[00:00:50] Hey, wassup fam? Welcome back again to Recap Kickback presents Charm School Kickback live here on RecapKickback.com. It's me your host Chappell and back again to talk to you about another episode of Charm School. Charm School Episode 5, Big Stink at Charm School for those who are following along and with me per usual on this journey, her first journey through Charm School. It's Chantel Francis. Chantel welcome back.
[00:01:15] I'm obviously very happy to be here. And what's crazy is that like the weeks feel so long, but like between watching and talking about these episodes, I was like, is it Sunday yet? Like I feel like it's been so long since I've talked about the show. And obviously like it's my highlight of the week. I'm anticipating it so much. So of course I am extremely happy to be here because I love these girls and I love the show.
[00:01:41] Right. And I'm happy to have you here as my co-host and co-pilot for these things. And I'm also happy that we do this live. Chantel, this was your brilliant idea months ago. I think we were talking about Pop the Balloon. You said, oh, well, we should do them live. You do a lot of podcasting live. How did that idea come to fruition or like how did that pop into your head that we should be talking about Flavor of Love live?
[00:02:04] I don't even know. I think I probably just said maybe we just talked about it briefly and I was like, you know, I've never seen that show. I probably I think I just probably said like we should take me through the journey because I'm like, I haven't seen any of it. I think you heard me maybe say that, but like you didn't really understand that I actually really have not seen these shows. And so I think then you decided that like, yeah, let's just do it and let's do it on your channel.
[00:02:33] Yeah, it's the live component that really excites me, though. I think I think Chantel that like you've done it so many times. This is literally the first time I've ever hosted a podcast live. I mean, you know, and so it's been fun to kind of get to know that. I think I co-hosted with Sasha when we talked about Below Deck on RHAP, but I've never been able to do something like this consistently. Okay. So much fun. This is definitely your idea.
[00:02:56] Okay. Live component is out of pure laziness because as much as like I want to construct an amazing video and have edits and different views and angles. If I go live, A, I get to interact with people in the audience. So like that's also fun to have that interaction. And it's kind of like it's like our podcast. It's our show. It's our conversation. But also it uploads it directly onto YouTube and I don't have to do it a second action.
[00:03:26] So it kind of saves me a little bit of time as well. So that's why. Honestly, brilliant because I have too been enjoying not having to upload anything to YouTube and just knowing that it's done. It is done. And so big shout out to those people who are watching us in the chat. Typically, I try to tweet out the link to the live episode earlier so people can plan to be here. But life has been lifing.
[00:03:50] I have been working two jobs consistently and it is a lot of hours that I do not have time to do certain things like post the link or get the thumbnail made and all this other stuff. So thank you all for the people who can pop in live when we pop up unannounced. I will try to get that out to you more often so that you can get here and plan your Sunday school outing with us in advance.
[00:04:13] And then, of course, you can always watch us and the recorded video on YouTube or Twitch if you're joining for Twitch as well. So that said, again, big shout out to the chat and all the people who are also watching along with us. We have started to provide the episodes, you know, in the show notes. And so if you check our show notes, there is a link there that should take you to episode five. A big stink at charm school. Now, Chantel is not spoiled.
[00:04:42] So if you are tempted to go and spoil yourself or to rewatch these moments, I don't need you running back here to the comments and telling us what's coming because I don't want Chantel to see anything. I haven't even been looking because I got scolded the last time I was. Get out of the comments. Yeah, I saw her in there. Yeah. So, yeah. So let's get into it because we do have a lot to talk about.
[00:05:09] Also, oh, before we start, for all the people who have given us feedback, comments, emails, anything of the nature, we definitely appreciate it because so many people want to weigh in. This is one of those classic shows that so many people have watched and feel connected to. And I believe it was Christian Taylor who had messaged us saying, like, I got all the tea on certain aspects of charm school. And so, yeah, we love tea. Send us everything. Send us all the things and we'll make sure it happens.
[00:05:39] Okay. All that out of the way. What did you think about this episode of charm school? I loved it. Yeah. What I love, I love a challenge, right? I talk about it all the time. I went to, like, a performing arts school and there was always activities and challenges that we needed to do, whether it was, like, incorporating our art class with our dance class or, like, creating costumes for our mime class. Like, you know, there was always interactions and creating different things and using your creative juices.
[00:06:07] So, I love the fact that they have a full-fledged, like, competition where they had to create a product and they had to do the marketing behind it and, like, create the smell. Like, I thought it was a really fun, completely well-rounded activity that these girls had to do. And I thought it was also a very entertaining episode to go along with it. So, mwah. Yeah. Yeah. I totally agree. I also love watching people do challenges. Not my thing.
[00:06:37] I'm not a guy who does some challenges. Chantel, you and I have a dude. I think we've done escape rooms together. We've seen how useful I am. Love an escape room. You're part of the vibes. I'm a loyal soldier. Are you the Courtney of the escape room? Yeah, I guess so. Yeah, I think so. I think I am. I think I'm a loyal soldier. If you tell me what to go do, I will do it. But if you expect me to have any autonomy and do it myself, it's like, I don't have to win this. Like, my life is fine. I don't really ever feel the initiative to compete.
[00:07:07] Unless someone tells me what to do. Now, do I want to win? Of course. But the drive to actually get active, it's hard for me to harness that energy, you know? No, I don't know. Because I am not like that. I need to finish it, get it done, figure out how to solve it. Like, I love a puzzle. I love executing. And I love it being the best.
[00:07:31] Like, it's just a combination of, like, just getting the best projects and doing the best at it. Like, I kind of, I kind of, that's what I vibe with. See, my issue is that the stress of completing the thing and getting it done is not worth the amount of fun that I'm going to get from the accomplishment of it, right? So, for me, it's like... You don't know that! But see, that's the thing. I could easily find something more entertaining right this second.
[00:08:00] So, I'll never have to explore that. So, what happens is, if you tell me, okay, the competition is to make perfume and then sell it on the street. I'm like, okay, cool. And then the moment I start to get bored, I'm like, ooh, what's that over there? And then I'm just going and I'm thinking about something else. I've got a side mission. King of the side mission I am. And so, yeah. So, I just, I'm not easily entertained by... You need to harness all of that Aries fiery energy. Oh, no. And to taking action.
[00:08:30] No, I could take action at other stuff. Just other stuff. Just other stuff. Just not this. You know, it's like, I love to do stuff. I just don't want to do this thing that everybody else wants me to do right now. Because they seem to have a lot of pressure about wanting this done. And I don't want no part of that. Right. Okay. So, you don't like the pressure part of it. Is there a particular activity that they could have been having these girls do that you could lock in and execute and be there through to the end? Like, can you think of something? Yeah. Drinking. I like shots. Shots!
[00:09:00] I like shots. Yeah. So, what if you sell your own liquor? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that's cool. And like, I'm more like the taster. Like, can I be the tester? Well, that would be your role. Being like, come on. Come over here. Let's try this. I'm like, oh, buy the bottle. If you need... Okay. Boom. I think Courtney's not a great example of who I am in these situations. I think I'm Becky. I think I'm Becky. You are buck wild! I think so. I think it's time to get buck wild.
[00:09:25] Chantel, I think I'm the person who's like, hey, everybody, gather around for something that has nothing to do with this. And then while I have their attention, y'all can do the mission. Okay? Come take pictures with me. Let's have a great time. Now, somebody sell them perfume so we can win. Oh, my God. You know what? I think you are right. You are buck wild! ThunderCats agrees. Yeah, I think that's what it is. Because I want to participate. I just don't want any of the added pressure of actually having to make a sale.
[00:09:54] Selling things is not my strong suit. Wow. I think that I've had an epiphany here. Now, for the rest of the season, I'm going to be transposing you into buck wild. Everything that she does, I'm going to be thinking, this is Chappelle. Chappelle is her. She is he. They are one. Yeah, I got to get a fedora because I'll never forget. That was her business casual look or whatever, that dress to impress challenge. Okay.
[00:10:23] So, as we've already alluded to, this challenge is all about selling perfume, but also selling a brand. I think the commandment that they have is, thou shalt mine thy money. And it's very clear that they're going to have to sell some shit, as Dara will say, or Dara will say. Now, they learned this lesson about being a fabulous woman who knows how to make their own money. Monique says it's very important.
[00:10:48] And a lot of women have custom fragrances like J-Lo or Britney Spears. Have you ever worn a custom fragrance? Probably as a child. Or like... Ooh, who would you have worn as a child? Well, no, actually, maybe not, actually. Because I feel like that started kind of when I was about maybe 19 or 20. But I remember wearing like exclamation. I don't know if you had that in the stores.
