[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Bel-Air Season 3 Episodes 7 and 8 are over.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_01]: They're on your streaming service.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: They're on Peacock ready for you to watch them.

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_01]: And we are here to talk about them here on Recap Kickback.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_01]: It's me, your host Chappelle.

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And with me per usual, my tag team partner here in these Bel-Air streets.

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_01]: It's Poo-ya.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Poo-ya, what's up?

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_04]: I am excited.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_04]: It's always a blessing to get to talk to you man.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_04]: And we get to talk about Bel-Air, which has been very good.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_04]: I will say eight episodes in I've been gripped the whole way through.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like this season.

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I think I need to go rewatch season 2, but I'm thinking I feel this like a little bit more than season 2.

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Because right now, I think we've hit the peak of the drama.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, this is a 10 episode season, I believe.

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And so we're only one podcast away from the finale.

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_01]: This is 7 and 8.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think we've hit the peak of the conflict.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that we have seen what's going to happen or what is bound to happen to Amira.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_01]: We've also seen, you know, some of the drama with Uncle Phil and his business portions.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And we've seen some several other storylines kind of emerge as well as we enter the second half of this season.

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: So as far as I'm concerned, this has been pretty good.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_04]: It's been very good.

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like they've driven the story well.

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like they've put a bow on a couple of pieces that I just feel like are kind of done now.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_04]: And so it allows us to look forward at other stuff.

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_04]: And we did see a couple of storylines kind of have a bow put on them in these two episodes.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm very excited to talk to you about them.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, let's jump right in.

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_01]: If you've been listening to us on Bel-Air at Posture Recap,

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_01]: make sure you come and subscribe here at RecapKickback.com, slash subscribe or come follow us on the YouTube page.

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: You can get us on all social media platforms as well, but you can also listen to us on all pie catchers.

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And so we're everywhere.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And so if you are enjoying the season and potentially want to come back for a season four,

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_01]: if there is a season four, make sure you subscribe so you get all those updates.

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_01]: But yes, we have a lot to talk about and some storylines that have definitely wrapped up.

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's start with Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv, because there's no longer trouble in paradise anymore, Boo-Ya.

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_04]: No, paradise opens doors to other couples sometimes, and that's kind of the way we went here.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Wild. Wild that for six episodes,

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_04]: we're building up this marriage on the brink of extinction and one little vacation and everything's back to OK.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they had to, you know, really appreciate and embrace one of the themes that I like to bring into my life and that I live by FTK.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Fuck them kids. And so once they really separated themselves,

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_01]: went and got on vacation and let go of some of the stressors that were at home and just allow themselves to be a happy couple,

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_01]: we saw them exploring in ways that I didn't foresee for Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_01]: It looked like we were about to do a little swinging, Boo-Ya.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_04]: We were very close. This summer has been all about swinging around our parts here.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like just all those shows are watching, but this was funny to me.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_04]: So they go on this little vacation. They invite along LaMarcus's family parents because,

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, they've been through a lot with their son having the injury.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_04]: So they're all together. Then they bump into some friends and I feel like these are the friends that you kind of left behind

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_04]: and they're from your wilder years, but they're here now and they're like, yeah, no, we do a lot of things.

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_04]: It's all about the Viagra for me. I got the Viagra ready.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_04]: This was wild. And I assume based on your lower Chiron that yours has to do with this specific resort.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah. So yes, we see Uncle Phil and LaMarcus's family.

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And then we also meet a third couple. This couple is Uncle Phil's frat brother and his wife.

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, this frat brother, he is the more adventurous one.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_01]: They're the adventurous ones. Him and his wife are like, no, we keep it spicy.

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, sometimes my wife will pay for me to do certain things.

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I believe in this episode he admits that his wife paid for him to get a massage and a happy ending at the end of that.

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I said, oh, okay. That's the life we live in massage and happy ending.

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Interesting. But this does start to open a conversation as to what other things they can do to spice up their love lives.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So we will see the conversation about Viagra, honey packs, having 25 year old play things as well.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_01]: It got kind of graphic here for the Banks family in a way that I don't think we ever saw in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_04]: The Fresh Prince never got this far.

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, first it was like you and you hear the audience go when you knew something was about to go down.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_04]: That was kind of the hey heads up. We're about to kind of kind of hint that there's some sexing going on here.

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like, yeah, you know, my man, you know, he lets me spank him when he's naughty.

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like that's kind of been helpful in our relationship.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_04]: That's something we're into. Also, we're just all gonna some Bay Topless now.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_04]: If you were like, okay, fine.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Other way. What are you doing?

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she let the girls out.

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was I was surprised a resort with a nude side.

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It just really didn't feel like something from Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv.

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_01]: But also they're trying to spice things up.

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to save this relationship and they know intimacy is where they lack.

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And so they have the perfect group of people around them at some point.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_01]: It even looks like we're going to get a full couple swap between them and their frat brother and his wife.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_04]: It got very close. This was kind of where they hinted, right?

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_04]: They're like, why don't you go keep Phil company and then I'll go here

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_04]: and then they kind of like swapped and they're in the pool in the jacuzzi chillin.

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_04]: And then the next scene they're like, can't believe we nearly let a couple seduce us.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_04]: I have only eyes for only one man. I was like, yeah, Sharif.

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Don't say Sharif. I didn't even say Sharif.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if they nearly let a couple seduce them this time,

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_01]: if Sharif was in the couple, do you think that it would have gone from nearly headless?

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, part of the experience. We might as well try see what it's about.

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, at that point, it feels more open to it. Maybe bring in Erica and Sharif as the other pair.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I think at that point, it might slap Erica. I really do. I don't I think that's personal.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that would have been a fun fight to watch, though.

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure. But yeah, my on if you're watching on YouTube,

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_01]: my headline here says enough alpha nonsense because once again,

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_01]: the French prince of Bel Air of this reboot has decided to remind us

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_01]: that Uncle Phil is a member of Alpha by Alpha fraternity

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_01]: and they do like their little little dances that they be doing.

[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. I didn't I don't respect none of it.

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It didn't seem like a nice group of people, but it's not really my bag.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Shut that down. So I don't need no more of that on my TV screen.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_04]: That's someone who is very, very, very non knowledgeable when it comes to the fraternities

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_04]: and all that they look like they were having fun.

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_04]: They look like they were reliving their youth. Yeah,

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_01]: that's that's what they like to do. You know,

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_04]: they put they asked the DJ for one song and they found two other brothers from the fraternity

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_04]: that were there as well that pulled up to dance with them.

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_01]: All I'm saying is that maybe these people in this organization can't keep their marriages together.

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And hey, I just was trying to pick up on the cues here and not and not the brothers,

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_01]: but picking up on what what exactly they were trying to lead us to believing

[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_01]: by showing all these alphas on the screen at one point.

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_01]: But you know what? Shout out to Alpha by Alpha.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, like I said, the little dances they be doing,

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_01]: they do good work in the community as well. Just not my kind of carrying on.

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, which fraternity do you think Sharif belongs to?

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_01]: He ain't he ain't he ain't he ain't no organization.

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Just the way he was moving out dirty. He was moving this season here.

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Alpha two. Matter of fact, you probably want to break.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_01]: All these dirty Mac and booze. That's probably exactly where they live.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_01]: My organization would never. That said,

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_01]: yeah, they don't actually swing, but they get dangerously close.

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's enough to get the spark going back in this relationship.

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_01]: And after that moment, we don't see any more friction,

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, for lack of a better term between Uncle Phil and a V.

[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_04]: That was must have been some good sex.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just everything else down.

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_04]: She was like she was like, no, we don't need to swing.

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_04]: But like, let's do it on the balcony. What if someone's good?

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Let them see and look, live your life, right?

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_01]: FTK, live your life. Go out here.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you think we grown you you you married?

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_01]: That's between y'all. The problem here is that you got kids.

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And this is where I be drawing a line.

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, OK, sometimes these folks with kids,

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_01]: you can't be publicly swinging and stuff like that because that stuff trickles down

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_01]: into their personal lives, especially influential family like the banks is.

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_01]: What if what if somebody saw them

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_01]: and recorded them or something like that from a distance?

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_01]: This would be big, bad news for the banks family, Uncle Phil.

