Summer House: Martha's Vineyard Season 2 Episodes 1 & 2 Recap
Chappell is back for another rendition of Recap Kickback, where we chop it up weekly about entertainment and whatever else Chappell wants to talk about.
Chappell and his Below Deck Recap Cohost Sasha (@Funsize_04) from the Bravo RHAP Up Podcast feed on RHAP are reunited to take on another Bravo TV show — Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard.
Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard follows ten young Black professionals and entrepreneurs as they head to Martha’s Vineyard, an island south of Cape Cod that was one of the first beach destinations where African-Americans could vacation and purchase property. The show follows these fun millennials on their annual vacation trip to the “Black Hamptons” and all the fun and drama that ensues while they are there.
This week, Chappell (@Chappells_Show) and Sasha (@Funsize_04) review season 1 and recap Season 2 episodes 1 & 2 — “Old Vineyard, New Drama” & “Jealousy, Jobs, & Judgment.”

[00:00:00] What's up fam? It's Chappelle and I am back with another edition of Recap Kickback. Now
[00:00:23] starting a new project here, something I've been dying to get into, something I've been
[00:00:27] talking about. If you're familiar with my work over on RHAP on the below deck, Bravo,
[00:00:31] Rahapov's feed, you probably have seen this coming, but we're in for a special treat.
[00:00:37] This time this season of Summerhouse Martha's Vineyard, we'll be covering it on Recap Kickback.
[00:00:43] That's right. If you are a fan of the hit show, Summerhouse Martha's Vineyard, we will
[00:00:48] be covering it every other week on Recap Kickback because it is such a crazy show. It is
[00:00:55] insane the amount of fighting these people do. It's drama, it's fun. There's so much to talk about,
[00:01:03] so much to talk about so little time. Without further ado, I have to introduce you to my co-host
[00:01:09] for her second appearance on Recap Kickback, but I'm sure she'll be here for a while.
[00:01:13] It's Sasha Joseph. Sasha, welcome. I made it. Listen, this is the show I wanted to talk to
[00:01:20] you about. I messaged you season one saying, if you were to go on a reality show, this would be the
[00:01:27] one for you. Although I know you don't want to, one day I will get you on the show.
[00:01:34] I want to be an NPC on this show. I want to bump into these people in the Martha's Vineyard
[00:01:39] at the bar or something like that. Maybe come to the crib and say hi and then leave.
[00:01:43] You and Chinese when?
[00:01:47] We have a lot to discuss when it comes to that, but of course thank you all for listening so far.
[00:01:51] All your reviews, all your comments, we're trying to keep the content fresh and to keep the content
[00:01:56] coming. And so like I said every other week, Sasha and I will be talking to you about two episodes
[00:02:01] of Summerhouse Martha's Vineyard until the end of the season. And then if they come back
[00:02:05] for more, we'll be back for more. That's how this is going to work. As long as Sasha's in,
[00:02:09] I'm into. And so feel free to leave your comments in the YouTube comments. You can always tweet us
[00:02:17] at recap kickback if you have any questions, comments, concerns about anything we talk
[00:02:21] about on the show because it's going to be a good time. It's a kickback. Everybody's welcome
[00:02:25] and we're going to have a fun time talking about this. So Sasha, let's go ahead and jump in.
