[00:00:21] Hey, what's up fam and welcome back again to Recap Kickback. That's right, it's me your host Chappell and I'm back again to talk to you about the next iteration in our Flavor of Love Cinematic Rewatch Podcast Series here on RecapKickback.com. That's right, we are still talking about Rock of Love. This time, Season 1, Episode 8 is happening and we just went to Vegas, baby. And so we're going to talk today with somebody who knows a lot about Vegas, but not too much about this cinematic universe. It's Chantel Francis. Chantel, welcome back.
[00:00:48] Vegas, baby, yeah! I do love Vegas. As most of you know, my dad lives in Vegas so I grew up going to Vegas all the time, Christmas, holidays, you know, summer vacation. And so Vegas is my second home, I would say. And I love this episode. I did not think that I was going to be shocked by anything, but I had, I believe, two gasping moments.
[00:01:17] And I was not expecting to have them this late in the season. So these girls are delivering and yeah, it was a good episode. I really feel like we found the perfect series to talk about in the Flavor of Love Cinematic Universe because all these seasons have just been giving me what I needed. Even Rock of Love, which I would say is probably like lesser of the two franchises between Flavor of Love and Bret Michaels' version.
[00:01:41] But even then, every episode is a hit and I can't wait to find out about those gasping moments. But first, I do want to thank everybody who joins us here live on YouTube and on Twitch to catch Sunday School. I see some of our faves and then some people who are here for the very first time, right on time. Okay. So a big shout out to everybody here for joining the chat, but also joining the conversations.
[00:02:03] Continue to leave those comments and all those positive feedback. Some five-star reviews as well if you're listening to the podcast version because we got to help people find the podcast, right? So we're talking about it. Chantel's pumping it when she does her podcast appearances. I talk about it when I get to do other appearances as well. We're really trying to build a community around this ridiculous-ass franchise. And so much of our success is due to your viewership and your help.
[00:02:29] So keep liking and sharing the podcast and joining us live here to talk about Rock of Love and then, of course, whatever is next. But remember, no spoilers. We're not doing that here. Nobody's telling Chantel anything because she already knows too much. I do. I try. I try. And it's like, you know, like maybe my algorithm, it knows that like, oh, I'm covering this show. So like, I'll get a random thing about Rock of Love and about things that I don't know about. And I just like, ah!
[00:02:59] Or a friend that just could not believe that me being someone that has seen every single garbage or not garbage reality TV since the 90s has not seen the cinematic universe. They just don't think it's possible. And so they spoil unintentionally because it's just so blasphemous. So let's just try because like, I don't really know what's coming. I've heard some inklings of things. I don't know what's next for sure.
[00:03:27] I don't know what's on Chappelle's playlist here. And so I do want to be able to be surprised at the end of the season. I love being able to like, guess what I think might happen. So yeah, it's fun keeping it a surprise as best as we can. Thank you. Yes. I see you, Karen, in the chat. Yeah. Chantel, we've been fully transparent with our listeners this season.
[00:03:55] You have to tell everybody what's the new news that you got from the Rock of Love universe the other day. Because you sent me a message. I forgot. I forgot. I was like, what? I didn't look at it properly. Good. But it seems as though, because like I saw there was another post. So something has happened recently with Daisy, but I don't think Daisy's from this season. Because I don't remember Daisy. You don't confirm or deny. Unless she was on this season.
[00:04:22] That apparently she is going through rehab or something. And Corey Feldman, I don't know if they dated or they're married or they're just friends. But he has been helping her through her recovery. So something has come up with Daisy. And it was just like, Rock of Love, Daisy, blah, blah, blah. Corey Feldman. So something's going on with that right now. Yeah. So when Chantel sent it to me, I did my LOLs and my love owls.
[00:04:49] And just, you know, continue to just have plausible deniated. I don't know. I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe that'll come up. Maybe that won't come up. Maybe we'll see Corey Feldman's love show in the future. Who knows? Oh, wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. He did have like some moments. Did he have a love show? I know you're just like throwing that out there. But like, that doesn't seem out of the realm of possibilities. I mean, it does.
[00:05:19] I'm just starting to remember something. I don't know what I'm remembering though. Listen, no, I mean, look, you might be onto something. Like I said, I'm not going to confirm or deny anything at this point. But yeah, it wouldn't be the most shocking thing in the world if we saw Corey Feldman in this universe. We've seen him on other shows. He's done like, I think there was a time where the former, you know, child stars and celebrities were doing the reality TV circuit.
[00:05:46] And so Corey Feldman was actually on The Surreal Life in 2018. He also did Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Juice and Celebrity Wife Swap. And so maybe you're not too far off base. Wife Swap. Was it the same season as? No. Okay. I'm thinking of marriage bootcamp. Yeah. Different show. Different show.
[00:06:11] I feel like I've seen some of a lot of them, but I don't know if I've seen all of them. You know what I mean? Yeah. Lacey Max tapped in. She said, I saw those articles and immediately thought of Chantel seeing them. That's what I'm saying. I, we got to keep this stuff under wraps. We can not let Chantel find things. People Magazine, like Extra TV. I'd be like, let them know. Can you remove yourself from my algorithm? Because it's just coming to me. And I'm just like, bleh.
[00:06:41] We also got tagged. I thought I saved this. And so the listener will have to just bear with me for a second. But we also got tagged in a post from Goldie from Flavor of Love. Is out here answering questions about the season. And so, yeah, we were tagged and people were saying, hey, why don't you talk to Recap Kickback about this? And dear God, if Goldie says yes.
[00:07:07] I mean, I don't know what to do, but we'll have to stop what we're doing to make sure that interview happens. Because I think Goldie, as her name suggests, that's an interview. That's gold. You know what I'm saying? We can't pass up on that. Are we making this happen? I mean, if she'll do it. But, you know, but like I said, I can't remember which one of the listeners it was. So I do apologize. It was Glenda. It was Glenda. Oh, yeah. Glenda. Thank you. Thank you, Glenda. Yeah. Glenda tagged us. And I'm just waiting on the green light. Maybe we should push it a little bit more.
[00:07:35] Maybe we should slide into those good old DMs. But I'm sure if Goldie wants to talk, you know, I think we got to talk to Goldie. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, I'm sure she like I'm not sure what she's doing right now because I'm not allowed to look. But I'm sure she'd be open to doing an interview. Like everybody wants more publicity these days, especially.
[00:07:58] And if like this is something that could maybe bump up her platform or, you know, if she has something that's going on, like a tour or something like that. Like every little bit of publicity, like people that care about the show are the people that are going to be coming to watch her show. So especially if she has something going on right now, I think that she would say yes, even if we're little guys. Yeah, I would be it would be so cool if we could somehow get our way into this universe, talking to these people. And maybe we can.
[00:08:26] Maybe they should not go listen to the old episodes because, you know, we weren't always talking as if they could be listening. But we said what we said forward. We will always be speaking quite well about these, even the demon Lacey, even the demon Lacey. And yeah, we do have to talk about her and whether whether or not she's possessed by the devil. So let's go ahead and jump into that. Chantel, we go to Vegas now, as you said, you're a big Vegas fan. I'm a big Vegas fan.
[00:08:54] I kind of think Vegas should be a required trip on most reality shows. Like if you don't take your cast to Vegas, do you even care about them? I don't think so. I think you need to see how people act in Vegas, right? Because like it's if you're if you're gambling, you drink for free, you know, and like there is no lights or like no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no windows in any of the casinos, which is every single hotel. And a lot of them are attached to each other.
[00:09:23] So you don't know what time of day it is. You are drinking heavily because nobody's telling you no. And they're pumping oxygen into these these casinos. And you got to see how you hang. Right. Got to got to because I think I think people have different versions of Vegas that they like. Right. Some people go to Vegas and they want to go to the Grand Canyon. They want to see the sites. They want to see historical Vegas, you know, those kind of things.
[00:09:51] And they don't need necessarily the casino and the drinking as much. They will go through it. You know, they'll go sit by the pool and stuff like that. So Vegas can be very relaxing. And if you take your potential dates or whatever to Vegas, then if they if y'all are good together, you know, y'all mesh. You'll either find a balance between what that person wants to do, what you want to do, or that person to be more like you. And you can have that moment together or you can quickly realize we don't party the same. This is not my type of people because I'm with you, Chantel. I love Vegas. I love the lights. Woo.
[00:10:22] I love it. I love it all. If you want, you can just like go there. You're like you could have a completely like normal like a date, whatever. You know, you wake up, you go for a really nice dinner because all the restaurants are like top tier restaurants. They tend to be buffets and you think that a buffet is not going to be good. But this is like a high end buffet. You're getting lobster tails like they're delicious.
