[00:00:17] Welcome back again to Recap Kickback. It's me, your host Chappelle and I'm here again to take you through another week in black entertainment, news, media, television or whatever else we want to talk about here on Recap Kickback. With me as usual, my co-host, I won't read her a tagline here on the YouTube page, but Mari. Who Mari talks too much is here y'all. Ladies and gentlemen, Mari.

[00:00:43] What up Chappelle? We're back. We are talking Tyler Perry again. We back baby, back in the house y'all. TP is back. It's always a fun time. Always. I think we're reclaiming Tyler Perry here on Recap Kickback. We really are. We came in, we're like, Tyler Perry's making, like this is a mockery of film and da da da da da da.

[00:01:11] And now we're just here for the vibes. We're here to have a good time and we're here to talk about the return. The return of Beauty in Black, y'all. Beauty in Black is back on Netflix. We covered season one, well part one, last year in 2024. And then at the end, we were given a shocker that 2025 there will be more Beauty in Black. We've been given eight more episodes. And to talk about episodes nine and 10, the first two of our second batch of Beauty in Black episodes, we had to bring back the

[00:01:42] Our Beauty in Black. Our Beauty in Black. It's Matt Scott. I hate you so much. Why am I here? Why am I here? You're wearing black. You're beauty. I'm so pissed that this happened the first time, but I'm like also obsessed. I've been obsessed. You begged us to come back. We had to. I'm talking about you so bad.

[00:02:03] It was a good time. It was such a good time. What mess. And it's so funny, Chappelle, because I'm like, when I think of Tyler Perry, I don't think of this. I think of, you know, Medea. I think of the, you know, just church lessons, all of that. It's just mess. I love mess. I'm not a mess magnet, but I love mess. So we do love mess. Happy to be here. We do. Happy to have you. Happy to have you back. Yeah. If you didn't catch on, catch our last review of Beauty in Black, please go check that.

[00:02:32] That's one of my favorite podcasts. Sometimes I just get really, really, really, really, really buzzed. And I just listen to us laugh at that because it was a healthy laugh at one of the most absurd things I've ever seen on television. And now that we're back for round two, we've assembled the gang again to talk about it and to get into the rest of the shenanigans from Tyler Perry's, I guess, hit soap opera. Mari, I've been seeing a lot of people talking about Beauty in Black now.

[00:03:01] Oh, really? Oh, yeah. I mean, at this point, everything's up in flames. We might as well get our laughs where we get it. OK, it's to the point where this this show is so overdramatic that it is just truly funny. Like I'm sitting here watching it and I was like, damn, ain't nobody happy. So like there's not a light moment ever.

[00:03:26] It's always somebody yelling and cussing at somebody saying, oh, you are you horrible motherfucker, like every two seconds. And it's just like, you know what? I'm going to enjoy the campiness of it at this point. We're here. This is what we're doing. No, I have just a comment on that, too. I feel like there was a shift like from the first half. We were laughing, but they were laughing a little bit along with us. But then it just got like Kimmy gone wild is where we are.

[00:03:56] Kimmy turned into the equalizer out of nowhere. Yes, season five. Yeah. Oh, you just got to talk about Kimmy. Oh, my God. It's funny, Mara, you mentioned everything's burning down. And here we are trying to enjoy this ridiculous show. I saw a Facebook meme that was like the world is going to shit and black people just want to keep learning line dances. And I was like, honestly, I felt that because if I see another boots on the ground, TikTok with these fans, what am I saying? I was like, we we don't have no control now.

[00:04:25] We lost the election. Everything is crazy. Let's just get into some Tyler Perry, Matt. That's what we got. Yeah. No. Call up Kamala. Have her join us next time we cover this. Like it's all it's all good. But I'm pissed. I just have to bring up Chappelle. I'm pissed that you haven't watched episodes 11 and 12. Like just to talk about it. Mara and I did watch those. We did. We'll get there. Yeah, we'll get there. Yeah, I watched episodes nine and 10.

[00:04:53] I haven't had a chance to watch 11 and 12, but Mario and Matt are going to lace us up on some of the things to come when we come back in a week to discuss our full season overview of of Beauty and Black. And we're going to come back with a lot of a lot of comments, a lot of concerns, I'm sure. And so if you have any of those, make sure you leave them in our YouTube comments here on YouTube. RecapKickback.com slash YouTube or YouTube.com slash at Recap Kickback. We'll get you there. And then you can make sure you subscribe, hit that subscribe button.

[00:05:22] We're over eighteen hundred followers right now, I think, or subscribers right now, which is great. We're trying to get to two thousand. So keep those coming and make sure you support the podcast so we can bring you more shenanigans. Because, yeah, once we get through this, we're going to have to find something else wacky to talk about. And Tyler Perry has been delivering lately. So I don't know. Mario, this might be the time to tap into other soap operas. Uh oh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You know, it's coming up. I'm about to talk.

[00:05:46] I will tell you at the end a new black soap opera that I think everybody should check out and that maybe we'll come back to and talk about as well. A scondalo. We love a tease. We do love a tease. And then maybe some wrestling soap opera drama as well. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But let's jump in to Beauty in Black.

[00:06:09] Matt, last time we talked, you told me a story about how you were watching Baddies East and Midwest. Midwest? Yeah. It was Midwest. It was, wait. Chappelle. It was the Baddies Midwest casting special. Yes. Matt, what you did not, what you did not flag up is that one of the stars of Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black is a cast member on Baddies Midwest. Did you know this? No. So I was looking.

[00:06:39] So it's, don't look at me. I wasn't, I might, I wasn't watching Baddies Midwest. Maybe. But I did recognize this other person. If you could just check out our screen share here. Who? Beauty. Beauty is actually T from Baddies. Body. Body. Beauty. Body. It's T from Baddies Midwest, Matt. So from what? From what? From your favorite show. Yeah. She was cast directly from there.

[00:07:06] I saw it in the YouTube comments on our last comment, on our last video. Yeah. So look at that. More Baddies comment from Matt. We need to get more Baddies content from you. You want to be our Baddies correspondent? Yeah. Yeah. No, I know Chappelle, you have some connections, some potential co-hosts, all that. People let us know if you need me to watch Baddies Midwest. I love the casting special more than I like the actual show. That's what I hear. Because I feel like there's more beat downs. You know, it's like pro wrestling, except Mari, you would hate the casting specials.

[00:07:36] I'm sure I would. I hear literally just hair pulling and fight her so you can get on and all that. But I watched all of it. Right. Of course. That's why we hired Matt, to do the hard-hitting journalism here. That's right. For all the Baddies. But when we last left off here on Beauty and Black, Kimmy was down bad. Her sister Sylvie had gotten sex sold away by the strippers at the strip club, Delinda

[00:08:06] and Body. They've finally been fed up with Kimmy. And they're like, look, you have trifled with the wrong ones. Your sister is now going to be a sex worker, just like you are at her tiny wee age. And so there's nothing you can do about it. Which is crazy because Kimmy didn't even like do anything to them. She still has not done nothing to anyone. She did nothing to anyone. Kimmy is innocent in all charges until episode nine. Well, yeah. And it's like, don't mess with her sister.

[00:08:34] Which, by the way, just to recap from episode eight, I'm just laughing at the fact that that car door was open and the sister didn't jump out. And now we don't know where she is. So, or maybe we just find out who knows. So we come right back to Kimmy, which was the cliffhanger, ramming her car into body, pinning her between her car and another car. And Chappelle, for like two seconds, I was like, are they trying to imply that body lived after that? I thought body survived.

[00:09:05] Maybe the actress just forgot to like stop moving. She forgot to fall down and die. I don't get it. I mean, honestly, like, I didn't realize that like, because we do see body die. Officially spoiler alert. I don't know how that, like, is that how you die? You get rammed into a car, you're alive. And then you just keep going on the gas. And then eventually she's dead. I mean, so.

[00:09:34] I kind of don't know about that. Medically, Mari, could you? You're a scientist. Right. Yeah. When you move the car, that's when you die? Stem queen. So it's like signs, right? That's what everybody's thinking is like signs. Like, you run the car into somebody's lower extremities hard enough. You probably crush all of that. Like, all of that pelvis regis area is probably crushed. Like, I don't know how that silicone, like, maybe could have absorbed some of that impact. There probably was some shock absorbent there.

[00:10:04] There probably was a little bit. Yeah, but she just kept hitting that gas. So. Well, I thought what you were getting at is that she had silicone poisoning that, like, the implants popped and then it just. I mean, I'm sure that happened too. I'm sure. I mean, all of the above. But body just dropped to the ground and then they sped off in the car. I mean, that sounds very death worthy, especially if, like, you don't get to, like, an ambulance doesn't get to you quick enough.

[00:10:31] Even though all them people saw it, I don't think anybody really called anybody. There were, like, 15 people watching. There really was. It was hilarious when it just zoomed out and you just see the whole place. So, yeah, I guess she did. She did. That makes sense. She did. Yeah, and this is the start of Kimmy's actual villain origin story. From day one, we've been hearing. Is it? You don't want to mess with Kimmy. I mean.

[00:10:59] I mean, they've been saying, you don't want to mess with Kimmy. She's the baddest. Like, if you ever trifle with Kimmy. Like, I've never seen somebody who can get as mad as Kimmy. Kimmy, Kimmy, Kimmy. And this whole time I've been like, Kimmy got her ass beat at least eight times. A couple times. In the first eight episodes. I mean, just, like, wake up, ass beat him. Just for no reason. Just because she existed. So, I've been waiting for Kimmy to get mad. Kimmy mad now. She mad. She big mad. Yeah. But she's rightfully so. But rightfully so.

[00:11:26] Like, her and Angel are now on the hunt for Sylvie. And quite frankly, I was waiting for Kimmy to just pistol whip Angel. Because Angel. What? Oh my God. What? Angel is acting like Kimmy's being irrational. Right. Kimmy, we can't drive over there. Why not? Well, because, because you can't, you can't just call Jules. Why? Well, we can't go to his house. I'm like, bro, get out of the car. Get out of the car. I want a mission to save my sister. You're not helping. Okay. Wait. No.

