[00:00:22] Hey, what's up fam and welcome back again to Recap Kickback presents the Rock of Love Kickback here on RecapKickback.com. That's right, it's me your host Chappelle back again to talk to you about another iteration of the Flavor of Love cinematic universe. We've gone through Flavor of Love 1, Flavor of Love 2, I Love New York, Charm School and now we're at Rock of Love Episode 4. And with me my co-host who has been enjoying all of these episodes for the very first time, Chantel Francis. Chantel welcome back.
[00:00:50] What I love about these shows is every episode hits. Every episode's good. Like they're all like, there's all, you know sometimes we're watching shows like nowadays and like you're like, well okay it was okay, it was an okay episode. But every episode of these shows have always hit and I'm happy to talk about this one too. So, fun! Yes, so much fun. And with me for the people watching on YouTube, you probably already peeped this but for the audio listeners only, we have a guest. We have a guest with us.
[00:01:19] Months back, I think we alluded to the back alley dealings that allowed us to get these episodes because some of them are very hard to find online. But we did have someone behind the scenes helping us out. It's David Healy from the Cup Network. David, welcome. Yeah, thank you so much for having me. This is kind of wild because I'm used to listening to you all on Spotify at 3X and I'm like, you all are talking so slow right now.
[00:01:45] Listening to me at 3X is actually crazy because I'm already talking on 1.75 normally. I'm a pretty fast talker myself. Yeah, I miss a lot of what you all say. I can't keep up. You got some good ears on you, David. David, thank you so much for joining us. Thank you for helping us out with finding these episodes. Chantel being in Canada, she missed a lot of them just in general.
[00:02:08] And now, of course, you know the internet has made it very hard to find some of these more colorful and problematic episodes of TV and reality TV history. But David, please introduce yourself to everybody listening. Let everybody know how you got into this series and how you ended up here with us today. Yeah, my name is David Healy. I have been an RHAP listener since year one. So I've gotten to see all the faces come in, including both of you.
[00:02:36] So, yeah, I've enjoyed listening to throughout the years. But as far as my involvement goes with what I call the 51 Minds universe, that's a production company that set up these shows. So I didn't start watching initially. It was my sister who was really into it. And she kept telling me, oh, you got to watch these shows. They're so good. But then finally, I think it was Charm School in 2007. I'm like, let me put on an episode.
[00:03:04] And it was the episode where Larissa and Lailene were going at it. And Layleen's like, I'm a damn good mother. And Sapphira was like, oh, you mad, huh? Oh, you mad, huh? I was hooked from that line. Oh, my God. No. Crazy, crazy. OK, I'm glad. I'm glad we got you on this journey as well. So the chat is asking if this is live. Yes, we're live every Sunday here doing Sunday school, teaching and educating Chantel and all the listeners who are not familiar with this.
[00:03:34] But we brought in David, who is an expert in this area as well. He had the episodes for us to be able to, you know, be able to watch. And David also has his own podcast that he he talks about reality TV on. David, tell us everybody where they can find you and what you've been working on. Yeah. So I joined the Cup Network. So they have two different channels that really are like two main channels, at least one is all drag. And I used to be on there all the time, like seven, seven times a week doing different podcasts.
[00:04:03] But I had to scale it back. So now I'm just at the Cup TV, which is more reality TV in general. But I only do one podcast a week with with them. And it's called Reality Roundup. And we talk about everything throughout the week, all the different reality shows. So here's what we're covering right now actively on this one episode.
[00:04:24] America's Got Talent, Project Runway, Dancing with the Stars and X-Pro, Big Brother 28, The Traders Australia, La Mas Draga, Solo Las Mas, Drag Race France, Canada's Drag Race All-Stars, Drag Race Down Under vs. World, Drag Race Mexico, Latina Royale. We cover a lot. Our last episode was four hours, but we have time. Yeah, so you can just watch the sections that you care about.
[00:04:49] Was this week the episode where Tyra Banks is fighting with, who was it? Yes, Tyra and La Roach were going at it. So yeah, we definitely got into that on the podcast. So yeah, you can check that out. Nice, I'm going to tune in. I have to tune into that. I saw the clip of Tyra, well, of La being like, yeah, and if y'all don't like this dress, I think y'all are all stupid. And I was like, oh, I wonder how Tyra and Heidi felt about that. And so I'll be checking out the Cup TV as well to find out what y'all's thoughts were about that episode.
[00:05:19] And so yeah, make sure everybody go and check out David's content because they're covering the Rally TV shows that we just don't have time to cover. And I mean, it didn't seem like it didn't matter what country you're in. I mean, all the drag races are covered, David. Oh yeah, we talk about them all. Like every single country, we've interviewed tons of queens as well. I went to DragCon UK and interviewed queens there. So it was a lot of fun. Did you have a chance to sing bing, bang, bong, sing, sang, song, bing, bang, bong?
[00:05:46] Yeah, I didn't sing it, but I heard them sing it live and I interviewed Bimini about it. So yeah, it was a lot of fun. Yeah, Bimini was great. Wow. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah, yeah. Sorry. We're not worthy here. Didn't know who was a bong. Okay. Well, thankfully we have David here to help walk us through episode four of Rock of Love called Riff It Good. I love this episode. Chantel's already said it. Another great episode.
[00:06:15] David, when you watched Rock of Love the very first time, what was your feeling about Rock of Love in comparison to, you know, like the flavor of loves and I love New York, kind of like the beginning of where we started in this universe? Yeah, it's definitely a bit of a different vibe. I feel more comfortable laughing at these people for some reason. I'm like, oh, I can laugh at the white trash girls. But no, it's just a really interesting vibe.
[00:06:42] I think the way I viewed the show at the time was pretty different because I was like, I'm rooting for the nice people. Like I was rooting for the Sams and the Jesses. But like as the years went by, I was like, I'm kind of just rooting for the cartoon characters. There you go. Like all the wild people. Like the hotties, the Mr. Bostons, the rodeos. So yeah, those are my faves. Yeah. No, that's what I'm talking about. The more you watch the show, there's so much to take from it.
[00:07:09] You know, I remember the first time I watched it and I was very much like, dang, this rodeo lady seems so nice. But Chantel, watching rodeo in this episode, I was like, she might have just needed a little maybe some help. Maybe she just needs to talk to somebody. We lost her today. We lost rodeo. I don't know what. I was saying that she was a front runner yesterday or last week. And now I'm like, she front running herself right off the show. Yeah. She still got called first. Spoiler. Right.
[00:07:39] She got the first call. But then it ended in tragedy. But it was a very tragic episode for rodeo throughout. Let's kind of talk about, you know, the ups and downs of rodeo in this episode. So we start off with the aftermath of the last elimination. You know, I think my girl also fallen soldier here. Brandy C. She had a tough episode, too. Her girl, Christia, is gone. And Chantel, all she wants is to spend time with her boyfriend, Brett.
[00:08:07] I love that she will never stop calling him her boyfriend, no matter what's going on in the episode. Well, I mean, he is her boyfriend. It's all their boyfriends. And so I do like her being like, he's my man. It's my boyfriend. Even though every girl would probably fight her to get to him first. I don't know. Like, did she know that Brett was in the bedroom? Because like, and how long was she waiting? Did they allude to hours? You know, I don't know.
[00:08:36] But I do know that she has nobody else to talk to. Christia was her, like, that was her tag team partner. You know, that was her Barbie twin. They put their boobs together. It makes them smarter. You know, they figured that part out. But now that she's gone, she's like, I don't even have any interest in talking about these other ladies. And so while she is mourning the loss of her, her twin, Christia, Rodeo is mourning as well throughout this episode. David, we're going to find out a lot about Rodeo and her son. She's missing her child.
[00:09:04] Yeah, I think this was very genuine place from her. She was missing her son. And I feel like it kind of shifts at some point. We'll get into that later. But in this moment, my heart went out to her. And I think Brett also really felt bad for her. And that's why they had this bonding moment. Chantel, the demon Lacey says, oh, I'm going to go tell Brett this because he's going to realize that Rodeo does not want to be here. He's going to hold this against her.