[00:02:31] For the people who are unfamiliar with Summerhouse Martha's Vineyard, what would you say? Give
[00:02:37] us a quick summary of what you would say the show is. Yes, so if folks know what Summerhouse is in
[00:02:42] general, maybe you do already. So if for those folks, Summerhouse Martha's Vineyard is just the
[00:02:51] equivalent of that and it's a spin off. It's another franchise on Bravo. Now, if you have no
[00:02:57] idea what we're talking about and what the Hell Summerhouse is welcome because Summerhouse is a
[00:03:05] lot like the real world, except there's no jobs. It's a lot of folks coming together to party,
[00:03:13] to hang out, to have a good time in a summer spot. Right? So the original show, Summerhouse,
[00:03:23] was a lot about, you know, I think they were in New York. I can't remember. I didn't really
[00:03:27] watch it and it's a bunch of Bravo liberties that came together right from different shows,
[00:03:32] a show even we cover below deck had folks on it. So they all go, they get away from the stress of
[00:03:40] life. Right? That's the point. Martha's house and what makes it more special and unique is that
[00:03:46] they go to Martha's Vineyard, right? And they go to the Oak Bluffs specifically in Martha's Vineyard
[00:03:53] and they're an all black cast, which is really exciting. And I just personally appreciate
[00:03:59] that they picked the Oak Bluffs to highlight as someone, again, that works for Black and Brown
[00:04:05] Women's Organization. I've actually been to the Oak Bluffs to do a lot of ideation work for my
[00:04:12] cohort. So it's just like a really beautiful place. And that's where I think Summerhouse
[00:04:18] and history come together, especially for this cast. Yes. And there's a lot of history in
[00:04:24] Martha's Vineyard. It's given the nickname, the Black Hamptons due to its popularity as a place
[00:04:30] for wealthy African Americans to vacation. So members of these elite groups, the links,
[00:04:37] Jack and Jill and other organizations often visit there and kind of have their moments there
[00:04:43] and kind of live in their opulence. They like to go and be very fancy and Oak Bluffs.
[00:04:49] And so this follows a group of, I would say probably about millennials, right?
[00:04:56] As they are entering that era of their life, their entrepreneurs, their business owners,
[00:05:02] and they are kind of like a travel group of friends. They go out to the Summerhouse. This is
[00:05:07] now the second season. So many of them were just getting to know each other. They're like
[00:05:11] friends of friends, acquaintances even. And now they spent the summer together,
[00:05:15] at least 15 days, the first season. And now they're back for some more shenanigans. And so
[00:05:21] we have an entire cast here. We have a lot of like preexisting relationships, a lot to talk about,
[00:05:28] and a lot to discuss about, you know, moving forward with season two. And so
[00:05:32] instead of going through each of the cast members of season one and season two,
[00:05:37] I think we'll just jump into the plot. And as we hit different people,
[00:05:41] we'll talk about them. How about that Sasha? Yeah, sounds good to me. I like it.
[00:05:45] All right, cool. So as we said, Martha's Vineyard is a place, a good fun place for these African
[00:05:51] Americans. It's full of rich, full of history. And so that's going to be throughout our discussions
[00:05:56] as well. But the first person we find out on this episode, well, the first people we get updated
[00:06:01] about in this episode are Jordan and Jasmine. We know that Jordan and Jasmine were sister
[00:06:07] cousins, as they say, really good friends in season one. But it seems like they haven't
[00:06:14] hung out at all since the end of season one. Jasmine, we know who is married and Jordan,
[00:06:20] who was single and also celibate at the time, was doing her own thing as well. They met with
[00:06:25] these groups last time. And it seems like Sasha Jordan is a lot closer with the group
[00:06:31] than she is with her homie. What do you think happened here?
[00:06:35] Oh, so we saw a lot in season one, right? Jasmine was newly married and
[00:06:44] she is now a stay at home wife. And even on season one, just because they were
[00:06:52] on vacation, the duties were still of being a stay at home wife. So her and I think she's
[00:06:58] the first in the friend group to be married. There's a lot of, I think, spaces and layers to that.
[00:07:04] So I think a lot of people were frustrated with Jasmine because they were like, we know you
[00:07:10] in an XYZ way. And now you've fully switched up on us and you've become,
[00:07:16] and we see the joke made in episode two, you've become a 1950s housewife basically,
[00:07:23] that is very much about your man and not about your friends. So that's where I think that breakup
[00:07:30] unfortunately happened, where Jordan's like, well, I'm single trying to do single things, you're not.
[00:07:38] And Jordan and Jasmine met as a Playboy Bunnies at a Playboy Club in New York.
[00:07:45] And now they no longer work there. Jordan was once Playboy Bunny of the year.