[00:11:56] Okay. I have a different opinion here. Angel. Angel's good. Angel's solid. Angel's good. Kimmy is losing her. She's done. She's losing her. I don't want to curse this to her on the podcast. You can't touch IT. She's losing her shit. Like, what is she doing? Because she doesn't have like the brain. She doesn't have the strategic mindset for all this. He's the smartest woman. She's the smartest woman Angel has ever met, man. He said so himself. He did say that, didn't he? Wow.

[00:12:27] That's, I know. I'm like, what? That's really sad. The bar is in hell. I'm just like, it went, she was just like, to drive. Like, she turned into like Charles Bronson from Death Wish. Like, she just, and the subsequent moves that she continues to do. I'm like, do you want to find your sister? No, clearly not. Well, she gets, there's so many roadblocks.

[00:12:55] She says, okay, I need to find my sister. We going to that old nigga house. He's like, we can't go to Horace's house. She's like, okay, fine. Call Jules. We can't call Jules. Okay, well, can I go find the little, well, this car can't make it over there. I'm like, all right, goddamn, do you, are you trying to help or not? That's true. Which, the car didn't look that busted to me. It broke down. Well, I mean, it broke down because she again rammed it into Body's body. So. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:13:22] I'm just saying, ironically enough, that's how Kimmy was supposed to die. It's okay. Handed that ambulance, you know? Yes. It was supposed to, like, we questioned if that was a viable murder, you know, weapon. And obviously, yeah, side of a car. I mean, going back, like alternate universe, if that did happen, where would we be now? If Kimmy got killed by the day. And Kimmy got murdered in broad daylight. Yeah. But Kimmy was literally outside of a hospital. I feel like they could have, like, did something. They could have saved her. They could have helped her.

[00:13:55] I guess. Yeah. But here, Kimmy is on the hunt. She has to find Sylvie because she knows that Delinda and Body have probably taken her and, you know, are using her for some type of, like, you know, sex trafficking, human trafficking. Exactly. Can I just bring this up, by the way? Sure. It was quick. Like, she was like, oh my God, she's being sex trafficked. And it's like, it's been 15 minutes. She just left. That's so serious.

[00:14:24] But it's been about, she just left. That's the part that I'm confused by. You know what they say about the first 48. You know, she has, she got to get in there while you can't. The first 48 minutes. Yeah, the first 48 minutes. The hottest 48 minutes of sex trafficking. Yeah. Yeah. She's on the way. She's got, she's got, she's got to go figure out exactly how to track, uh, how to track Sylvie down. And at one point she's going to have to call her mom.

[00:14:52] Now we know Kimmy's mom is the worst. Kimmy's mom is the absolute worst. She's, she basically gave Kimmy away, dropped Kimmy off at a Walmart and just dipped because, uh, her boyfriend was trying to touch on Kimmy and she had to choose, she chose her man over Kimmy and now it seems like she sold her daughter away for a vehicle, for a car, you know, a car. Now her daughter's in. What kind of car was it?

[00:15:20] It wasn't even a new car. It wasn't even a new car. It was a used car. It was so boxy, the car. It wasn't, it wasn't modern. It wasn't, it's not Bluetooth compatible. You're like, ma'am, you're going to sell your daughter away, at least get heated seats. What is this? What is this? Like, lady. Literally the two people who deserve to get smoked didn't even get smoked. I was like, shoot her, like, to the mom. Shoot her.

[00:15:50] Like, and they didn't even, but she calls the mom, the mom's a dick and, and there's nothing. Kimmy just goes off the deep end. Yeah. Yeah. So they have to go get a car. So Kimmy and Angel stopped by, I guess, a chop shop at that point to kind of go get a car. And this is where she's playing phone tag. Yeah. This is where she's playing phone tag with her mom. She's trying to get her mom to give her more information. Of course, her mom is like, you lied to me. You're not a nurse. You're a stripper. What happened?

[00:16:19] It's like, lady, you dropped me off at Walmart. How do you? Standards. Like, what's wrong with you? Are you serious? That's what you have a problem with. Of all the things, you worried about what I do with my career, and you just sold my daughter away for a vehicle. Fine. Also, she has to call Rain, because Rain is the only person who really has her back. Rain is still in the hospital. Still. From the ghetto BBL. How long has it been?

[00:16:49] That's what I'm saying. Time. It's probably been about one day. Realistically. It's been a few days. Because remember, okay, let's track it. It hasn't been that long. So, Leti got hit on the private road. What? Episode one. I'm assuming. Right? So, episode one. Since then. Yes. Since then. I'd say it's probably been about a week. Probably since then. I would say. Yeah. Maybe like a week and a half. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:17:18] Because you got to think. Like, we've seen Horace and Angel at least try to do something sexual twice. Yeah. Like, at least twice. A little more than that. Right. So, it's probably three times. So, yeah. And that's night time. We've seen a few night cycles. Yeah. We've seen a few night cycles. It's been about a week, Matt. I feel like you need to watch back and count the nights. And they need to do what they do on Survivor. Like, day one. Day two. Like, keep it on the screen for us. Just to keep up. But, yeah.

[00:17:47] It's been maybe about a week, a week and a half. Wild. I might give them two weeks. I feel like there's been a few nights. Two weeks. Okay. Let's give them two weeks. 14 days. Not great. Not great. Everyone's spending episode nine and basically episode ten trying to reel Kimmy in. Because I don't know if y'all have heard it, but when Kimmy gets mad, she's just, she's unstoppable here. She's so goofy. Yeah. She really is.

[00:18:17] It's like they keep telling us that this woman is deranged or that she has like a switch. And again, I'm just saying, the level of anger that Kimmy has right now is reasonable. These people have beat your ass several times. They have sex trafficked you and are now sex trafficking your child sister. It's okay to want to shoot somebody in the face. I think that's like about normal as far as I'm concerned. They're acting as though Kimmy at the slightest inconvenience could just snap.

[00:18:45] And that is just not the case, Mari. For the most part, she hasn't done anything to anyone until now. No. Exactly. Like she was like legit, like taken. She was like taken beatings. And she finally just kind of blew her top. But it still was a little excessive. I mean, just for what she was trying to do. If you're trying to find your sister, killing literally everybody who knows where she's at

[00:19:13] just does not help in that endeavor. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, in theory, I don't know if they're going to tell her anything. But, you know, Kimmy has her own journey, Mari. Honor Kimmy's journey. She has to kill a few people who know stuff. Like she'll figure it out. She didn't turn into the Terminator. Except for when a man hit her. Every time a man hit her, she did go down. Yeah.

[00:19:42] I ain't never seen her buck up to no man, as Devon would say. But she had all the smoke for Body and then eventually for Delinda. So she finally finds her. I don't want to breeze too far past the conversation that she has with Rain, where Rain repeatedly tells her, don't get angry. Don't get angry. You're going to get so angry. I know the way you get angry. She's angry. She's mad. She's mad now. And she pulls up on Delinda.

[00:20:11] And I didn't even know Kimmy had a shotgun. Wait. But yeah, where'd that come from? Where did that come from? I don't know. But I like it. I like that she came in with the shotgun. Now, the fact that she wanted to fight Delinda, I didn't really. Underreported. Kimmy can't really fight. She had to drop on Delinda. This should not have ended like this. Okay. That's a whole other conversation about whether she could fight. We'll get to some of the other fights. I think she has some moves.

[00:20:40] She has some moves. It's pretty impressive. She gets her ass kicked a lot. But she could take a punch. That's about the only thing she has. But that's pretty good for her. Strong job. Yeah. That shotgun was big. Like, how did you think? It was a sawd-off. That was a sawd-off. Yeah, a sawd-off shotgun. She came in there like it was the walking dead. I said, Kimmy! When she's interrogating Delinda, and Delinda says, you wonder woman wannabe motherfucker. I said, all right, you got to kill her.

[00:21:10] You got to kill her. And, spoiler alert. She does. Mari, what was the... Where did she say Sylvie was? She said she's getting fucked by a bunch of truck drivers? By a bunch of truck drivers. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that was the last thing she said. Which is honestly, like, probably a good clue if that's true. And that's what I was thinking. I was like, okay. Oh, we got to leave that place. And yet they went to no truck stops.

[00:21:39] They went to like... They said, take me back to the motel. And me and Angel both at the same time said, what? Like, why would you go back to the crime scene? It didn't make sense. I was like, okay, maybe she gave you a clue there before you killed her. Yeah. Like, you could have hit her with the butt of the shotgun first. You know, try and get some more out of it. No. All right. Sure. But bus stops. And what's the... Where's the closest, like, car stop at?

[00:22:09] Like... Truck stop. Where do truckers be at? Where Denny's? You know, like, I'm pretty sure you can find... Exactly. Yeah. She didn't go to none of those places. She didn't go to no place where there would be people being sex trafficked. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Kimmy's on... She's on a murder spree at this point. There's just two bodies. This lady's a serial killer. Well, no. Not yet. Oh, wait. Do you need a third one to use? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. All right. She's currently a spree killer because she's on a spree. A spree killer.

[00:22:39] She's on a crime spree. But you get extra points for killing someone named Body. Right. That's a body in a... She turned Body into a body. Yeah. Bodies and bodies and bodies. Right. Kimmy tells Angel, I have the power now. The power to kill. Oh, my God. Kimmy. Kimberly. Yeah. She wants to go back to Horace's house. Obviously, everyone keeps telling her she can't do that. And that's when she finally tells Angel, get out of the car or leave me alone.

[00:23:08] Like, get out the car and leave me alone or drive. Like, you cannot be doing both things because he really is in no position to be negotiating with her. This lady's crazy. You just watched her murder two people, Angel. The fact that you're even still in the car is wild to me. I would have been like, Kimmy, girl, here's the keys. Good luck. And then poor Angel. Well, we'll talk about it. She calls Angel a nervous little bitch. Is he not?

[00:23:38] I mean, he was acting like a nervous little bitch. I mean, relatable. Things were happening. I mean, yeah. You can't help it. Yeah. She's unhinged. She really is. But like, again, who? How can you blame somebody like Kimmy? Like this situation, I'm telling you, burn it all down. She ends up telling Angel that she needs to drive about two hours from Chicago to visit her mom because her mom is the one who sold her sister away anyway.