[00:10:44] And then you can go see, oh, by Cirque du Soleil or Misser or like, you know, Celine Dion or like Brittany. Like you just like you have every type of date night at your fingertips and you can go there for any type of activity. So whether it's a bachelor party, whether it's an engagement party, whether it's a, you know, hen's holiday, like whatever it is. Like it really caters to all of the above. Yeah.
[00:11:13] That's one of the reasons why I love Vegas too. Yeah. Yeah. I've got a concert to Vegas. Like you said, you can see the people. I love it. I think the last one I saw in Vegas was Aerosmith. I think I saw in Vegas. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. No. You know what? Honestly, after this episode, I wouldn't be mad at it. They look like a, it looked like a, it looked like a, like a good time. You're not a fan. I mean, it could just be the sound quality that they were playing for us.
[00:11:42] So it just sounds terrible. So I know it would be different in, in, in, you know, actual live performance and the energy of crowds and stuff like that are always bring up going to see a show to the highest level. But it didn't sound good. It sounded like it wasn't really mixed that well. Yeah. And that was 2007. So, you know, maybe our sound quality is better, but also maybe they were better back then too. You know, it's been, it's been almost 20 years, you know?
[00:12:12] And so, uh, potentially they may not, they might not even be, uh, performing at the same quality, but I love the atmosphere. I love a rock, like a rock band atmosphere. I love it. I love the energy. Anytime. This stuff gets me hyped. Seeing other people get hyped. I've never been to a rock concert. Oh, I stay at them. I went to see Muse a month ago. Uh, and, um, who else was there? Uh, it's a rock band. Uh, they sing, uh, super massive black hole.
[00:12:37] If you're familiar with the twilight season, uh, series, there's a scene in twilight where they're playing baseball and there's a song playing over the baseball game. It's very like, if you're familiar with twilight, you know, that scene. Uh, well that that's the song they were playing in the background. That's Muse. I really enjoy them. I went and saw them last, last month, I guess, a few weeks ago. Um, and then like, um, there were a few other, uh, bands that are opening for them, but I love, I just like live music. We've talked about this. Yeah. It's, it's, it's pretty, pretty fun.
[00:13:05] And I'm actually going to make it a better mission because when I was younger, I used to see live shows more often, but like now I just, maybe it's cause there's no, like, I'm not, I'm not having a car and I'm not hearing the radio all the time anymore. That like, I don't hear songs like, Oh, Hey, it's coming to Toronto. Like you don't hear those plugs as often. And so I'm like, Oh my God, they were here. And like, and then the concert's over.
[00:13:31] Like, I think I saw that end on vote and you guys say end Vogue was, uh, I say on Vogue. Kennedy and friends on Vogue. Um, and I was like, damn it. I would have loved to see end Vogue. But yeah, I'm upset. I didn't, um, I didn't, well, I could have probably seen it, but I didn't get to, I didn't see Chris Brown and Usher. I was like, I mean, didn't work out because like, I didn't buy my tickets, you know, cause I didn't hear about it soon enough.
[00:13:59] And then, uh, we had a crazy storm when it was a TLC was here. Yeah. I think it was TLC was here. Oh, they canceled her, their concert. And like, and yes, I think it was yesterday or the day, no Friday. They're having, having, I was like, Oh my God, I'll buy, I'll buy your tickets. Since like I wanted to go, but I was in England. I was like, people just don't want me seeing concerts. Yeah. No, I love it. I love it.
[00:14:27] Anytime somebody says a concert's coming, I normally keep an eye out for the people I like. The next one on my list is Jungle. I need to see them in concert. Um, they're actually coming to Austin in a couple of weeks and I will not be able to go. So I'm very sad and that makes them higher on my list of things that I need to accomplish. And I always tell people if I have to, like, if there's one concert that I will not miss the next time it happens, no matter what, if I got to sell a kidney or my car or my brother, I am going to see Adele in concert. I need it. I need to sit there and see that lady singing. If she's coming sometime soon.
[00:14:56] She act like she's not coming no time soon, but it's okay. Cause wherever she announced, I'm going to be there. So if I got to get on the plane. Okay. Let's do it. I'm coming. Um, oh, you got, you just say the word. Okay. Like I said, I'm ready to sell all this stuff. Um, who needs two kidneys? Okay. So let's jump in. Um, we're down to the final four and this is tough because the, they've kind of paired up. We have the pair of Heather and Lacey who are, I guess that's team demon.
[00:15:26] Uh, and then we have a Brandy and Jess who, I mean, Jess is probably on the nicer side than Brandy, but at the same time, they both have a mutual hate for Heather and Lacey. And so I love this. I love that. It's now been paired up, you know? Yeah. The alliances are really paying off this season and flavor of love. It was, it's pretty much everybody versus New York. Yeah. And as much as that's entertaining and she's able to hold her own, you'd never really want to see a pile on. Right.
[00:15:52] So at least at this point they have somebody that has their back and you know, it's a fair fight. Yeah. And, uh, they're going to take this trip to Vegas on a rockstar tour bus, uh, with Brett. And I thought this was really cool. I know we've seen a lot of travel in these past few shows, going to Vegas, going to Palm Springs, you know, they go to all these places, but they never travel with the, with the lead, you know?
[00:16:18] Um, or if they do, it's on a plane and there's not that much interacting you're doing on a plane full of people, but on a tour bus, I think you really get to know people a little bit better. I mean, you are spending it on the, on the bus with, with, uh, big John for other women and then Brett as well. But I don't know. I just, I think they should do more stuff like this. I don't know how long the trip is from the rock of love house to Vegas, but, um, if I have to go to Vegas on four hours, yeah. Do you like a road trip?
[00:16:47] I do. You do? I just did a road trip last, well, last week with me and my best friend. We drove just outside of the city to go to our friend's wedding and we're just like, road trip! And so on a road trip, everything's free, basically. So you're, you know, you stop at the store, like, or like, you know, like the road, is it road stop? Yeah, I guess so. And you know, you get like, I don't know, I'm not going to get like a, usually get like a frosty or anything from Wendy's, you know? But like, you're getting it on a road trip.
[00:17:17] And so when we stopped, we got our nails done. We're like, Ooh, let's get our nails done in the boonies. You know? Oh, okay. You know? So yeah, I love a road trip. I don't. I love to drive. I do. I love to drive. I drive. I could drive all the time. It doesn't bother me at all. And I love when people ride with me and they want to listen to the music I want to listen to. And that's it. Like, I don't, I don't want them to talk to me necessarily. Uh, you know, you can, you can, if you want, but if you could just sleep while I listen
[00:17:46] to music, perfect trip. What I don't, what I don't like is taking two or three days to get anywhere where I could get in a couple of hours. If I flew, if you're telling me though, like from Texas to Vegas, it would take me about a day to drive there. Right? Like, uh, like, unless I drove, you know, if I drove through the night or whatever, like I could be there by morning or whatever, but if I want to be comfortable, I probably have to drive a few hours, you know, maybe get a hotel and drive the rest of the way, but I could be at Vegas by flight in three hours. And then with the time change, I would gain another hour or two.
[00:18:17] You, you're waiting here. I'm not driving across. And then of course, between Texas and Vegas, there's nothing to see. It's just dirt. There's just, it's desert basically, you know? So, so no, I don't want to do that. Anytime the option is fly or drive, I'm always picking fly. So usually when I've participated in road trips, it's not in view of flying. It's where the destination you're going to does not necessarily have an airport to be able to get to.
[00:18:47] So the road trips that I've had are going to be like, I don't know if you guys do this as much in the States, but we have like cottage country. So you take a road trip up to like a cottage, which is like driving two or three hours north and out of the city. You know, some people, super rich people like Goldie Hawn and like there's other like celebrity families in Muskoka. That's an area that they do get their float planes or whatever.
[00:19:14] And like, they have like a small little airport, but or like a helicopter or whatever, like, and they might fly in. But like, that's like the super, super rich. Everybody else drives in from Toronto and goes to say Muskoka, which is like, it's a, it's an elite cottage area where people do reside there as well. But a lot of wealthy people, it's their kind of hall, like summer holiday playground. Gotcha. Gotcha. That's where my road trips usually come in. I'd rather fly for sure. I want to, I like fast.
[00:19:44] In Texas, everything kind of feels like a road trip because nothing's really, really close. You know, it's like in Texas, you kind of have to like drive an hour or so to get to other cities that are big cities at least. So it's like, if you live in a place, if you live in a spot where in Texas, where you feel like you need to go to these other places, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, they're not close, you know, you got three hours in that direction, two, three hours in that direction, an hour. So, you know, so because of that, I've learned to love driving. But if I have to choose between getting to where I'm going and seeing the sights on the way there, I have no ambition to see the sights.