[00:11:15] It looks like it's like a white ball and it has like an extra exclamation mark kind of thing on the bottle. That was kind of cool at the time. I used to buy my mom every Christmas White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor. We talked about that. Every mom's favorite fragrance in 99. I remember so many bottles of that.
[00:11:44] I don't specifically remember buying a Paris Hilton Presents or like any of the recent ones. Like no J-Lo perfume, no Beyonce perfume if she has. I don't think so. You? No, no. I'm not afraid. Well, not perfume. But maybe like, I don't know. Does like Jay-Z have a perfume? Like, I don't know. Does Jay-Z have a cologne? Let me see. I don't even know. Let's see.
[00:12:12] I feel like Ja Rule might have a perfume or a cologne. I don't know. Male celebrity. Yeah. Male celebrity. Colognes. Let's see. I don't know. See, so for one, as people know, I have really bad allergies. And so, like doing the whole, I need to smell like something that, that's just not for me. I'm seeing a few people have, looks like maybe Snoop Dogg has a cologne. Wonder what that smells like.
[00:12:43] Weed! And P.U.S.S.Y. That was a... Oh, wow. Very specific. Well, you were at that time, you know, he was doing all of his like, you know, like, like sex romp videos. And so, I think it would smell like weed and P.U.S.S.Y. Well, you know, Erykah Badu, a famous R&B artist, I know you're familiar with her.
[00:13:10] She had a scent profile that was very similar, I guess you could say. Oh! She said she's, she released a viral limited edition line of intimate incense called Bad Pussy on her online storefront. Oh, okay. I mean, I guess I'm onto something. Maybe I smelled it when I was younger. Maybe. And, yeah, one of which is a fragrance that smells like her vagina.
[00:13:39] That was her marketing strategy as per this Carplex, Complex article. Do you think that that would have been the winning angle for one of the two losing teams? I think that, I think it's worth a shot. I think it's worth a shot. Who would be the spokesperson of the other two teams that would best sell it? Would it be Buck Wilde?
[00:14:05] I mean, I mean, Buck Wilde is very much, she's very much a marketer, I guess, in these moments. But I don't know if that would draw me. But, you know, we will find out in this episode that sex indeed does sell. So, yeah, possible. What up, Tim? It's in the chat getting banned as we speak. And Fonzo says, Bella Hadid's perfume gave me a sinus infection last year. So, dear God.
[00:14:35] So, yeah, sometimes we have to check some of these fragrances, especially the ones that we have in this episode. So, because by the end of this, it doesn't sound like any of them were any good. But let's talk about it. So, they have to sit down for a business class with this woman, Sarah Horowitz. And she tells them that they need to focus on what the customer wants and how they want the customer to feel. So, Brooke says Larissa smells like a rotten orange. So, she thinks she will struggle with this woman.
[00:15:03] Now, Brooke and Shay and Larissa, it's kind of like this two-on-one battle right now between the three of them. Because Larissa and Shay, they start off the episode shaming Brooke for kissing the men at the bar in the last episode. And every time we get a confessional from one of the two of them, they're all, I mean, one of the three of them, they're always talking shit about the other one. And I like this. You know, we love conflict. You like the conflict. Okay. We love, this is drama for reality TV's sake.
[00:15:31] And although it's personal, it still doesn't feel gross yet. You know, like we haven't spat on anybody. Without them asking for it. Right. I mean, they have dragged race into this a little bit. But that will get stomped out by the end of the episode. What do you think about this feud between the three of them?
[00:15:51] I mean, I think regardless of whether or not they could easily squash the beef, they, I think they've learned already that the drama creates ratings that got them called back onto this show. And I think that they're learning that having some sort of conflicts makes them be first and foreground, forefront into the storyline. And it gets them called back for another season.
[00:16:20] So as much as they think they could easily put this to rest, I'm sure. Like it hasn't been that egregious. There are arguments that they've been having. I think that they know that it's a story engine and that it also provides them entertainment and maybe a callback. So I'm fine with it. It's probably in their subconscious at the very least. You know, I still think this is the early days of reality TV, especially for these women where it does feel like none of them are putting on an act.
[00:16:47] You know, I think that they are all being at their purest form still. Yeah. But I think they do have an idea that like, if the beef stays, this is better for TV. Well, that and they know that these big personalities that they have made them popular. You know, like forget the ratings. They know that they're on this show because of the fights that they've had and the things that they say about each other in confessional.
[00:17:09] So even if they weren't looking to get more popular or callback, they at least know that people like what the energy they were giving. And so it's kind of like the producer, like, no, say meaner things, say meaner things. It's OK. Say meaner things. It's fine. This is what they come in to see you, Brooke. They're coming to see Pumpkin. They're coming to see you, Shay, Bucky, Larissa. You know, they're trying to see you show us who you are. And it would be crazy for them to all pull back all of a sudden.
[00:17:36] Well, no, I mean, I know that they're at charm school, but like they can't be reformed so easily. You know what I mean? Because like it has to be it has to be a little bit more challenging. And I also think as much as I'm not the biggest fan of Brooke, her conflict with Tiffany, like, I think really helped Tiffany Pollard also escalate. Like, I don't know if the spit didn't happen.
[00:18:04] If New York would have like evolved as as big. Like, I don't know. I don't we're not sure. But like that moment was etched and her response and all that. Like it just put a spotlight on her, even though it was Pumpkin that was doing the spitting. So maybe they're also thinking that maybe having some altercation with Pumpkin might get some shine on them the way that I think that that New York got some shine.
[00:18:31] I think that's a great, a great idea right there. I think you're totally right. By now, this is the fourth iteration of Flavor of Love, essentially. And yeah, they've seen what happened. Right. They saw that they were on one season. New York came back, you know, to be on the season that they were on because she was such a big personality because she wasn't afraid to fight with people because she didn't hold that back. She then got her own show. And now here they are on Charm School. And so they're probably thinking, yeah, VH1 isn't done with these personalities and wants to bring people back.
[00:19:00] Who knows? You know, Bucky of Love could be coming soon. Or Shane and Larissa find love, double shot at love. Right. Double shot at love. Yeah. The Amazing Race. You know, again, the possibilities are out there. You have to tell me if they actually are on Amazing Race. Did I tell you that I'm currently watching the Amazing Race for the first time? Like from the beginning? Yeah. Yeah, I finished season one already. And so now I'm on to season two. It's so pure and innocent, you know? But it's so good. It is still good. It's still good. Yeah.
[00:19:31] Even though you don't really like challenges? It's heavily based on challenges. Okay. I don't want to do them. I will break you one of these days. You're going to do a challenge, okay? That sounds terrifying. I want you to win a million dollars. Is that so bad? Let me do the lottery. You know? I play the lottery. I mean, I don't play it often because I do not like to throw my money into the wind like that. But yeah, there's got to be a better way.
[00:19:59] I don't know if I told you this, but a couple weeks ago I was working on set. And someone from the crew told me that a previous crew member from the show that they were working on before played the 50-50 at the baseball. Baseball or a hockey game? One of the two. And it was $66 million was the pot. And he took home over $30 million. He got the phone call while he was on set. And he said, sorry guys, I gotta go.
[00:20:29] And he bounced. So you got to play to win. And it does happen. Good point. Good point. So this challenge is to create a fragrance and sell it in Hollywood. They sit through this business class. Buck Wild, a.k.a. Becky says, I think college is a scam. I think it's a scam to take away your money. And the business class is clearly going over a lot of the women's heads. They start talking about math and numbers and projections. And they all look like they're kind of being spun around in circles. But this challenge.
[00:20:59] It was so pizza. They're not asking her much. She's like, I agree. You know how Lailene was struggling with the etiquette challenge? It's like they're all struggling with this challenge the same exact way. They're like, excuse me? What do you mean? Like they only made it look all blurry. But it was a very simple equation. Yeah. Not hard. No. Cost times three.
[00:21:29] Cost times three. And they're like, what the hell is cost? So the challenge is to create this fragrance. And the team that has the best selling scent will be immune. And so Monique and the judges have gone in and selected three team captains. Shea, Larissa, and Brooke. What did you think about these three as our choices for team captains? I think that they did it for top drama.
[00:21:57] Because we know that Bucky or that Shea and Larissa are besties. And that they both hate pumpkins. So no matter what, one of the two of them are going to likely lose. Right? No matter what. And they could very well lose against their rival. And so I think that this was the selection for maximum drama potential. Oh, they nailed it. I think this is perfect. Perfect. I think the only other way this could have been more drama is maybe you put these three people
[00:22:27] on the same team. Because then you know they'll just fight the whole time. But maybe at that point, Pumpkin's like being double teamed and it's not actually as bad as it would be. You know, if it's too much, then maybe she retracts herself. But this puts them all against each other. Monique will say that the reason why she split these people up like this was because Larissa and Shea cannot be on the same team. They are codependent on each other.