[00:09:34] What do you think about Lacey trying to use this against Rodeo and what Brett's reaction actually was? If I look at it as a competitive reality, you know, action and entertainment, I'm into it. But like, she is a demon. Like, she is so messy. I'd be so pissed if I was in the house with her and playing this game with her. I like that it kind of backfired, though, because like, she got some sympathy from him and like, got a nice, like, long embrace and hug.
[00:10:01] And, you know, he, he definitely was looking and understanding where she's coming from because he has kids as well. So I'm happy it kind of backfired in that moment. But Lacey, she messy. Lacey. I think somebody in our YouTube comments said that Lacey did get the call for House of Villains one of those seasons. Oh, I saw somebody say that. I don't know where that was. Yeah. Which is actually crazy. David, what is your take on Lacey as a character this season?
[00:10:28] Yeah, I mean, I have a love-hate relationship with her because there are times where she's completely obnoxious. The stuff with Dallas was insane. Like you all said, it did feel like a micro or macro aggressions coming from her. But she's such a great character. Like, honestly, of all the people from all of these shows, she is the person I would like to see on reality TV in 2026, 2027. So House of Villains. Yeah, she's been on my Dreamcast for years. Like, I would love to see it.
[00:10:58] People aren't talking about her enough. And I do think that maybe that should be something that we could track to, Chantel, one day is just like, now that we're building this new roster of reality TV people for you, who could we see going on to play in like these other shows? I mean, we kind of talk about it passively, but we could be like, maybe after we're done with some of these seasons, we'll go back and like, maybe Dreamcast some of these people and say, okay, well. For House of Villains? Like 20 years later. The Traitors, you know, like, well, who could we still see out there? Not just like crazy pics.
[00:11:27] Like, I mean, Heidi would be insane on any show, but like, I really couldn't see her on The Traitors seriously. But Lacey on House of Villains, it does make sense. It does work. And that would be a nice, interesting angle that House of Villains like strongly takes a stance towards. Like, you know, we had some people from Bad Girls Club, which is a pretty old show. And so like, it's kind of bringing that nostalgia in. And so if they kind of leaned in that direction and maybe like moved away from any like current
[00:11:53] or maybe not as many current villains and have some old school villains resurfaced 20 years later, I think that could be cool. And I think Lacey could find a home for sure. Even Dallas could find a home too. She's kind of a villain too, right? She's a little bit. Yeah. Very least an anti-hero. I'd say a villain too. I think it's really hard to find a lot of heroes on this show, you know, even right now. I couldn't tell you who the hero is. There are people that I'm kind of bored by or like indifferent to.
[00:12:20] And then there are like the villains that I'm very entertained by. But I don't know about hero. David, to me, it's probably harder to create new villains in reality TV than it was back in the day. Oh, yeah. I think because a lot of things that were problematic were allowed back then on TV. And now it's like, oh, we want everybody to be nice. We don't want anybody to get canceled. But I tell you, if there was Twitter back when this was airing, so many people would be canceled. We're on Twitter wars for sure.
[00:12:50] Oh my God. Yeah. Just an awful commitment. Out of the people in the cat's zone right now, who would you guys hang out with? Who do you guys enjoy? If you were in that house, who would you be friends with? Yeah, David. Do you have a person that... I know Lacey is your dreamcaster, but I don't know if you would want to spend how much time you want to spend with Lacey. Who would you think would be like a fun hang? Yeah, I think I would gravitate towards big personalities that are real. And right now, I think of Heather. Like, sure, she has her issues, but I think she'd be a lot of fun. Yeah.
[00:13:21] Dang. I thought I was coming in here with a hot take, Chantel, but I think Heather is such a standout in this season so far. Heather has to win, right? Like, she has winner all over. I've been calling it for a while. She... I can see her with Brett. Like, she's fun. She's pretty. She's still a little bit mature. Like, he does like the edginess of, like, her being a dancer, but still having goals and all that. And so I just think that she's, like, the most fun vibe in there. Like, oh, well-rounded.
[00:13:50] Fun girl. Yeah. They kind of highlighted it a little bit, but Heather talks about how, you know, she's... Yes, she's a stripper, but she doesn't plan on doing it her whole life. She said she was going to give herself five years. She said it's about six months left. She's been trying to pay off her student loans, you know? So there's a lot to Heather. I think for me, yeah, she's probably... If I had to name who the rooting interest is, I guess it's really hard to not get behind Heather. She's one of the bad girls, you know? She's not one of the boring ones, as they call them. Like, I'm a bad girl. Are you a bad boy, David?
[00:14:21] No, you're a good girl. Yeah. David's a good boy. I don't even drink, so I'd be, like, hanging out in the corner with Sam, like, oh, yeah, I want to leave, too. And you should probably be like, yay! Shout out to God! Yeah, they're on the pole. I'm watching. So, okay. This challenge is very interesting. It's called... I don't know. The episode's called Riff It Good, because we're going to be actually doing music. Flav never really made the women actually do music.
[00:14:51] I think for him, he's like, I don't want to hear y'all rap. You know, like, that's not really something that he was interested in. He kind of let them do it every now and then. You know, we watched him do the dancing, Chantel, and that kind of stuff. But not really get it to, like, create a song for me. You know, Crazy would have stepped up to the mic, obviously. I was waiting for it. Yeah. So, this is different. He's going to pair them up in teams of two.
[00:15:17] And they're going to have to either make a rock, like an upbeat song or a ballad. And I guess dedicate it to Brett and also perform it. And then he's going to choose the best song or best performance. And those people are going to win a date with him. So, do any of these teams stand out to you, Chantel, as, like, the frontrunner? Well, they didn't get – they didn't win. I thought that – what would Jess and – and who's she with? Brandy M. Brandy M. I thought that they were the best.
[00:15:46] They were the most fun. Like, they didn't seem like – they didn't sound terrible at a tune. Like, it was – they were cute. I thought that they were a fun watch. And so, I thought they were the frontrunner of one million percent. I was like, oh, my God. They got this. They're winning that date for sure. I was very surprised that it didn't go that way. Yeah, David. Who stood out to you? Yeah, I completely agree with you. Like, when they said there was a tie, I was like, okay, yeah. It's going to be Jess and Brandy M. Because they had so much fun.
[00:16:15] And it's going to be Sam and Brandy because of the lyrics, not because of Brandy. But, yeah, I'm totally with you. They had so much fun. Richard had a stick up his ass, though. He did. He did. He's being boring. Is everybody trying to play Simon Cowell? Is that what – this era? I think so. It might have been as well. You know, it's still kind of like the era of the mean judge. You know, I think that Simon really – That looks exactly like that guy and Simon Cowell. Simon popularized it. The guy from Charm School. Yeah, exactly.
[00:16:43] We brought in all the British dudes with the turtleneck sweaters and, you know, the stuff. But, you know, like, it became a thing, right? So, yeah, I thought that they looked like they were having a great time. I like the way they approached it, too. They're like, we're not good at music. So, we're just going to drink and see what happens. Fun. And it could have turned out worse. I will say it. I am a Brandy C apologist. I love that woman. She is so funny to me. And I was really rooting for her and Sam because they were so different.
[00:17:09] You know, like, Sam's like, hey, I wrote these lyrics in my book. And that's so heartfelt. And all this stuff. And Brandy C's just like, I can't sing. I have nothing to add. But I'm going to try my best. Chantel, she sounded awful. But she tried. Well, one thing. Okay, she's terrible. She definitely is tone deaf. And I actually don't even understand tone deafness because I'm like, why don't you just sing the same note? Like, I just say no other. Sing a tune. Like, what's wrong with you? But she had sometimes she was trying to sing a tune.
[00:17:39] And she kind of had a, she was singing like in a third. And so like, I know what it sometimes like it's a little bit obviously at a tune third, but she was singing a chord at some times. And I was like, that didn't sound too bad every once in a while. Yeah, David, the harmonies were there sometimes. Kind of. Exactly. A little bit. Yeah, that's what I was about to say.
[00:18:03] I think Brandy C is so tone deaf that it almost goes to the level where she's harmonizing accidentally. Yeah. And she's like, ooh. And it was like, it was kind of in tune. I was like, oh my God. Ma, me, me, ma, me, mo, mo. Actually, I don't know how it goes. Well, maybe it's in Canada. It's different. But we always sing, me, me, ma, mo, mo. It was always like that. Not ma, me, me, mo, mo. I've never taken vocal lessons. So, you know, between you and Sam, I was like, oh, this is new.
