just such a, like a shocking callback to me. Like who would have thought that she could just, uh, whip that one out. Um, and you're right. It does work. They're able to get their hands on the truffles and they will come in handy later on. Uh, but first we have to address the, the two people who I would say are the most tapped into what could possibly be going on,

[00:48:24] uh, at this golf course is Jacob and Janine. But heavier on Jacob because Janine is very focused on the Arnold Palmlers that are being given out freely here. Yeah. Janine comes in kind of like, I don't know about this. Like, no, this is not really sitting right with me. You know, she's noticing like the performative framed photo of Charlie Sifford, the first black man to compete in the PGA tournament,

[00:48:53] which, you know, I guess she was like, I'm not impressed by any of this. Um, but after the Arnold Palmlers start to hit the, you know, hit the scene, I think she's up to like, maybe like 13 or 14 by the time she decides to start wearing the merch, um, the performance fleece, uh, at the, at the country club. So she's in, she's all in. Yep. She slowly but surely gets reeled into

[00:49:19] the glitz and glam of the golf course. I think that's the second time I've said that this episode. Glitz and glam is a big factor in these two episodes here. Gold star for the glitz and glam. Um, she does catch on that. She sees Mr. Nathaniel over there interviewing one of the students. And it's very clear that he's trying to get the student to be like, hi, I'm a black kid and I support this country club. Like that's very much the energy that it's giving us. And that's a problem

[00:49:48] because Mr. Nathaniel, you said you were doing us a nice thing. You said you were thanking us for being cooperative with the golf course and all that good stuff. But it really starting to feel like you're exploiting these children for personal gain. And as the teachers, at least we know Jacob won't stand for this. Yeah. Jacob is kind of over it. He's been suspicious about the golf course for a while. And he is not as swayed by the Arnold Palmers. I cannot talk.

[00:50:18] Arnold Palmers. It's really hard. Who came up with that? I get that. I know it's a man's name. I know it's a man's name. But why did y'all name him that? Huh? Why did they name it? Could they even pronounce it when they said it? Arnold Palmers. Arnold Palmers. Sea cell, sea cells by the sea. Never. I could never say that. That part. Sorry. That part. But Jacob is especially, you know, he is still focused on trying to get,

[00:50:48] what was that student's name? RJ. The Black Tiger Woods. I was going to call him CJ and I know that's not right. RJ. Yes. RJ. He's, I think, rightfully a little protective of the students, but particularly with RJ here. And he can really, you know, if there's one thing Jacob knows to pick up on, it's performative white bullshit. And he senses it a mile away with these interviews. And,

[00:51:16] and he knows the toxic culture behind golf as well, especially when it comes to the gentrification of this area. So Jacob's all in on taking them down, especially when he hears about how RJ is really taking up with this golf course. I think we finally found a thing for him. And it makes total sense, right? Because RJ has told us, like, I don't like a lot of people around. I don't like a lot of noises.

[00:51:45] I kind of like to be to myself. He was describing a golf course. You're pretty much to a T, you know, no pun intended. And so here we've said like, nah, he's really tapped in. He's interested in everything. He's finally got, uh, you know, something to latch onto. He's finally happy. We saw him smile this episode. Right. And he hadn't been doing that. Now, mind you, uh, we actually got a comment on our YouTube page from, uh, low maniac, 85, 73. And it said in the last episodes that we talked about,

[00:52:14] Ava did flag up that RJ's dad has had a serious case of the struggle face. And we never really talked about it on the podcast, but I thought, and I kind of still think that that might be something we have to address. Uh, because although RJ is happier, he went from like miserable to happy. And I just don't know golf is what would really take you to the next level. So I feel like there's still one more underlying thing at the end of this episode that we need to address with RJ. And we just haven't gotten it yet. Ooh. Okay.

[00:52:44] Do we want to talk about it now? Or. I mean, do you have a, you have a, a theory? Cause I don't know what it could be. It just said his dad has a struggle face. And I was like, is that a golfer? You know, like, what are we doing? I don't think it's like, I think it could be. And we've gotten this from many kids at Abbott elementary, right? That, you know, the, what they're, how they're acting or what, uh, they're going through or, you know, what,

[00:53:12] whether they're in school or not in school, especially. And we just saw this in the, uh, septa strike episode two is influenced partially, if not fully by whatever's going on at home. So we know that I didn't really think too much about this comment. Chappelle, I don't know about you where. So I just seemed like, you know, some students are not some people, some students are not very expressive. Some of them are not,

[00:53:42] you know, like going to be a motive all the time. And some adults are like that too. Like sometimes people are just, you know, not going to be extroverted people. And it seems like RJ really does. He, he becomes a lot more social by the end of the episode, but I don't think it's not, it's going to happen just because, you know, like he's still like, he's still going to be a quiet extroverted kid. A lot of the time.