[00:22:55] And so making them compete against each other is better. And then, of course, Brooke needs to step up to do something. Because currently, she's been kind of like playing the backseat to some of the other bigger personalities. I thought this was so cool. I do wish, though, that maybe all the girls had an opportunity to apply for this position. Because with who ended up going home, I feel like they didn't really get a fighting chance
[00:23:22] necessarily to step up if she wanted to. Maybe the role that she played wasn't going to be the best suited for her. I understand they were doing it for maximum drama. So I get their choice. But I'm kind of saddened by who ended up going home this episode. And then also, I was thinking that if they had all three of them on the same team, then they would likely have to send one of them home. I don't think that they intended on any of them going home no matter what.
[00:23:52] Ooh, OK. Yeah. So let's track that as we talk about the episode. So they decide that they have to not only be the CEOs of these teams, but they also have to pick their other two team members. And they're going to do that through an interview process. Shay wants to win. So she plans on selecting the best people for the product. Someone who can make it, sell it, and market it.
[00:24:18] And so when they go in to do these interviews, this is so cool to me. I like this a lot because it does put them at the forefront, but for no real reason. And so it's like, OK, all the rest of the women have to now show how they could be assets to the team, despite these women already kind of having an idea for who they want. Shay tells us immediately she wants Buck Wilde. I love that Buck Wilde is like a hot commodity.
[00:24:43] Now, not going to lie, when she turns on Becky, like Becky's good. Rebecca Johnston. Rebecca, Rebecca Johnston. And she's like, she actually knows how to do well in a lot of these things. She knew, like we'll see later, that her being Buck Wilde was going to be a really good asset for them to bring in people to potentially buy the product.
[00:25:10] So I love that Buck Wilde is getting so much, you know, esteem. People are wanting to work with her so badly. I would never have, at the beginning of the season, I'd never think that she'd be first draft all the time. Right, right. I really wish we had done a stock watch since season two of Flavor of Love and just tracked your approval rating of Buck Wilde because it's been so volatile.
[00:25:38] Kyle, the stock's been crashing and up and down. Oh my God, is this like, are we building upon something else here? Like, can we start getting a stock watch going for all the players that have come in? Okay, let's talk about it. Let's talk about that right now because I do like this idea. So in the past, we have done tier lists. Yeah. We've also done Winter Picks. I don't think we did a tier list for Flavor of Love season one. We did something else.
[00:26:07] What did we do? I think you maybe just asked me at the end of the season, you asked me about names of what names I thought were real or not real. Right, right. But I think if we are to get an all new cast for any situation, whatever the thing may be, I think that a little line graph or something like that to just show the approval ratings of these people as they turn, go up, go down or whatever. How would we have to rate that?
[00:26:36] So every episode we'd have to give a number to those people? Yeah. Yeah. I'd probably make you do rankings. So not like you. So you couldn't, you know, go middle of the ground for everybody. Right. Like five. Yeah. I could make you rank the people. And then that way. So no matter what, you're ranking them like one to 13 or whatever, one to 11, one to 12, whatever. Okay. No matter what, even if they're out of the game, I want to know. Cause I can think, cause what if somebody else is just plummeted?
[00:27:06] They're below that person now, you know, I want to know. So the charms, cool stock watch might be a thing. Yes, Michael. Yeah. Oh, that's horn hub in the chat. Yeah. The, the charm, cool stock watch might have to be a thing because I really do appreciate that these are flawed characters and a lot of them are awful, but I don't hate them all the time. You know, they do things that I annoy. Right. And, and these are the same people that we kind of grew to, I mean, like let's, I mean,
[00:27:34] let's look at pumpkin, for example, we're not the biggest pumpkin fans, but the show is not the same without her. She's has to be here. She's not going anywhere. We're not going to. Pumpkins here till the end. Drag her to the final three at the very least. A hundred percent. You gotta have the drama. So maybe for whatever the next iteration of this is, if we get a whole new cast of somebody, maybe we just like do a thing.
[00:28:00] But I wonder is maybe the chat can tell us, is there like, um, a plug and play type stock watch, you know, format that we could just use and just put in information and it will keep all that for us. Oh yeah. I mean, I could probably ask chat GBT, but maybe somebody in the chat will know specifically because like, that'd be awesome if you just put the names in and then just put approval ratings each week and just see how it goes. Like, I kind of like this.
[00:28:30] I kind of love this. Yeah. Are we going to be buying like stocks to these people? Like, yeah. Yeah. I think, I don't know if we got to buy any stocks or maybe you can, right? Maybe you can buy some stock and then by the end of it, we'll determine like if your winner is the person that you bought the most stock in, you know, or something. I don't know. Um, so yeah, uh, the chat's giving out some examples. Listen, put it in the comments so that we can, uh, explore these things because we got a few episodes before we have to get to, to that.
[00:28:56] But to your point, yeah, to your point, these, these girls are showing up, uh, as far as Becky's concerned, she's a hot commodity. They, she does her interview and they ask her, have you ever sold anything? She's like, I've sold weed. And I was like, and you're like, my girl, my brethren. Again, again, I did say that I think I am the Becky of the, of the episode for sure. When it comes to these challenges. Who am I? Am I the, the hottie? You have to be. Somebody has to be hottie here.
[00:29:26] I don't know what that makes Matt Scott, but somebody has to be hottie. No. I feel like Matt Scott would want to be hottie. Yeah. But I don't think he gives that hottie energy. You know, he's, he's a star, but not like that. Um, I don't know. Maybe he's crystal. Uh, I got a couple more strays for crystal later on. Oh my God. She was on this episode. No, but I got a couple of strays for her just in general. Cause I have some things to say. Was she out? Yeah. Yeah. Crystal got eliminated last episode.
[00:29:55] I didn't see her once. Okay. Yeah. You're like, oh my God. She somehow managed to not make this episode about her. So Shay immediately says she wants Becky because Becky is very popular and, uh, is even more popular than Shay. She says people are drawn to her like on the street. I'm sure, you know, they were on a season together. So they've probably seen the response that Buck Wild has gotten as opposed to, you know, the response that she got. So she knew who, uh, who she had her eyes on.
[00:30:23] Uh, they interviewed Courtney who was a comedian and says she was once fired for giving away fast food. My energy. Maybe I'm Courtney Buck Wild. It depends on the day. And then, yeah, I've never gotten fired from for giving away fast food, but I would. If I worked at a fast food restaurant, I'd definitely get fired, uh, for giving away food. And then Shay also says she wants Shatar on her team because despite not trusting her, she knows she could talk herself into anything.
[00:30:50] And we get classic hottie because she's like, yes, you should hire me because I am very driven and I enjoy high sales and high profit margins. I said, there she is. That's the girl that was standing in front of Flavor Flays, mom. And being like, you know, um, just able to sell herself. How did it get a lot of attention in this episode? I think she was being normal. She was being normal and everybody else was kind of being a little bit more outside the box, you know, like, like they're, they're garnering more attention.
[00:31:20] Um, like, I don't know what hottie could have done to maybe stand out more. Like maybe she's like, I'm going to make a chicken in front of you. Like, I don't know. Look, if she wants to win, maybe standing out isn't what she should be doing. Maybe she should have just been trying to be like an active member of the winning team. Hmm. Or at least like participate. So people like, you know who that, who she is. Cause like, she's like, Buckwild is so like out there that people will remember her more
[00:31:48] likely, just more likely than like the average person than hottie. So yeah, I'm surprised though, that she didn't really, uh, stand out a little bit more. Cause she does seem to like attention. So shocking. Uh, Safari tries to demonstrate her selling ability and the three captains are very confused. Cause she just starts rambling and just, I don't know. She's trying to sell a pin, but she's lying about what the pin means. And she's making stuff up, which we'll go to show you what their strategy is later on.
[00:32:17] As Safari is going to tell everybody that they're giving a hundred percent of their proceeds from this challenge to breast cancer research. Like if you're trying to make money, I get doing that. And maybe they didn't think that the judges would actually deduct the money that you said that you would give to charity, I guess. And so they're just like trying to like lie to the people for a buck. But I don't know. I probably wouldn't try to take money away from the sales just because just to say something to maybe get the sale.
[00:32:48] So. Right, right, right, right. So we'll see more of her tactics later on. Dara says that she knows field sales, advertising and selling different things. You can tell she's had probably a few jobs working in sales, but they're just so bored by her rambling on. I think Shay literally asked her like, if I pick you for my team, are you going to talk like this? Are you going to act like this? And then we have Layleen who comes in and Larissa E-Media is like, I don't want Layleen on my team. And Layleen even asked a question back.