[00:18:32] But I think Sam's challenge here is not only to make sure that, you know, the lyrics are good, but also if she knows that Brandy C can only sing these two, three notes, it's up to her to fix the harmony, right? Like she needs to change the pitch, you know? Brandy C, you do that. And then I'm going to harmonize on top of it, you know? And I think there were moments where it didn't sound so bad. And so it was like, yeah. She talked it sometimes. She was doing a little talking, singing. Which is better. And like you would get away with a lot with talk singing. Exactly.
[00:19:00] So I was happy with them, the way they were interacting together. The other standout, I guess, to Brett was Heather and Magdalena. I just don't even know what to make of Magdalena, David. She's a character. She is. I think what's funny is she started in episode one talking about how somebody was, I don't remember who, but she was like, oh yeah, they're so manly. They're so manly. And then that's become her own story. Is that everybody's like, oh, this is a drag queen.
[00:19:30] And let me tell you, this era of reality TV, so transphobic. It's all the transvestigating that they're doing. And it will get worse. You'll see other seasons coming up where it's so much worse. Yeah. Every, even since Flavor of Love season one, I think every season there's been, you look like a man. You look like a man. You look like a man. You're a man. You're a man. You're a drag queen. Drag queen with no ass. You know? So some of them lines are iconic. Oh yeah.
[00:20:00] That was boots to New York. You look like a drag queen. And New York's up there. It's fabulous. It's fabulous. Iconic lines, Chantel, but you know, it is problematic. You get to be calling women men for no reason. It is problematic. And sometimes I have to like turn my brain off of like, you know, dissecting. At that time, we were a lot looser with, you know, how we spoke about other groups of people.
[00:20:28] And so it definitely is jarring at times. So when you hear the R word, like, oh my goodness, which does happen. Like most of these shows have said that recently. So yes, it's definitely jarring, but I just kind of put it aside. Like at the time it wasn't so people weren't paying attention as much and being as considerate. So. So Brett's approach to Magdalena is very funny. He says, she's a big woman.
[00:20:56] So she got a deep voice, you know, like that was like, and I was like, that's, that's fair. You know, like there's a lot of Magdalena. So her having a deep voice, it doesn't seem like he bothers her too much. But I think Magdalena is kind of in the crazy school of, I think that I can sing and maybe I cannot. Right. To me, of all these women, she's the one who was the most confused about her musical powers. Well, she wasn't super out of tune, but she was doing a little bit of talk singing as well.
[00:21:24] And if she, if she was able to sing an octave higher and like still maintain, then I think that I can say that she's a good singer. But she's sitting in a low register where it's easy to kind of get away with sounding okay. So yeah, I don't, I don't think that she's a good singer. Not as good as she thinks she is anyways. Yeah. And she's paired up with Heather, David, and they end up tying for the victory here.
[00:21:53] Were you surprised to see that they were the other two? Yeah, it's pretty wild to me. They were definitely one of my least favorites. They weren't the worst. The worst we haven't even talked about yet. But yeah, I was definitely surprised. Oh, okay. Well, who do you think was the worst of these pairs, David? Okay. Well, first of all, I have to say Purple Mia should be so happy that she was paired with Rodeo. I'm like, who is that? I don't remember who this woman is. If it wasn't for Rodeo, we would not know.
[00:22:22] We would not have seen or heard anything from Mia in this episode, David. Yeah. Yeah. They were atrocious, but the whole buildup, the whole songwriting process is some of my favorite stuff from this whole season. It just cracks me up every time. I cannot stop laughing at Rodeo. When she got so excited, we're like, oh my God, this line is amazing. She's like dancing and singing. I'm like... Yeah, like she wrote Bohemian Rhapsody right now or something.
[00:22:51] She could see the Grammy. It was coming. She just knew she had it in a bag. Man, I just love Rodeo so much. First of all, add a wedding singer to her list of jobs because she just casually dropped that here. And then she starts talking about the damn children. Rodeo. So you're writing a song to Bret Michaels. I get it. You missed your kid, but you are talking... This is like a love song. And then halfway through, she's like, and then the children. And poor Mia's like, why are we including the children?
[00:23:21] Rodeo would go on and say, yeah, we agree. We agree to include the children because the children are... They're like your rock. They're your future. They're rock legacy in how you pass it down through the kids. I was like, Rodeo, girl, you... Shantel, she made this up. Nobody wanted to hear this. Nobody wanted to hear it. And as much as she loves her child, and I'm sure that Bret loves his children as well, is not sexy. Talking about your kids, not sexy.
[00:23:50] It just isn't. I'm sorry. We found this first ick. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Does not turn him on. Okay. This wasn't it. The counter scale as well, right? Yeah. This wasn't it. This was not it. Yeah. Like, if we were watching Rodeo's, like, sexy stock rise, it was going down. It was plummeting. Because also, she does not stop crying at any point in this episode, David. I'm talking about every Rodeo conventional after this moment. It's just her and tears, no matter what.
[00:24:20] Yeah. And crazy sound effects, too. I have a theory, though. Okay. My theory. So, in the beginning of the episode, we saw her have that bonding moment with Bret. And I think that was genuine. But I think there was a strategic part that popped up in her brain. And she's like, wow, that got me closer to Bret. Let me bring up the kids. That's going to just keep bringing us closer. That's something we have in common that nobody else has in common. So, he's going to really like me after I do this.
[00:24:50] I can see that. You're not wrong. Fair point. When she loses this challenge, one of the things she's screaming while she's crying is, I just don't want people to think I used my kids. I tried to use my kids for this. I didn't think that. Nobody accused you of. Why would that be something you thought that somebody would think? Because that's what she did. That's what she did. She was using her kids. Do you even have kids, Rodeo? Rodeo, yeah. Show us the picture of your son. So, yeah.
[00:25:19] Not the greatest showing for Rodeo. The only pair we haven't talked about is Lacey and Aaron. Aaron. I think Heather called her Circus Hooters in this episode. They got to get off of Aaron's breast. They got to. David, all she had to do was hit the tambourines. Circus Hooters is good, though. Circus Hooters is so good. I think you might want to get some shirts made of Circus Hooters. It's so good. It's good. It's good. Yeah, I can't wait for you to get to Circus Hooters of Love.
[00:25:48] It's a great season. The Aaron spinoff is coming. Who has the best Circus Hooters? No, it's the Aaron spinoff. We got to find her love, but in a circus for her breast. She had nothing to do but play the tambourine, David, and she couldn't even do that. Oh, my goodness. Yeah. For me, I actually think the editors were being a little bit shady. She couldn't have been that bad, right? They were making it sound worse, right? I don't know.
[00:26:17] Did they pull the sound? They must have pulled the sound off of her mic, right? I don't think that they... It's very hard to be offbeat. You know what I mean? So it has to be real. I mean, it might be you're coming. You're with two people that can dance. David, can you dance if I call you out unintentionally? No, I can't dance. But I can keep it. That wasn't bad. Yeah, she's like, I can keep the beat. Yeah.
[00:26:46] You can play the tambourine. I'm not insulting you, right? Yes, I have played the tambourine. Yes, I've done that. Could you play it offbeat if you wanted to? I think it would be difficult, to be honest. Right? It's like you end up going on a syncopated beat. It's very hard to be offbeat. So I think that it has to be real. Look at Chantel with all her talents. Like, oh, I can't sing out of tune. I can't be offbeat. I can only dance well. Chantel. Chantel. This is who I am. I'm sorry.
[00:27:15] I've been to Humble Rag this entire episode. She's the rodeo of the podcast. She does it all. She does it all. She's like, yeah, I'm a wedding singer and dancing. At least they do it well, though, right? Yeah. At least. So Lacey is trying to dumb this down. And this is why I think that maybe the producers, the editors aren't that bad. Because Lacey's like, I have to, like, dumb down the tambourine for her. You know, it's one thing for Sam to have to try to teach Brandy C how to harmonize. That's, you know, that's tough.
[00:27:45] But Lacey's like, please, Lord, for the life of me. Just one, two, three, four. Like, it's just a tambourine. She, um, Lacey was very disappointed, Chantel, that she did not win this challenge. She's shocked. I mean, because she is a professional musician, as Jess Kelly says over here. Just found out this episode. Who knew? So what instrument does Lacey play? So drums, we know that. Yeah.