[00:54:12] And that's fine. I don't think it necessarily has to be because something is going on at home, but it also could be like, maybe his dad works a lot, you know, or maybe he isn't about the strike. Maybe. He could be impacted by the strike. He could be, you know, like going, you know, he could be like picking him up and then going immediately to work. So, you know, like he's just tired all the time. I'm tired all the time. RJ's dad, I get it. But you,

[00:54:38] we know also Ava really only knows some of these students by how hot their dad is. So she's going to know if a dad has struggle phase, right? Like that's how she's going to categorize this student and level of importance to her. So I don't know. I don't know if that comment is going to lead to something bigger. If that makes sense. At least that was not how I interpreted it,

[00:55:03] but I could totally be wrong as we get further into this season or in another future episode. Yeah. I want to track it. I want to track it because if, had we not tied up the RJ storyline here in this episode, I would be like, yeah, let's let it go. We tied it up so fast. I'm kind of like, Hmm, is this, is this over? Um, because we see that RJ really loves the golf course. Uh, we catch a few, what I would call microaggressions because one day RJ can even be a caddy.

[00:55:32] I want, again, when you see there's a, you see a child that is not excited about anything, finally get excited or something. And that man replies, you can be a caddy one day. I want to fight him. I want to fight him. I want to eat every single truffle that Melissa and Ava spilled or that they stole right in front of his face with no remorse. I truly,

[00:55:59] I don't think I've ever wanted to fight an Abbott elementary character more than in that moment there. You're telling RJ he could be a caddy, a caddy. He's so excited about this golf course. So excited. He finally found something that he's passionate about. Act a little excited. Damn. No, no, no. Mr. Nathaniel's on a, this is a business trip for him. He's trying to get all these minority kids in the photo. Poor, poor Charlie. He just pushes them onto the back. All right. All right. White kid, get,

[00:56:26] get behind these black kids and this three-legged dog that we're going to use and post on Instagram with the hashtag Black Lives Matter amongst others. Hashtag charity day or charity. Oh, charity day. Yeah. I want to fight him. This really pisses off Ava. Yeah. This really pisses off Ava. She doesn't like being called a charity case. And so Jacob says, all right, Mr. Nathaniel's acting like he wants to give back to the community. Let's hold him to it. Right.

[00:56:56] If you're going to exploit us, then we too will gain something from this. And so they go and they demand a free golf program at Girard Creek for Abbott Elementary students. Initially, Mr. Nathaniel is not moved, but, but Gregory shows up. And in the background of all of this happening, Barbara has tricked Gregory into eating potty. Costa laced with white truffles. And he likes it.

[00:57:25] And he kind of appreciated the experience of Barbara introducing him to a new food. And so he's ready to hold these $4,000 truffles hostage and eat them directly in this man's face until he gives them what they want. And so Mr. Nathaniel does fold. Now, Janine does have a very aggressive moment about the Arnold Palmers as well, but she just really needs to know what's in the ingredients. Yeah, she was, she was hyped up on a little sugar. There was a lot of sugar in that Arnold Palmer.

[00:57:54] I felt so seen in that moment because Arnold Palmers are so good. Yeah. I don't even drink them like that, but they're delicious. Like when it's hot out and you just need like something light and sweet. Oh, Arnold Palmers are it. Yeah. They come in such a cool can too. Oh, love them. My favorite line of the episode is when Ava calls him a silly bitch.

[00:58:22] It's between that and Janine being like, yeah, Gregory's coming and he fights parents. You know? I did laugh at that one. The, the, what was it? Oh yeah. Because throwback to the fight last one or a few episodes ago. Incredible, incredible work done by the entire cast. Not as much Mr. Johnson as I would like, but other than that, you know, perfect episode. Yeah.

[00:58:50] Jacob is highlighted really at the end of this. And everyone's proud of him for helping them, you know, get to this point. And he says every student at the school has like needs like this, but he can't give them each the attention they need. And then it just kind of ends there. Did you feel like that? Such a downer. Well, that's what I was going to say. Does it, do you feel like it's leading us to something, you know, like have, remember when Barbara just like casually threw out retirement. This feels like that. Like, yeah,

[00:59:19] I really wish I can help people, but I just can't do it. And it was like, dot, dot, dot. Hmm. I know. I don't like this for us because what do you mean, Jacob? Jacob, you did so well here. And so that's, this line is partially why I think we are, I think we will still see RJ around. I think we are done with this main storyline of Jacob trying to find him an area of interest. Just for me personally, that's the vibe I'm getting from this moment.