[00:24:08] And again, Kimmy comes in on a, yeah, she got the gun now. Do your thing, Kimmy. Bow. Kimmy gets slapped up. I was like, damn. Kimmy, we had so much momentum. Like, why didn't she go in there with a shotgun? She should have shot him just out the gate. Like, just come in the door, shoot him. Just off rip. Off rip. First of all, nobody leaves their door locked. Like, what? Yeah. She just walked in. What's up at my house? Maybe she still got a key. It's a trailer.

[00:24:37] Or she probably isn't. It's a trailer in the middle of nowhere. They probably don't got a lot. But she had it. And to my point about her being a decent fighter, I mean, did you see that back? That spinning back fist with the frying pan? Yes, but she didn't follow up. Her follow through needed work. She only hit him one. If you hit a man in the face with a frying pan and you still lose the fight lady, I'm going to have to start victim blaming. Like, lady, hit him again. Hit him harder. It was a frying pan. Did you lose the upper hand?

[00:25:07] Hit him in the back of the head. That'll sound like a light. She had a shotgun. She had a shotgun. She does. She gets style points, if you ask me. She had a shotgun. In my mind. In my mind. Because we know she has been abused, or at the very least, at least ogled by her stepdad, a.k.a. like her mom's boyfriend. I don't think she can come in and shoot him without repercussions. You know, like, just shoot him. Without any. Just do it. Just shoot him. I feel like you owe him that much. At the very least,

[00:25:37] I thought that's what she was going to do. Right. He may have touched your sister already. I think that's ground for just like, I don't know if you did, but let me go ahead and just shoot you just in case. Let's shoot you in the leg or something. I really thought she was just going to roll in there and shoot them both. She didn't, again, she didn't bring the gun. Angel brought the gun. Yeah, what was her plan? Yeah, what was her plan? I don't know. To just go in there and yell at them. Like, I don't understand. There was no plan. She's stressed.

[00:26:06] I get it. I get it. And then when Angel get in there, she's like, shoot him. No, girl, that was you. You should have shot him. Yeah, I don't even know him. I gotta start killing people too now, Kimmy? Because you, because these are your problems. I'm like, I didn't even ask to be here. His name is Angel. Like, he can't kill people. It's not on brand. I don't know. He's been doing a lot of stuff that angels aren't really just known for, so I don't put it past him. I did like how, after he comes in with the shotgun,

[00:26:36] she says, I'll get you if it's the last thing I do. It's like, Kimmy, you get the gun right now. It can be the next thing you do, Kimmy. It really can. She left. She left. Wow, that's wild. Yeah. Angel tries to explain to her several times over, you can't keep killing all the witnesses. Like, you know, like, I just don't understand why you think that's a winning,

[00:27:06] a winning, like, strategy for all of this. It's really not. She wants to go back to the motel, which again, why? What could you possibly want there? She said, I haven't slept in days. Well, baby, we can't sleep there. You killed a lady outside of there. I'm sorry. We can't go back. But, um... So dumb. But yeah, but she eventually ends up telling Rain everything that happens. And it feels like, for the first time, Rain is the person here with the most sits. Rain is kind of like, all right, everybody slow down.

[00:27:36] Maybe we can ask people at the club if they know what's going on. You know, she actually tries to devise a plan, where it's just, Kimmy has just been shooting and running around aimlessly. Um, so, by the end, we see that, like, we know that Angel and Kimmy are looking, or I think Angel has to go to the club, right, to kind of go and scope out and find out if the girls know anything. And, uh, we have to see if Kimmy's able to pull that off with Jules and the rest of the gang

[00:28:04] on her tail, because there's a lot that's been going on with the Bellari family in the background. Uh, we saw our part one ending with this car that was shot up and burst into flames and blew up on the private road of all places. Um, and so, we have to find out what, what happened to dear old Charles? We see everybody's reactions at different times. First, we find out that, well, we see Olivia's reaction. Uh, Charles' mom,

[00:28:34] she's laid up. She got her little boot thing. Um. Which, I was like, wait, who is this? Like, I was, who is this man? Yeah, I don't, I don't, I still don't follow. I was going to ask you both. It, it don't matter. Okay. It don't matter. It, it doesn't matter. Um, she has a little boot thing and he, yeah, he, he thinks he's in love with Olivia. She informs him that, no, you're in love with my pockets. Uh, so, she,

[00:29:03] she's very clear. They're like, she's the baddest and he's lucky to have her and he, he tells her like, hey, Olivia, I love you. No, I love all of you. And she's like, yeah, don't be telling them other 20 year old bitches that too, you know, cause I'm the one. I was like, okay, this is for me, Debbie Morgan, have fun. It seems like you're enjoying yourself. You know, she's having lots of fun. She's having a good time. She's cussing people out in Tyler Perry, uh, TV shows. So let her, let her be, let her be. Why do you lied straight to her face?

[00:29:33] These, these little young bitches can never be you, Olivia. Like what? And she was like, yeah, I know they can't. Yeah, smoke your cigarette in bed. Smoking indoors. Yeah. Um, we also kind of get what's been outlined a few times over the series that Charles' death, uh, if it has happened, uh, would mean that there's been some foul play with the inheritance and the people's shares of the company. And, um,

[00:30:03] it seems like if there is foul play, if there's an unexplained death, then the inheritance can switch hands. But if there's murder from somebody in the family, it cannot. And so, um, very important knowing that we're getting phone calls from Norman and from other people saying, I mean, from Horace and other people saying that Charles is potentially dead. Matt, they found the watch. Yeah. Uh, and the, at the, at the scene of the crime. Yeah. in the blown up car and the,

[00:30:32] and the watch said from Charles, I mean, from Bernie to Charles. Now, I just feel like if they're having a secret relationship, maybe writing your name on the back of the watch. Plus, that's a lot of, like, a lot of text to get in into the back of a watch. Jules got, Jules got the watch. He said, oh, shit. Does Jules know at this point that this, that they, they have a relationship or is this his clue? Um,

[00:31:03] I don't think so. It was never addressed again. Yeah, I don't, I don't know if anyone really knows that. But first of all, it was so weird. One, weird to me that the car, that they left the car burning for so long. So long. I'm not a firefighter. But I'm just saying, they couldn't put the fire out. And two, why was everyone like, but maybe Charles isn't in there? It's like, why would you think he is this car? I thought everybody was like, yeah, I thought everybody thought he was definitely in there. They kind of did,

[00:31:32] but there was a little bit of like, but like, what, if it's not him, like, there was just a little bit of doubt from some of them, which I'm like, what are you doing? And then they, they eventually got to the point when they were all standing around and talking that they definitely thought he was dead. But I thought you would just assume that he was dead. Yeah. Horace asked the question at least five times. He's like, so Charles is dead? And they're like, well, his body is burning. It's like, but is he dead? He's like, I mean, he is in the fire. It's like, but is he dead? Tell me.

[00:32:02] You can tell me. Is my son? I was like, all right. the man said, I don't know. It's too hard to tell at this point. All right. It's looking like death to me. And there, we have to have a family meeting, of course, talk about this. Because we have to get all the players in the same room. So we know Olivia is on the way. Varney gets the call. He's probably the most distraught at the death of Charles, from my opinion. Do you agree, Mari, that like everybody else seemed like inconvenienced? But Varney, it's not like it hurt him. Like it hurt his feelings.

[00:32:33] Yeah. Everybody else is inconvenienced. Varney is like actually going through it. Yeah. Because in the first eight drops, Varney, Varney and Charles, like, break up because, you know, Varney wants to stay in. Charles wants to go out. And so, you know, Charles ends up going to the club that night to spite Varney when he runs into Salvo. So, yeah,

[00:33:02] Varney's distraught because he clearly cares for Charles, but they just can't get on the same page about their relationship. Yeah. So, so the family gets together and they're all speculating on what exactly happened. Olivia automatically knows off rip. This was Norman. Norman did this. He did this to get back at my, at my family because his wife was run over on the private road. And so, so she knows. He did tell her that

[00:33:32] straight to her face. Yeah. He did. She's like, I'm going to get you, sucker. And he did. So, so they all sit around and kind of talk about what this could mean, right? Um, there are moments where Norman and Jules are talking and he admits to Jules even. It was me. I did it. I shot up the car and I watched it burn and I loved it. And I loved it because I needed to get back at my evil brother. But you know who I'm worried about? Olivia.

[00:34:02] She's the one you need to worry about because that bitch is the real one, Matt. She's the real one. She's all. That was a quote. I've never been this afraid of old people. Like, that's my thing. Like, everyone is terrified. What if Norman shows up? All hell's going to break loose. It's like, there are 15 of you standing around here. But Matt, did y'all forget Norman shot up an ambulance full of people because they couldn't save his dying wife. Which was ridiculous.