[00:07:50] I think was like only the fourth African American woman to do that. And so her trajectory is a
[00:07:56] little different than Jasmine's, like you said, Jasmine's kind of in like homemaker mode. We won't
[00:08:01] see a lot of Jasmine's husband in this episode because he has been deployed. Sasha,
[00:08:07] I'm already getting the vibe. You're not a big fan of Silas. Who is are you? Because you
[00:08:11] watched season one. So don't be so for real. I watched season one. I would say that Silas
[00:08:17] has some control issues for sure. Why don't you iron my clothes? Yeah, you're awful at this.
[00:08:24] Why are you so bad at it? My eggs are burnt. Yeah. At the end of season one, it didn't feel like
[00:08:35] Jasmine and Silas were kind of on a rocky road, if you will, you know, it felt like throughout
[00:08:41] the season they were fine. They were pretty much in lockdown, but there were definitely
[00:08:44] moments and hints of people saying that Silas was a little controlling. You know, the issues
[00:08:48] Jasmine has with Jordan is like, it feels like Jasmine really wants Jordan to be in a relationship.
[00:08:53] I find that happens a lot of times with married couples. They want to, they want to pair you up,
[00:08:57] pair you up real quick because they're like, oh, I found somebody you need to be paired up
[00:09:00] with somebody too. Sasha. First of all, if I was a guy, I would still do that.
[00:09:08] This has been, I've been that on tea since I was born. Let's be very clear on that.
[00:09:13] Thank you very much. And I don't want you to be married, but there's very much a difference.
[00:09:18] I get bored. So I say, okay, Shabelle, it's time. Yeah. Yeah, there's a lot of like vibes on this
[00:09:29] episode where I was like, well, on this show where I was like, okay, I definitely see a little bit
[00:09:33] of me and Sasha in some of these people for sure. But what did you think about Jasmine
[00:09:38] and Silas? Because now that Silas is away, you know, we might get to see more of Jasmine,
[00:09:43] not in that mode of like homemaker and wife for the first time.
[00:09:47] Yeah. So I like was really frustrated by Silas and Jasmine because I agree. I hate those married
[00:09:53] couples because it's not even that they want to pair your, pair your friends up. It's that
[00:10:00] they look down on you because you're single. Why? Why do you need the headache of not only cooking
[00:10:08] yourself breakfast, but apparently wearing about someone else, not only ironing your clothes,
[00:10:13] but ironing someone else's clothes and then getting reamed, not in the good way for doing it wrong.
[00:10:20] And then the next thing is the way they have sex. It's giving performative, right? So every
[00:10:26] it's giving Jackhammer, it's giving energy to your bunny.
[00:10:32] Good for ha, wow, you have sex. You're amazing. That's what it was giving. And everyone else was
[00:10:39] like, yeah, dude, we all look like, you know what I mean? It's cute. That's fine. Don't care.
[00:10:44] So that was the vibe. But then I think about it and Jasmine has had a really hard life before.
[00:10:52] And I think that she is, there probably is a lot of that trauma of like, I can't mess this up
[00:10:59] because I don't want to go back. I don't want to go back to the strip club.
[00:11:04] No Stevie. No Stevie. But that's what I think of. I think there is a lot of like, there's a power
[00:11:09] differential in that marriage or there was at least season one. And I think that ugly is constantly
[00:11:18] showing up in different spaces. So that's why I want to give Jasmine credit or grace,
[00:11:24] but she, oh my God, they pissed me off because I don't like married girls that do that,
[00:11:28] that act like they're better than everyone. So I hope she's done some work. And I think
[00:11:33] that she is better because she's much calmer now to where she's not in front and leading the group.
[00:11:41] Yeah. You know, we saw her struggling with that last season because from her point of view,
[00:11:44] she's like, I'm not looking down on y'all. I just want you to be happy. But from Jordan's
[00:11:48] point of view, she's like, I am happy. Stop assuming that I'm not right? Like you shouldn't be sitting
[00:11:52] here saying I just want you to have somebody I want you to not be alone. It's like, I'm not
[00:11:55] telling you I'm unhappy alone. Like I'm fine. And so that's where it comes off like, oh,
[00:11:59] maybe you're looking down on me for not being in the same situation you're in.