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_01]: But all the way down to Ashley, everybody will be in turmoil because of this.

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's all about how you brand it and market it right where if it if news gets out,

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_04]: they get this is a couple that's very confident in their relationship

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_04]: and they are strong and they are good.

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_04]: This isn't something I don't think this is a fight in kink shame territory.

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_04]: This is a like, wow, Philip, big Philip Banks likes to be peed on.

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Like this isn't that like, you know, it's not bad.

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know that. But what I do know is if you were at this resort

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_04]: and they were on the balcony, you'd be on the other balcony like this.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Trying to get a look.

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_01]: If they come outside to show, show you got to look.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Are we looking for a spectator like some spectators, an audience or something like that?

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Who are me to just deny them of the whole experience?

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't give them what they want. Why are you out here?

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_01]: If you didn't want to get watched, I don't understand.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_01]: So you're right, though. The marketing of this thing be very important

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_01]: because it's really depends on how you flip it and some some positive.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess marketing would be great for Uncle Phil right now

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_01]: because he's getting a lot of negativity as we both for saw coming

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_01]: because the community is pushing back against Omar Campbell

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_01]: and I like how Uncle Phil ultimately ends up severing ties with Omar.

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_01]: But did you think it would get this out of control

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_01]: or we would see jazz will and the rest of the community literally committing vandalism

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_01]: to stop this gentrification from happening?

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, that's the thing I felt like when they were planning to do the vandalizing.

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_04]: I pretty much assumed they were going to go there cause a little mayhem,

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_04]: maybe like graffiti a couple of messages of like you're ruining the community

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_04]: or something and then one of them was like, you know,

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_04]: I'd be great here. You know what's missing fire.

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's let's light it up that I didn't expect to happen at all.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_04]: But everything else I was like this makes sense.

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_04]: If you feel like you're not heard to make a statement,

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_04]: even though it is a criminal statement,

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_04]: which is why jazz was like a will stay home go to bed.

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but you're you're you're a kid still.

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you don't need a part of this.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_01]: That's tried to step in and say will but we know will is going to get dragged into this kind of stuff all the time.

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_01]: This is just kind of his mo but I like that.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_01]: The show is taking this turn because I really thought it was going to come down to the banks household versus Uncle Phil,

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, jazz Ashley will Hillary all saying daddy.

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing? Are you pro gentrification?

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God, but instead Uncle Phil moves away from,

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, working with Omar once he realizes that a lot of the promises that Omar

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_01]: and Uncle Phil were making to the community were not going to be kept by the investors.

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_01]: He taps out. And so now I'm thinking this is going to be Omar

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_01]: and his legal team versus will and jazz in the community.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Now, would Uncle Phil having to stand with them to shut them shut this down?

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And I like this a little bit better. I think so, too.

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like Phil waited entirely too long to back out.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_04]: It basically became oh, they're not keeping some of these deals we wanted in, huh?

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay. Well, I'm out then I'm not going to deal with this.

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_04]: I like that Omar was like, I told you weren't ready for this.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Like Omar, you you used foresaw an arson happening to your project.

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_04]: You really thought this way was going you were not ready for what you were expecting.

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_04]: So I think this is the better storyline though,

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_04]: because what I would have not wanted is a big distraction in Uncle Phil versus the Banks family

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_01]: for the rest of the season. Yeah, I mean we only got two more episodes.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I think we know where this is going jazz was caught on camera

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_01]: and now has been identified as one of the vandals.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And so because of that we know that the police are going to get involved

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_01]: and Uncle Phil has worked very closely with the police held Lisa's dad is the DA.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And so we know things are going to get tense in these next couple episodes,

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_01]: but at the very least Uncle Phil is on the same side as will Carlton

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_01]: and the rest of the family right now.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Now when it's time to do the right thing and shut down this idea

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_01]: because like you said, this is still criminal activity,

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_01]: you know there how much is Uncle Phil going to be able to pull off by allow like stopping the gentrification

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_01]: but also like maybe saving jazz

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_01]: and the rest of the people from actual getting consequences for all of this.

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, that's the thing is like is he going to flip the script now

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_04]: and represent jazz and try and get jazz out of any kind of record

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_04]: that he might get from this activity

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_04]: or are they going to press jazz to be like who started the fire

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_04]: and his jazz going snitch because he might not want to snitch.

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_04]: So that's kind of where I think this could head

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_04]: because I do feel like the jazz and Uncle Phil interaction.

[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_04]: We got a couple episodes ago felt like it was unfinished like they're going to have more of a collaboration at some point

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_04]: and this makes the most sense for me.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, me too. The other person who really is leaning into I guess the marketing of her life is Hillary.

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_01]: We don't get a lot from Hillary,

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_01]: but we do know that Hillary has been focusing on the markets.

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_01]: She is becoming the Marcus's caretaker

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_01]: and really helping him with the things that he lacks now that he you know,

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_01]: is still recovering from his accident,

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, he's still considering football which we haven't talked about at all that the last time.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_01]: We really got into the markets conversation.

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_01]: We were trying to figure out is is he going to actually go back and play football?

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_01]: His family wants him to play football,

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_01]: but he could just drop dead like he did the first time we saw that happen

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_01]: and they haven't touched on that much.

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_01]: They're really now focusing on Hillary

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_01]: and what it looks like when she's trying to be an influencer in our own right for her own career,

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_01]: but it now seems like it's being put on the back burner for LaMarcus.

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_01]: So this episode really led us to talking about

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_01]: the people even respect Hillary as a content creator anymore.

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Like does she matter is she just getting sucked up into all of the wedding,

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_04]: you know excitement was she's getting complete her identity is fading away.

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_04]: She's kind of this happens with some couples.

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes I'm in that couple in that,

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_04]: you know when you're both successful and doing stuff instead of being appreciators to individuals,

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_04]: you can get wrapped into a unit you are we now

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_04]: and in this situation with LaMarcus and Hillary as big as Hillary was I think LaMarcus is the bigger star power

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_04]: because of his football.

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_04]: So I feel like she's kind of been sucked into his Vortex

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_04]: and now everything any kind of opportunity that's going to present itself.

[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_04]: It's Hillary the spouse of the football player not Hillary the content creator.

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_04]: So that's going to probably be a bit of a struggle that we're going to see here.

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but she puts her foot down. She does she speaks up for herself and LaMarcus has her back to you know,

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_01]: when their agent comes in and says, oh no, we have this big campaign going.

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be focused on the what was it the Hillary or something like that wedding?

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_01]: LaMillerie I forgot what they call it.

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_04]: I think was LaMillerie.

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah that that whole wedding.

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_01]: She had a whole layout storyboarded and everything and LaMarcus and Hillary are both like so what about the cooking?

[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_01]: What about you know, the stuff that Hillary's into and they have to put the agent in their place.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_01]: They're like, okay, well you go do what we actually told you to do

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_01]: and then we might pay you because right now this ain't it.

[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_04]: I love it because Hillary was like, yeah, you'll I'm sure you'll earn your 10%

[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_04]: because this is way too easy.

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_04]: You're taking the easy easy bag here, which she's not wrong.

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_04]: It is very easy money for Hillary to just be kind of like the trophy wife in this situation

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_04]: and kind of milk that you know, a wife of a celebrity vibe for a wave for a little bit,

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_04]: but she's not willing to compromise on that and I respect her for it.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah people love a showman's and so the moment you start talking about,

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_01]: you know relationships and stuff people can easily get behind that but you're right.

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not really what Hillary's into and like I said LaMarcus does support her

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_01]: and he ends up proposing again who you have

[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_01]: because he doesn't want to wait on a wedding months from now.

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_01]: He wants to get married next week in Martha's Vineyard.

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Can we talk about his singing? What did you think about his singing?

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I was dying. I don't know.

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Look, I can't even tell you if it was a good if it was good singing

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_01]: or not because he lost me at the song that damn let's get married.

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Remix is the bane of my existence.

[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I hate that song so much. And so the moment he started singing I was like,

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_01]: all right, LaMarcus we got to shut this down,

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_01]: but he's saying it like like he sang the song

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_01]: and I'm just thinking you didn't have to do that.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't need to play the song. You didn't have to do that.