[00:34:32] What'd you say? They didn't know all that, did they? No, I think they know he's capable of such. I think there's a lot. Yeah, there's a lot that happens that they don't. I feel like we don't get confirmation that they know it happened. I mean, it's kind of scary, but. I can't remember, but for them to be like, okay, Jules, Jules be cleaning stuff up, but I'm sorry. I don't know if he could have cleaned up that ambulance one. There was like, well, there's a well-renowned

[00:35:02] doctor there. There are all these people in the other hospital that saw them get in that ambulance. Like, I mean, I don't know. What did Mallory say? Money can make anything happen or something like that? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, I guess, I guess that you could just money it away. It's funny though, as crazy as Norman is, Norman seems to be afraid of Olivia. Olivia. And so, and so what Jules says, but she's always in the church. And I can't remember

[00:35:30] Norman's exact response, but it was like, there's not enough church in the world to unsend the sins that that woman would be sending on a daily basis. I said, wait a minute. What is she doing? So, we really have to be worried about what Olivia could do in this moment, but we don't have to worry much longer. Because, as the family sits around and kind of debates who did what, how, who's going to do it, who's going to get the inheritance, where the shares are going to go to. It becomes very clear that people, I mean,

[00:36:01] there's a non-zero chance that Charles is still alive. In fact, he's just at the apartment. Matt, were you surprised to see that Charles is not dead? No. Because, like, no. Like, maybe, just even the questions, I'm like, oh, this man's alive. I knew he was alive when the car was shot up. Yeah, I knew he was alive after episode eight. We talked about it. We did. We talked about him being alive. Yeah. It was very clear that he wasn't going

[00:36:30] to have his car. Apparently, this, uh, the stripper, rest in peace, stole his car, drugged him and stole his watch. Charles is not broken up about that at all. Thank you, fine-ass stripper, I believe he says. Just the Lambo. He would, yeah, I was about to say, he was really mad that he lost his Lambo. Yeah. That was, that part was kind of funny. The actor who plays Charles, he, he kind of hilarious because Varney's sitting there crying on the couch and Charles comes around the corner and Varney's like, what? Oh,

[00:37:00] he's scared. And then Charles's like, what? He's like, hi? Like, Like, he's supposed to be dead. Like, Charles could care less. He thinks the family don't care about him. The only person who loves him is Varney, but Varney not in the family anyway. Uh, and he doesn't have any issue letting the family suffer. Now, Matt, if, if your loved one was alleged dead and you found out that they were alive and just, just kicking it, I think at that point you,

[00:37:30] you could kill him. You've already agreed. Hold up. I thought you were gonna be like, how would you feel? I'm like, oh, wow. You're all laughing and joking and kicking and we all sitting around. I mean, to be fair, he's not pointing that much. They didn't see that. Yeah, they didn't see that broken up about it. Get their share. Horace seemed like, kind of upset for like two seconds

[00:37:58] until Charles actually showed up. Probably the most upset. Oh, yeah. I mean, because the thing is, Mallory was the one who called everyone and she's like a robo call. Like, there's been an accident. You have to come. But no, like no emotion. Like she didn't, she didn't care. It's her brother. Mallory been dealing with that, that family bullcrap. Yeah. She's known him forever and she did not shed a tear. She didn't.

[00:38:29] I think she was probably more upset that she would probably have to like do the funeral arrangement. You know what I'm saying? Like, there's always that person in the family who has to do the funeral arrangement. everybody else. Yeah. It's just useless. Yeah. We see a lot of Mallory in this episode actually like trying to keep up appearances because we know that's her whole thing. Yeah. So she goes outside with Roy and she's like, Roy, I'm about to stand next to you and pretend that like we get along together because your family's watching and he's like, what? Get away from me. She's like, no,

[00:38:59] you're going to hug me and act like everything's normal. I was like, I don't even think the family's looking at y'all. Yeah. I don't feel like anybody cares that y'all are outside about a pool. Yeah. What did she say to him? She was like, I love you not. Like, I don't even. She really was trying hard. Yeah. It was just another conversation. Damn. You, you, you're a cold bitch. Um, she, yeah,

[00:39:29] she's on a tight spot because she's kind of playing the middleman between both sides of the house. It's like, it's like Mallory's job here is to keep everybody calm. Um, she's like, okay, Jewel's on one side, Olivia's on the other side. Horace is on one side, Norma's on the other side. And the whole time, Mallory's like, you don't know if any of this is even a problem because Mallory's eye is on the prize. If Charles has been murdered, which we know that he is not, uh, they didn't know this yet. Uh, if Charles has been murdered by somebody outside the family, we can talk about those shares again.

[00:39:59] The money can get passed around. The, the, what'd they say? The language in the will, you know, expressly forbid somebody in the family for murdering one of the family members because they are, quote unquote, greedy sons of bitches. Uh, and so, if something happens outside the family, then we can salvage this. We can make this happen. And so, uh, she's doing that the whole time until eventually Charles just shows up shows up. And I really just don't think, yeah, I don't think they gave this

[00:40:28] enough gravity, man. Y'all been essentially grieving this man's death for about eight hours and he just walked in the house. Okay. First of all, you mentioned eight hours, the timing of all of it. Like we could probably figure out when he left the club. It was still night when they were all together. So it was probably, I mean, it was probably all of an hour that they were talking about the will and him being dead. You know what I mean? Yeah. And at one point, somebody said, why are you calling me at five? Olivia, when, when Malia and Olivia,

[00:40:59] she was like, it's 5 a.m. Why are you calling me? Okay. So maybe it was like, it was still dark out. So maybe it was like 6 a.m. when they were all at the house. What are they doing? But then he shows up and I just want to point out, isn't it wild how much these people stand? Because I only noticed it when Charles walks in and sits on the couch. This is a standing family. Do you, aren't you like standing families that just stand a lot? Just stand around. I'm from a sitting family. We sit around. Yeah. I was going to say, we sit, sit. We lay,

[00:41:28] we lay up. Every time you walk in, somebody got their shoes off and they lay, their feet propped up. I literally don't see these people sit. It's because they hate each other. Like they don't want to, they can't, they can't let themselves get comfortable around each other because weird stuff like this happens. Like why did your dad son just walk into the room and we all acting like everything is okay? It's not okay. It's not okay. Especially because Norman has admitted, all but admitted to murdering Charles. And so for Charles to walk in seconds later.

[00:41:58] Did you guys realize that they were like, where's Norman? Where's Norman? Where's Norman? Norman was in Horace's house the whole time. Did you know that? It was not an acrimony where she get on, how she get on the boat moment. It was just like Norman, when Norman was on the phone, he was like lingering around. I think he was lingering around in the upstairs part of our house. Yes, because you, Jules, they're like, nobody can find Norman.

[00:42:27] We don't know where Norman is. And then all of a sudden he steps from around the fireplace. It was like, what are you going to do about it? Oh, so he was in the house. Okay. Again, no one locks their door. I mean, it makes total sense because he should be enemy number one. He murdered your son. Why is he allowed to just walk in the house and just have a conversation about it? You know, like when we see him coming up the driveway, seats him, guards, you know, like why is he just

[00:42:57] able to walk in here? But no, you're right. He was in the house. They have this big confrontation where it's, it's basically coming out that this is all about money. We got Norman's side being like, yeah, I did it. I don't care. You know, first he lies and says he didn't do it, but eventually he just has to come clean. Like, no, I want to take credit for this because his wife is dead. He really is taking it out on the family that his wife is dead because he knows one of these people, one of these evil mofos killed his wife

[00:43:26] and got away with it. And it was Mallory, right? I was still trying to say. Mallory was the first one who ran over. It was like a double. Yeah, Mallory ran over first, then Roy back door and ran her over. Then they dragged her body into the house and threw it in the trunk and then they drove it to the tow truck yard where I'm assuming she died at that point. Like, I think she was alive. No, she was alive. She was alive at the hospital. She was alive. Oh yeah,

[00:43:55] they moved her. Yeah, when they moved her. Yeah, that last time she died. Yeah, so she went through a lot all the way out. When did she actually die? Yeah, she did. She died when they were moving her from the hospital because remember, she was in the hospital. She was still alive and they sent that nurse assassin in there to do something to her which still didn't kill her. This bitch has nine lives and it was literally the physical move from the one hospital to the other

[00:44:25] that killed her because he wanted to get her out of that one hospital because, you know, Horace had connections and he wanted to take her to another one and they said she is not stable enough for that move and he did it anyway. Yeah. So she survived all of that just to die in like the ambulance. But to be fair, the ambulance situation to me, that was justified. You know, if you kill my loved one in the ambulance, then I might have to like get rid of everybody. You know what I'm saying? Like she died. They didn't kill her

[00:44:55] in the ambulance. She just died. She died. That's what I'm saying. But because it was a wrong move to move her. I mean, I don't know. I see mad side. I'm just like, isn't that hard to keep her alive? Yes! You're medical professionals. Come on. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow, Mara's standing up for medical malpractice. Okay. It seems like it. Mara, why do you like malpractice so bad? You love malpractice that much. That was not malpractice.

[00:45:24] They told him several times that if we move her to the United States and they moved her. They moved her. So that was the malpractice. No. After you signed the consent and you've been warned, that's on you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was all bad. Sure. In the background, Mallory knows that this cannot stand. We cannot have the family feuding. Norman is going to be on a warpath forever and so we need

[00:45:54] to find a patsy. We have to find somebody to pin this murder on. Who ran over Norman's wife on the private road? Fast forward to the motel. Jules goes over there to find out what's been going on. Why is beauty dead? If there are any witnesses and who did this? And we meet Debo. Debo seemingly knows Kimmy. She's giving him a couple of dollars every now and then and he reenacts exactly what he saw. He said, yeah,

[00:46:23] I saw two women and they were fighting like pew, pew, pew, and like she was giving her the business and the other girl just rammed the car into her. He's like, who was it? It was Kimmy. Just completely just throws her under the bus. Jules is not a cop. He doesn't look like a cop. It's just there asking questions and Debo is giving up all the information and that's when Jules has the bright idea that, hey, Debo, you like drugs, right? Why don't we just get you really high? Yeah. So they get Debo really high

[00:46:52] and they somehow, Mario, and I'm not quite sure how, but they convince Debo to take the blame for running over the lady? Yeah, again, he's high, so. Very. I mean, but damn, on what? Yeah. Strong. They AI footage him, like. Which is, can we stop? Can we please pause on AI footage? Thank you. Matt. They say we have actual footage of these kids running over

[00:47:21] Norman's wife on the private road. I say impossible because I saw, I saw Mallory and Roy both run her over so I know there's no footage. And Mallory says, oh, well, you know, that's a lot of AI footage that we had to put together, but he old, he don't understand that. I love that. He doesn't know. Is that what we are now? How bad was it? How bad was it? Like, I want, I would, I need to see that footage. They need to put it on

[00:47:51] I need to see the footage. Social media, like just give us an extra and outtake shows how bad it was. Cause you know it wasn't good AI. No. Like, come on. It's probably like Debo's face on, on like Roy's body or something. Or it's like that, like random, like, like digitally, like, like that color looking, you know what I'm talking about? When you see something that's clearly AI. They, no, they did like, when we watched, what was it? Deepfake Love. Yeah.