[00:28:12] And at least I think she's touched the guitar at least once since the first episode. So I can imagine that, too. But she's never going to stop talking about it, Chantel. That's all we ever hear is that she is a professional musician. And do we, like, does she ever release a CD? David, do you have any insight into some of these Rock of Love stars in their professional careers? Yeah. I'm not sure if she has a music career. I know she's got a successful podcast that she does about all of these shows.
[00:28:42] So maybe y'all can have her as a guest sometime. Yeah. Yeah. I would love to talk to her because I'm looking at... I saw her bio pop up a second ago because I was doing a quick Google. And I swear it said Reverend. And I'm not going to ask any questions about how that happened. I'm just going to ignore that and hope for the best. Then maybe it'll come around and we'll get more information about that as we go. I mean, hold on. Hold on. Is this a spinoff?
[00:29:10] Reverend of Love or, like, reverend, like, are people coming together to make a band? But it's going to be, like, a church choir band? Like, I don't know. There's something here. I thought you didn't know spoilers. Yeah, I know, right, Chantel. Have you been... I told you about reading the comments. So, Chantel, I just went to her Instagram page. Okay. And she made a birthday post, you know, eight weeks ago.
[00:29:35] And I want you to take one guess of who the first happy birthday Lacey comment I see on the birthday post is. Matt Scott? You can guess. Matt Scott. It's Matt Scott. Matt Scott, get out of this woman's comments. Get out of her comments. Damn it. It's Matt Scott. Matt Scott. Yeah, it's Matt Scott. Oh, my God. We're here, man. Yeah. Brittany says... Raking the choir. So good.
[00:30:05] Brittany says in the chat, on her podcast, she talked about touring. So, yeah, there's... We probably have it. We probably have a little Lacey music. We might have to create a playlist once this is all said and done, too, Chantel. Between crazy and Lacey and Flay. We've got so much music to dive into. Skipping over Brett. Yeah. Well, the thing is with Brett is that his music was done by then. Now, did Brett release new music after Rock of Love?
[00:30:33] I mean, he has the theme song that he released. So... That's true. There's that, at least. Here's my backstage band. He's from Poison, right? That's the thing. He is. Yes, he is. So, you know, every rose has its story. This is the whole thing. He'll reference that a few times. Yeah. I know, but... There's probably a lot of karaoke songs. Right? Right. Oh, yeah. Nothing but a good time. They play that all the time on the show. Lots of karaoke songs, for sure. Like, ones that you can just kind of rock out to. But, yeah, I think when we get these new...
[00:31:01] These people popping up, these new artists, you know, I think we got to have to... We got to compile a list. Definitely still haven't heard that crazy song yet. So, I'm on the lookout, though. Matt's got to know you're going to hear this. We also need to do a list of the spinoff shows, right? Because we've come up with quite a few good ones. Oh, yeah. Right? Yeah. What's your favorite spinoff show? Whose spinoff show are you most excited to show? Well, right now, I'm into Reverend Fiennes-Royer making the choir. Like, I'm into seeing Lexi, like, leading a sermon or something.
[00:31:31] Oh, my God. I do not. I don't know how that happens. But, look, I hope... Like, it's impossible. Like, what she's thinking. I can't do it. Sorry. Can't do it. So, yes, we get through this challenge. And like I said, there are some mixed reviews on most of the people. But for some reason, Brandi C and Sam come out on top, along with Heather and Magdalena, for no real reason. We really just don't know. I think the bar was just in hell, honestly. It was low.
[00:31:58] And so, they just kind of had to go with the personality hires here, Chantel. Or maybe who Brett wanted to hang out with or find a reason to see if she liked them still. Because he hasn't really had that much time with Brandi. I think he likes Heather. And so, like, you know, he may be just, like, trying to pick some people specifically and had nothing to do. But he hasn't really talked to Jess that much. Has he? Yeah. He hasn't. He likes Jess. But he hasn't.
[00:32:27] Like, in this episode, there's almost no Jess content. And I think it's starting to weigh on her. She does kind of mention, David, that, like, you know, once again, girls are going on a date and it's just not Jess. Yeah. I actually think it starts to become a good thing for Brett. It seems like the more he hangs out with somebody, the lower they are on the list to get their name called. So, maybe that's a secret. It's like, oh, the less I'm around you, the more I'm interested in you. Yeah.
[00:32:54] Like, he's turned on by you by the very minimal things, right? Like, oh, you wore a hat today. That turns me on. But the moment you start talking to him, he's like, I don't know. You know, because you would think after some of the moments they had in this episode that certain people would be safer. You know, we'll kind of get to that in a little bit. One last thing that Rodeo is crying about, you know, not only does she miss her son, but also she's finding out that they're going to be going on dates. And some of these dates are her dream date, Chantel.
[00:33:23] When she finds out that Brett is taking Brandy C to go ride horses, she's like, it's my dream date. But you know all I can picture with you are, I want to see that date, New York and Brett. They would have nothing to talk about. I'm sure Brett would be turned on the entire time. But yeah, this is just... Was Brett turned on at all this episode?
[00:33:52] I don't remember him saying that. He said it's sexy to see a woman on a horse, but that's not the same. So I think this is a low turn on. It goes on the scale, though. Yeah, I think it's in there. It's a low scale, though. It's a low scale. You know, finding some sex is not necessarily like how he was just like, oh, yeah, she's got a heartbeat. So that makes me horny. You know, like, that's different. Yeah. I also like Brandy C kind of throwing slugs at Rodeo and saying like, okay, she needs to grow up. She needs to get over it, get her emotions in check, because I miss my cat. You don't see me acting like this. So relatable. I love my cat.
[00:34:22] I would miss my... I miss my cat while I'm at work. So... She's just a white cat. She's right up there on her cat tower staring at me right now. Name? Does she have a name? Lily. Lily! Lily! Okay. Yeah. No, I love Brandy C for being like, look, get it together. You're too old to be acting like this. And Brandy C, how old is she? Like, 21? Because we do talk about her age. She's very, very young right at this time.
[00:34:49] Because I think Brett is even at some point being like, you know, she's got a young soul. You kind of can tell that she's a little young. She's a little young. She was born in 81, if I'm not mistaken. That's older than I expected. I was going to say the same thing. Yeah. She's not as young as I would have thought at the time of filming. But she has a... Like Brett said, she has a young soul. Very young soul. Yeah.
[00:35:17] She's got that perpetual lyric voice going on. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Yeah. Very, like... Yeah. Yeah. For sure. For sure. Because I think that makes her, what, 26 at the time of the show airing. So, yeah. She's not that young. She's not that young. But she's that young. Everybody, I think, except for Heather and Rodeo are too young for Brett, I think. Right? Like... Pour one out for Rodeo again. Damn. Girl, what?
[00:35:45] I mean, Brett might think they're a little too old for him, though. Right. Right. Exactly. Yeah. He has that Leonardo DiCaprio syndrome. Yeah. She's 45 now. I would love to hear if she still talks like that. You know? If she's still kind of, you know... I do. Can you find her Instagram? Like a clip? Oh, yeah. That'll be my research, you know? You always got me doing a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Sorry. You know? I love it, though. Well, I'm doing it myself, but, you know... You cannot. You cannot.
[00:36:15] Because when we have to go into Brandy C's Journey for Love next season, I don't want to hear anything when we bring back Brandy C of Love. I don't want to hear anything when we bring back to her. So, Magdalena is not happy to be going on her date with Heather. In the limo, they talk about Rodeo and her struggles. It's just really a bad episode for Rodeo. They're on a date talking about her behind her back. It's like, all right. They go to dinner, and we see Magdalena as a little bit of a hater.
[00:36:42] This is, again, David, she's bringing up that Heather is a stripper. And she's like, so, because you're a stripper, do you even like men? That's wild. What a wild question. Like, what is she supposed to be like? Yeah, yeah. That's exactly what it means. It means I hate myself, and I hate them, too. Yeah. I was like, come on, Magdalena, chill. Like, that was so... Like, that would... She had an invite. I was impressed. Because, like, I would probably have clapped back for sure. Because she was definitely trying to make Heather look like in a bad light.