[00:12:02] But Silas isn't here and I'll give Silas some grace as well. He felt like he needed
[00:12:06] to really be in control of this relationship because, you know, Jasmine tells him about how
[00:12:10] she was leaving in a car, you know, essentially, you know, before they got together and then maybe
[00:12:15] like, you know, her finances weren't always stable and stuff like that. And so he's really
[00:12:18] taking that leadership role. And so for a lot of people in Martha's Vineyard in this summer house,
[00:12:24] they weren't taking that well at all. Like it was just like, it was turning people off.
[00:12:29] That and the very loud sex, like you were saying, like every night it was just kind of like,
[00:12:33] damn, can let these people. But it's like they're trying to prove a point more than
[00:12:37] they're doing it for enjoyment. No, they weren't able to do it quietly. That is true. At some point,
[00:12:43] there people brought it up and they were like, oh, they tried to have sex quietly and it just
[00:12:47] he just wasn't doing it. Go to the bathroom. I don't, you know what? Whatever. It's like,
[00:12:55] I don't want to judge anyone sex. Like live your life, can't get queen. But
[00:13:00] it felt like that's all I'll say. So yeah, I'm just grateful that Silas is out of the picture.
[00:13:07] But listen, Jasmine is apparently not drinking to not drink. And I'm wearing that in air quotes.
[00:13:14] Well, let's talk about it. Jasmine is not drinking. And the people are raising eyebrows. You know,
[00:13:20] she says, you know, I'm just trying something new, sober, summer coming soon, that kind of thing.
[00:13:26] But a lot of people are saying, is she not drinking because there's something else going
[00:13:31] on? Is Jasmine pregnant? Now I personally as a man, I don't like to speculate because
[00:13:35] it could be very rude. Yeah, this is only a girl thing. Yeah, boys can't. However,
[00:13:40] right. However, when one of my turn up buddies all of a sudden want to tap out of the game,
[00:13:47] you have no choice but to question it, you know, like if that is your shot partner,
[00:13:52] and you used to drinking with that person, and all of a sudden you look up and they're like,
[00:13:56] I'm good, I'll just have water. All right, stop the press. You know, like
[00:13:59] it's something cut the camera. Something's off. Are you okay? Do you hate me? And so I think
[00:14:06] throughout this episode, a lot of people are starting to question, do you think Silas, you know,
[00:14:11] he went he got deployed, but did he leave a bun in the oven on his way out? So are we
[00:14:17] spoiler alert? Fast forward everyone. I mean, you saw it in the confessional. She looks
[00:14:22] different. That's the baby's already born. Oh, yes, it's Silas Jr. So yes, she was pregnant.
[00:14:34] And she said she didn't feel comfortable sharing with the cast because right of everything that has
[00:14:41] transpired or not actually because they just like have left her out. So I think she
[00:14:45] heard Jasmine says that she didn't feel comfortable. She that's the nicest way I can say that. Yeah.
[00:14:52] Yeah, I mean, that's how it goes. Everybody's personal business, you know, some people struggle
[00:14:56] with pregnancy stuff. Yeah, exactly. What if it was so early? We don't know their like
[00:15:01] background. It could be anything. So whatever the reason may be. Right. But congratulations to
[00:15:08] them. Also, we have Brea and her friend, Shanice who these are the turn up friends, right?
[00:15:16] Shanice and Brea were the party girls of the group. I mean, they're all kind of party girls, but you
[00:15:20] know, they were the fun ones if you will. Shanice and Brea have a lot of fun in season one.
[00:15:26] Shanice is commonly seen topless, bottomless naked. It all give at any given time. She's
[00:15:34] going to be having the greatest time of her life regardless of who's around. And her and Brea
[00:15:38] actually had a little conflict last season because Brea had a lot of conflict with everyone
[00:15:44] last season. And so including her number one friend, Shanice, because at some point,
[00:15:49] Shanice finds herself in the jacuzzi naked but as naked with Brea's boyfriend, Simon. And so
[00:15:58] that was not okay with Brea. Now, my dear Brea was very drunk and so this escalated very quickly.
[00:16:04] But now they're back. Sasha, and it seems like they're on the same page again.