[00:48:21] When they, they got a stand in to do the things that they wanted to do and then they just put his face over the stand in. Why, why do you need AI of a person getting hit by a car? Like, like I just, but see, I don't know if it was, if it, I don't think it was some, it was her, it was her getting hit. It was like him accessing the road. They're like, we have footage of him going to go and ride, like onto the road and going to go around it. So it wasn't like of her, of her actually getting hit. But you know, it was probably goofy

[00:48:50] and he probably like only had four fingers. Right. Like we know you, you know, really closely, but he, he don't understand it. That took me down. Mallory, what? It's like, yeah, luckily he's an old ass man. Mallory hates old people. She really does. Yeah. So, but this clears, this clears the Bellary family of this misconduct. And so now Norman is crashing out, but he don't know who to crash out to. He was. He's still mad. I mean, I would be mad too.

[00:49:19] Like it does like the fact that the family didn't kill your wife and some random people killed your wife. Yeah. It should give you a little bit of like solace, but at the same time, I'm still mad. Someone killed my wife. Right. Like, so, you know, well, technically he killed his wife. I mean, he did. Medical. He definitely had his wife moved when she was not strong enough to be moved. So, yeah, this was definitely his fault. So, yeah, Charles walks in and

[00:49:49] Eureka, we're all fighting for no reason. Charles isn't dead. We didn't kill the, we didn't kill the wife. No harm, no foul. We can all just go home now. Right, right, Mari? No, no, because Norman doesn't buy it. Now Horace is trying to, you know, now Horace is like, oh, well, Norman came for me. Now I gotta, it's like weird because Horace and Olivia are both mad at Norman and are trying to get back at Norman,

[00:50:17] but Olivia is still trying to get back at Horace. So it's, and then Horace, me and Matt will talk about it. I didn't understand any of Horace's moves by the end of 11 and 12. I was like, what, what is going on? So, no, this is not the end of this. It is just the beginning. Cause now it's open warfare. You bring up something that's so confusing to me, Mari with pro wrestling. We talk about like, we don't love the face versus face matches or the ones where it's like, who's the good guy? Who's the bad guy?

[00:50:46] I am so confused about who even likes who. I think all these people hate each other. And at one point there's a conversation somewhere where someone's like, this family is incapable of loving. And they're all just like, yep. Yep. Sounds about right. Yeah. Norman, Norman said, he said, I'm a, I'm a cold hearted something. And I got it from dad. Cause he knows, Oh, I'm a murderer because he knows that none of us, we all suck. Like I was like, this is not endearing for an audience.

[00:51:16] Like literally there's nobody to root for in the show. Right. That's the problem. That's literally nobody. Ooh. I mean, maybe like Charles. No, but then Charles goes into stupid shit. Yeah. Yeah. Not in this family. Kimmy, Kimmy, fine. Fine. I'm still team Kimmy. She dumb, but I like her. That's what I'm about to say. She dumb. I be having to yell at her. I be having to yell at her. I be having to shake Kimmy. Kimmy, Kimmy, Kimmy, baby girl, come on, keep up. Come on.

[00:51:47] Yeah, exactly. I just like this one thing Horace did though. Horace goes to talk to Judge Harrell. Now we've heard about Judge Harrell, Harrell a couple of times. He was apparently a part of this Monday laundering scheme, uh, uh, with the strip club working alongside Norman. Um, Harrell does not know that Norman failed at killing Charles. He thinks Charles is dead. And so when, uh,

[00:52:16] Horace goes to Harrell, he's like, yeah. So, um, I need answers because when was the last time you spoke to my brother? And he's like, Oh, you know, it's been a while. There's another, it's crazy. Cause he killed my son. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. He killed my son. And I'm like, Oh, okay. We're lying to him. But what information are we trying to get from him? Horace tells him, reach inside the cigarette box. I mean, cigar box and grab a cigar. Horace clearly waiting on Harold to make a move.

[00:52:47] Harold reaches in, grabs a cigar, but not that cigar. No, no, no. Not the Cuban one. That's been so gingerly wrapped in Columbia and shipped here. No, no, no. Reach over and grab that red cigar. And for the first time, since like, I don't know, 1999, I saw a stick of dynamite in someone's hand. I think I could read TNT on the side of it.

[00:53:16] This man pulled out acne pride. yeah, exactly. Horace made Harold pull out a stick of dynamite and smoke it like a cigar. As he threatened to light it. Which I feel like part of me, just the Tyler Perry of it all. Really? I feel like TP. Loves seeing Horace, like force that man to put something in his mouth. Like,

[00:53:44] I just feel like there's a little bit of a wink and a nod. Like, oh yeah. Cause we'll get to some other things. Horace says later, but. But also. Into that. Of course. Where do you get a stick of dynamite from? Like, like, like, where do you get that from? I just want to, I mean, I don't know. Why I gotta be so cartoonish? Like, you gonna drop an angle on it? And if you light that stick of dynamite, are you gonna light it in the runaway? Like, he said,

[00:54:13] what are you gonna do to stop me from lighting this dynamite? I said, I'd probably give you a hug. You might grab it. But if you light it, the little, the little wick has to burn down. Like, you're not gonna leave that in your mouth. That was a long wick. Did I do that? Yeah. Like, I guess I'll just keep it in my mouth. It'll take hours to burn. Do you not until I blow up? Like, you can't make me sit here with the, with my, Horace is terrifying. Harold was shook. He could not figure out what to do. Horace ended up stabbing him in the leg.

[00:54:43] And he's like, that's the nicest thing I could do to you right now. And in my mind, I was thinking. Oh, in the hand. Yeah. In the hand. And I was thinking the whole time, I just don't think you should have put the dynamite in your mouth in the first place. You know, what's he gonna do? Kill you. If he's gonna kill you, he's gonna kill you. The dynamite being in your mouth, not gonna save your life. I guess it kind of did, but I don't know. I thought that this kind of cartoonish villainy is what I like in a show, you know, but I'm confused because wasn't Horace just coughing up blood like two. It was a day ago.

[00:55:12] And now he's smoking cigars. I mean, I look, I'm just saying, I don't think that's great for the coughing up blood. Yeah. And can I just again, reiterate that they had to come up with this judge Harold character because Tyler Perry forgot that he could not make the brother both a judge and a chemist. And a chemist. Cause it didn't make sense. It didn't make sense. Morris said like, this is why you need, what'd you say? This is why you need script.

[00:55:41] You need line producers. Yeah. You forgot to fix, fix that one in post. Uh, Tyler. Um, so Horace is very interested. At some point he will go talk to Bernie and he really needs to figure out the legal ramifications of what's going on because we know there is a big takedown coming. Uh, this beauty in black company has been giving people cancer.

[00:56:10] The chemist did not know which chemicals give you cancer. So here we are trying to figure out how to protect ourselves from the business. And Horace is not a big fan of his kids, specifically Roy. Um, he tells, sorry, we didn't even talk about how Roy tried to make Charles's death about him. Like, Oh yeah. Go on. Charles dies. Everybody's in the house trying to figure out like Charles did and Roy over there.

[00:56:40] But y'all don't care about me, huh? No, what are we doing here? Like everybody's like, what if this happened? What if this happened? And Roy was like, uh, but you know, I, he said, I see how you looking at me. He said, what are you talking about? He's like, you looking at me like dad looking at me. He's like, what are you talking about? You wish it was me who died. He's like, sir, we are not even worried about you. And to make it worse, his dad, Horace goes, yeah, I do wish it was you. I actually do.

[00:57:10] I actually do wish it was you. Um, yeah. Horace doesn't like Roy. Oh my God. He says some weird things about Roy. He says, if Roy was broke and didn't have Mallory, he'll be sucking dick for drugs or just for fun. And then he adds in, disgusting. And before that, he was like, to Varney, he was like, oh, you don't need to kiss a man's ass. Unless you're into that thing.

[00:57:39] Varney said, Varney literally said, excuse me? He said, sir, what? No, he said, stop calling me, sir. Yeah. Well, yeah, he was in, which I feel like maybe he was a little into that, but yeah. Do you think Horace was hitting on Varney? I'm so confused with what Horace was doing to Varney. Like I was, he was confused. I thought he was going to say something about him and Charles. I didn't, I didn't know what was going on with it, with that,

[00:58:08] but I think he just ultimately wanted to know, um, the stipulations of the will. Yeah. And he lands on that he thinks Varney should have been his son instead. So, you know, that would have made him a lot happier if that would have happened. I don't like it. I don't like it. I feel like there's, I feel like we're going to come up to some, some weird situation. Like, I don't like the dad, dad, son play of it all. Like, it's not dad, son play.

[00:58:38] It didn't have to be like this, Matt. It didn't have to go there. Uh, I'm telling you, we have more episodes to go. I wouldn't be shocked. Yeah. The rest of the season. Well, let's wrap episode 10 up and then y'all can tell me what I missed in episode 12. Roy and Mallory have an interesting conversation where he tells her, look, I know you've been out here having sex. I know you've been out here cheating on me. Who is it? She's like, what you smell like? I smell like a 12 inch dick to you. And she's like, he's like, look,

[00:59:07] what if I just ran and jumped through this window? Huh? Would you like that? If I just got to run and start and jump through the window? She said, go jump. She doesn't care. He ends up running into Calvin in the hallway. And he can tell Calvin is probably the person Mallory's been having sex with or been cheating on him with or whatever. But Calvin says, no, I'm attracted to you. And this really disarms Roy. And he goes and does a bunch of cocaine as the episode ends. Those lips and those eyes. Beautiful. Yeah.

[00:59:36] Pushed him to go right on back to that coke. He went skiing real quick. So yeah, that's episode nine and 10. Shenanigans all over the place because that's what we do here on Beauty and Black. But Mari, something tells me that big things are coming in episode 11. What do we have to look forward to before we come back next week for our full series review? Well, so for 11 and 12, like, okay,

[01:00:06] so it starts off. Yeah, that's what you want me. I can, I can get into 11 and 12. Let's get into it. We're getting into it. Yeah, let's do it. Just want to make sure. Okay. Okay. So it starts off with, again, Jules being like, Kimmy, Kimmy killed both my bum bitches. Damn. Find her. Find her now. She a special bitch. She is a special bitch. She is a special bitch. Literally, how it opens. And meanwhile, he's looking for Kimmy, but because Roy decided to go skiing,

[01:00:35] he calls her and he's like, he's like, go, go, go be at the hotel room. Be there at noon. Don't be late. Be in the bed waiting for me. Yeah. But did you notice Matt, that once she got to the hotel room, he was there before her and nobody. Yeah. He didn't say anything about that part. I guess he wanted her to like, go to the front desk, pick up a card and then go in. But yeah, he was there. All right. But she's disrespectful. We know that. So she wasn't there first waiting in bed.