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Luckily. He didn't do the rap.

[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_01]: There are so many aspects of that scene that I just really hated.

[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_04]: But what did you think it felt like the song was building up

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_04]: and then he paused the music as if like he didn't sing enough for it to matter.

[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Not that it was going to change anything,

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_04]: but I feel like we see this all it is a trope at this point,

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_04]: not just on scripted TV,

[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_04]: but non scripted we've seen people on 90 day pull stuff like this.

[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Stop like this isn't your lane. It doesn't give what you think it's giving.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Also, I don't like the idea that uncle Phil and auntie were hiding in the corner listening to this like yeah,

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_01]: supportive parents. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that Bel Air wants us to know that everybody on this cast can sing

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_01]: because we know enough. Yeah, yeah.

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_01]: At this point talented, right? Because we got actually starting a band.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Eli is singing writing her songs. You got Hillary who we know can sing.

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_01]: We've seen Ali charlatan's character as Carlton as a singer in this show.

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_04]: He does music as well. A lot of them do music outside of this.

[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I'm like what like we don't have to do this,

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_01]: but now they're going to show us that each of them is really talented.

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_01]: It reminds me those old Disney Channel days where like if you were in a Disney Channel show,

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_01]: they probably gonna do the music video somewhere. We got a verse somewhere.

[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_01]: You got a very sorry. Yeah. Yeah, this felt like that.

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_01]: But Hillary says yes, and now the wedding is going to get moved up.

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_01]: We haven't really explored any tension between Hillary

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_01]: and Lamarcus with the whole jazz thing. Do you feel like that's just over with?

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_01]: They're not talking about it much. No, no, no, no, no.

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_04]: I think I think that they'll there's still more to be said.

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Here's my theory. I'm going to throw this at you.

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_04]: So we talked about Trevor. Yeah, fresh Prince.

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_04]: And we're like, is there going to be a Trevor in Bel Air?

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_04]: And we're like, obviously the way Trevor goes out.

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_04]: We're not going to have a shock death like that. That is wild.

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_04]: However. She ultimately technically doesn't marry Trevor because Trevor ends up dying.

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think this wedding being moved up to a week.

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_04]: I think we're being set up for a runaway bride on the finale is kind of

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_04]: where I'm looking at. Oh, that's kind of what I'm seeing.

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like we're about to get the jazz sympathy at it

[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_04]: because if jazz is dealing with the law or they've,

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, thrown him in jail because he got identified whatever I could see something happening here.

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Chappelle, I could see it happening. Maybe not even necessarily for jazz.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it's just like a this isn't what I'm here for.

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Like this isn't my life and walks away.

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I would be very shocked if they get married by the end of the season.

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_04]: That's kind of where I'm at right now. Yeah,

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_01]: and now that you mentioned it I can definitely picture jazz is about to get thrown in jail

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_01]: and he needs a lawyer and Hillary comes to Uncle Phil like you got to help him.

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, she's like no jazz broke the law.

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_01]: She's like, but daddy, I love you, you know, and it's like what you love it.

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_01]: What? Oh my God, you know, so now you got to go in there and save his future son-in-law,

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, I could see something like that happening,

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_01]: especially like you said with the way with the wedding getting pushed up to a week from now.

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_01]: What's happening in the next week jazz is probably going to get arrested.

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_01]: We know this because we saw that they they found him on camera.

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_01]: They got his name.

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_01]: So it probably be in the next few days where that conflict will come to a head.

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's just convenient to me that the wedding and jazz is potential,

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, arraignment are probably pretty close in the date.

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think that's you know, a coincidence.

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, again, it's like you randomly moved it up to a week from now.

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_04]: That surely does not go as smoothly as you're making it seem doesn't matter

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_04]: how smoothly you can carry those notes.

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_04]: It is not going to hit.

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so we'll see what happens.

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think both of us are kind of forecasting that Hillary's not going to go through this.

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_01]: It's just there's two episodes left and too much room for just different paths

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_01]: for her to take.

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, runaway bride situation is all the jazz of it.

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_01]: All we know that she's already kissed jazz and we know Ashley knows about that,

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, so layers actually wanted her to confess to him

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_04]: and then she didn't because of the injury.

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, do you think that we're going to get that payoff?

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Do you think she confesses to him?

[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we might see judgey Ashley coming back a little bit.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I am actually typically will pop up around this time in a season

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_01]: and start to be the morality police.

[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Currently, we're dealing with mouthy.

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Ashley is what we're dealing with.

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Ashley, at least these Gen Z kids,

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_01]: they just be talking because Eli, he called Uncle Phil Phil.

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Now you and I have been doing this podcast for three seasons

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_01]: and we rarely call him Phil.

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_01]: There's still uncle Phil does.

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. So Eli who don't know this man was like, hey, feel good to see you.

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I said, oh, okay, Eli got a little too much dip on your chip,

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_01]: but it's okay. A little correction.

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Banks is fine.

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_04]: I prefer Mr. Banks. Right?

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_01]: But then when it gets to Ashley, he's Uncle Phil says,

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_01]: hey, Ashley, you your skirts kind of short.

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you sure you want to be wearing that?

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it makes me uncomfortable when you walk around the house like that

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_01]: and she says, I don't dress for your comfortability

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_01]: and me and Uncle Phil did the exact same reaction.

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_01]: We both looked around because I was like, who is he?

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Who is she talking to? Why would you say that?

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I thought it's these kids, these Gen Z years.

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_04]: They different. We did not have this luxury.

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_04]: If we if I said that, hmm, half my face would not be on the same symmetry.

[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_04]: It'd be like off point. Yeah, be a lot.

[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I was shocked.

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_04]: I was shocked. Oh my God.

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_04]: And then obviously Uncle Phil wins that battle and Uncle Phil voices his concerns to

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_04]: and Vivian's like, I don't like what is going on here?

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I thought, you know, does she interested in this person

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_04]: and and it was like, well, I know like they're just for I'll keep it on the one.

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna be around them all day because Uncle Phil's like,

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, I they're clearly what they do point out on the show is that

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_04]: they're struggling to understand who Ashley might find attractive

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_04]: because they thought Ashley might be into girls.

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_04]: And now Ashley is hanging out with Eli a lot.

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_04]: And you know, we had they were informed that that Eli is non-binary.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_04]: So that I feel like they're trying to wrap their heads around this, you know,

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_04]: the old the old brain of like, how does all this fit?

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_04]: And also I thought you like this. How can you like this?

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_04]: The fluidity is not quite understanding to them.

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_04]: But and Viv's like, I got this. I'm gonna keep an eye on them.

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Don't you worry. You do your own thing.

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it was wrong. She was wrong because she sees it.

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_04]: She was also wrong. Ashley was a lot of people were wrong.

[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people were dead ass wrong.

[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_01]: And Viv sees the chemistry between Eli and Ashley.

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_01]: It goes to say, hey, now I know you keep saying there's nothing between y'all,

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_01]: but just for the record, like y'all ain't got to be all up over each other like that.

[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Like why are you sitting in each other?

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_01]: She's like, no, mom, you're embarrassing me.

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_01]: He has a boyfriend. Stop it.

[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And Viv's kind of like, OK, I guess. But you're right.

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_01]: There's some fluidity going on here because by the end of these two episodes,

[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Eli will admit to Ashley and write Ashley a song about the feelings that Eli has for her.

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And so maybe there's a little bit more to Ashley and Eli than we would have suspected.

[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we had the moment in the lounge chairs by the pool,

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_04]: which you pointed out and Viv was like, you know what's great about today?

[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_04]: There's a lot of lounge chairs where everyone can have their own.

[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe you two don't need to share one.

[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_04]: They both talk about their respective exes at this point and how,

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, she actually was like Olivia kind of like kept trying to get involved,

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_04]: like be like making it seem like there's more drama than there is.

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_04]: And Eli's talking about how Noah kind of checked out when he was going through some stuff

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_04]: and they kind of found each other through their own familial

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_04]: and relationship struggles here.

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like it was a cheeky way for Eli to present that he's into her through song.

[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, it was a it was a better version of what the markets did.

[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was like, OK, at least it was original lyrics.

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, at least it wasn't Jagged Edge.