[00:16:08] Yeah, I think Shanice is a friend that you just have to be like, this is my friend and this
[00:16:13] is who they are or don't be friends with her. It's not fair to again put whatever
[00:16:19] you feel about your man on your friend. I don't feel that she's like sitting here
[00:16:25] trying to like entice Simon. That was never a thing. So I just felt like it was very much,
[00:16:33] this is a thing. This is my friend. Here we are.
[00:16:36] Yeah, and she was only there on the weekends last time. But this summer, she's back. She's going
[00:16:41] to be naked again. And she's full time this time. So we're going to get a lot more of Shanice.
[00:16:46] And that might be a bad thing for certain people in the house because we know that
[00:16:51] there's a little drama with Shanice and her personal life that seeped into the show last season.
[00:16:58] One of the other cast members, Alex notably told Shanice that she needs to be cognizant of
[00:17:04] people's personal space. And then that became a huge source of conflict last season, Sasha.
[00:17:09] Alex, you want to tell his brother?
[00:17:12] Hit. Anyway, yeah, yeah, yeah. Please keep going.
[00:17:18] No, no. So that brings us to our next source of drama. Shanice was and she was accused of being
[00:17:24] a stalker last season due to some drama with an actor from insecure, not one of the main cast,
[00:17:31] but an actor from insecure. Yeah, it's Molly's ex boyfriend who interestingly enough,
[00:17:38] whose brother IRL was his Kiki Palmer's baby daddy.
[00:17:45] And we all know what happened there, not to assign blame on people, but I'm just saying it's all
[00:17:51] sussed. That is it. It's all sussed. That is it. Yeah, so this is bad for Shanice obviously.
[00:17:59] She gets dragged through the mud and told that she, you know, wasn't like basically that
[00:18:06] people should stay away from her. You know, she's crazy, all this other stuff. She got a lot.
[00:18:11] No, it's not him. I'm so sorry. No, yeah. That's what I'm saying.
[00:18:13] It was Norman Towns. No, Norman Towns is not. Oh, no, I.
[00:18:19] No, you're right. Right. That's it. It's not the main cast. This is, this is one of the.
[00:18:23] Oh, Bill Mato.
[00:18:28] They literally, I swear. Okay, whatever. No, no, it was not. Yeah, it's not the main cast.
[00:18:34] It was his ex, Molly's ex. But she had a bunch of exes on that show.
[00:18:38] Yeah, not me forgetting.
[00:18:39] Yeah, no, this is not.
[00:18:41] I'm a liar. Yeah.
[00:18:44] In the comments. I already caught myself.
[00:18:48] Right. No need to go after Dro. He has enough heat on him. Okay. So that's it. Yeah. She was
[00:18:55] told that, you know, people were told that she was a stalker. He really did like a smear
[00:19:00] campaign on her on social media. And so that seeped into the house because there was a moment
[00:19:06] where Shanice was really getting along with one of the other cast members named Alex.
[00:19:11] And Alex, they seem to be vibing and in the next episode he was like, Nope, I'm good. Thank you.
[00:19:16] And it just seemed to come out of nowhere. Eventually they had to talk. He was like,
[00:19:20] nah, you're a little too touchy for me. And then it was revealed that he had heard about
[00:19:24] the rumors and saw the articles about Shanice. And so that drama came to a head,
[00:19:30] but it doesn't look like there's any of that residual drama left over because Alex has moved on.
[00:19:35] Now, a little bit about Alex, he him and his frat brother are both on this season as well.
[00:19:41] They were on last season as well. It was Alex and Nick. They're both members of Kappa Alpha
[00:19:47] Psy fraternity. And they will not let you forget it. And so they're both there.
[00:19:52] And during the summer, Nick, Nick has a girlfriend. We have a lot to unpack with that.
[00:19:58] But Alex as well has been seeing people during the summer. But it sounds like he's in his F boy
[00:20:07] era, Sasha, because one of the people he's been seeing is also in the house and they are not
[00:20:12] on good terms. It's summer. Here's the thing, right? I have many feelings about summer
[00:20:18] and we'll get into it. But I do think that Alex is a little bit gas lady. He's just like very much
[00:20:25] in his toxic boy era. And I met many of these. That's why it's just, it is what it is. I just
[00:20:34] think you can't let them see you sweat and you can't, you know, he thrives on attention. We
[00:20:40] got to stop giving him attention. But it's fine. Alex and Nick are fascinating together.