[00:37:10] And, like, kind of, you know, knocking her down on her profession. And just, like, I don't know. It was definitely... They're not friends. You can tell that they're not friends. She was not trying to hype her up whatsoever. But Heather handled it pretty well. Being like, yeah, I know how to handle it, man. And, like, that probably turned Brett on. It probably did. You know, and Heather's talking about how, you know, six months from now, she doesn't plan on stripping. She's paying off her loans. And Magdalena, she's mean. But I did get a laugh at it.
[00:37:37] She said, you ask the average stripper how long they got left stripping, and they're going to say, any day now. I mean, I'm not a stripper. I've never danced before. But, like, I understand, though, the fast money, like, cash. Like, I'm going to go with a stack of cash is so enticing. That's why I still, like, bartend once a week. Because I'm like, I just love having a stack of cash. No matter how I can get it. So I can see how it could be hard getting out of that world.
[00:38:04] Because it's just, it's pretty, I'll say, easy to get a stack of cash. Right. Yeah, she's just mean. Because it is funny, though. It is funny. She's like, she doesn't know how to do, she said, Heather's going to be a stripper her whole life because she doesn't know how to do anything else. Yeah, that's pretty cruel. I mean, but if you think about it, now that she's on TV, I bet business was booming for her in her strip club. I'm sure she had people coming from out of state to see her. So, yeah.
[00:38:32] She'll probably become like a star, like starring and maybe even go on a tour or whatever going around like, you know, Heather from Rock of Love is headlining here today. She doesn't even probably have to strip at that point. She could just host it. Like, Heather from Rock of Love is going to be there. And she brought some strippers. You know, yeah, yeah. Even that. And we know she likes getting topless, which really isn't helping her case, you know. But like, I'm not only strips. Like, girl, we see you strip every episode.
[00:38:58] It's not so, like, a rock star party. Like, everybody's top. You know what I mean? Like, I just don't think that it's out of the realm of. It's not that scandalous. Yeah, I don't think it's that scandalous. And just nice booze. Madeline is just mean. Yeah, Madeline is just mean. So, this is very interesting, Chantel. Brett decides to gift all these people guitars. Like, actual guitars. To me, that's such a cool gift. That's a great gift. I gifted myself a guitar about 10 years ago.
[00:39:28] Because I was like, I'm going to learn how to play a new instrument. I took one lesson. And I see this guitar sitting right over there collecting dust. But I would have loved that as a gift. For sure. I think it is definitely very cool. My guitar is in my other room. But yeah, I got one too. No, I never learned. I just have the guitar. Oh! Look, this makes three of us. Because I once bought a guitar. And I had all the ambition to learn how to play it. And it just sat. I eventually sold it to somebody else.
[00:39:58] Oh, so you don't have the guitar anymore? No. I was going to say, we got the three guitars right here. Right. We were that close. We were that close. Making the bad was happening right now. Get Lacey on the phone. So, they get the guitars. And David, Heather says... Well, Brett, he actually brings it up. He's like, okay. The night's young. I'm not ready to take it in yet. Let's go do something fun. And Heather's like, yeah, should I get my tattoo on the back of you? Can I get a tattoo for you on the back of my neck? This is actually crazy.
[00:40:29] Would you get a tattoo for somebody that you potentially might not even be able to date, David? Absolutely not. I wouldn't get a tattoo anyway. I'm a blank page right now. I have no tattoos. So, this was wild. We'll see if she actually goes through with it. But as of right now, I'd be like, that's insane. There's so many people still left in the house. Right. Right. Chantel, he says, maybe we'll save it for a solo date. Do you see this happening on this show, Chantel? You think it's happening? I think it could happen.
[00:40:59] I think it's happening. And it could be how they did the final two dates or whatever. And maybe that's how he ends up picking her. You know, yeah. I can see it happening for sure. For me, I don't have any tattoos. I've always kind of wanted to have a tattoo. But I never could figure out what I wanted to get. But because I like adventure and saying yes to random crazy things, I would probably say yes to getting a tattoo on this random date. Just because I'm like that.
[00:41:28] What do you think the tattoo is going to be if she gets the tattoo? Like, could you see her like getting his like name? It's probably like a rose. That's a good one. Maybe his like name over like a little banner or like put like or maybe their initials like B and H. You know, like on a little banner with like a heart with a rose. Yeah. Yeah. I don't mind the let's get a tattoo thing, right? Like I think we've heard Survivor players say they get a tattoo, you know, whatever. Like they all do a thing.
[00:41:57] But somebody's name, to me, that's a bridge too far. Like because you don't. You know, you could have it mean a lot of things. It could be Benson and Hedges. It could be like, I don't know. Because think about it like this. Imagine if New York was like, Flav, I'm going to get your name tatted on me. And then he leaves her at the final two twice. Chantel, he opens the same wound.
[00:42:26] The same wound, Flav. You cover over it. And nowadays, like 20 years later, you can get those things removed easy. So I think they could cover it. If he got Flav on, you can make Flav be something else. You know, it would be fine. Yeah. Okay. I personally don't know about how I feel about getting a person's name tattooed on me. I don't even have a tattoo right now. I have a brand, but I don't have a tattoo. But yeah, I don't, you know. You have a brand. Yeah. I've been branded. I've been branded.
[00:42:56] Yeah, for my frat. I was short team, but I had to take my shirt off. Are you a cult? A cult is crazy. No. I'm in a... You know, like the vow, the cult that was happening out in Vancouver or whatever. Um, next to you. So I was slightly in it, but like not really in it. Like I never got into the branding stages. What do you mean you were slightly in a cult? Okay. So it was, it was shared as it was called like ESP.
[00:43:23] And you're supposed to just like be learning out like, like ways to better yourself in like in life, whatever. This kind of like a self-help growth kind of practices. And so I was like recruited from like my actor friends, like all my actor friends out of Vancouver were in ESP, NXIVM. And so like, they're all like kind of disciples from the Smallville girl. And then like the, I forget right now that the other girl, Sarah, Sarah Edmondson, and
[00:43:50] then Sarah Edmondson is where they got all the Vancouver actors that were involved in NXIVM. So like, I met all like the honcho people. Like, and then like when I'm seeing this girl going to jail, I'm like, oh shit. Like I never got, there's no way that I would get to the level of being branded by like the owner. This is like nuts. But like, I definitely was in like a lower stage of NXIVM before like pre-cult.
[00:44:19] It's like the pre-grooming, but like I couldn't be groomed. I couldn't be tamed. You couldn't be tamed. They said you gotta get out. You were holding the cult back. This is crazy. As I tell you, you went to the cult interest meeting and was like, no, thanks. I mean, I love cults in general. I'm so happy that I was like slightly on the inside because in university, I took cults and new religion. And like, that was absolutely one of my favorite classes I've ever taken in my life. It was so insane.
[00:44:49] And I have a couple of good stories about cults for another day, but I love a cult. Well, we'll definitely put a pin in those cult conversations. We're going to come back to that later on. So they finished their dinner. Instead of going straight home, they do party a little bit in the limousine. It gets hot and heavy. We see three-way kisses. We see shots. By the time they show up to the house, Brett's stumbling. They're stumbling. And then we kick off a rock and roll party. We see people smashing guitars.
[00:45:18] Heather's topless for the 86th time, as Sam would say, or Jess. Somebody threw her in at us. And they're doing the stripper thing. They're having fun. Until eventually, Brett's like, I think I'm going to die. I need to go back to my room. Now, when he gets there, the three women waiting for him in the room, one being Brandy C, one being Lacey, and one being Heather. And then we get lights out.
[00:45:44] We don't really know what happened, Chantel, between the three of them and, well, four of them. What do you think went on in this room? I think that they may had like a four-way moment with Brett's microphone. Took turns doing karaoke. Took rocking the mic. Okay. What was it?
[00:46:14] Riff it good. Riffing it real good. You know? Because it could have been from the singing, right? That it could be good. Right? So riffing something else? Yeah. Maybe. I mean, this is going to be a topic of conversation the next day, David. Because when Lacey comes outside, they're just kind of like, so did y'all do it? Did y'all do it? Did y'all have sex? Like, tell us. Tell us everything. And she's just kind of, I don't know if she's being coy or if she's just being private. But she will not tell them what they did.