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, I agree.

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think that, you know, much to my surprise, Ashley was into it,

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, like we've been presented that Ashley might be queer in some way,

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_01]: but we don't really know the extent of it. She's a young girl.

[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not really sitting here trying to speculate about kids sexualities.

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, when Eli does say, I'm kind of feeling you

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_01]: and this song is how I'm putting that into words.

[00:27:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Ashley doesn't look turned off by it.

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_01]: She actually kind of looks like, all right, I can get into this.

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_01]: So Aunt Viv and Uncle Phil, yes, perhaps they should be concerned

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_01]: about who is staying in Ashley's room.

[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, Ashley did point out that they didn't have an issue

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_01]: when it was Olivia because they didn't think it was any any danger to it.

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Anything nefarious could happen, anything maybe too mature could happen.

[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_01]: But now they have to open their eyes and their worldview to say, OK,

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_01]: it doesn't matter who's in the room.

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, you just have to use the same level of parenting across the board

[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_01]: because you don't know what people like or who people like.

[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_01]: So it felt like a learning experience that the banks is still

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_01]: haven't quite gotten to the bottom of yet.

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I think over the next episode or two before the finale,

[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_01]: they're going to have a better grasp on what Ashley is looking for in a potential partner.

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we got to talk about the main couples here.

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, before we get into it, let's talk about Jeffrey,

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_01]: because he got a very short storyline here.

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Him and Penelope are reconnecting and Jeffrey had to lay hands

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_01]: on somebody in the restroom to to make sure they knew who was boss.

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I love this scene.

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Jeffrey does not step down and you do not step up to Jeffrey.

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_04]: That was a very wild interaction where Penelope bumps into this guy at this busy bar

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_04]: and he had a way too much lip and attitude about it.

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I spoke at Jeffrey was like, we got a problem here.

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_04]: But I was like, no, no, no, we don't. We're cool. Everything's cool.

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_04]: And in the bathroom, he hits him with one in the neck and the guy's just out.

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_04]: He just dumped in the toilet gone.

[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Well, he tried to kind of check Jeffrey in the restroom like,

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_01]: hey man, make sure you get your girl in line and all this other stuff.

[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Make sure she save a dance for me. Like, yeah, like what's happening?

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And so Jeffrey, you know, it's so player, you know,

[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_01]: it's the way he turns slowly and just locks the door.

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, all right, cool. He locks them in there.

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And in that mind, and then like in that moment,

[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_01]: if I'm the guy in the restroom, I'm like, oh God, what did I just do?

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm screwed. I'm done here. Right? He's going to pack me up.

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and he does. I mean quickly, just like right to the throat foul.

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And down he goes. Penelope does,

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I think put two and two together about what happened when she sees the guy coming out of the bathroom with a hole in his neck.

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. But again, she looks like she's into it.

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Is there any world where you see these next two episodes lead to maybe Penelope and Jeffrey making,

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, whatever they have going on a little bit more official

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_01]: because there was some sexy dancing going on in this episode.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I that that dancing said all it needed to say.

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you know that they those hips were not lying.

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_04]: They were doing everything. I think this is them rekindling it

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_04]: and I feel like her even offering to stay longer is a sign of that

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_04]: that this is something that can go further than it is right now.

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So do you trust Penelope like you could could you see her being in Jeffrey's life?

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe if we go into season four, do you think Penelope would be back for something like that?

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know. I feel like it all comes down to me.

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_04]: What happens with og Jeffrey because we haven't seen the og Jeffrey storyline.

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_04]: We haven't gotten the update of the answers of where we are with that.

[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_04]: That's kind of where I'm waiting and looking for right now

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_04]: because the whole point of Frederick being here was to keep him close and safe.

[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_04]: But if that deal falls through, then they may not be safe

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_04]: and you might have to send them out all over again.

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_04]: But if it is safe, then you can actually talk about starting a life here together.

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_04]: So I think there's still a little bit of storyline to go there.

[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and we haven't seen Frederick since you know that.

[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_01]: What two episodes ago, so now we can find out, you know,

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I've already said I don't really trust Frederick because I still just can't let go of,

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, the original lore and he's just been moving weird.

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, like the whole street racing thing.

[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_01]: It was a lot of weirdness coming from Frederick.

[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know if we're done with that quite yet.

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_01]: But I would like for Jeffrey to be able to have somebody.

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I just don't know if it's his baby mama.

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's a strange baby mama.

[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I like her. She's nice.

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_01]: She seems cool. She's cool.

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I just don't trust that son. So, you know, there's that's fair.

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I agree. Yeah. So a large part of these two episodes

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_01]: really was focused on what will be the investor meeting for Blackcess.

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_01]: We see that they are in this program with Quentin

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_01]: and he has put them into the place where,

[00:32:33] [SPEAKER_01]: okay, we need to get ready to present our business plans to the investors.

[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Y'all should be working together closely,

[00:32:40] [SPEAKER_01]: but there's going to be some friction with Will and Carlton leading up to that.

[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_01]: There's actually been a little brewing all season just with Carlton

[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_01]: feeling like Will wasn't always tapped in and like and locked in on

[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_01]: what the goal was kind of losing sight of things.

[00:32:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Will feeling like Carlton is not willing to ask for help from Uncle Phil

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_01]: and in him, of course, dealing with his addiction and you know,

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_01]: his relationship, but all of it is going to come to a head in this episode

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_01]: because there's some relationship drama

[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_01]: and everybody has warned Carlton about this maybe fresh out of rehab

[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_01]: is not the right time to get into a serious relationship,

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_01]: but he does he did it anyway. And so Will Carlton Lisa

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_01]: and Amira will have a double date situation at the house,

[00:33:27] [SPEAKER_01]: but it turns into a triple date because they end up with Zaire

[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_01]: here and Jackie showing up as well.

[00:33:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I was like, I thought I had a plus one.

[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_04]: So Jackie got off work same time as me. I was like, why not?

[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_04]: What was it? I thought you had a girlfriend. I fell through anyway.

[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Jackie's here now. So yeah, this was so funny because immediately

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_04]: it seems like on the surface Lisa and Jackie squash all their beef

[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_04]: and we move on my God though Amira likes to sit in some mess

[00:33:56] [SPEAKER_04]: and some drama because things got tense real quick.

[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_01]: She don't know how to mind her own business.

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And I've been saying that since what the street race,

[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_01]: you know when she first got real annoyed at Jackie the first time like why

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_01]: are you here? I was like Amira you just got here.

[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't get to come in charge Jackie up.

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I think she was the one who told Jackie like you need to leave like says

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_01]: who who are you and so yeah Amira's there

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_01]: and she's going to stir the pot a little bit in this episode.

[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Will did not handle this great at all.

[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_01]: The awkwardness from the moment Jackie enters the room is hilarious

[00:34:35] [SPEAKER_01]: because he's like, okay, I've gotten some notes from Lisa.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_01]: So and Jackie so let me apply them Lisa.

[00:34:44] [SPEAKER_01]: This is Jackie. She's my friend. There's nothing to worry about.

[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want her Jackie. This is my girlfriend Lisa.

[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't break us up even if I don't think you want to but still you

[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_01]: couldn't do it if you wanted to as a nobody needs this public announcement.

[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Nobody needed this. This was not necessary.

[00:35:00] [SPEAKER_04]: He's doing the most but he's trying to do it all like out loud

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_04]: so that he gets the brownie points, right? It's all about see I told her to back off

[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_04]: because I've got eyes for only one woman and see I told her you're a very important person in my life

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_04]: because you help out with stuff and you're a good friend of mine.

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_04]: So you should both be happy. But in reality,

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_04]: it just felt like you force them both to be okay with it.

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Yeah, Will is playing the middle and a mirror will later on call him out about

[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_01]: just being in a situation where there is a wrong answer or right answer

[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_01]: and then we'll find himself in a position where he's always trying to make all sides agree,

[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_01]: right? Like well if I can take a little bit of this and a little bit of that

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_01]: then we can compromise and I'll have to make the hard decisions

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_01]: and so a mirror calls him out about that

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_01]: and while Will is pushing back. He's also looking to Carlton

[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_01]: and Lisa for support and neither one of them support him both of them alike.