[00:33:16] She's like, Hey, what do your company stand for? Are you going to act for each of you? And of course, Larissa hates this too. I think it's an excellent question. Whenever I'm interviewing for a job. Hey, I'm not going to, I'm not letting you pick me. I'm deciding if you're the right, we're the right fit for each other. Okay. Like if I'm looking for an agent, it's not like, Oh my God, pick me. I want you to be like, no, no, no, no, no. I want to know if we're going to be able to work well together. I'm also interviewing you. So I actually appreciated this from Layleen. Yeah. Yeah. I did too.
[00:33:46] I thought this was a great interview question. Is Matt Scott actually something like what Tim says? Oh my God. I do think it's a missed opportunity that, that something wasn't on here. That's what we were talking about last week. I told you, I think something, we were robbed of something, but maybe there's a charm school season two coming up. That, or maybe she's going to come on a later season. Maybe it's something early in the episode, maybe something different. Potentially. I do think we were robbed of that. I don't know if Matt Scott is giving something energy either though.
[00:34:15] I don't see him doing that at all. We'll come up with something. Is Matt Scott crazy? Crazy? Mary had a little help. I'd still say no, but like, I wouldn't mind him giving me a little ditty. Oh yeah. He could, he could definitely give you a little ditty. So the Layleen hates this.
[00:34:43] I mean, ask this, I thought a cool question, but obviously she's asking this in enemy territory because none of these girls actually like her. And oh, it was Larissa says, I'm the CEO. And Layleen started thinking that she's the CEO and fall back, bitch. This is not your shit. So very early on, not great for Layleen, but we have another cool moment. And I actually have the clip for this.
[00:35:11] So at some point the girls have done all the interviewing that they need to do, but they need to choose their teams. And pumpkin just gets railroaded here. They were wrong. I mean, they didn't establish the parameters on how they're going to choose these people. So when people, when they just like snatched their photos and be like, that's mine. Sorry. You should pick faster.
[00:35:36] Like it was a little bit unfair, but also like pumpkin be faster. You know what I mean? There's both. There's both. I probably would have been like, okay, I'm taking that one. Yeah. Right. If something hadn't been established already. So. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Well, let's take a look at the clip and see what pumpkin, what happens to pumpkin. And then I'll explain it to all the listeners who are not watching the video version here. Well, ladies, it's time to pick who we want on our teams. I will start with Chantele. I want her.
[00:36:06] I want Courtney for sure. I want her too. Yeah. Why did she take Courtney? Well, I think they both said we want her. And I think she was waiting on them to like decide who could then have her. And we see. The first one though that she picked, like, I can't remember who it was. I think it was Larissa. Maybe she's like, I want her. And then she picked it up. And then you see, um, pumpkins press, uh, press Courtney.
[00:36:35] And she's like, I want her, but she didn't pick it up. She just tapped her. And then I think Shay picked her up or vice versa. You know? Yeah. Larissa goes and picks her up right after she says like, I want Courtney. She's like, well, I do too. And then Larissa is just like, all right, well, I'm taking it. So, um, not, not the fastest. Let's continue. I don't want her. I don't want her. Mm-mm. Who do you want the most? I got one. I want the most out of the three. No. Out of everybody. Courtney.
[00:37:02] Well, you have two strong people and you have the three weak people out there. All right. So once pumpkin outlines that, um, yeah, it would be crazy for her to, to get Courtney as well. Like, you know, you can't have all the strong people. Like at least let me have Courtney. If I'm gonna be stuck with these other people. Um, Larissa sees what pumpkin is trying to do. And so she just goes ahead and snatches up Safari as well.
[00:37:30] Leaving Layleen and Dara as the last two options here. Uh, so yeah, pumpkin. And she is outmaneuvered. But then when she tries to defend herself, they completely gaslight her. Like, well, I mean, why didn't you just grab them if you wanted? She's like, we were trying to decide how we were going to pick. I mean, I shall tell typically on any game show that we've ever watched, there's like a alternating. You pick one. I pick one. Schoolyard pick snake draft.
[00:37:57] Even they just grabbed them and we're like, all right, so now what you're going to do? And for a second, I thought she was going to be able to stand up for herself and actually get something done. Uh, she does not. They win. They do win. It is two against one. Um, she got outplayed. They didn't establish parameters beforehand and she couldn't go up against both of them. So unfortunately she, she lost. Like it sucks, but she, she just didn't do well at that. Grabbing her people. Yeah.
[00:38:27] She should have been more strategic about it. Right. She, I don't even know if having the headshots actually makes those your team or if these were just like, now they're just like symbolically the thing. Like if pumpkin walks into the room and says, my people are Courtney. Right. Right. I choose Courtney and you know, and Layleen or whatever the case may be. What could they actually do? All they can do is yell and fight, you know, or like, that's not true. And you're like, what do you mean? They're like, well, we have our pictures. It's like, okay.
[00:38:56] Oh, and like, what does that mean? You know? I don't know. That as well. Yeah. Or, you know, since they always running back and telling on somebody, this would look good a perfect time to get Monique involved, you know, to be like, Hey, how do we mediate this? How do we figure this out? They're just taking it and then we didn't get to discuss it. Right. But, and then maybe at that point, somebody says, okay, you all just alternate, draw straws, blah, blah, blah. She let them punk her. Punking. She got punked. Punking got punked. She did. She really did.
[00:39:26] Um, yes. Chris in the chat saying, please consider reacting charm school girls at the reality TV awards in 2007. Once this season is over, Chris has given us a couple of good suggestions for after the season. So we have the reality TV awards and we have the Tyra Banks show now on our list of things to react to. Right. And the pre-show. And we have to do the pre-show. Yeah. We got some things to do. Um, reality TV, reality awards in 2007. Was that on MTV or VH1? No, I think it might've been on the reality TV channel.
[00:39:56] Oh, okay. So I definitely didn't see that. Yeah. That was a thing. I think Fox had a like reality TV channel. Okay. Well, I'm in, I'm here for the long haul. Yes. We're going to keep pushing. This is going to be so much fun. So yes. Um, they casually pick up these photos leaving, uh, Layleen and Dara as the last two.
[00:40:19] Um, so once they get into the rules to announce who their teams are, um, I think it is Larissa who goes first. She says, I choose Safari and Courtney. She said, um, I think Shay then goes and chooses Shatar and her sister Becky, because she is humorous and popular and we are going to win. And I said, your sister. See, this is the problem. This is the problem. So now she didn't win. She didn't went through Buckwild to sister sister.
[00:40:48] Like Becky is now a sister. A sister. You know, at the finale, you when, uh, of flavor of love season two, there's a moment where they're asking Buckwild, you know, what happened to your accent? Are you really like this? And she's going every other, every one of the women in the crowd knows me and they know that I'm just like this all the time. And Shay was one of the people nodding along. So I think, uh, they underreported how close Shay and Buckwild actually are. Are they besties? Oh my goodness. Yeah.
[00:41:17] They're like roommates in real life. Oh my gosh. Hmm. We, we shall see. Uh, maybe I have more information about that later on. Um, so, uh, Shay, uh, picks, uh, like I said, Shatar because she knows she will do anything to win. And, uh, Becky, of course, very popular and funny. Uh, and then pumpkin goes up there and I thought this was very diplomatic of her saying I chose Dara because she's older and more educated and she will handle herself well.
[00:41:44] And I chose Layleen because she's sexy and she could use her assets to get what she wants. I thought for these two women to be stuck with you basically, or you to be stuck with them. This is a great way of doing this without making any enemies and also being respectful of your competitors. I thought this was cool of pumpkin. I thought it was cool of pumpkin. I thought that she was making lemonade out of lemons. Um, I thought that she was actually recognized that they do have some strength, even though
[00:42:10] it wasn't her first choice necessarily that they, that they are people that she would be able to work with and, and pull out something from. So I thought it was definitely very diplomatic, but not everybody did. No, Larissa calls her out. Nope. She didn't want you. That's not what she was saying in the other room. And Brooke, instead of trying to argue and be like, no, I did want you. She goes, all right, let's keep it real. Nobody wanted you, but you're sexy in that sales. And you know what? They weren't offended. No, Lena understood.
[00:42:40] They were offended anyways, but yeah, she was like, I get it. Yeah. You're like, look, you ain't gotta like me, but you are stuck with me. And so we have to make it work. Um, the, the women start asking about a smell that brings you back to a time that like, and resets like a memory in your brain. I think the teacher said honeysuckle is something that she already thinks about when she thinks about like these smells that are indicative of the past. And Safari says gasoline. What's, what's happening? What happened to Safari?