[00:46:43] She won't tell them what, yeah. She won't tell them what they did. But I think she wants that to linger over their head. And that's why she's even having this conversation in the first place. She's like, well, I'm not going to say what I did. I'm not going to say what we didn't do. But yeah, it's just there. So she's definitely toying with them. Now, how did Jess just jump to, if he licked your box and I can't kiss him? Like, what? Did he eat your box out? Did he eat your box out? Because if he did, I'm not going to kiss him.
[00:47:12] Hey, Jess, you mind your damn business. A lady does not. How did we get here? Right, a lady doesn't share. Does it kiss and tell? Or box lick and tell? You can't just be telling people. Right, you can't just be getting licked and telling. I said, what kind of a game is that? Crazy. But before we move past the party with them smashing a guitar, have you ever been to like a rage room or anything like that? Or like got to smash something?
[00:47:40] Like, I feel like that could be kind of fun. I've never done it before. The rage rooms do look like fun. I know people like, you know, Chantel, our podcast circle, they love a good escape room. I think we've done, we've done too many. We've done way too many escape rooms on these damn trips. I'm sick of them. I don't want to do no more. You know me. And you know me, Chantel. I might be going to run an escape room tonight. I'm useless. You know me. I did one with Matt Scott. You did one with Matt Scott. See, I don't think I've ever, we might have done one with Matt Scott. Did he leave a comment, a review? Yeah, yeah.
[00:48:10] Happy birthday. Yeah. I've never, I've just, it's just not for me. I'm not a, you know me. I'm not a puzzles and games type person. I'm really like just waiting on it to end normally. I try to do my little one-two and stay out the way. I try to help. Look guys, I found something, but I don't need it. But if y'all told me we were going to a rage room, Chantel, sign me up. I'm not full of rage, but I do like to break stuff. Right. When you never really get the opportunity to smash something. Like what?
[00:48:39] And so there's a rage room that opened down the street from my best friend. And she's like, I've never done this before. Do you want to do it? So we may in the next little while go to a rage room and I'll report back. Yeah. I'll see if they have a guitar there. Yeah. Honeykid pointed out in the chat that they had an office space moment. Yeah. That's what I want to do. Give me like the printer or the fax machine that does always jamming. And just let me have at it. Because I got some bent up resentment. Maybe get a fantasy.
[00:49:09] So like maybe like you can start planning, like being like, okay, this is the rage room that I want to be in. And so like you hate your office job. Like everything in there will have things to do with the office or, you know, we hate something else. And that could work too. Are we, is this a new business opportunity? I think we might have to talk about it. We might have to talk about the rage room. I think that might be a thing. I'll be the first customer as well, because I need to break something. I just want to try it. I just want to try it. I think that's a good idea. I think once I threw a phone and it hit the wall and I was like, ooh.
[00:49:38] But I didn't do it again because then the phone cut. It's fine. David, I thought one of the rules of this season was don't touch the guitars. Yeah. At first I was like, wait, is that one of Heather or Magdalena's guitar? That would have been really sad for them. But yeah, it seems like that rule went out the window. I think a lot of rules went out the window that night. They won't stop touching the guitars. Every time I look up, these women have guitars in their hands. I think we even saw that in this episode.
[00:50:06] I mean, I think we see three guitars at least and one gets smashed. So yeah, these rules are meant to be broken here as well as the guitars. So Sam is saying that she's disgusted by Brett spending the night with these women and she can't establish trust with someone who is cheating on her as they are starting their relationship. Chantelle, does Sam have a point? Wait, sorry. Was Sam a point in what? Say that again?
[00:50:32] She can't establish trust with Brett because he's already cheating on her by having these four ways. So she knows the show that she's on and she knows that the rocker likes. Didn't we already have this conversation about somebody getting jealous already in the beginning or was that flavor of love? Because I'm like, you know that like he doesn't want someone to be super jealous in the beginning. Like he wants to be free. He wants someone that's party. And who was it?
[00:51:01] Was it Lacey maybe? That was like, I'm so cool. I'm so like relaxed. Like I'm chill. Like he can do what he wants. Like I, like I know the rock and roll lifestyle, whatever. So I think Sam like now kind of getting jealous, but like not wanting to participate in the show. Um, I think if I just get her kicked off eventually. So on Rodeo's dream date, Sam and Brandy C are out doing a horseback riding with Brett.
[00:51:29] And there's a moment where Sam is like, okay, I really need to talk to him. And so she grabs him and Brandy C will say, Sam takes my boyfriend away from me to go talk about issues that they already have, even though they aren't together. David, I felt like that was that perfectly encapsulated what was happening. Like, how are you having a marital spat? And y'all not even, you barely know this man. Yeah, it's a lot. It's a lot to deal with. The boo, I can kind of see her perspective because like, I think she's actually there for a relationship.
[00:51:58] I think a lot of other people are there for clout and fame. So I think her actually being concerned about these things, like for their future shows that she's actually thinking about a future. And I think Brett kind of saw that too. So it might've worked out in her favor. Yeah. I don't know. I don't think he's into her like fully, but. Well, we already outlined, you know, there are a couple of people eliminated from this episode and it is not Sam.
[00:52:25] So maybe she is, you know, kind of the seriousness though she's taking, you know, in this dating, maybe that is something that Brett is really appreciating. Do we know what he actually is looking forward to? Has he, has he stated this clearly? He, he wants a woman who's down with his rock and roll lifestyle. He said that for sure. But you know, to what extent, right? Like with Flay, Flay was kind of telling them women straight up. There will be other women around, you know, and you're just gonna have to be able to deal with that.
[00:52:53] Brett hasn't really expressed that, but he, I mean, when you say rock and roll lifestyle, Chantel, that's kind of, it's kind of what I think he's alluding to. Right. He's like, don't be jealous. Like, you know, phone sex to keep me in the mood and don't complain. Now, David, how much of a rock and roll lifestyle is Brett Michaels living in 2007?
[00:53:18] Like, uh, it's not exactly, you know, in his poison days. Yeah. It's not in his poison days. I mean, those, those ended in the early nineties, but it's kind of crazy because he's not as old as you would think he is. Like, I think he's like late forties and early forties right now. So it's like, what I used to think was an old man now doesn't feel that old to me. So I mean, you're in high school with Brett now.
[00:53:49] Yeah. It's, it's just interesting to me. Cause he, like, he does talk about it. Like, yeah, you know, I'm gonna be on tour and I'm gonna be on the bus. But I was like, I don't even know Brett was still living that life in, uh, in 07. I mean, obviously he still wanted to at the very least, you know, he started to think about it. Yeah. You know, he's like, I'm open to it if possible, you know? And so maybe there is something there. I just thought it was very interesting that that's what he's looking for. Um, same thing with Flav too. Like Flav, what are you even doing really right now?
[00:54:17] You know, to where you would need like, oh yeah, I need a woman who's okay with the lifestyle I live. Sorry. Go home. You got eight kids, you know? Go be a family man, you know? Go to bed. Yeah, go to bed. What are you doing? Um, so. Has there been any, um, sort of, uh, either like a book biography or like each Hollywood story on Brett Michaels? Because like, I, I'm actually am curious as to how he got to his fame. One of the best books that I've ever read in my entire life.
[00:54:47] I read it pretty much in one sitting was, um, Red Hot Chili Peppers. There's, um, I'm now forgetting the name of it, but like it was Scar Tissue. It was the best book. It was so cool reading and seeing like his whole journey, like coming through it. Like who is meeting the stars? Like it was awesome. And so I would, I was just curious if there's something like that for Brett, because obviously I know he was in Poison, but I don't really know that much about him. You know? I'd be curious.
[00:55:14] So biography colon Brett Michaels is at a one hour and a half, uh, documentary or from A&E that is currently on YouTube. Um, if you wanted to go and check that out, um, I wouldn't check it out in case they're going to spoil this show. So let me screen it first. Giving you more work to do. You don't know. He could be married to the winner of this season. I can't like, in the first, you know what I'm saying? And like the, it opens up.
[00:55:43] We have adopted Rodeo's child. It opens up and Magdalena's like, yeah, so Brett and I met on Rock of Love, you know? You don't know. You don't know. So anyway, uh, it's elimination night and we have to start cutting people and he's going to take a little bit of a different approach this time around. Now, Brandy C is, um, I'm Brandy M. I'm sorry.