[01:01:05] The gag is, she goes in there and she's like, where's my sister? Well, she keeps doing this thing where she's like, where's my sister? And everybody's like, I don't know what you're talking about. What sister? Where's my sister? Like she's Batman or something. And everybody's like, please explain what your sister is. And then we don't know. We don't know. And she, and then she's, and she calls Roy by his government name, which I don't even know if he,

[01:01:34] apparently she didn't, he thought she didn't know. Even, but he thought she didn't even know his first name, apparently. Cause she calls him Roy and he's like, what? How did you, what? Like it was weird. Roy Lusavius Bellary or whatever his name is. She called him by his whole government name. Oh yeah. And then she said, your dad's horse, your brother's, she wouldn't know. Family tree. Family line. Yeah. Our point out. Yeah.

[01:02:04] And he had to let them know she was hip. Who told you? Yeah. And then she was like, she was like, oh, you, you worthless motherfucker. They wouldn't tell you anything. And then he's like, ah, you forgot. I'm the dominant one. She's like, smack down. Yeah. Kimmy again gets her ass beat. She's a few licks. She got the good. Where's the good? She does end up throwing. What?

[01:02:34] Stop. So he, okay. Roy, he like, you know, he's recovering. I think he got like his face scratched at one point. So he's like stumbles over, you know, maybe he's looking at the, out the window, reflecting on his life. Like he was. And then Mari, what happened? And then he, then she runs and she pushes him out the window. Gore. But like, yeah.

[01:03:02] She pushed that man out the window. And this was at the, like the beginning, middle of episode 11. It is still not addressed by the end of episode 12. No, but not only that, like nobody, literally no one brings up the fact that he's, like, no one knows that he's dead. Nobody knows that he's dead. That he's missing. And let me tell you, that was, cause I counted, I paused and I counted the other, the building they were showing outside.

[01:03:29] They were at least like 25 or 30 stories up. Which like, they were all the way down. Cause the, the hotel number was 39, 22. So they had to be like, they were on the 39th floor. 39th floor is crazy. Yeah. And now I think I, now I was like, why is she lingering by the door number so long? Like this? Oh, cause rain was trying to convince her to come back. She's like, don't go to see the,

[01:03:58] you could be walking into a trap. It's just so funny because like the Kimmy storyline and the Bellary storyline, it's like, it's so weird because it's like moving parallel, but it's not. Not connecting. It's not connecting. Um, cause rain is like, rain is like jewels and, and that guy Roy could be setting you up to walk into an ambush. She's like, I don't care. I gotta get my sister. Yeah. Yeah. That's what she said. I don't think she can, like, she doesn't care. Like, I get that.

[01:04:28] Like, yeah, why would she care? She's, I mean, I would. And then, and then we find out why Miss Olivia is one not to trifle with. Uh, the, the, the man she was having sex with. I really was like, I wrote in my notes. I was like, Miss Olivia is about to kill this man. And I still don't know who he is. Yeah. But he knew too much. His name is Tony. Yes. So his name is Tony. And we do find out Chappelle that he was the guy who sent the people to rob and

[01:04:58] kill Horace on his behalf. Yeah. So the people, yeah. So the people who Kimmy and Angel ended up like, I mean, they didn't really help Horace. No. They watched Horace murder the people in front of them. But, um, those people were sent by Olivia and, and Olivia got Tony to do it, but Tony effed it up because Horace isn't dead.

[01:05:28] But Horace doesn't know that Olivia sent those people. I think, I think he thought Angel sent the people or something like that. Um, but Angel's like, I didn't send those people. I was trying to send some other people and my people didn't show up. Um, which, but, but later and then later, Horace is like, I know that your people didn't come. Like it was, but they were still trying to rob him. It's weird. He, I think he, I don't think Horace knows who sent the people. I think he may have thought that Norman sent the people, but anyways,

[01:05:58] we find out that it was Olivia and Tony who sent the people. Tony messed up because the people didn't hit Horace. So she's like, she's like, I'm sorry. I got to get rid of you. And he's like, no, but baby, I love you. And she's like, no, she's like, she just starts yelling at her. She's like, I don't like this. Stop shaking. Stop being a bitch. Just get into the bag. And these two, yes, these two men come in. They have this, she's like, stop, stop it now. Stop it. And her,

[01:06:28] stop getting, stop. Just get in the bag. Get in the bag. And this dude, he started getting in the bag. And like, he's like, he has a, he's like this. And she's like, stop shaking. Just get in the bag. I'll give you some of the crime out. The bag. And these two dudes shoot him right in front. I'm sorry. In the bag. You're telling me you're about to murder me to my face. I'm not going to be. I'm not getting in a bag.

[01:06:58] I'm not getting in a bag. I'm not getting in a bag. It's easier for you. Again, I'm, I'm potato, I'm stocking. I'm potato. I'm like, you're going to have to deal with my body. I'm not going to make it easy for you. I'm not going to mess it clean up. That's a forensic. I didn't watch some true crime. I'm scratching at you. I'm trying to get DNA to my fingertips. I'm trying to get everything.

[01:07:27] Like y'all going to find me. I'm not going to be in no bag. All nice and tidy for you. He, he over here, like, like baby, please, baby, please. I can do it. I can try. She's like, no, no, no, no, no. Meanwhile, he's in the bag. She's like, I gave you one chance and you messed up. And she's like, nah, nah, I gotta kill you. And it was so nonchalant. It was, it was a very funny, it was very funny. She was smoking a, she was smoking a cigarette the whole time.

[01:07:57] As she does. She, she, she really was. And so, yeah. And so my notes say, don't step into the bag. Don't step into the bag. Don't get in the bag. I don't even know who I even wrote worst criminals ever about because literally everybody. I'm trying to think of some other highlights from episode 11. Yeah. No. Yeah. Yeah.

[01:08:28] There's so much. So there's like the Varney and Horace of it all. Varney, Varney has like a lot of action happening in episodes 11 and 12. So like Horace, they're discussing the will. Horace seems to want to like frame one of the family members for a crime. Yeah. So that they are taken out of the will or whatever the percentage or whatever the hell it is. So we find out if somebody charged with a felony,

[01:08:59] they, uh, this is crazy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If they get, if they get charged with a felony, then their shares can be, be, can be spread amongst the family again. Um, but if they're like killed by a family member or something like that, their shares can't be given to the family member, something like that. So what I thought was happening was Horace was trying to get evidence on Norman and Jules because he talks to the judge.

[01:09:25] The judge tells him that basically Norman and Jules have been running the stripper enterprise. But then Horace makes Jules's dirty cops bring Angel to him. Poor Angel. Angel is like, um, and Horace is like, tell me everything about Kimmy. And he's like threatening Angel. I'm like, I'm confused because

[01:09:50] Kimmy and Angel can tell you everything you need to know about Jules being a human trafficker, which should help you, you know, pin Norman for the felonies. But he's antagonistic to Angel. He's like, oh, it's going to be, it's going to suck to like kill you. And then I think at the end of episode 12, he goes to Rain's hospital bed and Rain just so happened to be on the phone with Kimmy. And, um,

[01:10:19] Kimmy's overhearing. Yeah. Uh, Horace tell Rain, like, you're going to tell me everything about Kimmy. And Rain's like, you might as well kill me now. Cause I ain't telling you nothing about Kimmy. Said exactly like that. And then, um, he then proceeds. He's like, he's like, pain makes people talk. And then he proceeds to use his cane to like stab at her butt. In the butt wound. Her BBL. Her BBL. Stabbed her in the booty. Right in that butt wound. Like,

[01:10:49] just twist the knife. That's like, ah! Again, I'm so, and that's why, Matt, like, I was so confused. I'm like, what is Horace doing? Because these, you should be making friends with these people. They know everything about that. She's a stripper. She's a stripper. She's a stripper. She's a stripper. She's a stripper. It's with him being like, I'm the one who got you in the hospital. You know? And he seems like the friendly grandpa. But then it turns. He's threatening him. He did. He did. I didn't like it. I didn't like it.

[01:11:19] Meanwhile, Varney was getting cucked by Charles. yeah, that was weird. There was that. There was, okay, Chappelle, we get no cheese. You can't just like casually drop cooking on the podcast. All of Matt's notes about Vardy and James. Yeah. Well, okay. So I'm like, where's the butt? Like, where's the man butt? We saw the butt. Yeah, we did. Well, then we got to it in episode, like episode 12. I feel like there was a lot of butt. They went back to the club. Yeah, lacquer room. There was, there was some butts,

[01:11:48] some other bits too. There was some bits. Yeah, I saw some bits. I was like, oh, Tyler. Okay. There we go. So that was messy. And you know what? Oh, Mari, there's the part where Kimmy actually goes back to the hotel, which is more like a motel. I don't know why they're calling it. Why do you want to go back there? And Jules bust in there. Angel's in there too with, with Kimmy. Angel is being interrogated for the third time in an hour. And, and Jules.

[01:12:19] Kimmy hides. Yeah, Kimmy hides. Jules just starts shooting. Yes. Yeah. He shoots the beds. He shoots the beds. He shoots the closet and the beds. He shot the bed. He did. Both of them. Yeah. But where was she hiding? Like in, she was hiding in the closet. He didn't look at the closet cause he's stupid. Okay. So yeah. Yeah. It was in the bathroom though. And then she gets the call from rain. And then she's like, I gotta go get right. Of course.