[00:43:09] You know, like arson as a child, like what's, what's going on? Right. Right. The smell of gasoline is very, you know, I think it's one of those smells that is very, uh, like noticeable. It's something that once you've smelled it, once you kind of get it. Um, so maybe there's something there, but I don't know. I do like the smell to me. Oh, you're not a smell guy. I told you allergies. My nose doesn't really cooperate with like fragrance. Right. Right. Well, like, okay.
[00:43:35] So gasoline, like maybe it's like, she has a memory of being with a parent and going to the gas station and smelling that smell. Like maybe if her parents would stay separated and she's with one parent and she just remembers like going to a particular gas station, it smells like gasoline. So like maybe it's bringing her back to a childhood memory of some sort. Um, so like, that's a smell that I actually do like, um, I don't want to smell like it, but I like it like kind of like a permanent marker smells good, but I don't necessarily
[00:44:04] want to smell like it. But so you have no, so you never wear anything aromatic. Got it. No, I don't wear anything aromatic. Um, and this is karma. No, Oh God. No. Uh, this is karma too. When I was in high school, I had a teacher who I was not a big fan of. He used to complain about how like, Oh, these artificial smells. They, they make my nose. Da, da, da, da. And, um, I used to make fun of this man so much. Like, uh, he was not my favorite teacher. And yeah. And now years later, I'm like, Oh, these artificial smells. Oh my God.
[00:44:34] So yeah. Uh, karma came back to get me. You'd be like, you didn't make fun of people or it's just going to come back to you. Allergies. When you do clownery, you know, that's what they say. So, uh, Courtney was just hoping their fragrance didn't smell like chicken head juice, but then we get the deliberations of the other groups, Dara Lailene and Brooke come up with the name of their fragrance. They call it flavor of love. When it comes to love, what's your flavor? What'd you think about that? Excellent. Excellent. Great. 10 out of 10. No notes.
[00:45:04] Like no notes. Like actually very, very, very good. Um, also they even mentioned it. There are different backgrounds and Asian woman, black woman and, and pumpkin, a white woman. Um, and so like, it was kind of remind me of like the colors of Benetton and like, you know, when, when showing diversity very explicitly was quite popular and in, in, on vogue.
[00:45:29] So I thought it was a great way to incorporate their beginnings where they are right now into an idea of a scent. I thought it was top shelf. Shay's team says, uh, I think that their fragrance is called icon. And Shatara says it might smell a little bit like bug spray, but you know, we're still going to win. And when they get back to the house, they have to start working, working on their marketing and display and design to use on the bottles.
[00:45:57] Uh, Safari's team, or I guess Larissa's team is called La Sacor, which is the three, uh, the beginnings of each of their names. I guess it's a portmanteau. Exactly. Um, as much as like, it's a cute idea, um, unless it spells something specific, I think it's not great if people don't know who you are. Right. Like, like maybe after the fact, people be like, Oh my God, I gotta get that perfume
[00:46:26] because they know who it's by and what it actually represents. But I think it's a little bit harder to get people on board at this stage where they are in, uh, like on the show. I totally agree. I think that the name is clever because it sounds like, like it could be a perfume like, Oh, did you have your heard, have you smelled La Sacor? You know, or something like that. Right. Like maybe, Oh, is this French? You know, but I think that it doesn't capitalize on the one thing that we know about them, the flavor of love.
[00:46:55] They're going, first of all, this is charm school. Nobody knows these people's real names that we thought Safari's name was a nickname. Okay. Like, like if you, if you name this boots, uh, you know, boots, Safari and, and, uh, Goldie, I think people on that just alone, just off of name recognition would be more attracted to it. But La Sacor, they're like, who are these people? Exactly. Exactly. Uh, Michael wants to know if we should name our fragrance, uh, Shan Pell.
[00:47:23] It's actually pronounced, uh, Chappelle, Chantel, and then Chappelle, you know, so Chappelle. Chappelle. Chappelle. Introducing to Chappelle. Chappelle. Yeah, it's Chappelle. Um, okay. That's fine. Chappelle. Chappelle. Chappelle. I love Chappelle. I don't think, I don't think no one's going to buy our fragrance. Uh, so. Gold boot Safari. Oh my God. Yeah. Gold boot Safari. Yeah.
[00:47:53] Gold. Not shampoo. Okay. So what's your flavor? That team decides to, uh, to go with the idea that sex sells. I think for the moment, Pumpkin got her eyes on, uh, Layleen as a teammate. She realized what she needed to do. This is why I want to whack Crystal one time. Here's why. Because if Crystal was here, Crystal would be like, no, I don't need to use my beauty to do this. I'm a model. I don't need to show off that I'm a model.
[00:48:18] I need to be in the background being like, girl, no, this is the, we have been saying use what you got. When you're asking you to, when you're asking you to, it would be crazy for Layleen to be like, well, I don't want people to think I'm a stripper. So I'm not going to show off my body. I'm not going to do anything. Right. She knows exactly what her strengths are and they utilize them so great. Now, of course the other girls are hating.
[00:48:46] And I think Shay, who says that Brooke's team looks like a bunch of whores and that Layleen looks like her cleavage or basketballs or coconut. She says this looks really bad, but this is just hating because Layleen knows that this is what she should do to win the game. And it's, it's going to pay off a lot in this challenge. Absolutely.
[00:49:08] And every single ad campaign that there's ever been for perfume or cologne has always showed the body. It's always been in intimate positions. It's always been quite alluring and sexy. They were just making a campaign that was similar to what they've seen in real life. And the other girls are just sad that they didn't think of it, which I don't understand why, but yeah, think about it.
[00:49:36] No, I agree that they were just, they were just mad. They didn't get to it first. I think they, they even stripped down and kind of show off their skin and write what's your flavor on your skin. I loved it for their campaign and in the white lettering. I was like, good. It was good. It was good. So, um, the next day they have to bottle the perfume and they're trying to come up. I think it's Sapphira is trying to come up with like a funnel situation. They eventually end up making it over to Hollywood and Highland. I feel like you've been here a billion times. I've been to Hollywood and Highland. Yes.
[00:50:07] Yeah. What's your experience been like over there? Um, okay. So I stayed at the Highland gardens, uh, when I, when I stayed near there, um, it's a little bit more up on the Hill and we went to this, like, it was a long time ago. So it was before 2007. Um, and we went to this like party and like, um, Jessica Simpson was there and like, there's like all these like young, super young pop stars were there.
[00:50:32] And Jessica Simpson is like tea miniature, like teeny tiny, like five feet tall, kind of tiny, but like so small, but she was there and there, I can't remember now who else was there, but there's some other like up and coming pop stars that were there. I think I'd heard that Britney Spears has just, I'd just left. She hadn't been there. Um, so yes. So I've been to that area. I believe there was used to be a knitting factory that was there, which is like, was
[00:50:57] like a, like a hall or like a place where like musicians did play at Highland and Highland and what? Hollywood and Highland. Hollywood and Highland. Yeah. Highland. Yeah. I think there used to be a knitting factory there. Yeah. That's how you get to the, to the, the Hollywood walk of fame or whatever. Whatever is the, the, the stars and stuff like that. Um, I don't remember specifically, but I believe cause they extend quite far. I think Hollywood and Highland might be a little of the dustier ones.
[00:51:27] It's not like in the exact top, but like, yeah, you're on the other end of the street. Okay. Got you. Okay. So yeah, I, I, you know, I'm not well as well traveled as you Chantel. Uh, so Hollywood is not something I know well. I don't know it that well. Cause it's like my dad didn't live in Hollywood, but we, I visited and I've gone there myself before a couple of times. Okay. So, uh, when they get to the challenge, Brooke has one singular motivation and it is to take down Larissa.
[00:51:57] She's so sick of boots at this point. She wants her to go home. They have two hours. And immediately Larissa's team is nowhere to be found. Turns out Safari and Courtney went on a pee break while the rest of the people were like 25 minutes. Yeah. They were gone for a while. I'm sure they had to find a restroom out there that didn't look like trash because you know, when there's a lot of tourists around, people don't always take care of the amenities. And so I'm sure they were looking high and low for something to, uh, somewhere to use the restroom.
[00:52:27] Layleen. This is when she decides to use her body. I think it's Adam in the chat said something great about them nagging, uh, or nagging on her just, uh, using her body. Then her using it to win the challenge. Exactly. She takes off, uh, you know, her sweatpants and she's wearing like a dress, like a black dress. It wasn't, she wasn't wearing the one that we show where it's basically like split in half all the way down. So she chose one that looked like you're selling something that's not, you know, a little more demure. Right. A little bit more demure. Right.