[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean you do kind of be playing peacemaker a little bit

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_01]: or we do put our feelings to the side to make sure that you are peaceful.

[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_01]: So you don't have to making hard decisions. It seems to be a pattern in Will's life.

[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, which you know in some angles that's not a bad thing having a constant around

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_04]: that can keep the peace and also keep the vibes up distract you from some of the problems

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_04]: that may be there. That's a good person to have in your life,

[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_04]: but on the same at the same time you you cannot have that distraction be permanent like it's

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_04]: like that's a distraction for now,

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_04]: but then we got to talk about the real stuff,

[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_04]: but will definitely doesn't want to talk about the real stuff.

[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like the real stuff kind of scares them a little bit.

[00:36:34] [SPEAKER_04]: So I understand where he's coming from,

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_04]: but I also understand where they're coming from but she probably you know,

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_04]: that's not the most exciting part of the questions

[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_04]: and conversations we had during these this triple date.

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_01]: No because we got to talk about heal or reveal in the hot tub.

[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_01]: So the game is simple Amira says they play this game at rehab

[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_01]: and you can either reveal something that nobody else knows about you

[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_01]: or you can answer a question out of the hat.

[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And so Lisa talks about how since her dad became DA,

[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_01]: she's been super busy and not being able to focus on Nationals

[00:37:10] [SPEAKER_01]: and there's some legit good conversation coming from it.

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Carlton has answered a question about who he lost his virginity to.

[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And this is awkward because I think you

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_01]: and I and in the moment we know it's Lisa.

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I think Lisa and Carlton know, you know,

[00:37:29] [SPEAKER_01]: but I don't think I'm not even know will is for sure that it's Lisa,

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, I think that for we know this but having to say out loud

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_01]: that Carlton lost his virginity to Lisa who's now dating will in front of Zaire,

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Jackie and Amira who don't know any of this drama.

[00:37:48] [SPEAKER_04]: This was a little embarrassing a little I would say especially with Zaire's

[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_04]: like ad-libbing commentary of I could you and your cousins?

[00:37:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't know we got down like this like this right?

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I mean, that's a good point because I don't know sometimes people to be off limits.

[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Like they mess with your cousin. You got the all right.

[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_01]: We gotta let that go especially if it's the first person they ever had sex with you

[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_01]: gonna marry the first person your cousin has sex with that's weird.

[00:38:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, this is a hot topic.

[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_01]: It comes up and it's hard to kind of parse

[00:38:21] [SPEAKER_01]: what's going on here because they're not that old.

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's not even like Carlton and Lisa.

[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_01]: He lost his virginity or you know, 10 12 years ago

[00:38:29] [SPEAKER_01]: and it's ancient history like probably like two years ago at max.

[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And so yes Carlton's had a relationship with Lisa wheels has a relationship

[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_01]: with Lisa and Zaire even as at one point.

[00:38:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Am I the only person who hasn't hooked up with anybody in this pool,

[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_01]: which puts all eyes on Jackie?

[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_04]: No, it would have but then Amira puts all eyes on Jackie Amira was like,

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_04]: well only will and Jackie can answer that one.

[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh and again, we know that will and Jackie have done stuff,

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_01]: but I don't know if Lisa knows that and I don't know if Carlton knows that.

[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah truth bombs being dropped everywhere.

[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_01]: This was so messy, but I think Amira this is like where she thrives.

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh for sure. She kind of thrives in this chaos

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_04]: because she's the new like being the newcomer in a group means

[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_04]: that a lot of people don't know you but also if they want to get to know you,

[00:39:24] [SPEAKER_04]: it's not like they ask you who did you lose your virginity to

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_04]: they're not going to know who it necessarily is.

[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_04]: So for her she can kind of come in as a new person who asks all these questions

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_04]: and then unravels them in front of everybody

[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_04]: and kind of becomes like the truth teller

[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_04]: or the one that keeps it real in the group

[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_04]: and that's kind of where she thrives.

[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like is when she feels like that's how she's in control of her placement

[00:39:50] [SPEAKER_04]: in the grouping and also it's important to know that she came into this group new

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_04]: but still not newer than Zaire and Jackie.

[00:39:59] [SPEAKER_04]: So she kind of feels like hey, this is our group that you're a part of even though it's

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_04]: like really you're also in the same you're just as new as them relax,

[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_01]: right? Technically Jackie was here before you but yeah,

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_01]: the group group, you know, but she was here for you her proximity to Lisa is keeping her in

[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_01]: you know in the group as well.

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So she has Lisa who she's apparently good friends with Carlton who we know she's dating.

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_01]: So she's pretty well insulated in the group,

[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, she's like, all right, I'm not going anywhere.

[00:40:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Comment, but Lisa does stumble across a mirror stash of Coke in her purse.

[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And now we're on to the races because who you might not have noticed this

[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_01]: but it's a very sad day for a mirror.

[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_01]: This is the anniversary of her sister's death again.

[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the other anniversary of her sister's death like not the one that we saw two episodes ago,

[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_01]: but different sister is a different sister somehow sister just keep dropping like flies

[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_01]: and every time I'm back to back with me.

[00:41:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. No, this was a huge reveal moment for us.

[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_04]: The music kind of changed a little bit as she gives this excuse to Lisa

[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_04]: and it worked again Lisa kind of her guard immediately drops down and say,

[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_04]: oh my God, I'm so sorry. Like let me help you.

[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm here for you. She's like actually only you can help you flush it.

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, which I loved and also she was like, are you going to tell Carlton?

[00:41:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, you should tell him you should talk to him

[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_04]: because the thing she kept trying to do was like I am Carlton's person like you can this will hurt Carlton

[00:41:35] [SPEAKER_04]: if you tell him and I was like, I feel like it sounds like it's going to hurt you more than it will.

[00:41:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Carlton is the feeling I'm getting like you don't want to get caught,

[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_04]: but also you don't want Carlton to know in a perfect world that this happened.

[00:41:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and they're going to keep it from Carlton because they don't want to hurt him.

[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_01]: They don't want to send Carlton into another spiral send Carlton back to drugs and alcohol,

[00:41:57] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, so they're trying to they're going to keep this one close to the vest,

[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_01]: but a mirror ain't shit. I don't even know if she has a sister.

[00:42:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think she's ever had a sister as far as I'm concerned.

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, same. Yeah, this is to keep dying because there is no sister.

[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_01]: The sister does not exist. And so it's a good go-to,

[00:42:13] [SPEAKER_01]: but I was really hoping somebody would catch her in that lie.

[00:42:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Instead we have a more darker turn,

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess to this situation because as we suspected she goes off the grid.

[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Carlton can't get her on the phone will tells Carlton what's up or I wasn't Lisa

[00:42:32] [SPEAKER_01]: or will who told Carlton about the conversation.

[00:42:36] [SPEAKER_04]: So, so what happened was right before their big black sass investor plan investor day

[00:42:45] [SPEAKER_04]: will bumps into a mirror outside at the country club

[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_04]: and she's there to wish Carlton a good luck and he's like,

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_04]: maybe you should just let him focus and then she's like,

[00:42:55] [SPEAKER_04]: well, maybe we should ask Carlton what he wants and he does not hold back.

[00:42:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Then he makes it known that hey, Lisa told me I know

[00:43:02] [SPEAKER_04]: and I might tell him to go you threat. Is that a phrase?

[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'd listen. I just want Carlton to be happy.

[00:43:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's focus on this investor day. We'll circle back later.

[00:43:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Whatever. So then ultimately he can't let it go

[00:43:16] [SPEAKER_04]: because what happens is then Amira confronts Lisa at the country club after this

[00:43:23] [SPEAKER_04]: and says I thought you were my friend and what you ratted me to your boyfriend.

[00:43:26] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought you were going to have my back

[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_04]: but it makes sense because you can't even have your own back kind of like lashes out at Lisa.

[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_04]: So then Lisa text will is like what did you say to Amira

[00:43:36] [SPEAKER_04]: and Carlton reads that text and that is how will let's Carlton know

[00:43:43] [SPEAKER_04]: and so their name gets called to go for the investor day pitch

[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_04]: and Carlton kind of freezes in space

[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_04]: and will goes up there and proceeds to make a bit of an ass of himself at this investor day presentation.