[00:20:13] Get me where I need to go. Well, I've already done the cross country road trip on the tour bus, whatever. So, well, I mean, I was getting paid to do it. Hello. I was throwing a party at every city. Hello. You'd probably enjoy it. You probably would enjoy it. I'm a party party in every city in Canada. Like, it's not bad. And so I don't know if I need to do that again. And so since I would say I have only flown. Yeah.
[00:20:43] See, that's the move. I know Karen drives, you know, she's talking about it in the chat now. So, yeah, some people like it. Like I said, I like the road, but not if I could, if the option, if there's an alternative, then I'm taking, I'm going to fly every time. Um, so when they get to Vegas, immediately Brett's like, I got to go to soundtrack. And Brandy's like, oh my God, that's so rockstar of him. It's so sexy. I think it is kind of cool though, to be with somebody who's like, I'm been, I got things to do, you know, like it was, it's all fun and games.
[00:21:10] You go pamper yourself while I go handle business. I'll see you later. Um, so you call that pampering what these ladies decided to do? Probably a little, maybe. No, not really. Oh, cause I mean, don't get me wrong. I would, I would love this. Um, but, um, yeah, I wouldn't call it pampering necessarily. Big John says they're going to watch Brett perform. Uh, then eventually he's going to get a one-on-one date with one of them. Um, so they're slowly going to get eliminated.
[00:21:39] Uh, now Brandy says, uh, she wants to get Heather trash. That's her goal. If I get Heather trashed and drunk, she's going to mess up. Um, but Heather and Lacey have a plan. Uh, and they want to target the other girls and maybe expose that Brandy M is just a groupie. And so, um, we see them drinking. We see them go to the concert. Brett's performing his old music. He performed bittersweet, but he's also doing some, some new songs.
[00:22:06] I feel like if you're going to do a show like this, you got to at least be promoting music. We got like one Flav music video in his season and two over two seasons. I think we only got one music video. I just don't think Flav pushed his music enough because I thought this was a great episode for Brett's music at least. Absolutely. And it's probably cause they learned from the two seasons of flavor of love that like, Hey, like if we're going to have a musician, a rock star here, like let's do something
[00:22:35] for their, their careers and their album sales and their tour sales. Um, now I wouldn't be surprised though, if this was maybe part it like in his contract. So maybe Brett was like, Hey, um, we are going to need to, for this to be a good business opportunity for myself and my band. And so I think that when they were courting him to, to play this role, um, that this was
[00:23:02] part of like their, their stipulations. It makes total sense. You know, uh, like I said, he's saying he got new music out. If you're at the concert and he should be promoting his music and now you got a TV camera on it as well. So who knows, maybe the, um, the promotion did help, uh, sales pick up for the next album. I have to look into that at some point. Uh, Lacey does say the performance made her feel closer to him. Uh, he even does his hit song. Every, every rose has its thorn.
[00:23:29] And so, um, afterwards it feels like a very accomplished day. They're all backstage. The band is toasting. The girls are toasting and drinking with the band. And Brett says, okay, I'll be right back. I got to go do something. Um, Brett will later on tell us he was gone for 15 minutes. In these 15 minutes, they got so drunk. I'm talking about so, so, so, so drunk. Know what was really interesting?
[00:23:57] Seeing a bottle of Jagermeister. What? I'm like, I'm like, whoa! We're back there! I remember Jagermeister! Take me back. Take me back. Take me back. I remember. So this was probably in, like, 2001, maybe? And, like, me and my best friend at the time, we were both bartending on New Year's. And we only had, like, a certain amount of, like, promo to be able to give away free stuff.
[00:24:27] And so we were inviting so many people because we want to have a good New Year's night. And so we bought, like, those big bottles of Jagermeister from the liquor store. And, like, we hit it. And so we would give people, like, our Jagermeister so that they wouldn't, like, so we didn't, like, have to charge them for it. And I remember doing that. Like, Jagermeister was my shot before I found tequila. I was a Jagermeister girl. Oh, my God. That's crazy.
[00:24:56] Places that Jagermeister on tap? Like, that's crazy. First of all. Jagermeister bombs? Oh, yeah. Listen, me and the bombs got down, okay? I ain't gonna hold you. But we used to buy the big bottle. We put it in a freezer. Yes! It was, like, so cold. Because if you drink it warm, it's disgusting. It's actually not great cold either. But I can suffer through it cold. I like it cold, though, better. I can tell. I'm not. No, no. But when I'm in New Orleans, you can catch me taking Jaeger shots for sure.
[00:25:24] Because that's where I am the loosest in my life is when I'm in New Orleans. And we've done that before. But, yeah, you can catch me on the street taking Jaeger shots. But the bombs, that's where you get me. I used to do them with beer. I used to do them with Red Bull. Depending on how I was feeling. But, like, I would just... Jaeger bombs, what we did was, like, dropping Jaeger by sir in a glass of Red Bull. See, we used to do it with beer as well because we were demons. And so... That's demonic. Yep. Did you teach that to Lacey? Well, maybe.
[00:25:53] Because she definitely... Or maybe I got it from her. Maybe that was her influence on me. Because by the time I started drinking, I had already seen this show. But, yeah, that... Ooh, I can smell it. The way we're talking about it right now, I can smell it. I know exactly what it smells like. Exactly what it is. Like, I can... Like cossard. You know how sticky it is? Like, I remember Jaeger. And, oh, and the smell of it mixed with Red Bull. Like, Red Bull had a time. I know it's trying to, like, you know, have its new flavors and all this stuff now.
[00:26:21] But I remember in, like, before this era, but, like... So my best friend now, Anna, she used to drink double Grey Goose Red Bulls. Like, that was her go-to drink. I'm like, oh, my God. A real one. It was a Red Bull, yeah. We saw a bottle of Grey Goose in this episode. We'll talk about that, too. Yes! Let me sing! Lib Gal in the chat. My first gasp was seeing the Jagermeister bottle. Oh, yeah. No, that's perfect. Lib Gal, you did catch us this time. You caught it last time, too.
[00:26:49] I just didn't get you your shout-out last time. But, yeah, they're drinking. And it doesn't take long before... They said they're chugging out, like, the bottle. It's like, anytime you're chugging, you gotta be between the ages, like, 20 and 27 to chug something. Because at 28, your grown folks, your instinct needs to kick in. Your instinct for survival needs to kick in, okay? Maybe you can drink a couple beers. You can chug a couple beers.
[00:27:17] But chugging vodka out the bottle is wild. 20, I say 16. I remember... So, remember, I went to an art school and all that stuff. And we used to go down to the area, Young and Eglinton. And there was this coffee shop that, if you go in the back, they would sell 16-year-olds 60s of vodka that had, like... It was like a... It was before Costco existed.
[00:27:44] It was like a jug, 60 ounces of, like, vodka. I don't know who made this vodka, but vodka for, like, $20. Like, we were just like, give it to us. We got a party to go to. So, like, I don't know, 10 of us would pitch in for the 60 of vodka. I think it was actually 60 bucks. And we'd go to this... I remember going to this party. And it was at 66 Gordon, which is in the bridal path. So, it was, like, in, like, a really, really nice house. And we're in the basement.
[00:28:12] And we're sitting in a circle, all dance majors. And we're going, like, 5, 6, 7, 8. And chug! 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Crazy. And then taking a sip from our juice box. From our lunch. Like... Crazy. So... And what were y'all going to do with all this drunk energy y'all had? Then what? What did we do? I don't know. We probably went to a park party. Yeah, I went to a park party at Northfield's in Bayview.
[00:28:41] And so, we used to go and, like, make these huge bonfires. And, like, then the cops would find us. And then we'd run from the cops. And then we'd just go to somebody else's house. Oh, my God. Yeah, youth. I miss it so much. I can't even... I got so many stories for college that I don't even remember. Because of these moments like this. Where it's just like... You're in the mode, right? You're with people. The partying is happening. Everybody... The energy is good. Why not live a little and have a few drinks?
[00:29:08] It looks like Lacey was trying to keep up with the bandmates. But that is not something that I would suggest. These rockers do this stuff on a daily basis. You can't compete with them if you have not been putting in the work. And she gets very, very drunk. Brandi M is also drunk. And Heather is just annoyed. Because she doesn't want to be associated with Lacey's drunk behavior. And we'll also see that Heather is very hungry throughout this episode as well. And so, yeah.
[00:29:37] The two of them have gotten really drunk. To the point where it gets bad. Like, Lacey kind of pulls the maneuver she does with Dallas on Brandi M. She even poured the alcohol on her head. She poured that bottle of Grey Goose on top of her. Yeah, I think that Brandi was like... She was drunk. And she noticed it. But I think that she still had a slight bit of sense yet not to knock her out. Like, she still was able to think about it. I think it's true.