[00:52:57] Right. Exactly. And so, and then she immediately gets to work. She's spraying the perfume on her chest, uh, because her skin is exposed right there and letting people smell it. And all the attention starts coming in. You can hear almost like the cash register. It sounds like hottie's blinking. Oh my God. She's like blinking over there in jealousy. Oh yeah. Cause hottie honestly should have been doing this too. Um, you know. Um, yeah, has the assets and she did not utilize them. What was the other team's perfume name?
[00:53:26] Which, uh, which one the Buck wild team? I, yeah, I guess. Yeah. Um, that was icon. Oh yeah. Okay. Do you remember that? It's an okay name actually. It's fine. It's fine, but it's not, it's not the flavor of love. So, um, Buck wild is doing great as we thought she would. Um, because everybody knows her. She is one of the more recognizable people on the street. When you walk past this cast of people, um, you know, like I'm sure people do remember,
[00:53:52] um, hottie, you know, but you're not going to get the same reaction of when you see buck wild, like it's buck wild. Or that people are going to probably ask her about her accent. And there's probably so many questions, but the craziest part of all of this is when this man recognizes pumpkin on the street and says, I will buy some perfume from you, but you have to promise to spit on me. I would spit on him. Yeah. You got to, I would a hundred percent spit on him. You got to do it. Some people like their kinks. You know what I mean?
[00:54:22] Mm. Mm. And I remember asking for it when I was younger. Oh my gosh. Just, you're learning too much about me. I didn't do no spitting, but I remember like, I don't know how I get into these conversations, but it usually be when I'm a little tipsy and guys would threaten me to like punch me in the face. And I was like, I will do it. Don't say like, punch me, punch me. Like I will punch you. And so like, I don't know how we get on it, but like an end of like giving like a nice,
[00:54:52] you know, and some like drunk kid's face to see if I can give a good smack. So, I mean, I, I would have kissed them or spit on them. See, nobody asked you to kiss. Nobody. I might kiss. I might kiss. When they were, when they were shaming pumpkin or Brooke for, for being at the bar, kissing random men the night before. I was like, I want to, yeah, I was like, I was like, Chantel's a bar kisser. Yeah. It would have been me.
[00:55:19] I would, I would have been with, with pumpkin. Having a good time. Right. Just a little kiss. Just a little peck. Ain't nothing crazy. Exactly. Nothing like a little, um, a kissing bandit session. It's fun. And, and pumpkin does make the customer happy, which was one of the things that they were taught that, you know, when selling things, you have to think about how the customer would feel. And this customer clearly wanted to be able to tell the story that pumpkin from flavor of love spit on them.
[00:55:47] So, um, at some point, uh, they finished the challenge and they're going to find out later on who wins once they tally up all the money. Uh, and Larissa starts going after Layleen being a stripper. She says, you, you're, you are the whore. I knew you were. Um, and Layleen says she's had it up to here with her, but again, she can tell they're just jealous. The after everybody comes down with the announcement about who won. Shay is confident that it's her, um, Lassa core. They're first up.
[00:56:16] Keith, uh, is very intrigued that they were willing to donate the money. Uh, they asked Larissa, how much of the money are you going to donate? And she's like, uh, yeah. Um, 10% or something like that. Uh, and, uh, no, she says a dollar. I'm sorry. A dollar from each of the proceeds. Uh, and we get a flashback to Safari lying to people out on the strip saying, no, we're giving a hundred percent of the proceeds.
[00:56:44] So they ended up taking Larissa's word for it as she is the CEO and ended up donating 75 of those dollars to breast cancer, bringing their total to $165. Did they actually give the money to this charity? That's what I want to know. The $75 didn't go to charity. Who did it go to? Probably not. It probably, who did any of this money go to? Do you think the girls got to keep it? No. Yeah. So the money went somewhere. No. I don't know.
[00:57:14] I feel like if you're going to deduct, I think you have to deduct the money because these people, like the goal was not to go out here to a lot of people, right. And try to get breast cancer donations. Like if you're going to tell somebody you donate the money, you have to donate the money. I agree. So they must have donated it. You have to donate the money at that point. Maybe they donated all of it in the end. I hope they did. It wasn't that much money anyway, but I hope that they did at least donate the money. Yeah. Team Icon also promised to give away an amount, but they didn't specify.
[00:57:44] And Shea very wisely says 5%. And so they end up with $318 after their deduction. I think it was $335 originally. And then of course we have our winners here. Flavor of Love. They made no promises about donating to charity. And they ended up with $463. And so they won the entire challenge. Look at Leigh Lien go. Look at Leigh Lien. Your girl. Your girl is coming up in this world.
[00:58:13] She is knowing how to use her assets for good. And yeah, I'm proud of her because I was worried about her not being selected, being so worried about like times three. You know, but she realizes how to use what she has to get a win. And I appreciate that. So I'm proud of her. Yeah. So Becky says they must have been selling some pussy on the side.
[00:58:39] And Sapphira says they just did what they do best. They sell titties and ass. And now they're adding perfume to the wholesale market. That's a good line. There you go. Like they did it well. All of it was good. And a lot of those ideas were Dara's idea as well. I'd like to mention. And Dara was like the person that most people didn't want to have on their team. She was a pimp. Um, she must have pimp. She said it. It was good. It was her word.
[00:59:08] She said, people are accusing me of pimping these girls out. Hey, listen, by any means necessary. Thundercats wholesale market. That's what she said. Wholesale market. That's a good line. It's a good line. It's a good line. So now we also find out that the winners of the, I mean, the losers of the challenge, their two CEOs will go down to the carpet automatically.
[00:59:36] So we're only looking for one other person to join Larissa and Shay on the carpet in front of Monique. And Larissa hates this. She's mad at everybody. She's sick of Brooke specifically. And she goes down to this little phone booth that they have to talk to her man on the phone. And while she's in mid-conversation, her phone magically disconnects. She's like, what happened? And then she sees Brooke coming down the stairs, smiling.
[01:00:01] And that is enough for her to then accuse Brooke of unplugging the phone and basically starting an altercation with her. Now, Chantel, you've seen the fight. You've seen both sides. Brooke says, I walked downstairs and this girl started to come at me. I did not unplug the phone. I'm not smart enough to do that. It sounds like it would be a good move, honestly, but I didn't think of it. But what do you think? Do you think this was Brooke? No, I don't think it was Brooke.
[01:00:28] Because as much as Brooke likes to get into people's faces, she does seemingly admit when she's done something. And she immediately was like, I actually didn't do this. She's like, I'm not smart enough to think about doing this. And so she wasn't willing to claim that. She's still willing to engage in the argument. So I think that whatever happened, maybe her partner or boyfriend hung up by accident or she thought it was hung up and it actually wasn't.
[01:00:57] And then she hung up. I think it might have been a misunderstanding that she automatically blamed on Pumpkin because of timing and circumstance. But I actually believe Pumpkin here. She did not do anything. Crazy enough, I do as well. And it's mostly because, like you said, Pumpkin has no reason to act like she didn't do this. Of course, she does in Larissa's face. But when she gets in confessional, Pumpkin has not ever lied about her interactions with these other girls. She knows what we see.
[01:01:25] And she's been very proud about the things that she's been able to do and stir up. I think she's kind of like, oh man, I wish that I had. That would have been a great moment. Yeah. I think she gets it. So I too don't agree. And also, I think that Larissa just be looking for a reason to be mad. That's possibly true too. Like nothing might have happened. And she might have just been like, yeah, Pumpkin, she hung. And like nothing happened whatsoever, maybe even. I believe that more than I believe that Pumpkin did something. Yeah.
[01:01:55] And so there's some words exchanged. Again, Larissa is, she don't back down. So she is letting Pumpkin know. But Pumpkin is just standing there smiling, hoping that Larissa will be dumb enough to hit her or something like that. So she can go home anyway. Larissa ends up and going to hook the phone back up and says, uh-huh. Wow. It's crazy that this happened. And so she decides that she's going to go and talk to Monique because she says, I want to know if I'm going home. Because if I'm not, I'm going to fuck her up. Oh, well. I mean, she's great. But like she's such a little mess.
[01:02:25] You know, she's just had so many talking to's by Monique. Monique giving her kind of second chances and third chances. And like, I don't know, sometimes going to speak to Monique is like the kiss of death here. And so like, was she just trying to lose her 50 racks or whatever? Like, come on, Larissa, just so you can beat up Miss Pumpkin. Yeah. She said, eliminate me so I can whoop her ass. And so she asked Monique about it. Monique's like, I don't know if you're getting eliminated tonight. And she tells her side of the story. Pumpkin did this.