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I felt seen in this moment. I'm definitely one of those like if things are going bad,

[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_01]: just have me on the shoulder. I can go and vamp a little bit.

[00:44:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I can I can improv a little bit

[00:44:05] [SPEAKER_01]: and there's there are times where it's going well and you can tell people are enjoying it.

[00:44:09] [SPEAKER_01]: There are also times where you're doing it and people are not feeling it.

[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_01]: They're not picking up what you're putting down.

[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_01]: You can only BS yourself your way through so many things, you know,

[00:44:17] [SPEAKER_01]: and so will tries it, you know, he's talking about Philly.

[00:44:21] [SPEAKER_01]: He's a wrapping throughout this thing.

[00:44:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Like basically just embarrassing himself in front of all these investors

[00:44:26] [SPEAKER_01]: until Carlton snaps out of his little trance comes in and saves the day.

[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_01]: They do their presentation about black says to this day.

[00:44:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I could not tell you what exactly this is.

[00:44:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It just it just comes off like merch. It's a lifestyle.

[00:44:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not just merch. It's merch.

[00:44:41] [SPEAKER_01]: It is just hoodies hoodies and social media followers.

[00:44:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And so they do their presentation,

[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_01]: but we can't even focus on whether or not it was successful whether it went well.

[00:44:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it looks like it was going well,

[00:44:52] [SPEAKER_01]: but we don't really get an answer to that because once they're done crossing is on the lookout for a mirror.

[00:44:57] [SPEAKER_01]: He can't find her. She's not picking up with the phone.

[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_01]: But as you pointed out earlier in the season, he does have her location and she's not far.

[00:45:04] [SPEAKER_04]: She's still at the country club. I feel like with location like that.

[00:45:09] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know. I only know about like Google's one,

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_04]: but it can give you the it'll tell you okay there in this area,

[00:45:17] [SPEAKER_04]: but it's not going to give you the exact GPS coordinates to like,

[00:45:20] [SPEAKER_04]: okay there in this corner of the country club like it would just a country club.

[00:45:24] [SPEAKER_04]: But listen, I'm not going to push that too far.

[00:45:27] [SPEAKER_04]: They find a mirror in a very bad state.

[00:45:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Floating in the in the pool because a mirror has overdosed.

[00:45:38] [SPEAKER_01]: She's now passed out and she is now floating in the pool,

[00:45:42] [SPEAKER_01]: probably near death at this point.

[00:45:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Luckily, we have an Olympic swimmer in Lisa and Carlton who is no slouch at all.

[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_01]: They go in save her and then they end up resuscitating her as well.

[00:45:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So for a second, I thought oh, we might lose a mirror right now, which would be tough.

[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_01]: We only have two episodes left. I can see that happening.

[00:46:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I was actually very surprised that we did not lose her for you.

[00:46:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, when she started when she opened her eyes and started like breathing back again,

[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought okay wow because I thought that that was going to be the cliffhanger part of the episode

[00:46:14] [SPEAKER_04]: where we're like, oh my God what happened?

[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_04]: But they immediately gave us the assurance that at least she woke up.

[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_04]: So what happens next? We don't know.

[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_04]: But I also felt like there's a world where we lose her now.

[00:46:25] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm curious where we go from here.

[00:46:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I think one of the things we can guarantee is that we're going to see Carlton struggle with the idea of falling off the wagon.

[00:46:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that's going to come up with the pain that this is going to cause and most likely

[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_04]: But like I don't know.

[00:46:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Do you think that how soon do you think him and Amira are going to talk?

[00:46:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Because that's the other thing.

[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Do you think that they're immediately going to have a conversation at some point or do you think there's a situation where either she asks for distance or he keeps his distance or his family makes him keep a distance like something?

[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to have to advocate for himself this time.

[00:47:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to have to speak up in this next episode and just be like Amira.

[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_01]: We can't do this.

[00:47:12] [SPEAKER_01]: We cannot do this.

[00:47:13] [SPEAKER_01]: If there was more season left and I would probably say that now you put it off or something like that.

[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll try to push through it.

[00:47:20] [SPEAKER_01]: He'll try to be there for her and her recovery but two episodes left unless she's coming back for season four, which I highly doubt.

[00:47:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I really think that we're about to start saying our goodbyes to Amira.

[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I just really didn't expect for her to survive that interaction because now like you said, we have to figure out what happens now.

[00:47:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Do they break up?

[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And what does that look like?

[00:47:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Is Carlton able to cope with the breakup?

[00:47:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Does he start to feel like he needs to go start going back to meetings?

[00:47:44] [SPEAKER_01]: He that probably wouldn't hurt but as long as he doesn't go and do any drugs or using the alcohol, I think we're on the up and up.

[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you think we have that Carlton will end up backsliding a little bit?

[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like I feel like he'll definitely consider it in some way shape or form for sure.

[00:48:02] [SPEAKER_04]: But I don't know man.

[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like because of how little episodes we have you can't tell me we've built up Carlton going through sobriety for eight episodes only for him to immediately fall back by the end of the season.

[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_04]: You know what?

[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, like I just don't see that happening.

[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_04]: It very well could I say that it very well could it'll all come down to his surroundings.

[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_04]: How are his family going to treat him?

[00:48:28] [SPEAKER_04]: He just got his door back.

[00:48:30] [SPEAKER_04]: He just got, you know, he's got everyone believing in him again.

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_04]: He just did a pitch that seemingly went successful despite it just being merged.

[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_04]: People were eating it up in that room.

[00:48:39] [SPEAKER_04]: So I feel like his whole thing was about proving himself and proving that he is not his weaknesses.

[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_04]: He is his strengths and this is a very traumatic thing that just happened.

[00:48:53] [SPEAKER_04]: It could go either way.

[00:48:54] [SPEAKER_04]: I personally, I'm going to lean to I'm going to give Carlton the benefit of the doubt.

[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to back him.

[00:48:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I think Carlton is not going to do it.

[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we should see two episodes left.

[00:49:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And so there's only so much more storyline you can get out of the two episodes before we go on with it.

[00:49:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Probably another year long hiatus before we get season four.

[00:49:12] [SPEAKER_01]: So they got whatever they're going to do with Carlton.

[00:49:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I think they got to figure it out in the next episode or so because I just don't think this is the same storyline.

[00:49:19] [SPEAKER_01]: We drag into his senior year.

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I feel like senior year the addiction storyline is maybe like it's a like an underlying storyline, you know, like he'll have

[00:49:30] [SPEAKER_01]: bigger fish to fry, but they'll always be laced with the idea that okay, he could backslide at any moment.

[00:49:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think that a mirror would be the like somebody were bringing into season four unless she does die.

[00:49:42] [SPEAKER_01]: If she dies and then I can see Carlton season for being like trying to navigate senior year with all and remain sober trying

[00:49:51] [SPEAKER_01]: to achieve with the demon of you know, the memory of how a mirror died in the back of his mind.

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I can see that for sure.

[00:49:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to see that but I can definitely see the way this darker grittier Bel-Air could paint a situation like that.

[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think that this is like his journey of sobriety.

[00:50:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean the reality is with sobriety.

[00:50:12] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a battle every day.

[00:50:13] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, you're it's it's a day at a time even if you're a hundred days into being clear.

[00:50:20] [SPEAKER_04]: All it takes is one day for it to get reset, right?

[00:50:23] [SPEAKER_04]: So I feel like that's always going to play a part in Carlton's character for the rest of the show's running now anytime Carlton has

[00:50:28] [SPEAKER_04]: any adversity.

[00:50:29] [SPEAKER_04]: They're going to want the audience to think is anything going to happen?

[00:50:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Is he safe?

[00:50:33] [SPEAKER_04]: So I think that's definitely a part of it.

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_04]: I think the other side too is the duality of Carlton has been very fascinating.

[00:50:41] [SPEAKER_04]: He is arguably as much as my favorite character is Jeffrey.