[00:30:07] She grabbed... And it was the big bottle of Grey Goose, y'all. It wasn't like the little one. It was like the one that they put, you know, that they bring out for bottle service. That kind of Grey Goose bottle. Brandi M grabbed it and threw it and broke it on the ground. Like, shattered it after Lacey poured it on her head. I just like, Lacey, Brandi... I just felt like this is it. This is the moment Brandi's going to hit her. But she didn't. She tells her, that Dallas strategy is not going to work with me. And Lacey says, just go fucking hang yourself. Not my second time that I gasped.
[00:30:37] But this is not a great thing to say, Lacey. Yeah. Not a great thing to say. No. But I did gasp because Big John comes in. He's like, everybody shut the fuck up. That's what I... He told them, shut the fuck up. I'm taking you out of here. And he basically has to carry Lacey out the door. Jess is annoyed because she, of course, had the good sense to not get super drunk. Lacey is so tore up.
[00:31:06] And even Heather is starting to question, is this all a part of Lacey's plan to one day come after me too? So you know it's bad when Heather and Lacey are starting to divide. And by the end of this episode, I don't even know if they're still going to be at Alliance. Well, kind of what happens though, if you see somebody... If you're staying a little bit sober and you see someone a little bit drunk, it's kind of like their true colors come through in a messy kind of way. And so I think that because she wasn't drinking and on the same level as Lacey,
[00:31:36] that she was able to see Lacey a little bit separate from herself. And so if she was getting as tipsy as Lacey was, they'd probably both be antagonizing Brandy and Jess. And like they both would have been doing it. But I think because Heather was just with it, she was able to kind of notice that Lacey is a little bit manipulative. Like she could turn on me. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. She climbs her drunk ass on the next bar where they are.
[00:32:04] And she starts crawling around on the bar, getting in people's face. Jess says she looked like a cracked out cat. I had to write that down. I will be putting it into some show that I wrote. But like, yeah, I did. Where did I put it? Crawling across the bar like a cracked out cat. It's a good line. It's a good line. Good enough for me to write it down. Yeah. Jess is trying to tell her to get off the bar. Lacey's not having it.
[00:32:33] Jess is like, get off the bar. Have some class. Act like you guys are sins. And Lacey's like, I don't know. And she's crawling. And she tells Heather, you know what? Heather is just a fucking bitch. And then she falls off the bar. Not the second time, I guess. But it is happening. Actually, they can cast. No, I don't know. Did it pass? Anyways, we'll keep going. Yeah. If it did pass, you can always circle back around to it.
[00:33:02] So Brett shows up for dinner. He's like, oh my God, what has happened? I left y'all for 15 minutes. And y'all got like this. He just wants to have a good, wholesome dinner. But all the girls are messed up. Lacey immediately passes out at the dinner. At the table. And the only one sympathetic to her was Jess. Which was, it was nice to see that like even the demon can be taken care of by somebody else.
[00:33:28] But, you know, a lot of people, when people are nasty and mean, they kind of are happy when they're in a kind of shitty place like that. And so it was nice to see that Jess is actually probably a nice person. Would you have helped Lacey out after all of y'all been through this entire season? Yeah. You and I are not the same. You wouldn't. I was just sitting there. I sat there and ate my food. I sat there and ate my food. Oh, Lacey's falling out y'all. I don't know what to tell y'all. Because that lady has been harassing people all season.
[00:33:58] It's your turn, Lacey. Good luck. I don't know if you would. I'm telling you. In the moment. Oh, yeah, I would. Because I believe that we were both Cancer Risings. Cancer Risings is actually a nurturer. I forget that you have my birth chart better than me. Yeah. But here's the thing. Yeah. I think all of my Aries-nessisms might cancel out whatever nurturing this is for somebody who has been harassing me.
[00:34:28] Because there's a lot of fire signs in me. And I don't know how nurturing I can be after a certain point. That's true. But, you know, your rising is cancer like me. My instinct is to help. But my body would be like, absolutely not. You sit your ass down. Sit down and eat your food, okay? Me and Chappelle would be looking down our plates and refusing to take my... Exactly. Especially in Vegas. Like, Chantel said, the food is good. I'm not finna... Lacey girl, get up.
[00:34:57] That's all you go get. I was in Vegas. I went for my very first seafood boil. Oh, okay. Did you get one in New Orleans too? Or no? I don't think I did in New Orleans. I think Scali got one in New Orleans. I wish I had. Yeah. But yeah. New Orleans, I didn't do it. I didn't go back. I didn't do it well enough. I didn't do enough. But it's probably because there was too many of us. And it's hard to kind of plan things. You know what I mean? Coordinate. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:35:24] But next time, I need to do more New Orleans food hall and more ghost tours. That's what I kind of... Yeah. Oh, yeah. The ghost tour was so fun. That was so fun. That's a podcast for a different story. Or a story for a different podcast, I guess I should say. So I do think we missed my second shocking moment. Go for it. And it was when Lacey was kind of pressing up against Brandy. Oh, yeah. And she was like, what's one?
[00:35:54] Let her loose. Get away from me. I farted. So Lacey cornered Brandy against the wall. It was all in her face. And then Brandy's drunk. Like, Lacey, get away from me. I'm going to fart on you. And just like forced. I think they needed to. They should have bleeped that out. But like, I don't know. I was like... I was just so shocked that I got to hear it in its full glory. Yeah. That was before Lacey... I mean, after Lacey poured the bottle on her head. So I think she had it coming.
[00:36:24] So yeah, I definitely wouldn't have helped. I'm sorry. I'm not... Not... No. No. I wouldn't have helped. So Brandy is upset. But Heather says, okay, cool. Lacey's out. One down, one to go. She is not really sympathetic at all. So Heather is offering Brandy M an oyster. And you know, this is not up my alley at all. I have a shellfish allergy. I do not play these games. And when I do, it don't work out for me. And so Brandy M's like, I don't want a fucking oyster.
[00:36:54] I don't like them. They make me sick. And Heather goes, oh, really? And next thing you know, Heather is just like mashing oysters in Brandy M's face. Like slurping them down and like dipping it in oyster sauce and all this stuff. I know with how drunk she was. She was having one of those early hangovers. You know, when you're super, super drunk. And before you can go to sleep, you don't have to wake up. Your headache has already started. She's already... The room is spinning. She's drunk. All the smells are getting to her.
[00:37:23] And Heather is slurping down these oysters. And you can just see the sickness on her face. I was like, oh, she's not going to make it. And next thing you know, Brandy M is throwing up everywhere. Just skewer. Sir gasp. Yeah. This is... I didn't really care for oysters when I did eat shellfish. They were fine. But I get it. When something you don't like, something is almost like repulsive to you.
[00:37:50] Even seeing other people consume it is disgusting to you. I don't like watching people eat a bunch of... Like plenty of stuff. Such as? Um... The one at the top of my list is sour cream. I do not like seeing people eat sour cream. If I... I was like... It makes me feel unwell. Like, stop putting that... Stop ruining your tacos. You know? Stop it. They don't deserve. Yeah. So that makes me like sick to my stomach. Could be because I have an intolerance to yogurt. And so I may have told this story before.
[00:38:19] But when I was about two years old, I remember being in the daycare and having strawberry flavored yogurt. And I got so sick. And I just remember just throwing up and just like... So I never had yogurt really after that. And then I remember when I got a little bit older, you know, I got lunch money and I'm going to the food court in high school. I got something that had tzatziki on it. And I'm like, it tastes good. And then I got really, really sick.
[00:38:47] Like, I was like, oh, and I learned that tzatziki is like garlic yogurt. And I was like, okay, we know that yogurt and me aren't good. And then I had an audition for a yogurt commercial. And like, they never make you eat real food in the auditions. I'll deal with it on the day. And so like, they did. It was strawberry flavored yogurt. And I was like, I took like a tiny little bit. And I was like, okay, help me God. And so I just take a bit. I'm like, whatever I had to do for the commercial audition.
[00:39:14] And then after like, it can feel like my inside just like were crawling. My heart rate sped up. I could projectile vomit if I wanted to like on demand. And so I'm just like, I just not going to risk it. So I won't risk it with sour cream because like, it's in that same family of nasty tastes. And like, and knowing what yogurt tastes mixed with barf, it seems like the worst combination. And so whenever I see anybody like, mmm, with their yogurt, I just think, think of what that tastes like barf. And it's not for me. Yeah.