[01:02:55] I know she did. She unplugged the phone, blah, blah, blah. Because she wants me to snap. She wants my temper to go off because she knows I'm trying to work on that. And that's going to get me eliminated. Or I'm a hitter. So Monique says, okay, well, let's bring in Brooke and get her side of the story. Brooke comes in. She tells Monique, I don't know why she started to come at me crazy. Like, I did anything. But then she called me a white bitch. And I'm trying to figure out why I got to be a white bitch. Why I can't just be a bitch. And I was like, well, fair question. Fair question. Fair question.
[01:03:24] I think that Larissa was like, damn. She got me. She's like, mmm. Like, because she probably, she got outplayed by Pumpkin at her own game, basically. You know? She did. Yeah, she did. It's like, Larissa early on says, I don't like Pumpkin because I think Pumpkin spitting on New York was racist. Now, yes. Now, in this moment, Monique is like, huh, you called her a white bitch. You know that's racist, right?
[01:03:54] And now, you're right. Larissa's like, damn. Now, how did that happen? How did this Una reverse get hit? I'm coming at her because she's racist in my mind. And now, all of a sudden, I'm the racist. So, Monique makes them both apologize. And yes, Exuda Man says in the chat, Brooke, I'm sorry for calling you a white bitch because it was wrong. That's a good apology. Yeah, it was okay. It didn't see. Did she say I'm sorry or I apologize for?
[01:04:24] I'm sorry for calling you a white bitch because it was wrong. She didn't fully sound apologetic. And I don't think that Pumpkin bought it. But in front of Monique, she pretended like she bought it. Yeah. Why I gotta be white? It sounds like a question better than ask. I think it's in the show Community. There's a moment where Chevy Chase's character is trying to, I think his name is Pierce. He's trying to get Donald Glover's character to look away. It's like a distraction.
[01:04:53] And he goes, hey, look, a foxy black woman is over there. And he's like, why she gotta be black? Like, I mean. Like, first of all, for Donald Glover, she don't have to be. But also, like, yeah, you can. Why didn't you say there's a beautiful woman? Also, why does she have to be foxy? Who says foxy? You know? So, very interesting. Yeah, Pumpkin also apologizes. But she says, like, I apologize for letting you get me out to acting like that.
[01:05:20] And I also thought that was a decent apology because from Pumpkin's point of view, she ain't do nothing. Yeah, she didn't do nothing. She got pulled into this office all because of Larissa and her accusations. And so, Pumpkin kind of came out on top here, I thought. Yeah, I think so as well. And it's, you know, probably already relatively easy for that to happen, considering it's looked at like Monique doesn't love Larissa too much, you know? So, Larissa was already coming in at a deficit.
[01:05:50] Well, I think she doesn't love her because she reminds her so much of herself, right? Ooh, young Monique. Because we saw that last week that she was like doing the whole like, we're rooting for you. Like, you know, tough love type things. Like, I see myself in you. And so, I think that she's probably going to give Larissa quite a few chances for this reason. Mm-hmm. So, Larissa and Shay end up on the carpet.
[01:06:19] And Larissa's already told us she better not get eliminated. Or Pumpkin better hope she better not get eliminated because she's going to beat her ass in front of the judges in that case. And I was like, damn, maybe Larissa should go. Not to say that I want her out, but I want to see, you know, this is all talk right now. Would you really start to try to beat her ass in front of the judges? She would never. It's the threat. I don't know. It's the threat. Maybe.
[01:06:44] Well, or like, I think she'd wait to see what her producers were telling her to do and egging her on to do. Because I'm sure they would encourage and be like, might as well. Like, if you're going home, it's time. Like, or whatever they say to her. So, I think that she will know ahead of time if that's the route that she should be taking. They asked Larissa who should come down on the carpet with her because her team was obviously the worst team. And she says, Courtney.
[01:07:10] Because she was the slowest and she didn't put as much effort into it as Safiree and Larissa did. And so, Courtney is not surprised. She says, Safiree is Larissa's friend. And so, she had to pick somebody. So, I figured it was going to be me. And Becky says, Courtney has just been riding in the middle. She's a neutral bitch. And I think Goldie didn't need Charm School to begin with. Like, I love Goldie as a character. And so, I'm happy to see her on any season.
[01:07:38] But if you have to rank Goldie's worst moments next to everybody else's worst moments that got them on Charm School. Season one, episode one. Like, long time ago. And all she did was get drunk and throw up. You know, she didn't fight anybody. Didn't spit on anybody. I mean, she got drunk and threw up. Who among us? Exactly. I mean, I never thought that she needed Charm School.
[01:08:02] But I do think if you're trying to get a well-rounded cast, not everybody could be completely volatile and, like, messy in that way. You guys need to balance. So, I'm happy that she was invited back on because it was nice to see her again. I kind of think it was a little bit unfair that she went home this episode just because, yes, she may have done the worst.
[01:08:28] But, like, I feel like the team captain should have taken more responsibility for it, you know? Yeah, I agree. A.O. Kennedy in the chat says, Nibbles could have been on instead of Courtney and that would have made Chantel's day. I think so. I think Nibbles something. No, I would have rather something. Nibbles. But not over Courtney. I think I would have rathered it over, like, what's her name that just went home last week? Over Crystal? Well, I don't know.
[01:08:58] No, I don't. So, I liked Crystal on Flavor of Love, but I liked Crystal more on Charm School. I do like her more on Charm School. She was the bad guy for three episodes. Who else did I not necessarily care for? Oh, you could switch out Jennifer. Yeah, maybe Toasty was the one. She did not bring anything. Toasty didn't bring anything. She didn't bring anything. Like, not, not any. She's already reformed from her, like, porn days. So, like. Right. And she wasn't drinking as much.
[01:09:28] So, yeah, maybe Toasty. But I do think it's between Toasty and Goldie. Yeah, sadly. But I think you have to bring back Goldie because she was such a fan favorite. We would have been like, where is Goldie if she wasn't here? But I think, yeah. Charm School wise. I think, yeah. You bring in Nibbles and you got yourself some action. Right? Nibbles. Like. Okay. So, would Nibbles have, like, been the model? Like, she would have. Yes. And, like, I think that also Crystal might have, like, oh, like, we know you can't. I'm going to be.
[01:09:58] Like, I think that more model types might make her want to compete in that way a little bit more, too. Imagine Nibbles on that Hollywood strip trying to sell that perfume. Oh, she. She. Bring in Nibbles. Bring in Nibbles. Bring in Nibbles. Adam Armadillo in the chat says, could have kept crazy at home. I disagree. I disagree. She pisses everybody off so much.
[01:10:28] You get the best sound bites because crazy is in the room. Fine. No. Crazy stays. She stays. Crazy 3D when you get married. Little lamb. Like, she would have been singing selling that perfume for sure. Oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah. You should be selling. You get my CD along with the perfume. Two for one special. Yes. I did take a peek, though, at the stars that were in that area. So, I'm completely wrong in my memory. Oh, okay.
[01:10:57] Hollywood and Highland did have the Knitting Factory. So, that was truthful. But the stars that were there in that area was like Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Harrison Ford, Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, Jay Leno, and in 2024, Batman. Yeah, that's the place to be. That's the place to be. Hollywood and Highlands mean right now. Good to know.
[01:11:21] So, in this elimination, Shay is basically told, your team lost and so you're down here, but you weren't the worst. You're fine. It does look like Monique really wants to eliminate Larissa. Like, all the common sense in the world is saying Larissa's time is up. All she does is fight and argue. And she, you know, she went off on Monique last episode, but she was safe and I couldn't get to her. So, now you would think it's time for her to send her home.
[01:11:47] But she says her heart wants to give Larissa another chance to stay and learn from this because Larissa needs charm school and Goldie does not. Goldie does not. And I was, like, Goldie was pretty shocked that she was going home because she didn't do anything that terrible. Yes, when is Tiffany getting her star on the Walk of Fame? Yeah, where is New York's star? It needs to be there. So, does it say Tiffany Pollard or does it say New York? I'd have New York in quotes.
[01:12:17] Yeah, I'd have all of it. Yeah, Tiffany New York Pollard. Yeah, you got to do the whole thing. Yeah. Yeah, but I think, like, Courtney was shocked and I was kind of shocked. I understand keeping Larissa in the game just because that conflict between the three of them is a bit of, like, the story engine right now. It's just seeing them compete against each other and the dislike they have for each other. So, whether it's the friends having to go against each other or both of them going against Pumpkin, I think that that still needs to stick around.