[00:56:11] It's concerned because the bimbos are trying to get in Brett's pants and now she doesn't really know what he wants. Um, Rodeo is saying with tears in her eyes. I just want Brett to look at me like the mother figure he needs in his child's life. Like, Rodeo, please. Hey, rock and roll, girl. She's milking that angle. She's like, like, when did you become like, I came here to be a mom? Like, lady, you were so cool and fun. What happened? Um, anyway.
[00:56:41] It's the embrace, right? Like, you called it. She got that embrace. And she's leaning in. And she's like, oh my God, this is my in. And he appreciates the fact that I'm a mother. Yeah, you're right, David. Nailed it. Yeah, definitely. Um, and she is mother, but she's not the mother he's looking for. So, um, Brett starts with Rodeo. Rodeo gets the first pass, or at least it looks like maybe she might, but no. He is going to eliminate Rodeo here.
[00:57:09] Uh, he says, I want you to go home and see your little boy. He gives her the hat off his head, basically. And he sends her on. And he even walks her to the door and leads her out of the, the, the building. Chantel, what did you think about this exit for Rodeo? I had a feeling it was gonna, it was coming because she was crying a lot. She was becoming a little bit unhinged. Um, she, you know, speaking too much of her, she missed her child too much.
[00:57:35] And it wasn't sexy anymore, I think, you know, for, for Brett's standard anyways. Um, and I think he wanted to give her a classy exit because he does like her. He does appreciate the fact that she's a mom and she has, she loves her child. But I don't know if it's just me, but there's something about her unhingedness this episode that I can see her coming back. Like crying and coming back.
[00:58:00] Crying and being like, no, like we still have something, kind of like what's our girl from episode one, you know? Don't thread me with a good time. Yeah. Exactly. I can see her crying to, to the bouncer and like, let me back in. I need to see him. Like I miss him or something. I don't know. I feel like it's not the last time we're going to see her before the reunion. Yeah. David, was this him walking her out? So she didn't make a scene. It might've been. I think he also wanted to gaslight her.
[00:58:27] He's like, yeah, we had our conversation last night and I just knew there was something within you saying, Hey, I'm ready to go home. And she's just nodding her head. But that is not the case. Even afterwards, she's like, I didn't want to go. He gaslit the hell out of her. He needed her to believe it was her idea. You know, he's like, you know, you asked for this. She's like, no, I didn't. He's like, yes, yes, yes, you did. Yes, you did. So we lose rodeo here.
[00:58:56] And then he starts to give out the backstage passes. Mia gets the first pass, David. Do we know why? It's because he didn't have the ick. He wasn't around her. He didn't have sex with her. So it's like, I have no idea who this person is. I got to keep you around so I can get to know you because I just haven't yet. Jess is next. She had a good moment drinking the beers and playing the guitar. Erin and her cartoon boobs.
[00:59:26] Chantel, she gets the third one. Nothing to say. No personality attached to Erin. Just cartoon breast. I feel bad that, like, I do stare at her boobs a lot. I'm just like. They're huge. They're big boobs. And I feel bad, like, you know, talking about someone's body or whatever. But they're really out there. It's they're huge. It's not even like derogatory or complimentary. It's just an observation. Like, they're huge. Yeah. Yeah. That's all.
[00:59:56] Erin goes, then Brandy M, who I do like Brandy M. She seems so fun. Every time they cut to her, she's like, you can tell she's there for bread. But she's also not boring, kind of like in the same vein as, like, Sam, you know. She also looks like somebody that might, like, I've seen before. Or she looks like somebody that's married, maybe a celebrity or something. Because she does, she has, like, a face that I recognize. I don't know if it's just from this or if we see her again in the future.
[01:00:25] But just putting it out there. She's another one that would be a really good hang, I think. Oh, yeah. Brandy M's fun. You can tell. She's a good time. She's a good time for sure. Magdalena next up. And then Sam. Sam finally gets hers. And, you know, she spent a lot of time with Brett. So, obviously, she's at the bottom of the pyramid here. Now, Brett says he really thinks she's looking for love. And he can get into that. So, the final three here. Heather, Lacey, and Brandy C. Chantel, everybody from the foursome is in the bottom three.
[01:00:55] Ugh. Ain't riffing it good, I guess. I don't know. They're riffing it okay. They're riffing it semi. Not semi. Oh, Jesus Christ, Chantel. Heather doesn't understand why she's in the bottom with these other two girls. I don't either. That's crazy. I don't either. David, why is Heather so low on the rungs here? Is it because she won't stay out of Brett's bed? I think it's more of a, like, storyline that they're trying to feed us.
[01:01:23] But there's also that, like, diminishing returns angle that men have a lot of the time. Like, oh, yeah, I've already tasted this fruit. Let me taste something brand new. So, I think maybe that's why those three were in the bottom. I am a man. They want to bury the lead here. If, like, Heather actually is the front runner, like I think she is, like, making it seem as though, like, oh, my God, she was almost voted out.
[01:01:48] Like, maybe it's just to kind of, you know, distract us and make us sink in. Like, she's not really the front runner, even though I think she is.
[01:02:26] Mm-hmm. And understand the party rock star lifestyle. Okay. Yeah. And I think the rock star lifestyle is just kind of catching up to him as well. So, he needs to stay at home, not complain, phone sex whenever he wants it, and make it really sexy. And don't get jealous of who he's on tour with. That's what we know so far about what he's looking for. You gotta like rock and roll. Like, you gotta be into the same.
[01:02:55] Y'all have to have that shared interest at the very least. Yeah. So, you know, we're building a woman here for Brad Michaels and looking for the one that's gonna meet up, you know, to his standards. Brandy C is upset. She's confused. She's like, why would he keep Mia and Jess and Aaron? They're so boring. I mean, she didn't say they're so boring, but I filled in the blanks, David. I just feel like, I don't know. Brandy C was robbed. Bring her back. Right. No, and honestly, that's why I wanted to come chat. It wasn't that this is my favorite episode.
[01:03:23] It's just, I felt like this was kind of the red wedding of Rock of Love so far. Because up until now, Brett hasn't even hit. Like, he's basically said it on the show. Oh, I'm cutting the boring people that aren't good TV. And then finally, he cuts Rodeo and Brandy C. What are you talking about? You cut two of the biggest characters of the season? Crazy. Is it gonna be Brett now? Or is Lacey just gonna carry? I mean, we'll have to find out, Chantel. But, you know, we can't tell you. I know.
[01:03:51] You know, and I think the Brett, like I said, I think the Rockstar lifestyle is catching up to Brett. Because instead of doing their champagne, toast, or anything like that, he's passing out bottles of water. Chantel, Brett said, no, we're not doing that again. I think he still hung over from the night before. But it's bad luck to cheers with water. Uh-oh. So, I don't know. Maybe he doesn't find love. Maybe. Maybe not. Or maybe he's gonna have two seasons and bring somebody back to open the same wound, Chantel. Could you imagine? Same wound!
[01:04:21] The same wound. Who's your candidate for losing in the final two twice, Chantel? Oh. Well, maybe that's the Heather position? No. Chantel! Damn! I'm just trying to think, though. It's not Heather. Heather is New York now. Well, that would be like a Brandy rule. You know what I mean? I don't know who is in that position right now.
[01:04:49] Maybe there's nobody for that. I mean, New York is a very unique situation in reality TV history. Who's the runner-up? Maybe it would be Heather and Magdalena. Maybe Lacey is a demon twice around, right? Like, she's a demon this time. So he cuts it at the final two. And he brings her back to, like, weed out the girls. Like, do they reheat the nachos, Chantel? Do we just make Lacey of love? Yeah.
[01:05:20] I mean, she has a podcast that she's talking about these things. Like, you can't just be one season, right? So she has to come back in some capacity. I wouldn't be surprised if they... Like, they love breakout villains or breakout stars in this kind of way. I can see this being an upward trajectory to her because she's very, very polarizing.
[01:05:43] And so I can see some reheated nachos with Lacey's lock in love or, I don't know, locks of Lacey love. Laced up. Lacey in love. Mm-hmm. Uh, Chantel, the final words we get from Lacey in this episode are, now that Brandy C is gone, her and Heather, they're going to stop focusing on the partying and start focusing on making sure that the girls that are not right for Brett are out of the house.