[00:39:43] I don't like none of that shit you named. I can suffer through tzatziki if it's only a little bit. If it's only a little bit. Like, I don't need to be at it. Like, it needs to be mixed in there. Like, I can't even, I don't need to really be able to see it. But no, I'm with you on that one. That would make me sick to my stomach. Especially if you've been drinking a lot. Just, it's the smell. No, I want, just yogurt's not good. Like, the smell of yogurt's already disgusting. Yeah. Remembering it with barf, sick, sickening. So I can understand her.
[00:40:09] She really has an aversion to oysters that like, that could make her blow. Yeah. And once again, Jess comes to the rescue. And Jess says, Brett should have known it wouldn't be possible to have dinner with two drunk Fruit Loops and a hungry stripper. Because that hungry stripper never stopped eating. Heather asked, was like, I'm not bothered. I'm hungry. Heather's, Heather's an Aries.
[00:40:37] And Jess probably is a cancer. Or maybe she has cancer placements. But I bet you Jess might be like a waterside that has some nurturing energy. That would be my chances. She went straight to it. What's the, you know when the dates are for Aries birthdays? Of course. End of March, most of April. Heather is a Taurus, it seems. She's May 5th. Oh, okay. But Taurus, okay. Okay. That also makes sense. Okay. I'll tell you why.
[00:41:07] She's very much a bull. Taurus likes food. They like things that taste good. They like being satiated. They like comfort. You know, they like, they probably like clothes and materials. Like they like things that are satiable. And so that does make sense that she loves food. Like my brother's a Taurus. You can't put food around him. And like, like, like if I try to touch it, like, you'd like slap my hand basically.
[00:41:36] So Taurus is usually likes their food. Okay. Okay. And your comforts. And do we have Jess too? October 3rd. Okay. So it's probably because she's so pretty. That's Libra. So Libras, they're ruled by Venus. And they tend to be, in my opinion, very beautiful in some sort of way, just because Venus is their ruling sign. And they usually are pacifists.
[00:42:04] So they don't like any sort of conflict. So they're conflict diverting. They like things balanced. They like justice. And so this actually does make sense with how Jess was kind of navigating the situation. She doesn't want to fight. She's watching. She's trying to break the two up. She's trying to separate things. So instead of her being nurturing, maybe she's just like avoiding conflict here, which is a very Libra thing to do. So, okay. Yeah. Well, she comes to the rescue.
[00:42:34] And Brett is a fan of that. He ends up telling her that that gets her a lot of cool points. He said he found it very heartwarming, you know, to see her like that. And so this was a good move from her for sure. The other heartwarming moment Brett has with these girls is that while Brandy M is throwing up, she's sick, her head's in the toilet, but she looks up lovingly at Brett and she says, oh no, I love you. I'm so fucking in love with you.
[00:43:00] I just have a hard time letting my guard down, but I'm ready. I'm ready to be vulnerable with you, Brett Michaels. And that's it. That's all he needed to hear. She's going to be the one. You can tell. Now, I like, she was probably telling the truth, right? Or like a little bit. Like, I don't think she probably felt love for him. And like, he's taking care of her in this moment. And, you know, drunk words or sober thoughts. Is that the saying?
[00:43:30] That's what they say. I don't know how I feel about that. But that's definitely what they say. I mean, you've been truthful when you're drunk before, right? But I've also been a dirty liar when I'm drunk too. Like, lie-lie? What? What do you mean lie? I love you? Oh, I'll say that to anybody when I'm drunk. Are you crazy? That takes no effort. No. The berries are a liar. When I'm drunk? Oh, yeah. Blame it on the alcohol.
[00:44:01] Yeah. Nah. Whenever someone says that, I'm like, oh, y'all haven't seen me drunk. I'll be like, I fucking love you. We're all going to be best friends forever. Right? And I saw where I'm like, I'll be over me. You're already talking about their contact information. Chantel, get out of my brain. Get out of my brain. Because that is definitely me. What? I'll delete all that shit. Oh, wait. Before we move on, did you say Heather's birthday was May 5th? What did you say? It said May 5th, 1975.
[00:44:31] That's our mascot's birthday, isn't it? Yeah. Sego de Mayo. That's mascot's birthday. I wonder if he knew. I doubt he knew. But whatever. That's good news. Good information for sure. We have to do a tie-in. Maybe he needs to go as Heather for Halloween. Like, I don't know why that's a tie-in. Did you, what did you think about Heather's drunk confession to Brett? Brandy's. I'm sorry. Brandy's, yes.
[00:44:58] I thought that she was being more vulnerable there. I don't actually think that she is in love with him. I do think that she might have loved him just for, you know, taking care of her for the most part. And like, you know, she's been spending time with him. They've been making out. And so it's like someone she's dating. And so there's probably some love that she has for him. But I don't think she's in love with him. Hmm. So these drunk thoughts are not truthful. Not all the way, at least.
[00:45:29] Not fully truthful, maybe. Bless you. Thank you. Okay. So, yeah. So maybe a great look for Brandy. Also a great look for Jess. Not a great look for Heather. You know, she never really stepped away from her food. She was annoyed by the drunkness and clearly hungry. And so she never helped. And so it is Jess who will get to experience that one-on-one date with Brett tonight.
[00:45:58] And they connect physically, mentally, and sexually, Jess tells us. They do have a connection, though. Like, I'm not interested in Brett at all. But like, they do have some chemistry. I like, I don't, I'm not repulsed by them kissing. They're not so sensual. He seems like he likes him. So does she. So, yeah. I know. I love how she, I'm like, I do love a leftover.
[00:46:28] Like, I love a, let me decide if I don't want it later. Yeah, for sure. I don't want to be like, oh, I wish I brought it with me. Like, I'd rather decide later that I don't want it. Um, I felt like this was Brett and Heather. I mean, Brett and Jess admitting that this was the first time that they were intimate together, like sexually. Uh, and so for that, I wonder. Like, I don't know. I don't, I don't know if I could have, if I would have thought Jess would have gone all the way this early on.
[00:46:57] Because at first she seemed so guarded. But yeah, her having sex with Brett in this episode really does make it feel like she's all in. She's definitely all in. And. Because Brett said I got to know her inside and out. Ooh. Okay. Yeah. In a biblical sense. Did he say that or you said that? No, I said the biblical part. He said inside and out. And then she said they connected sexually as well. So I was like, oh, y'all was out there getting busy.
[00:47:25] Do you think all the way or like third base? No, I think, I think, I think there was, I think this was it. I think this was it. We didn't get the New York moans. But I think this was it. They didn't, they didn't make it clear. Well, that's what I'm saying. That's why I think we got the two confessionals, right? Brett saying I knew her inside and out and her being like physically, mentally and sexually. She's doing like shy stuff. Like, yeah. She said, and that's all I'm going to say about that, you know. Oh, okay. Okay. Actually, maybe. And that's all I'm going to say about that.
[00:47:53] It would indicate that there's more to talk about. Yeah. Because I think, you know, when we saw, let's think back to like Goldie and Flay, right? We know Goldie didn't do anything and she came back and she immediately in the confessional was like, you know, I didn't want to do that. Blah, blah, blah. Whereas New York is like, we made love and it was beautiful. We made music. We made music. We didn't fuck. We made music. You know, it's a very different energy. Well, you know.
[00:48:21] Do you think that New York and Flay would ever run it back? It's hard to know, right? Because why would you want him to open that same wound? That same wound. That same wound. Like 20 years later. Chantel, the more we talk about these shows, the more I'm like, do we need to just rewatch I Love New York again? Maybe at the end of this, we revisit it all where it all started and just wrap it up there. I don't know. But yeah. Maybe it's like, how do you feel now after?
[00:48:49] It's like, you know, now that you know more, it's kind of like, I don't know why I'm picturing this, but in Titanic, how she's telling the whole story of her life. She's like, it was 80 years ago. I was so different when I first saw it. I was so young. I was so young. So innocent. Yeah. Now you're like. I didn't know. You made music. Yeah. Yeah. Big time.
[00:49:20] Yeah. So just stays the night with Brett. And the next morning he says, okay, you can go back to the house. I'm going to finish dating these other girls while we're here. Now, Chantel, how do you feel about that? The person who he had the most connection with and potentially physically, you know, based on what they were alluding to, he sent her away to go spend time with the other girls. Yeah. I mean, that's why these shows are so nasty. Like, it's just like, like in like The Bachelor, they have like the fantasy suites and like,
[00:49:48] they just have some alone time without cameras. But like, everybody knows that people are sleeping together. You know, the final three here. And like, I wouldn't hate to be the first one. Right. You know, out of the final three. And then like, I slept with him and then he has two more dates where he's likely going to sleep with them. I'd be like, it just makes our time feel that special. And he's even sending her back to the hotel. He sends, he sent her back to LA. Yeah. He sent her back to the house. Yeah.