[01:12:48] As soon as she steps her dumb ass out of the hotel, one of Jules's men grabs her because duh. Duh. Duh. And so. Side note, I have to point out. So meanwhile, and this is where the whole thing with Horace and rain happens at the hospital, but they're talking about blood clots again. I feel like the blood clots is like the back rolls. He was using that to threaten. He was like,

[01:13:18] he was like blood clots are so sudden. They can kill you. So suddenly like, I know I already had blood clots. It's a room. Yeah. A bunch of them. I can give you more. Like what? I don't know why. What are you talking about? And so Kimmy is, she gets kidnapped. Kimmy is finally caught by one of the dirty cops. And Jules, she talks to Jules on the phone. And again, she says, where's my sister? And Jules is like, I don't know what to talk about.

[01:13:48] Which at this point, I'm kind of like wondering if like the Linda and body just kind of like, they were wrong. No, what if they were just like, Oh, here, we just took you to scare your sister. You can go back. You can go somewhere else now, you know, because like where, like they just did this without Jules, without any of the higher ups knowing like, yeah. Just went off the grid. Yeah. Jules is still just like, I don't know. I don't know. But he's like, if I find her, maybe I'll make her pay.

[01:14:18] Pay your money back. And I'm like, Oh my God. More threats. More threats. And he's like, by the time you get here, you better have answers for me. Because I think he asked her if she killed body and Delinda and she didn't say anything. So she crashes a car to make sure she doesn't get there. The car fricking flips. Wait, first of all, wait, but she, okay. So I guess she was like taking off her seatbelt or something. She put her seatbelt on. And it was so funny. She put her seatbelt on.

[01:14:48] Yes. That's hilarious. I was so confused. She put their seatbelt on, which is, it's, this is classic, like true crime. Like she puts her seatbelt on and he even calls her out. He's like, what are you doing? You putting your seatbelt on? You about to crash this car? And she's like, no, I just, I'm not about to do that. And then they said, no, I'm just trying to be safe. It's just, I'm safe. And this fool didn't think,

[01:15:17] maybe I should put mine on too. And he said, oh, okay. She immediately pepper sprays him. She has had the pepper spray this whole time. And they flip and, and they are both upside down. He calls her the B word a few times. And it's just like, I've never seen somebody like choreograph what is about to happen on screen. It's so funny. But that, those are like the highlights of the, those are the highlights.

[01:15:47] Oh, yeah. That's it. Yeah. Well, look, we will be back next week to talk about the conclusion of these beauty and black shenanigans. And to really get into what happens next after we, in, I don't know, after we pulled Kimmy and them from the car, like, where are we going after this? Only Tyler Perry knows. And the only way to find out is to watch it on Netflix and to come back and join us for the conversation here. If you enjoy beauty and black content,

[01:16:16] please leave us in the comments, your craziest moments from this Tyler Perry show. Your funniest moments, the things that made you go, and the things that made you go, Oh my God. You know? And so let us know what you think. And then tune in next week as we finish our review of the entire series. Mari, you've been watching a new soap opera that has been, you know, highly talked about. We talked about on recap kickback. We talked about like people have been talking about it all year coming up to this point.

[01:16:46] It's been about a month and we have beyond the gates now as our new daytime television show, predominantly black daytime television show. First of its kind. Marv, you've been watching beyond the gate. What do you think? Yeah. Yeah. It it's on CBS at two o'clock. I believe, I think it's taking the slot where the talk used to be. Um, but it is actually really good. I, I have never been a soaps person, both like my aunt was,

[01:17:14] I remember my aunt watched general hospital and she would record it on VH, VHS tapes. And she'd have mountains and mountains of VHS tapes. And I'm like, I don't think you, did you actually watch this? I don't know. But, um, um, I just remember her having watched her stories and everybody talking about their stories. And I'm like, I never got it. I, you know, soap operas once they're like 11 years in is it might be hard to like jump in too. So that's why I was like,

[01:17:44] I want to check out beyond the gates because one, it it's new. So it's just starting. So you actually get a chance to go in like the ground up and like grow with the characters to it's set here in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area. It's set, um, like the richest black County. It's, it's about, um, it's about a black family that lives in a gated community where basically their family, um, their family founded the community. Like, uh,

[01:18:13] the matriarch is tomorrow tuning from, um, of law and order SVU fame, her grandfather, like, uh, founded the community. And it is a thriving black community, um, rich black community. And it, it's so good. It takes place like in their country club. It's called a Fairmont crest is, is the community. And it, it centers around, you know, a large family and their dynamics.

[01:18:42] And it has like, not only the country club, but there's like the hospital, they have a hospital section. And then they have like one of the husbands is a DC, police officer too. So, you know, that's going to come in. They've already set up that there's going to be a wedding in like two weeks. And you're like, Oh God. So it's like, you know, soap opera weddings. I just never, it. So I started watching it after watching beauty in black and it, it, it honestly, I was like, Oh,

[01:19:11] I get it now. I'm like, and it's so much easier for us now. We don't have to DVR or VCR it anymore. It's streaming on Paramount plus. So I just catch up when I can. And yeah, I would love to talk about beyond the gates and so soap operas in general and their effect on like the black community eventually here. And I encourage everybody go watch it, go support it because like Chappelle says, it's kind.

[01:19:41] I think the closest thing we have was passions. I think passions was like the last black soap opera. Was passions even black? I didn't know that was black. I don't know. It might not have been. Yeah. There you go. So it is my, it is, it's really one of the kind. So go support it. Yeah. I have so many thoughts, but I can't wait to check out beyond the gates. I'm going to watch a week of it. And then we'll talk about soap operas here because I think something about

[01:20:09] growing up in my black household or my black family was that like, if you had to miss school for whatever reason, and you had to stay with somebody's grandma or auntie for, the day, or somebody's next door neighbor, depending on how old you were. You was watching the soaps. You was watching the stories. My granny had stories that she used to watch. And then if you was a bad kid, like me, you didn't get to go out and play. You got to get in trouble. You had to sit by your granny and time out. And that means you watch whatever she was watching. And so I've seen my share of all my children, young, young and the rest is one life to live in general hospital,

[01:20:39] my damn self. So I'll be very happy to check out this soap opera. You know, when I got older, I started calling my television shows, my stories to kind of just like, you know, funny way. Like when I, when raising that, I mean all that guy to watch my stories. Okay. Yeah. Go check out my stories. Um, the other stories. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah. But now I'm grown, grown up Chappelle stories too. We got stories. Uh, yeah. So check out beyond the gates and then let us know what you think about it as well. You can email us your feedback, uh,

[01:21:09] recap, kickback at gmail.com. And let us know what you think about that. And then, uh, we will be back in a couple of weeks. Let's see if we can find a special guest to come on and talk about some soap operas. How about that? Yeah. Yeah. If anybody out there, you know, who we've collabed with before, uh, feel strongly about soap operas. Hit us up. Hit us up. And, um, last up. Matt Scott. Soap operas. Speaking of wrestling. Yeah. Wrestling's like a soap opera, right? Yeah,

[01:21:39] but black soap operas. Pro wrestling has this too. We got a lot of black wrestlers now. We talk about that a lot now, how when we were coming up, you had a few and there was a lot of times it was racist. A lot of times, it was problematic. It was some stuff going on. Shout out to crime time, wherever you're at. But now we have, we have some, we have some black, a black soap opera going on with, uh, two of my favorite people in the world. So Matt, take us away.

[01:22:06] Tell us what's been going on in black entertainment wrestling. I'll tell you. Well, and side note, shout out to BET for posting a black women's wrestling, like tribute. If you go on their Instagram, they have like all of the different women. They do call, uh, Sasha Banks. They call me Mercedes money, Sasha Banks, instead of her current name. But they have all of these different women, which is awesome. So shout out to them. But, um,

[01:22:33] we've had a feud going on as Maury and I know between, well, I don't call it a feud. There's a bit of mystery. Jade Cargill got her ass kicked and laid out, knocked out, laid out on the hood of a car back in October or so. And she was like, I don't know what you, how you describe it, Mari, but she was laying there kind of like cartoon character. Yes. With her, with her red bottoms on and all. So we kind of were wondering like, who did it?

[01:23:03] Who done it? You know, she's been gone. Then she came back. Mari. We were talking about this just over on the wrestling kickback a few days ago that she came back at the elimination chamber pay-per-view, which storms into the ring. We think that she's going to attack live Morgan, who we thought did the attack. And she kicked Naomi's ass, but black ass for the purposes of. So she beats Naomi up. Bianca gives a performance of a lifetime. Yes.

[01:23:32] Pull up the thread, pull it up and click on that splayed out picture, by the way, if you're not watching, what are you doing? So cartoonish. How do you make this position? And also like, even in, in the K-fabe, the scripted world of it all, like how did she get thrown onto the car like that? But anyway, yeah, I think she fell off it. I think she got pushed. She was pushed. Chappelle, are you okay?

[01:24:05] He's down. Chappelle's down. Oh. She landed. She got hurt, Chappelle. Keep going, Matt. Have some decorum. She got hurt. So then she showed up. Jade showed up and she kicked Naomi's ass.

[01:24:31] And then Naomi showed up on SmackDown in the ring with Bianca with a nice bedazzled, bedazzled, bedazzled neck brace. to have a conversation with, with Bianca about it. And what we have pulled up, by the way, is a thread on our, uh, wrestling kickback blue sky. Check it out. Wrestlingkickback.blue. dot B-S-K-Y dot social. Of the 15 best moments of this instant classic segment.

[01:25:00] Cause there were so many good moments. It was so good. We have Naomi. Telling Bianca, I need you to lock in girl. Lock in with me right now. I'm just like, Oh no, there's going to be some bullshit. Oh my God. There's going to be some bullshit. And then Bianca's like, get to the damn point. Like who did it? Did you do it? Stop. And then. Did you attack Jade? Oh my God.

[01:25:29] I'm not us getting a copyright strike for that. We don't need to be serious about that copyright strike. Like I know we're going to get this whole video taken down. But Bianca asked the question straight up. Like Naomi was like, she's taught like, did you hurt Jade? And the levels to this, this was so good because like Naomi came in like real simmery, very like low, low level.

[01:25:58] And by the end of it, she is yelling. And full skill as Bianca walked away. I was like level. Level. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. So we get the mess. Naomi's trying to keep it together. We, you know, I have to say we get the, the moment from Bianca where she's like trend using her actual government name. Stop. Like, but then the peak moment was of course, Naomi admits that she did. She did it.