[01:06:10] So, uh, I don't know if that was supposed to be the takeaway here, David. Yeah. It's kind of odd when you have somebody that decides, oh, I'm going to link up with this other person. So she's basically paired herself with Heather. She's okay with them going to the end together as long as they're taking out other girls. Uh, I want to see her be a little more self-centered, a little more cutthroat. I want to see her go for Heather too. Right. Chantel, I think going to the end with Heather is a bad idea.
[01:06:39] It's a bad idea, but it might have happened. It's her only friend kind of, right? Like they're, is it the only two bad girls left? Or fun girls? Oh my God. Do we lose all the, do we, do we lose all the, all the bad girls that quick? Damn. The A team just crumbled in front of us. Right? Yeah. Am I mistaken? Lacey and Heather are the last two. So, uh, maybe. So they're probably going to be the last two standing. Yeah. Okay. I'm putting my flag in this one right now. Heather is winning the show. Um, I think that Lacey will come in second.
[01:07:09] And if it doesn't work out with Heather, she is coming back around for round two. And then she's going to open that same room because I don't know if it's Heather that's going to win again or whatnot, but, uh, it won't be Lacey. And then she's going to get Lacey locks in love, uh, for this third season of this little iteration. And check out Brandy C on charm school season. I mean, I know I need to see a new charm school though.
[01:07:39] Obviously who would host it? Would it still be Monique? I mean, for rock of love. No, I probably need somebody more rock adjacent. I don't know. So some white lady that's sitting at home being like, I watched those women and I thought someone needs to do something. Cause that's what Monique did for, uh, charm school. Hmm. So I don't know. I'm going to, I'm going to think of some, I'll, I'll have like an idea of who should host charm school, but like the rock and love version.
[01:08:06] And so if we're reheating all the nachos, I think our first boot, uh, is probably, or our, the, we have to like bring back somebody who barely got any screen time or something like that to be the winner of, you know, to come back from like first boot. So maybe Tiffany. Yeah. Maybe Tiffany, uh, don't threaten me with a good time because you know, she was almost the first boot, but she came back in the house. Three those nachos.
[01:08:30] That's like actually the perfect person to be like, get, like, get that streak out of her hair. Like no more drinking, like whatever it is. But like, I can totally see that arc. It's like that name, David, Tiffany. It's so ugly sister. What is your name? Yeah. Yeah. What do you do about the nicknames? Like not many people like Jess, you're no longer clavicle Jess. Aaron, they called you circus boobs.
[01:09:00] What is your real name sister? This was so much fun. David, thank you so much for joining us. Yeah. Thanks for having me. It's been a blast. No, this was crazy. Good. Tell everybody where they can find you. Do you have any last words for the listeners or for Chantel before we embark on the rest of our rock of love journey? Yeah. I'm just, all I have to say as far as the rock of love journey goes, it's going to get wild.
[01:09:26] So just wait till you get later in the season, there's going to be some drama coming and it's going to be a lot of fun. And I can't wait for you to see whether other shows are coming down the line because there's a lot of good ones. Oh, yes. Yes. But you can follow me. I have my letterboxed in my Instagram right here. If you like movies, I'm on letterbox. But also go check out the cup or the cup TV. There's two different channels. That's the logo right there. Ooh. Yeah.
[01:09:55] We have our own cups. Yeah. Yeah. Follow us. You can buy our merch too. But yeah, check out Reality Roundup. I also do about once a month show with the same people where I'm covering American Idol, the old seasons and talking about our top 20 performances from the seasons. We've done the first two. We're going to be doing season three soon, which I'm so excited about. I love Fantasia. I love Jennifer Hudson. Oh, so excited for it.
[01:10:25] Which season? One song, I don't remember which season was, but what's her name that's married to David Foster? Catherine McPhee, season five. Five. Okay. Season five. Yeah. I have one song performance that I thought was incredible. Oh, for the rainbow? Yes. That was a good one. It was so good. It was good. Her finale was really strong. That was either Black Horse and the Cherry Tree or something like that. She got a little box out.
[01:10:54] You know, don't get me started on American Idol. I will be checking out your podcast for sure, David. Because, you know, them old seasons is really what kind of molded us. I love some of those old seasons. I was in it. In it. Yeah. If you ever want us to come over and then chat about one of those old seasons or episodes of American Idol, I'm in. Yeah. And you all are welcome to come for a segment of our four-hour podcast. Yeah. I want to talk about the Amazing Race Canada and that's it. That's fine. Yeah.
[01:11:23] Chantel might have more shows to talk about than me. She might stay a little bit longer than I do because I know she's been... Chantel, I mean, you can talk about it a little bit, but you cover the traders. You cover, you know, you talked about the challenge as well. You covered it with me. So what do you mean? Yeah. Well, I mean, are you covering the international traders as well? Right now? No. It's too much. Right at the summer, I was dealing with Love Island. So Love Island really takes a lot of time. And I'm working a full-time job. Pardon? You covered that too? You covered that too, yeah. Ooh. What about UK though?
[01:11:52] Love Island UK? We covered that, but I did not watch it. I watched the first couple of episodes and then I let Lana talk about that. Oh, I thought it was a great season. And the after stuff is pretty good right now. Yeah. Chantel, what else are you working on? What am I working on? Who am I? What am I up to? You're doing the challenge. Oh, the challenge started. Yes, the challenge. Season 42. Two episodes have dropped. I did go live to talk about those two episodes. I will be live.
[01:12:20] Now, since it's like on Paramount Plus, it drops at 3 a.m. Sometime on a Wednesday, maybe a Thursday, but likely on a Wednesday, I'll go live and talk about the most recent episode. So I'm actually enjoying the first two episodes so far. So that's fun. Obviously, if the traders come back anytime soon, I'll cover that. And I feel like a new show started that is going to start that I might want to cover, but I can't think of it off the top of my head. I will be doing the update sometime soon.
[01:12:48] So yeah, I'll be on RITP talking about Big Brother as well. I wish I was talking about it today because yesterday's happenings were happening. Yeah. But yeah. Can't wait to hear you get shouted out on Unlocked, Chantel. How dare? Like there's celebrity over here. How dare he not mention me? No, I'm just kidding. I know you're on the slot again. And Unlocked, Unlocked. Unlocked, Unlocked, Unlocked.
[01:13:18] Yeah, but look, the majority of the podcast that I'm doing is right here on RecapKickback.com. So make sure you subscribe to the podcast. YouTube.com slash at RecapKickback. We have surpassed 3,000 subscribers. We did. Oh, no, we did. That was quick. Yeah. I think maybe the Unlocked shout out from Derek Levasseur helped a little bit. I don't know. That was like 300 in like a day. That's great. No, it was like 25. We have been working our way up.
[01:13:47] I feel like the last time I looked, which is in the last couple of days, you were at 27 or 2.7K. We've been moving up. We've been on the warpath all month because I've been begging and pleading, okay? And so, yes, we have surpassed 3,000, but we're not going to stop there. So make sure you subscribe to the podcast. YouTube.com slash at RecapKickback. RecapKickback.com slash subscribe can get you that audio feed as well. So, David, I might take you up on that offer for that American Idol content for sure.
[01:14:15] Because, yeah, now I'm sitting here thinking like that you make me feel like a natural woman by Kelly Clarkson when she was sick that time. That's one of the ones. But, yeah, we could talk about all of that and more and all kinds of different stuff here on this podcast. But also. And I'll be a wrap on. Sorry, I just want to throw that in there before I forgot. I was like. Yeah. And Chatelle's going to be at our RGP conference. I want to go to Milwaukee for the first time. Find your rage room. I'll be here. Life wants.
[01:14:44] I'll be here with you all listening and podcasting about Recap Kickback things. And so make sure you subscribe to the podcast. Check us all out. Check out David. Follow him on Letterboxd. Make sure you check out the Cup Network. Make sure you follow at Reality Realness with three S's to keep up with Chantel. And, of course, follow at Recap Kickback on all social media platforms. But that's it for David, for Chantel, and for myself. You ain't got to go home, but you got to come back next week to catch us here to talk about episode five of Rock of Love. Peace.
[01:15:14] Peace. Peace.