[00:50:18] Yeah. They got to go get massages with the hot rocks the next day. I would have been pissed if I was just like, y'all did what? I love a massage. Get in there. Get work. Cause I got my shoulders. I be having the things. I get them rocks, you know, get the oils. Let go in. Oh my God. I would have been so disgusted. I'm going to have a trip. When we're getting the, our, our, our, our medicure pedicure, they did bring out hot
[00:50:47] rocks for like calves. I love the rocks. I love the rocks. Yeah. I don't got problems. You got to step on my back. You got to walk. You got to work me. You know what I'm saying? Like, I, I, I'm sorry. Like, was it in like a girl that you date that she's able to like step on your back? Oh yeah, absolutely. You have to want to step on my back for sure. Like that's, that's the thing. If you're like, I don't really like, Hey, this ain't going to work out.
[00:51:14] At the same time as we're building Brett's, you know, horny meter, we should also be creating your ideal girl. Yeah. Number one on the list. Will you step on my back? Yes or no? Okay. Will you step on my back? If you're like afraid to step on my back, oh, I might hurt you. Hey, this is no place for the week. Get out. Yeah. Get out. Step on my back now. Okay.
[00:51:44] So the next day, the remaining girls are still hanging with Brett and Lacey smells of blood in the water because before they got to Brett, Brandy says, you know what I've been thinking? I woke up in the rockstar lifestyle. It's just not for me. I don't think this is it. I don't think Brett is the one. Do I like him? Yes. But is Brett Michaels the one for me? I don't think so. Why? Why? In her brain.
[00:52:14] Chantel, help me rationalize. Why she would say this out loud. Demon one and demon two. To demon one and demon two. What? I think. So sometimes, actually, most of the time, if I drink too much, the next day, I get the booze blues. Oh, yeah. And so I get, you know, I'm not a sad person, but I get kind of sad.
[00:52:42] And I start thinking like there's probably, so she's might be thinking like, oh, he doesn't even really like me. And he likes these other people better. And like, oh, I don't want to put myself out there. And like, oh, I probably embarrass myself. And like, you know, she's probably going down the laundry list of like how badly she's feeling about herself because of the she's coming off. She's coming down from the booze.
[00:53:04] And so I think it was just like a chemical imbalance, we'll say, that was causing her to think negatively about the situation. And it just so happened to be in front of the wrong people. You said that blaming on alcohol again. She was probably still a little drunk. Everybody know how I feel to go to sleep drunk and wake up drunk, you know.
[00:53:35] Even once the hangover happens, yeah, that too. But also pre-hangover, if you still got that alcoholism, you might say or do something you just shouldn't be doing. I don't care if she hated Bret Michaels. It is the wrong move to tell Demon 1 and Demon 2 because they're like, yep, it's a wrap. Pack her up. Let's get her out of here. Hey, okay, she's done. Yeah, they, man, it's just like they gave her, she just gave her the keys. Like, here you go.
[00:54:05] Here's Lacey. Just do what you want. And so, of course, Lacey. I think it was also self-sabotage, right? Oh, yeah. She doesn't think she deserves nice things. Exactly. And like, not to say that any dancers, they might have that, you know, thoughts. But I've met many dancers that have a little bit of low self-esteem or whatever. And so, maybe that was just coming through in this moment that like, maybe she could think, I believe. Well, we'll get to it then. We'll get to it later. No, but that's a really good point. That's a really good point.
[00:54:34] On the surface level, it does look like she made a mistake. But honestly, if you bring it like by talking about that, right? We know how she's like, I got six more months and then I'm ready to go back to a different life. You know, maybe she just, you know, started to question if she's good enough for him. You know, if she's going to be at a hang. Because look, she did look a mess, you know? And so, she's like, oh, maybe I'm not good enough. She started questioning herself. So, yeah.
[00:55:00] And a lot of times when people overdrink, it's like to get some liquid courage and to like, you know, appear to be fun, to hide any nerves, to look cool or whatnot. And so, yeah, I kind of got the best of her. Yep. And she knows Heather and Lacey are probably going to throw her under the bus. To Heather's credit, she did not. She goes in there. She does her massage. She's talking to Brad. And she's really trying to make that moment about the two of them.
[00:55:31] And she's like, yeah, I'm not going to waste my alone time with Brett to make it about Brandy. But afterwards, while Brandy is having her date, she does go to Lacey and make sure she airs it out. She starts gassing Lacey up. And so, Lacey, when it's her time, we just see her sitting in there like, and let me tell you what Brandy M said. She says she doesn't love you. She doesn't like you. She wants to go. And Brett's like, what? But that's completely the opposite of what she just told me while she was in here. Chantel.
[00:56:02] What's she doing? Well, I think that she was having regret for being open. I think that she is second-guessing things. She's questioning her worthiness. She doesn't know if she can hang. Like, I think it's all of the above kind of conflating into her not wanting to go. But like, just she's self-sabotaging for sure. Yeah.
[00:56:30] And Brett doesn't even know whether or not to believe Lacey because Brandy just came in here and told her a completely different story. And Lacey's been so conniving throughout the entire season that Brett's kind of like, are you lying? Is she lying? Oh, you're asking Lacey. I thought it was back to Brandy. I was talking about Brandy, but yeah. When I asked. Lacey coming in there? Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. But yeah. Lacey comes in and he's airing her out. I mean, she's airing her out saying that, oh no, Brandy's lying to you. That's not what she told me and Heather this morning. She does want to leave. She doesn't want to be here.
[00:57:00] And Brett says, but I don't know if I can trust Lacey. Because Lacey be lying. Lacey be lying. Lacey be lying. If I were Brett, though, I would be able to piece together what happened, I think. Because when they had her conversation, she was being kind of vulnerable. She was being influenced by the alcohol, influenced by the hangover, all that stuff. I think Brett's the smart guy. He's been drunk many times.
[00:57:26] And so I think he still understood where Brandy was coming from, even if Lacey was telling the truth. I think that he could filter through what was going on. He even told Lacey, what if she's just playing you? What if she just wanted you to think that, you know, to throw you off? And I'm thinking, well, Lacey, this is your fault anyway. Because the reason why he can't believe you is because your ass has been doing shit like this all season. And so now, when you're being sincere, nobody trusts you. Cry wolf. Yeah.
[00:57:56] Yeah, Lacey, I really wish, though, I mean, obviously not for the show and entertainment purposes, but like for a dating show that like she just focused on her relationship with the man at times. Because like, do they connect? Because like she's actually always talking about somebody else or her reaction to something that somebody did or did to her.
[00:58:19] Like, I don't even know much about her or their connection or their relationship, really. Yeah, no, she even kind of says in this episode that they haven't even really had a one-on-one date. And even when they do have the group dates, she's definitely making it out like, you know, about the other people. Right? Lacey Mack has a question in the chat. It says, didn't Brett eliminate a girl at the very beginning because she was boring and didn't drink? He did call a girl boring before, for sure.
[00:58:49] Um, so yeah, for him to now be at the point where it's like, you know, I guess Jess was drinking. I think, you know, all these girls were drinking, but getting to the point where you're a sloppy drunk falling out. I think at that point you're like, there's like a limit. You don't get that on TV anymore, though. That's the one thing. Uh, we need to drink it back. One and a half drinks now, you know, it's like. Crazy. Um, so Brandy gets sent back to L.A.
[00:59:15] Um, she knows she messed up and she knows Lacey threw her under the bus. Now, Lacey and Heather finally get their dates with Brett. They go get all dressed up because he really wants to get to know them. And, um, he asks, uh, Heather, why does she think they would work? And she talks about how they have the same kind of soul. They're very similar. They like the same things. Uh, they're two peas in a pod. And he's like, yeah, I like Heather.
[00:59:41] I'm on the fence for falling with her because he can tell, um, she does bring him some doubts. And he says, uh, he has pole emotions. Chantel, are you familiar with pole emotions? No. He says pole emotions are when you think to yourself, can I get her off the pole and onto my pole? Uh, because he's like, she is a dancer and his song, every rose has its thorn was about how a dancer broke his heart.
[01:00:11] And so he's like, I don't want her to be closed off emotionally to me because she's out here dancing for money. Uh, you know, and using what she got to get what she want when I want her to be my girl. And so, uh, he is concerned about whether Heather is ready to leave the strip club to be, uh, Mrs. Brett Michaels, or at least Mrs. Rock of Love. Well, then he better provide her a life that's going to make her want to get off that damn pole. That's how she's supporting herself, her life, her lifestyle.