[01:12:46] Because, like, if we break that up, how much drama is really left on the show, right? Not much. Not much. This has to stay. She says, Courtney, stop playing here. You are keeping a bed warm. Let the lady who really needs it get it. She says she wished she could have gotten a check and she'll have to just find a way to get some more money some other way. And Monique tells her that she would love to take Goldie on the road with her to make her the best comedian she can be.
[01:13:15] So, Goldie gets invited to go on tour with Monique. That is way better than, like, 50 grand. Like, I mean, I'd take both. But if I'm going to go early for the sake of the show and, like, keeping, like, the drama on the show, I would be thrilled to be going on tour with Monique. Because that actually just catapults you into the next level of, like, stardom.
[01:13:41] You know, like, she's going to be, become friends with Monique legitimately. And, like, having her audience see her and going on tour with her, like, that means she'll get it if she doesn't have one already, a manager. She'll probably get an agent. Like, she, I think it's a built-in success. And so I think that that's a great, great consolation prize. Yes. And I have some information about that tour if you want it.
[01:14:10] So let me play a video for you that I've queued up. Let's see. You know, I try to bring some visual aids here to the podcast. But, yeah, this is an interview I saw with Goldie on YouTube. So let's go ahead and watch that. Good and the bad thing about that little scrumage moment. Because you want to list of people like Oprah Winfrey. Hold on. It's on 2X. I know. I was like, oh, I'm like, 2X. It's fine. Lee Daniels.
[01:14:40] Tyler Perry. And, yeah, yeah. You on that list of people who got into a little squirmish with Monique. Yeah, yeah. And Courtney Jackson. You in that list. Right. I mean. Did Monique ever, like, come in and talk to you? She called me. She called you? Oh, she called me. What did she say? She absolutely did. She called me. She said, she said, what did you say in Atlanta? And I was just like, and I'm really not even thinking.
[01:15:09] Like, I'm like, Atlanta? I said, well, we was just in Atlanta. And then I did. She said, no, what did you say at the club? And I go, oh. Yeah, well, I mean. I got the high-pitched voice. And I'm thinking like, well, you know what I mean? I was doing some material about charm school. And I did a joke about you. And then she was like, what was the joke? And it really wasn't even a joke. I was really just jonesing. And you know what I mean? And just saying some stuff.
[01:15:37] And then she was just like, well, comedians don't talk about other comedians on stage. And, you know, that's not what we do. And I was just like, okay, okay. But it wasn't nothing malicious. I wasn't trying to come for you for real. I'm just trying to figure out some funny on stage type thing. Yeah. But she really took it personal. And I just, you know, it really broke my heart. Because I didn't want that to have happened with somebody like a Monique.
[01:16:05] Like, no, my bad. And she didn't like try to coach you through that? Or she was just like, she was like, don't talk about me on stage. It was that. It was like that. Yeah. Because, you know, she was just like, I don't feel comfortable with you anymore. I was like, what do you mean? What do you mean comfortable? What do you mean? Was she touring with you? No, that was kind of on the table. Like, that was being discussed. Like, she was going to take me on the road or whatever and do some dates. But we never did.
[01:16:35] We never did any dates or nothing like that. Because of the Atlanta situation. I don't think that it was just because of that. I just think it may have been a you're not ready kind of thing. You know. She used it as a excuse. I don't know. I don't know. All right. That's towering. Yeah. So, the story here is that Goldie was in Atlanta doing some crowd work or talking about Flavor of Love on stage or whatever the case may be.
[01:17:01] And she made some jokes about the cast, the girls that she knows. You know, obviously, everybody was talking about it at the time. And she mentioned something about Monique. She said she was just, you know, making fun of the show in general. Not so much talking about Monique in any, like, malicious way. But it got back to Monique. Monique made the call. And so, Goldie never got her tour. That's a bad look. Don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it. I hate it. Hate it. Boo. Boo.
[01:17:29] I think she was hating on Goldie. I think so. Goldie is, like, young and, like, excited. Like, you know, she has, like, everybody's, like, excited to see her on stage or whatever. And she was probably just trying to find a reason not to have her potentially steal some of her star, her light, you know? And so, that's a bad look. Yeah, we hate it here. Jealousy is never good. What that? And I just feel like Monique had such a good moment with Goldie at the end. Because Goldie is the fan favorite.
[01:17:58] So, Monique being like, no, listen to me, fan favorite. I have something for you. And then only to, like, renege on it, it just feels like, all right, did you ever intend on it? Or was it just because it was Goldie and you knew that it would look really good if you did something like that? I hate it so much because I love Goldie. And I would love to see what Goldie would have looked like if she had a push from Monique. Shout out to the Tap In podcast where I found that clip. Tap In Clips is where it was found. It was posted two years ago.
[01:18:27] So, I think Goldie's still talking about the show or at least she was two years ago. I mean, well, like, it's definitely a big part of her life. I would probably still be talking about it 20 years later, too. So, yeah, it makes sense to me. If, like, people would be like, so, like, what happened? Like, asking that question. Like, maybe it's never been asked before. Right. It's such a good question. It is such a good question because, you know. I asked it. And so, yeah, maybe Goldie does do other things. We'll have to talk about that later on.
[01:18:56] But that was the end of this episode. Monique leaves us with telling everybody that that perfume smelled. It stunk to the high heavens. And it smelled like roach spray and rain. And it's still all over our hands and things. Make sure y'all clean that shit up because it did not smell good. So, yeah. We lost Goldie. But we're on to our next episode of Charm School. Boo, boo, boo, boo. We did it. Woo, woo, woo. What is it called? Yeah. Let's see. Charm School episode.
[01:19:24] So, next up, we have to talk about this cast. Mine is Goldie. So, I'm very sad about that. But it is called Give and Take. And so, I remember this episode. And I am very excited to talk about it. What do you think the episode is going to be about? I think it's going to be about charity work. Or like volunteering or something like that. Okay. I think that's a good guess.
[01:19:51] And I also want to know, just out of the blue, you got your cast. Who do you think is going home next? Oh, dear. Well, now I feel as though the top three are kind of cemented in there. Ooh, okay. Who's your top three? Well, not top three. But like, I feel like the girls that didn't go home that were all the team captains, I think that they are driving the drama. So, I just don't see them going anywhere till closer to the end if they go at all.
[01:20:20] So, Melissa Shea and Brooke are safe. Yes. I think Buck Wilde is safe because she does well at challenges. She does, yeah. I do think maybe Layleen could be in trouble if it's not something that's in her wheelhouse because she seems to freeze if she has to do any public speaking or anything where she's not just being beautiful. Like, she seems to kind of freeze up a bit.
[01:20:46] So, I could see Layleen being someone that goes next. I could see that. Okay. So, we got our bet on Layleen. And we will be back next week to talk about that and more. But until then, if you want to find our episode, you know where to find them. They are in our show notes. Find the show notes. Find the episode. So, watch it along and then come join us here live on YouTube as we react and get Chantel's first reactions to the episode. Chantel, what are you working on until we come back?
[01:21:16] Well, I didn't record my recap for last week's episode of Survivor 50 because it was too traumatic. So, I'll probably do a double episode of some sort for the finale just to wrap it up. But the season ended for me last Wednesday. And so, I don't have that excitement to really continue on. But Love Island should be coming around soon, both UK and USA, starting in June.
[01:21:42] So, I will be covering both of those hopefully daily if I can get my act together on Reality Realness with three S's. If you want to find me on Instagram at ShanFranFran. Okay. And, yeah. I, too, am devastated by the moments of Survivor. Sorry. Tell me. I forgot. Michael. I did talk about it. Okay. I did talk about it. It's true. Not on my channel, but on Michael's channel. I did talk about it. Ah! Ah! What's it called? Reality Recaps? Please. Please. Please.
[01:22:11] Oh, Hornhub, please promote your podcast in the chat. We will put it up on the screen so everybody will know where to find your conversation with Chantel. So, I did talk about it. I was a little bit sour, though. I was like, I'm sorry. I'm, like, sad. Let's Chat Reality! Yeah! There you go. So, check out Chantel's reaction on Let's Chat Reality. And then, of course, when the rest of her reactions to Reality TV on Reality Realness with three S's. And then, of course, catch the rest of the content we have here on Recap Kickback. I'm going to watch Is God Is today.
[01:22:41] So that Mari and I can talk about it on Tuesday for this week's episode. G and I finally got our Abbott Elementary finale podcast posted. So, that is up for all the people who are waiting on that for the last month. And then, of course, we got more coming your way later on. But that's it for Chantel and for myself. You ain't got to go home. But we'll catch y'all next time when school is back in session here on Recap Kickback Presents Charm School Live on RecapKickback.com. Peace! I've been trapped by Antoine Maria. I'm isolated like...