[01:26:28] She did it. Mari. How was, how'd that feel? She did it for Bianca, which kind of makes her a good friend. If you ask me. Shout out to the reference, doing it for the rock. I did. Was that, was that when the rock, I mean, when Rikishi, uh, sabotaged, was it stone cold? Stone cold. Rikishi, her father, Naomi's father. Her father-in-law. Mm hmm. Dang. Amazing. Amazing call that. I remember when I was a kid, that broke my heart. Mm hmm. That broke my heart.

[01:26:58] I always hated the rock. I was like, Rikishi, not you. You know, Rikishi was just amazing. He got his, he got his ass every week after that. Oh my God. Didn't they put them in, didn't they end up putting him in that six person hell in a cell? Yeah, they did. That Armageddon hell in a cell. I was like, Rikishi, you have no business being in the room with these people. It's like Kurt Angle, Kane, The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Rikishi. Rikishi, girl, what? Get your ass off.

[01:27:27] That was one of the best matches ever. Rikishi took a straight up kendo stick. Was it a kendo stick or a, Yeah. Yep. Kendo stick to the head. And he just, Just fell into the truck. Like a zombie. A truck full of hay. A truck full of hay just happened to be there. We just happened to pull up the truck full of hay. I gotta go watch that. Doesn't Kurt Angle end up winning that match? It's crazy. Probably. Yeah, he does. I think so.

[01:27:56] I think Kurt Angle ends up winning that match. Crazy talk. So, right out of Rikishi's book, and I have to believe Bianca was not a fan of this match. No. It's Chappelle. Play, play that clip that says, don't touch me. I just need to hear it. We just need to hear it. Just real quick. We're ready to go. We're ready to scrub this. No, no. Stop touching. The acting from Bianca, from Naomi.

[01:28:24] It was next level. Give her her things. Give her her things. All of them. Actually, I did see, I did see a graphic on social media that was like, it was like a Grammys graphic, but of Bianca, like, best actress goes to Bianca Belair. There we go. So, she walks off. She's destroyed. Naomi starts going off, saying she wishes she pushed Jade sooner. She calls her a bitch. Shit.

[01:28:53] And then Jade shows up. And Jade shows up and kicks her ass. So. Jade doesn't say a thing to Bianca. Ain't that outfit. God damn. Yeah. Like a white cat. Oh my God. Oh God. Always does. Always does. There we go. And it was just, it was an ass kicking after that. And a lot of regret. Bianca, you ain't helping. Oh no, Bianca walked away. My name is Bennett.

[01:29:22] I am not a part of this. I am not in it. Dang. Naomi getting rocked. Yeah. Oh yeah. She was getting, she was getting, uh, yes. Yeah. Naomi. I love that, Matt. Um, yeah. Rumor, you know, people are speculating. They think, I was going to say rumor has it. People think Bianca is, is more involved in this than we think. Wow.

[01:29:50] People think she did it to Jade. She did it for herself. I did it. I did it for me. Yeah. I'm like, I mean, I mean, technically, if you follow the logic for the Rikishi thing, um, it ended up technically then being Triple H. Remember? Didn't it? It was like, it was like, it was like Rikishi took the blame for it at first, but then they, they somehow transferred it over to like Triple H.

[01:30:19] It was like Triple H was the one who hired. Oh, I forgot about that. I want to say, but he did it for the Rock. Yeah. Yeah. Triple H was in that match too. Now that I think about it. Yeah. It was, it was something like that. They, they, they, they retconned it near the end. So, but no one remembers that. They're not like Triple H did it for the Rock who like Rikishi did it for Triple H. You did it for the Rock, you know? Right. Yeah. Clunky. Um, so a lot of people are saying maybe,

[01:30:49] maybe Bianca didn't know about it, but she's not, I don't know. Again, still fun. I know. I, I know. I don't care. Like, I don't care. This is amazing. Bianca's like, I don't want to have to pick between two friends. But that acting, because I, I have to say this one takes the cake for me because my favorite promo segment, as Mari knows, just in case she doesn't know, it was Jade Cargill back in AW.

[01:31:19] Jade Cargill walks out on Cody Rhodes's wife, Brandi Rhodes and says, who told you it was open mic night, bitch. And this surpassed that for me. So I'm really happy now. I love wrestling. Peak, peak wrestling. Put them in the hall of fame. Now. I could listen to y'all talk about wrestling all day. I literally do sometimes. And so, uh, make sure y'all check out the wrestling kickback here or recap kickback and keep up with Matt and Mari's updates monthly. They check,

[01:31:48] they tune in, let us know about these pay-per-views and let us know about the crazy storylines that happened. Lock in, follow wrestling kickback on, uh, blue sky and keep up with the thread, uh, and, uh, all the crazy content that they're compiling because that was entertaining. I, the way Jay was, uh, laid out on the car. I will never forget that as long as I live probably. Um, but yes, anything else in the world of wrestling we need to touch on before we wrap up? Nope. If, if you guys want to hear more of our wrestling takes,

[01:32:19] uh, definitely, um, just follow recap kickback and we'll be posting there. Um, but you know, we might come back earlier than the next PPV on this one. Like, yeah, cause the next one, I think the next one's wrestling. We can talk about that. So, but we'll do something in March. So it's March. A bracket would be nice. I'm just throwing it out there. We love bracket season in March. It's March. We do love a bracket, Mari. You do love a bracket. I think y'all can come up with a bracket for us. We will. We'll think about it.

[01:32:49] We'll think, we'll think about it. Black wrestling matches of all time. You know, we'll think about it. We'll think about it. There's also like the lunch tables of it all, you know, black. Yeah. There's a lunch table. It's not a bracket. We got time. Let us know what you think. Recapkickback at gmail.com. Email us and let us know what you would like to hear us talk about as far as wrestling content goes with Matt Scott and my lovely co-host Mari. That's it. That's it, y'all. We did it. We talked about Beauty and Black. We talked about.

[01:33:17] We talked about some soap opera drama on the WWE. And of course, we talked about Beyond the Gates, but we will be back next week to talk about more Beauty and Black. But until next time, Matt Scott, thank you so much for joining us. What else do you have going on in your world? Thankfully, not a lot. Matt Scott G. W. On all the different platforms, mainly Blue Sky. And you always just go back and check out PodFriends. You know, let's go run RHAP. Check it out. Doing good things. Lots of conversations.

[01:33:48] So check that out. And the wrestling kickback, of course. But, you know, I keep it simple. I keep it light. And speaking of simple and light, Mari, go for it. Wait, that, that sounds slightly like a bit. That sounds kind of shady, but it's cool, it's cool, it's cool. Simple, like in a good way, you know, like. Hmm. Hmm. Okay. Well, you can follow me over on Blue Sky at Mari Talks Too Much. That's two, like the number two.

[01:34:17] You can also catch me over on the Crime Scene Pod with Sarah Carradine. We will have a flashback episode this week, but just make sure, sure you're subscribed by going to CrimeScenePod.com. That's Crime S-E-E-N pod.com. And after that, we'll be talking with this man over here, Chappelle, talking about, um, him being on TV and all that. Yeah, that was wild. Yeah. Yeah. If you want to,

[01:34:48] for that, make sure you are subscribed everywhere, uh, where you, uh, to Crime Scene, everywhere you get your podcast. Um, me, Jason, and Asia are finishing up Mavs coverage over on the Lover for Sight feed. I was over there last week, um, for the like, where are they now? Well, we don't even know what to call this, the episode, like between decision day, but before the reunion, it's like post decision day.

[01:35:17] And they only filmed those people for two weeks, post decision day. And it was one of the most ridiculous episodes we had ever encountered. So go to, uh, first site pod.com in order to subscribe to the love at first site feed, um, where they just wrapped up coverage of love is blind. Uh, but we have about three more weeks, I believe of Mavs and, uh, and then it's done. And I can't believe, we can't believe it. It's, it's ending so soon. So yeah.

[01:35:46] So just go check that out as well. I was over on, I don't know about that, uh, over on podcast talking with Gia about a survivor 48 episode two. I only talk about survivor on podcast, maybe like once, twice a season. So if you want to go hear my thoughts on survivor, you can go there, go to silent podcast and listen to, I don't know about that. Uh, me and Gia had a blast.

[01:36:17] Complaining. Complaining about, about the, uh, a lot about the format, but it was still fun to go check that out on, uh, silent podcast YouTube. So yes. And, uh, and here, recap, kickback. We have Abbott elementary coverage with Gia. Uh, every other week we're talking about it. And then Gia and Isaiah and I will be, uh, reconvening again to have another Brent steel season. If you enjoyed our heroes versus healers versus hustlers,

[01:36:47] cartoon black, black character, SmackDown season of survivor that we simulated tune in this month because we have more, I think we're doing David's versus Goliath this time. And so, uh, if you had a black cartoon character and it was a snub, not in our first cast tune in for the second, one, you might, you, you might never know, uh, maybe they'll pop up. Uh, cause we're trying to build a little, a little, uh, cinematic universe for our Brent steel of black cartoon characters. And so I'll make you check that out here.

[01:37:16] Am I allowed to pitch someone for the, for right now? Okay. Jade Cargill. Her, like her dream, her dream would be to play storm. Oh, I need storm in there. I need storm in there. I felt like that was the biggest snub for me. And she is definitely a Goliath. Yeah. Yeah. She's a Goliath for sure. She would definitely be a Goliath. Yeah. Let's see what happens. tune into a recap, get back.com and see what coming with that. Uh,

[01:37:45] obviously Mike Mario said we'll be back next week. Obviously talk more about, uh, beauty in black. We're going to try to get some soap opera coverage here as well. We have our coverage of, uh, clean slate. The, the premiere of clean slate should be dropped, uh, as well this week. So check that out. Um, I mean, our recap of the premiere of clean slate as well. Uh, and then tune into everything we have coming for you by subscribing. YouTube.com slash at recap, get back or, uh, recap, get back.com slash subscribe. But for Matt, for Mario and for myself,

[01:38:15] you ain't got to go home, but you got to get the hell up out of here. We'll talk to y'all next time. Peace. My chest, wait on life. I want to hold my breath. I'm gonna get in my goddamn self.