[01:00:41] Um, if you don't want her to be doing that, then start by taking care of her financially. That's what you're going to do. And then see what she wants to maybe pursue. If she wants to be doing any work on her own. And like, there's like a different, I don't know, start a clothing line or I don't know, something like support her in doing some sort of business venture, whatever, outside of working in a strip club. If that's what she wants. Yeah. I agree with the chat. Um, Lacey and Chad saying, I think Heather could be intimidating to a guy like Brett. And I agree.
[01:01:11] I think Heather is so cool. Somebody that can make their own money and like has a command of herself, command of her body. She's at least a man, a man. Yeah. Yeah. She's not, she's not chasing after Brett crying all over him. Like the other girls are. She's not telling him like, I've been hurt before all this other stuff. She's not doing any of that. He says, well, you're a dancer. She said, okay. She's very sure of herself. He said, what if I want to bring women in? She's like, okay, I'll kiss them too. Uh, what if I, what if I want you to get a tattoo? Okay. You know, it's like, she's like, she's down for whatever.
[01:01:39] And I think he's used to kind of being more in a controlling situation. Like with people like Jess or people like, uh, Brady or Sam, he had a really good connection with Sam. But Sam was all like, Brett, I don't know. I'm insecure. I don't know. And we just saw how close they were. Heather's not insecure about anything. And I think, I think that like makes him wonder if she is being honest with him when she says she's really into him or if she could just be saying that to anybody. I, that's, that is a little bit true, right?
[01:02:08] Like you, you don't a hundred percent know your, you might be afraid that you, you're not making a clear minded decision, but I do think that Heather really likes him. But I can understand the fear. I can understand the fear. I think, I think this is a Brett issue. Brett needs to figure that out on his own. This ain't got nothing to do with Heather. That's a you thing.
[01:02:33] If you can't, um, if you can't handle it, then that's not, then she's not the one for you, but that's a you, that's a you issue. You know what I'm saying? And like, realistically, like, I know I'm saying like bankroll her life if you want her to get out the pool, but like, you kind of also can't expect to change somebody, right? Like, like you kind of have to accept her the way that she is. And if then she decides that she wants to stop dancing or whatever, like, that's another thing.
[01:02:58] But he kind of has to decide that he's willing to take the risk that, you know, she might break his heart. Um, yeah. And while they're getting into that conversation, Lacey interjects because of course she got to make it about her. And Lacey says she's never even been on a one-on-one date with Brett. All of her dates have been shared. And Heather's like, okay, well, me and Brett have the biggest connection. So I don't know why you're making this about you.
[01:03:26] And Lacey finally says, uh, like, can you even see yourself with me, Brett? And he says, you know, I'm going to try to put this into words because he was really just kind of rambling. He said, you know, your seesawness in your manipulative venenism-ness. Um, you know, I just don't really do good dating manic depressive girls. And Lacey had to defend her mental state. She said, she's like, I'm not a depressed person.
[01:04:04] Huh? Oh my God. I can see it. Like, she's doing the things. And, uh, she's like, Lacey is so good at playing Brett because Heather ends up losing out on the big date. And Lacey is the one he chose to go have a one-on-one night with. I think producers might've stepped in there. You think so? Well, like, well, I guess, like, can you really send the girl that just like talked about her mom back to LA? I guess not.
[01:04:33] I mean, unless you were just like, you need to go spend some time alone because you obviously are broken up about it. But no, I think she, she opened up, you know? Uh, and then to, to his point about Heather, she seemed like she'd be okay. Like, I think if you send Lacey home, she's going to take it harder. I think you send her, Heather home, she's going to bounce back. And I think, or at least she's not going to give you that damsel in distress thing that New York would give you. Right? She's not going to give you what Lacey's going to give you, which, Brett, oh my God, why are you talking to me? You know, Heather's just going to go.
[01:05:04] And so he's kind of like, shit, all right, you'll be okay. Uh, yeah. I just, man, it's, it's cool. It's funny because I had never thought about it like this, but now that I'm watching, I'm like, man, maybe, maybe Heather does have one up on Brett Michaels. He's just kind of like, I don't know what to do with you. Um, maybe he isn't, he's maybe not dealt with anybody that is not like more enamored by his fame and celebrity status. Like she actually can hang. Yeah. And she, she gets the fame part too. Right. It's not even like, she's like indifferent to it. Right.
[01:05:33] And she's like, yeah, I'm down for all of that. He's like, nah, but you, everybody can't hang. She's like, I can't. It's like, but you know, sometimes there are other women. Okay. And sometimes we'd like stay out and drink all night. Okay. And then sometimes I, I don't know. I'll get tattoos. She's like, she's too cool. Yeah. I think she might be a little too cool for him. Huh? Um, so Heather loses the date. She says the Alliance with Lacey is officially over.
[01:05:59] And, uh, if Lacey gets in her way, the ship will hit the fed, but Lacey is pleased that Heather was left alone to eat by herself. And, um, she goes on to tell him, like, oh, I don't know. I don't treat people like this badly in real life. And I'm glad you get to see who I really am. And then they find themselves on a bed with pedal, like rose pedals on it and all kinds of stuff. Um, you think they, you know,
[01:06:25] I was watching how she walked after. It was a walk. I was curious after the walk, but I wasn't sure if it was the shoes. It might've been the shoes. But I wasn't sure. I wasn't sure. Right. And she does not allude to it. Brett doesn't allude to it either. But like the, the rose, the bed, the bed had rose pedals on it. You know what I'm saying? Like it's suggestive walk and that, and that walk.
[01:06:53] So more, more to come maybe potentially. Uh, so, uh, Brett says in the end, he's basing his choice on his gut feelings. And so as they approach elimination, Jess feels good. Brandy says she's afraid of getting her heart broken, but she does want to stay. Lacey says, Brandy doesn't want to say, and she should go. And Heather says she's been getting the shaft and not in a good way. Uh, and she's sick of it. She's sick of it.
[01:07:19] And so, um, yeah, Jess gets the first backstage pass. Uh, Heather says she doesn't care about Brett at all. Uh, uh, uh, Heather, I'm sorry. Jess never cares about Brett at all. Jess never has. And she never will. Do you think Jess cares about Brett? Yes, I do. You think she's here for the right reasons? Typically, Libras are always looking for relationships.
[01:07:46] They, they, that's, that's kind of the direction they're always going towards. They, they're, they're never usually out of a relationship for very long because they, they, they want to connect with people in, in that romantic way. So I do believe that Jess is interested in him, especially by the chemistry that I've seen on the show. Um, yeah. And her demeanor in general. Yeah.
[01:08:13] Um, the person who gets the next pass is Lacey. Am I not sure? Yeah. Yeah. It was Lacey. It was Lacey. It was Lacey. Yeah. Um, and Jess does not like this. She says she wants to jump over there and rip that pass off of Jess's neck. Um, that's, this is one of the reasons why I think that maybe that walk talked. Uh, yeah.
[01:08:40] Because like, could you, could you have somebody that you were laying in a bed of roses with, uh, you know, send them home right after? Right. Or not have them picked right after, you know what I mean? So, uh, I wonder if that's also one of the reasons why she was called second, because I do not know if he's fornicated with Heather. Okay. All right. Well, yeah.
[01:09:07] So it comes down to the final two backstage passes and, um, yeah, this is crazy. Cause Brett said he learned so much about them on this trip to Vegas. He said he needs to find out if Heather really wants to get serious. You know, she wants to be a girlfriend. Uh, and Heather is aghast because she told Brett that Brandy told Brett that, you know, she, she was in love with him. And that's a lie. Brandy already told us that she was not in love with him. And so Heather is not having it.
[01:09:37] She speaks up. She's like, nope, that ain't what Brandy said. Brandy don't love you. And then kind of go back and forth a little bit before Brett asked her point blank, you know, like, what's up? Do you, do you want to stay? And Brandy kind of mumbles something. It was very lazy. She's like, oh, my guard is up. He's like, what did you say? She says, I don't, I let my, my guard is up and I don't think I'm going to let it back down. And so, um, yeah.
[01:10:06] Um, Brandy M is the one eliminated here. Were you surprised? So I think that he was going to eliminate Heather here. I kind of think so too. And Heather could feel it. And so she, he's just like, let's just remind Brandy about the fact that like, firstly, she was saying that she could, she could picture me and Brett together. That's one of the reasons why she felt intimidated by being there. So like just reminding Brandy of all those things.
[01:10:33] Um, and Brandy didn't want to hang anymore. Like she didn't want to fight for it anymore, uh, at all. And I think it's, I think she got, maybe, maybe she got a little scared of Heather. Uh, cause I don't think Heather would have taken it that well if she left and Brandy stayed. Yeah. It could have been an interesting, uh, confrontation maybe. I agree with you. I think that, I think that Brett might've been about to eliminate Heather. I think this might've been her time.