[00:50:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I would argue that Carlton has had the biggest journey on the show with will being in second place Carlton kind of snooty

[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Bel Air Academy student who kind of lets people say and do whatever they want around him not really understanding his background not

[00:51:01] [SPEAKER_04]: really understanding who he is involved in drugs and you know, trying to use drugs as a way to keep this persona of being

[00:51:09] [SPEAKER_04]: perfect pieces family parents everybody only to now completely have everything stripped away from him down to his door and

[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_04]: having to do urine tests for drug use like they really brought him back down to zero and then shaped him back up.

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_04]: So I think he's going to be someone that we're going to see struggle with stuff throughout the however long the show goes but

[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_04]: also we're going to keep seeing him grow which I'm very excited about.

[00:51:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Is it bad that I want a mirror to die?

[00:51:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God, I sound bad when I say it like that, but here we are.

[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_04]: But this is a fake character on a TV show.

[00:51:43] [SPEAKER_04]: So it's not as bad as the way it sounds.

[00:51:46] [SPEAKER_01]: She ain't got a dodge.

[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want her here anymore because I you know, just bad.

[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Break up and separate but like also move away like go away from us get away from my family because there's this one moment

[00:51:58] [SPEAKER_01]: where wills like I'm a talk to Carlton if you don't talk to Carlton and she says well, who do you think he's going to

[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_01]: believe his family that he loves and lives with it spends every day with or a drug addict.

[00:52:08] [SPEAKER_01]: He met three months ago.

[00:52:09] [SPEAKER_01]: You think you think about it and I was like damn she right.

[00:52:12] [SPEAKER_01]: He might believe her and I was like she gotta go at that point.

[00:52:15] [SPEAKER_01]: She gotta go.

[00:52:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, you saw when the night before they were in the house and she was like, oh, I'm up here in your room.

[00:52:24] [SPEAKER_04]: How often have you thought about this every day of my life since I've met you?

[00:52:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm waiting for the chick.

[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_04]: What are you waiting for that?

[00:52:30] [SPEAKER_04]: And he's like, oh, who starts addressing her is like, oh my God, he's down bad.

[00:52:34] [SPEAKER_04]: So definitely that moment was a bit of a power flex.

[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_04]: But then ultimately I think it was kind of like a empty gun, you know, it's like you ran out of bullets.

[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_04]: You threw the gun at will because she immediately like goes to Lisa is like, what did you want you to show me for now?

[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_04]: He's not going to listen to me.

[00:52:55] [SPEAKER_04]: So I feel like that was kind of an empty threat.

[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I think but I think there's potential in wielding the power here in that, you know, coming out of this major near death experience.

[00:53:09] [SPEAKER_04]: That could be something that happens.

[00:53:12] [SPEAKER_04]: But also eventually I got to imagine Lisa and Carlton talk and Lisa goes, yeah, you know, she told me that it was the anniversary of her sister's death.

[00:53:25] [SPEAKER_04]: He's like, yeah, that hasn't come up yet.

[00:53:27] [SPEAKER_04]: So what happens when he finds out that she liked him?

[00:53:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Does that change anything?

[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_01]: She's got to go scram, beat it.

[00:53:32] [SPEAKER_01]: It's let's get her out of here.

[00:53:34] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, so in the in the love interest power rankings.

[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, OK.

[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Erica. Amira Sharif.

[00:53:43] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, rank them.

[00:53:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, OK.

[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Amira's dead last because her.

[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because she's a well, she's not dead yet, but hopefully she, you know, we fix that.

[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, she's last because her being a love interest is detrimental to Carlton's health.

[00:53:59] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, and I don't like that.

[00:54:00] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, he can't get can't fall off the wagon.

[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't like that.

[00:54:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Agreed. And then Erica's second.

[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_01]: No, then Sharif is second.

[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Erica's second.

[00:54:08] [SPEAKER_01]: No, no.

[00:54:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Sharif is second.

[00:54:10] [SPEAKER_01]: He's obviously here for chaos turmoil.

[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Erica has caused financial damage to Uncle Phil has.

[00:54:19] [SPEAKER_04]: If you think about it, Erica's the reason why jazz is in jail.

[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Think about that.

[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Huh? I mean, there's levels to that probably for sure.

[00:54:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. Erica's the reason Will got involved.

[00:54:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Erica's the reason that this community is about to be in shambles.

[00:54:35] [SPEAKER_04]: She is awful.

[00:54:36] [SPEAKER_04]: That is true.

[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_04]: However, counterpoint, have you seen Sharif?

[00:54:40] [SPEAKER_04]: He made dope ass food.

[00:54:42] [SPEAKER_04]: That's his biggest crime is being clinical in the kitchen.

[00:54:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not going to hear this.

[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Lock him up.

[00:54:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Lock him up.

[00:54:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Just nobody.

[00:54:49] [SPEAKER_04]: You don't want him in jail.

[00:54:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I want him in jail for life for life.

[00:54:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Lock him up.

[00:54:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Never let him say you're jealous.

[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I hate him and I'm jealous and I hate him.

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_01]: How about that?

[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_01]: One person we really haven't talked about in the in the whole storyline

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_01]: because the show eased it in into this episode.

[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Very like I think like a very smart like the way they just kind of

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_01]: dropped the Lisa storyline back into the into the episode.

[00:55:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Lisa's stepmom, Angela is not really coping with having this baby,

[00:55:21] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, Leo is now being taken care of primarily by Lisa and her

[00:55:27] [SPEAKER_01]: dad because Angela is not doing well and Viv will go talk to Lisa's

[00:55:32] [SPEAKER_01]: dad the DA about this and he shrugs it off like you're just a hater.

[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_01]: You you always been partial to my ex-wife to Lisa's mom.

[00:55:40] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't like Angela XYZ, but I don't think they give us this if

[00:55:45] [SPEAKER_01]: it doesn't mean anything.

[00:55:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Pooja, what do you think?

[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_01]: We're going with the Angela postpartum depression storyline that

[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_01]: they've now given us in episode seven and eight.

[00:55:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, if I remember correctly, they had that moment with them on

[00:55:58] [SPEAKER_04]: the recap before the episode begins.

[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_04]: They had that moment from like the last season on there.

[00:56:02] [SPEAKER_04]: So I think that this will be a part of it in some capacity because

[00:56:06] [SPEAKER_04]: I think one of the things that the show is really subtly trying to

[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_04]: remind us and show us is that Lisa's trying to keep a lot of things

[00:56:14] [SPEAKER_04]: to float right now.

[00:56:15] [SPEAKER_04]: She's trying to be a good friend to Amira, be a good boy if a girlfriend

[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_04]: to will but also work on her swim stuff but clearly take care of her

[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_04]: her brother that her stepmom isn't really doing so like it's a lot

[00:56:28] [SPEAKER_04]: of things that she's trying to keep a float together at the same

[00:56:30] [SPEAKER_04]: time deal with Jackie, but we're not that we're seeing her keep a

[00:56:35] [SPEAKER_04]: brave face.

[00:56:35] [SPEAKER_04]: But also we're seeing some things go apart and really drain her and

[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_04]: take that energy out of her.

[00:56:40] [SPEAKER_04]: So I think that this storyline will continue in some capacity.

[00:56:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know in what capacity but I definitely think this is either

[00:56:48] [SPEAKER_04]: going to be set up setting up for the next season storyline or we

[00:56:52] [SPEAKER_04]: see some kind of a payoff come soon.

[00:56:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I think Lisa will no longer be swimming.

[00:56:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I think swimming is what's going to take the L here.

[00:57:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's kind of parallel to will trying to balance basketball

[00:57:03] [SPEAKER_01]: with the rest of his life.

[00:57:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that for Lisa, we the first thing we saw from Lisa met one

[00:57:09] [SPEAKER_01]: of the first things that we saw in this entire season was Lisa

[00:57:12] [SPEAKER_01]: saying this summer.

[00:57:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I really want to make nationals and I'm a focus on swimming and

[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_01]: since then we've probably seen her swim once she's gotten into a

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_01]: relationship with will she got a new friend in a mirror that she has

[00:57:23] [SPEAKER_01]: to navigate.

[00:57:23] [SPEAKER_01]: She's got this little brother that she's taking care of.

[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_01]: We know she's working.