[00:59:51] However, the way that it ended with that line. And it wasn't like alluding to like seeing another kid being sad or anything like that. Like, it wasn't like we're going to have like another student that Jacob is going to try to help in these next batch of episodes. But it does make me curious if we're going to see more from Jacob outside of Abbott Elementary. Like he,

[01:00:21] it was just an odd way to end when it did feel like we did see a positive change, you know, like ideally there is going to be a positive change in here in that RJ has found something that he's really passionate about. But it was just an odd way to end. And I don't know if it was because we're going to get a separate arc around Jacob after this season, maybe,

[01:00:50] or at the end of the season, or if it means that if it's just a reminder to the audience that like, listen, this was great. We're glad we were able to help a student out, but we can't physically give every student what they need. And in this moment or in like, in the amount of time we are given with them. Yeah. Yeah. It lingers on his face a little too long for my liking. Right. It made it feel like, Hmm,

[01:01:19] like there might be something going on here. Right. Um, so let's, it's a very good thing to point out that like, we know these teachers mostly for their in school life, but we do see them outside of work a little bit. We've seen that like Jacob's family, we've met Janine's family, met Ava's family. Like we were meeting the people. And I think this has always been on for four seasons.

[01:01:44] I think they're going to have to start to really loop in some more of the content about these people's personal lives. Uh, because we already did the big one with, uh, Gregory and Janine, you know, the will they won't they. So we've got to find something for these other teachers to do. Uh, and there's not always going to be a social issue to tackle at school every day. So, uh, very excited to see what that could look like. Gia, I was checking out the episode guide and the course this week's episode. The one that, uh,

[01:02:11] we'll be talking about in a couple of weeks is the Valentine's day episode. Uh, you know, so I think there will be some Janine and Gregory content. Hope, hopefully we will get some other content. I'm rooting for Ava and Oshon. I know, I know I'm a hopeless romantic, I guess. Um, listen, they fed, they fed us here. They fed us in these, these past episodes with, uh, the Ava and Oshon, like, just give us what we want. Don't play with us. Give us what we want. But then Gia, I'm noticing,

[01:02:40] I don't think there's an episode next week. I think there will be the next episode. The episode of Abbott will drop on February 26th. Oh yeah. So there's an episode tonight when we're recording this. Cause I forgot today was Wednesday. Um, and then we don't have an episode. That's our Valentine's day episode, but it's called district budget meeting. And then no episode next week. It's winter break for little kids out there. Not for me though.

[01:03:10] I still got to go into work if anyone was wondering. And then the week after that, the 26th is our next episode. So that's it. We will be back in roughly two weeks to talk about the next pair of episodes from Abbott elementary, uh, season four. Uh, but this has been fun talking about these two. After that, we're at the home stretch with one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight episodes left. I believe. Uh, so yeah, it's so sad.

[01:03:40] It has, it really has. And so, uh, we will take a week longer hiatus than we normally take. And then we'll come back to kind of complete the home stretch of Abbott elementary season four. But until then, Gia. Yeah. What's up? So you can follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Tik TOK, and blue sky at classically Gia for all of my reality TV shenanigans. I'm on a little break from, uh,

[01:04:08] survivor content right now because, uh, survivor 48. I, I keep losing track of these seasons. Survivor 48 premieres in, I think it's actually February 26. If I'm not mistaken. Um, that premieres at the very end of February. So until then I posted our last articles for the 50 for 50, uh, our draft, four survivor.

[01:04:35] That's where me and five others inside survivor writers drafted 10 survivor players each that we wanted to see play again. I think my list is great. Some commenters disagreed, but that's okay. They're wrong. They are wrong. You're right. You are right. I need the final, the Fiji final three back. It's just like, anyway, anyway, anyway, all my picks were right, but that is neither here nor there because, uh,

[01:05:05] in the meantime, Chappelle and I are going to be working on, uh, I think we already announced it. Um, but around next week, sometime we'll be recording a brand steel of some of our favorite black cartoon characters. Yeah. I figured since we don't have Abbott for a week, we can fill that spot with something else. You're right. So, yeah. Tune in to the black cartoon character, Brent steel with our special guest, eight ball bangers. We will be bringing that to you, uh, soon.

[01:05:33] It's going to be what happens if all the black cartoon characters in the black cartoon character universe came together and play the game of survivor. It matches our Abbott elementary coverage because we know Abbott is very much tapped into what's going on in survivor. It's a thing here. Abe was a big fan and so are we. So make sure you check that out as we celebrate back history month. Gia, where can the people to follow you? Uh, at classic Gia on Twitter, Instagram, blue sky, and Tik TOK. I have to make sure I get them all there. Yeah.

[01:06:03] And, uh, make sure you tune into the other recap kickback content we have here as well. Mario and I talked about the super bowl. That content should be up shortly. Uh, and so, uh, mostly about the halftime show, but we did kind of dunk on the chiefs a little bit. So if you're not, if you're not, yeah, but if you're a chiefs fan, maybe sit that one out, you know, uh, or. It's fine. Yeah. But check out the podcast, make sure you share it, like subscribe, all that good stuff. And then tune in next time when we're back to do our brand steel,

[01:06:30] and then come back after that for our Abbott elementary season for a home stretch for GM for myself. Class is over. You ain't got to go home, but you got to get the help out of here. We'll catch you all next time. Peace. Woo! Woo! Woo!