[01:11:01] She, she might've saved herself by throwing, uh, Brandy on the bus a little bit more because the idea that she didn't have her throw Brandy on the bus was already, already kind of interesting on her part. Cause Lacey wasted no time. Uh, but yeah, if Heather goes here and Brandy like next week decides, you know what? I don't want to be here. That'd have been tough. Okay. Cause it does seem like Heather is suited for this kind of thing. Um, so Brett. I found that Brett was pretty nasty kind of though too. Oh, he hated this.
[01:11:28] Like I didn't really like how he kind of was mean to her. Like she's still a young girl. Like she's 24 or 23, maybe like she's very young. Yeah. They're babies. She doesn't necessarily know what she wants and she's on TV in this like crazy TV show. And there's girls that want, will do anything to get with you and she's not in her element.
[01:11:57] And she's probably still hang hung over. Like, I don't know. I thought that he was like, it's a little too over the top mean. It could be for the camera, but to me, it's, it showed kind of bad character. Yeah. Um, I get what he was saying because let's say he is really taking this seriously and he is trying to find someone who's in love with him. Then he doesn't want Brandy being like, probably that too.
[01:12:25] But let's say he is looking for love and then she's like bold face lying to him. Like, I love you so much. And then going back to the girls and being like, I don't love him. You know, like he don't want to, he don't want to look stupid either. Um, he doesn't want to look stupid for sure. Yeah. Like, and I think that that's what was fueling the way that he was coming at her. Yeah. And she kept lying. His natural instinct just was just so like nasty. Yeah. She kept, she kept lying about it too. Right.
[01:12:51] So when he calls her on it, she's like, well, I said that the next day after I woke up, you know, I was all hung over or whatever. Um, and he's like, but you told me at the pool that you, that you did not say that. She's like, well, that was after I was like, he's like, no, when we were at the pool after the massages, you told me that you was, you were still in. So what changed? And she doesn't really have an answer. Heather put her on the spot at that moment and she didn't know how to defend herself. So she bowed out. She folded.
[01:13:21] Yeah, she folded. Uh, she couldn't stand by it. What she should have said is I lied to Heather and Lacey. I do want to be here. That's it. Or, you know, or whatever. Or I was having second thoughts at the time and changed my mind. I don't feel that way. I was drunk. I was hung over. I was sick, like you said, uh, that, that, uh, post drunk night kind of, it takes you there sometime. And I think that's understandable. Uh, but because she was trying to like cover it up, like, well, it's not exactly what I said. He kind of, he was ready to let her go. He says, I don't care where you go in life. You're a beautiful girl.
[01:13:51] And beauty is only skin deep. If you mess with other people's emotions and I am not the one who jaded you. Um, and she gets the boot. Gets the boot, but hers reaction. Somebody jaded him. I guess it's every rose has its sword. Yeah. Yeah. That's it. Maybe you just want to write another song. Sad, sad song. I mean, yeah. Okay. I definitely think when it comes to Heather and Brandy, he's looking at them as people who could potentially push him to writing another sad song.
[01:14:20] I think, I think he can see that for sure. Um, Lacey said, you can convince me that every other, every one of these people here, uh, is true for love, but you cannot convince me that Bret Michaels has super fans in 2007. Lacey, they weren't even, they had been like fan for four years, fan for, I was like, that is, there's no way you've been a fan of poison or Bret Michaels for four to nine years in 2007 and call yourself a super fan. That's gotta be like rodeo is a super fan. Okay. I feel like rodeo was there day one. I feel like Heather and her mom were at the concerts.
[01:14:50] You know what I'm saying? Like day one, you can't tell me these ladies popped up in 2007. Like in 2005, I discovered poison. Like that, that just didn't happen. Um, so yeah, that's it. Brandy M is gone and she goes out crying. Um, you know, she says she wishes she could have opened her heart to him, but obviously she fucked this all up. And Bret tells the girls right then, if anyone else wants to leave, there's a fucking door.
[01:15:16] And, um, he says, if you, if you wake up tomorrow and you feel like, okay, this ain't for you, tell me and I will help you pack your bags. Immediately lately, Lacey says, oh no, if I, if you're there, I'm staying. Heather says me too. And then he goes to Jess who doesn't say anything. He says, Jess. She's like, yeah. He's like, are you good? Good. Like, are you here? Here? She's like, yeah, I'm here for you. He says, okay. And so we give out the final pass to Heather. And now we're down to our final three.
[01:15:43] Do you think we should be looking into the hesitation from Jess in that moment? Um, um, I'll say no, because they're always like, try hard. Like, you know what I mean? Like, she's always a cool girl. That's like not trying that hard. And so I would say no, just to be interesting. Okay.
[01:16:12] Well, let's find out next. Next episode is meet the parents. And so, uh, I believe this will be the last episode before we get the clip show and the finale. And so, uh, we have to find out who brought us these women. And as you speculated, Chantel, we will be meeting, uh, Mr. and Mrs. Lacey as well. Or Mr. Lacey. Unless like this was a step-parent. Maybe like a step-mom. Yeah. We'll be meeting her parents.
[01:16:42] Her parent, uh, will also be meeting, uh, you know, Heather's family as well. Jess. Uh, and this is a staple. We always meet the family around this time, um, before we get to the finale. And so, uh, who let's make your prediction now because we won't be able to make it next week. Of these three women, Jess, Lacey, Heather, who is our final two?
[01:17:08] I think the final two will be Jess and Heather. Okay. So you think like a Sister Patterson style exit for New York going on? Like just, it comes in and you're like, like your mom, I hate her. Oh, cause New York survives Sister Patterson's visit to Flav twice. Twice. But nah, I don't think Lacey will. Okay. Interesting.
[01:17:35] So Heather and Jess in the final two could be fun. Uh, I'm very excited. I do not remember this episode vividly. And so, uh, I'm so excited to watch it and find out more about what happened. And then obviously Matt Scott is on standby, um, to prepare for the reunion in two weeks. Uh, so we'll do next week. We'll do the meet the parents episode. The following week, we'll do the clip show and the, uh, final two. And then the finale. Oh, yeah. And the finale and then the reunion show.
[01:18:04] And then that's it for rock of love. We're so close. So close. So we're going to know in two weeks who wins is hard. If anybody. Yeah. If anybody, uh, so, uh, we'll be back in two weeks to do that. But until then, um, I think we need to talk about scheduling too. Cause I think next weekend is crazy for me, but I think I can still make it happen, but it is going to be crazy, but we'll talk about that. Um, yeah, we'll talk about it.
[01:18:31] But until then, tell everybody where they can find you and what else you have going on. You know, at ShanFranFran on Instagram, I have a YouTube channel called Reality Realness with three S's. I've been covering the challenge season 42. Um, and I think that I'm going to cover one of the, like the, maybe the, maybe new traders new blood. I'll be covering. Oh. With the Chappelle new blood over here. Maybe. You let me know what you need. Uh, you know, you.
[01:19:01] You volunteer plenty of your time over here. So it's only the least I can do is to volunteer my time for you when you need me. So that may be coming soon. I feel like there might be a couple other shows that I might want to do some coverage on. Um, I think maybe love Island all-stars might be starting up soon, or I could be making that up, but I will be calling it covering any UK love Island that starts up anytime soon. So yeah, that's it. And then I'm on like RHAP every once in a while talking about live feed updates.
[01:19:30] Uh, lots of shit's going down right now, which was crazy. Yeah. 13 hours plus. Oh. Fun season of big brother going on. You can catch me talking about that on RHAP as well. This week on RHAP, I'll be joined by Miss Felicia to talk about big brother on big brother unlocked. We'll be recapping that. Um, so that is a good time. You'll catch that next this Friday coming up, uh, every week I'm talking about why blank person lost big brother every week with David Bloomberg.
[01:19:58] Uh, but, uh, we've got so much coming here on recap kickback. So Mari and I are still covering, um, we're covering, um, snowfall as well on Tuesdays. So you should, or I think we'll be dropping those episodes on Wednesdays. So you should get those soon. G and I are doing our, why did I get married series? We're watching all the, why did I get married movies back to back to back. And so those podcasts will be dropping for you weekly, uh, for the next three weeks. So you should be getting that Thursday content.
[01:20:26] Um, as we lead up to, um, G and I covering Abbott elementary in about a month. Um, so that'll be fun. Uh, and then, um, yeah, Chantel and I are here still doing flavor of love rewatch. Oh, and a different world is coming to Netflix and we'll be talking about that season. Yes. And I'm so excited and I'm so ready. So we're going to check out all that here and more on recap kickback.com. Make sure to subscribe to the podcast recap kickback.com slash subscribe or here on YouTube,