[00:57:27] [SPEAKER_01]: She has so much going on and I think that from the beginning they

[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_01]: told us swimming was supposed to be a priority and it just wasn't

[00:57:34] [SPEAKER_01]: so I don't know what that looks like long term, but to me, I don't

[00:57:37] [SPEAKER_01]: see her making nationals with all of this on her plate.

[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and if that does happen and like she doesn't not because

[00:57:44] [SPEAKER_04]: he fumbles national but doesn't get in is that when she does like

[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_04]: a clean break to just focus up on stuff because I mean this

[00:57:52] [SPEAKER_04]: summer in Bel Air is about to be done.

[00:57:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and the fall begins and I feel like the season to end it

[00:57:58] [SPEAKER_04]: with what summer in Bel Air like well once that's over or maybe

[00:58:02] [SPEAKER_04]: we're done too.

[00:58:03] [SPEAKER_04]: So who knows and also not for nothing Jackie's still around and

[00:58:07] [SPEAKER_04]: as much as they've said, oh, that's not a thing part of me feels

[00:58:11] [SPEAKER_04]: like if if will and Lisa end up taking a break then Jackie's right

[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_04]: in there again.

[00:58:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Could you ever see a world where Lisa and Carlton and back together?

[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, because I thought that was going to happen.

[00:58:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Really?

[00:58:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Was it which season was the which fun a season finale?

[00:58:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Was it where will like dipped out and Carlton and Lisa were

[00:58:32] [SPEAKER_04]: together like worried about it was that season water season to

[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_04]: his season one.

[00:58:37] [SPEAKER_04]: I believe yeah at that moment.

[00:58:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought something could happen and I still think there's a

[00:58:42] [SPEAKER_04]: world that something could happen here too.

[00:58:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I'm not fully out on that on those two ending up rekindling

[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_04]: things especially because you know at the time she was kind of

[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_04]: like will Carlton is just being this clingy weirdo.

[00:58:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like Carlton is also we've talked about how he's maturing

[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_04]: and becoming a better person.

[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_04]: So maybe he's becoming a better person someone that Lisa could

[00:59:06] [SPEAKER_04]: see herself dating but also I didn't I disagreed with Zaire.

[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't think it was that weird.

[00:59:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Like obviously it's a coincidence that Lisa and good law your

[00:59:16] [SPEAKER_04]: car was Virginia to Lisa and now she's dating will I don't think

[00:59:19] [SPEAKER_04]: there's a connection there.

[00:59:20] [SPEAKER_04]: I will if she then goes from will to Carlton like that would be

[00:59:24] [SPEAKER_04]: strange at that point y'all can't do this.

[00:59:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so she can't she can go from Carlton the wheel but not from

[00:59:30] [SPEAKER_01]: what Carlton the wheel to will the Carlton backs will wasn't a

[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_04]: part of the picture at the time got now they're both part of

[00:59:36] [SPEAKER_04]: the picture.

[00:59:37] [SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?

[00:59:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:59:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:59:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:59:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I see that.

[00:59:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I just realized that they the show reminded us about the Lisa

[00:59:44] [SPEAKER_01]: and Carlton relationship and we don't get a lot of that, you know,

[00:59:47] [SPEAKER_01]: will and in Carlton they handle the idea that they both shared,

[00:59:51] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, a girlfriend or a love interest.

[00:59:54] [SPEAKER_01]: They handle it pretty well, you know, they go on double dates

[00:59:56] [SPEAKER_01]: together Lisa and Carlton.

[00:59:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean Lisa and will are often making out around Carlton and he

[01:00:01] [SPEAKER_01]: doesn't have any like outward expression of that being annoying.

[01:00:05] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, was I here brings it up like so this was your first time

[01:00:10] [SPEAKER_01]: with her and now she's with him and y'all just y'all just cool with

[01:00:14] [SPEAKER_01]: that cool bit.

[01:00:16] [SPEAKER_01]: That's that seems interesting.

[01:00:17] [SPEAKER_01]: So I think that show brought it up to kind of remind us that

[01:00:20] [SPEAKER_01]: this is not the most normal situation when it comes to these

[01:00:24] [SPEAKER_01]: cousins in their love interest.

[01:00:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so we'll see if it gets any stranger.

[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean things have gotten tense even in this episode.

[01:00:34] [SPEAKER_01]: We saw that Carlton and will they were joined by a special guest

[01:00:38] [SPEAKER_01]: this episode the EST of them all Bianca Belair hashtag

[01:00:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Belair on peacock.

[01:00:45] [SPEAKER_01]: She shows up and I guess it kind of makes sense.

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Her name is Belair.

[01:00:49] [SPEAKER_01]: She needs to be here, but she shows up and teaches a little

[01:00:52] [SPEAKER_01]: some wrestling moves for Carlton and will and once again Carlton,

[01:00:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I just I just don't think we'll got it in them to beat up

[01:01:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Carlton.

[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I think Carlton is always going to best him because Carlton

[01:01:03] [SPEAKER_01]: flipped him like a ragdoll.

[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_04]: It took no effort.

[01:01:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no effort.

[01:01:09] [SPEAKER_04]: He made yeah, he made an easy easy package of them.

[01:01:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm telling you man Carlton got hands.

[01:01:13] [SPEAKER_04]: That's not what the third time we've seen Carlton kind of

[01:01:16] [SPEAKER_04]: flex it a little bit.

[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.

[01:01:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, he's ripped and he will fight and so yeah great

[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_01]: cameo from Bianca Belair.

[01:01:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I was great.

[01:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was good to see her the first woman to ever headline

[01:01:29] [SPEAKER_01]: WrestleMania the EST but she was there to show, you know,

[01:01:34] [SPEAKER_01]: some of the tensions between will and Carlton have been

[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_01]: bubbling up but hopefully we can get all that all together

[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: and under wraps by the time we finish this season because

[01:01:42] [SPEAKER_01]: there are only two more episodes left.

[01:01:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Booyah, we've already made it to the finale.

[01:01:47] [SPEAKER_01]: It seems like we waited so long to get to this point and now

[01:01:50] [SPEAKER_01]: it's about to be over.

[01:01:53] [SPEAKER_04]: I have been loving this season.

[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I've already said this but I would like to reiterate that

[01:01:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I kind of hated the way they delivered the episode to us.

[01:02:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Same same same same same a three three two two release of

[01:02:09] [SPEAKER_04]: four weeks and we're done after waiting for about a year

[01:02:11] [SPEAKER_04]: and a half is not okay.

[01:02:13] [SPEAKER_04]: You should have given us the three episodes.

[01:02:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Let us get into it immediately giving us three episodes.

[01:02:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Cool.

[01:02:18] [SPEAKER_04]: It should have been one a week after that.

[01:02:19] [SPEAKER_04]: We should have kind of savored as much as we could because

[01:02:22] [SPEAKER_04]: now it's going to be done before it even started and I'm

[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_04]: sad about that.

[01:02:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're about to wrap this thing up the ninth or the

[01:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: ninth and 10th episode of already available on Peacock.

[01:02:32] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you're listening to this you can go and listen to the

[01:02:34] [SPEAKER_01]: world watch the finale and we'll try to have our finale

[01:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: coverage for you as soon as possible.

[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, we try to enjoy this savor it do weekly drops for

[01:02:45] [SPEAKER_01]: the people who've been waiting patiently like we have for

[01:02:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Bel Air but Peacock and the powers that be wanted to rush

[01:02:50] [SPEAKER_01]: this out.

[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And so we've almost completed season three just a mere four

[01:02:54] [SPEAKER_01]: weeks in to the release and then we'll be waiting to see

[01:02:59] [SPEAKER_01]: updates on season four.

[01:03:00] [SPEAKER_01]: But until we get those updates and until we get whatever

[01:03:04] [SPEAKER_01]: is coming next.

[01:03:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, where can people find you and what do you have

[01:04:22] [SPEAKER_01]: We have some wrestlers show up for that to former Big Brother

[01:04:24] [SPEAKER_01]: players.

[01:04:25] [SPEAKER_01]: It was a few things overlapping with the hot dog eating

[01:04:40] [SPEAKER_01]: to survive.

[01:04:41] [SPEAKER_01]: It was a wild first season.

[01:05:08] [SPEAKER_01]: strong opinions about and a great time talking about it was