[00:20:47] And the fact that Nick has a girlfriend is in the same girl that he didn't tell anyone until late
[00:20:54] season one. And now Nick is very friendly with the girlies.
[00:21:03] But that's Nick's M.O. You know, even season one we saw a lot of Nick,
[00:21:07] he was introduced to us as a very well dressed man who is sliding into the DMs. They's calling
[00:21:11] the DM bandit. He's in all the girls' DMs. If there's a woman in this house, he has been in their DMs.
[00:21:17] But you know, from his point of view, he's like, he's just being polite. A few hard eyes,
[00:21:21] a few, you look good here and there. But the women say it was a little bit more than that.
[00:21:26] You know, my friends though, my friends do not do that. Yeah, I don't think I've ever
[00:21:31] sent you a hard eyes emoji or anything like that in the DMs. Like I'll tell you,
[00:21:35] fire emoji. I do it to troll you because you post your friends. Yeah. Oh yeah. Well,
[00:21:42] I did see you put a hard eyes on that one person's emoji. I mean, one person,
[00:21:45] that one survivor player's picture, but whatever.
[00:21:51] How do you think it was? Oh, we have the same name. Oh yes. Oh, always. And what?
[00:21:58] Yeah, I will only do it to control him when he posts other attractive.
[00:22:05] Yeah, I guess. Well, everyone, okay, I have to be nice to him. Sorry.
[00:22:10] Yeah, that too. So what we see is that Nick is liberal with his compliments, I guess you would
[00:22:17] say he's like, Hey, you look nice. You look nice. You look nice. Would you do that if
[00:22:21] you were in a relationship? No, not really. But I guess that's the difference, right? If your
[00:22:26] relationship is fine and you're okay with that kind of thing, if y'all have talked about it,
[00:22:31] because him and his girlfriend, Tasia, I believe her name is. Yeah, they yeah, he says that they
[00:22:38] have already spoken and that she has no reason not to trust him. And she says the same thing.
[00:22:42] She is completely fine with these DMs, but the girls in the house are not. They keep
[00:22:46] bringing it up like so Nick, what happened to your girlfriend? Are you sure Tasia would
[00:22:49] have like there are points, Sasha, where I'd be like, damn, y'all care about more about
[00:22:53] this relationship than he do and the girl do what, what, what do y'all get from this?
[00:22:57] Why do y'all care so much? Yeah, I personally believe that she is very much like, Hey,
[00:23:04] this is who I am. This is who my man is. And I'm cool with it. That's what they give off.
[00:23:09] Shout out to them. Good for them. But I would feel uncomfortable if someone with a
[00:23:16] girlfriend is doing that. But at the end of the day, I think I would just get cool with
[00:23:20] the girlfriend so that we're all on the same page because I'm a girl's girl. So there's no way
[00:23:25] I'm getting caught up in every moment. We see that too. We see people go and try to meet Tasia.
[00:23:31] She's not here. I don't think at the beginning of this season either. No, but I'm sure
[00:23:37] like know her because yeah, they know her. So she's essentially a part of the friend group as
[00:23:41] well. We mentioned Summer. Summer and Alex have had a thing, Sasha. And this is the big drama,
[00:23:53] I think so far at the beginning of the season because from what we understand,
[00:23:59] they were not serious. This was not a relationship. Yes. This was a situation ship at best.
[00:24:06] Friendship. Intanglement. But it doesn't look like that's all because there are moments that lead
[00:24:14] you to believe that maybe there are some feelings there might not be reciprocated
[00:24:19] because Summer is upset that when Alex was out with his friends doing things, having events and
[00:24:28] stuff, Summer was not on the guest list. And she took offense to that, Sasha, because she
[00:24:32] felt like I'm sorry, do you have the direct quote? Someone that you've been inside, right?
[00:24:38] Yes. If you've been inside someone and you don't invite them. I don't understand.
[00:24:44] Yeah. She said if you've been inside someone, you would obviously invite them to your function.
[00:24:51] Listen, there's a difference. Inside outside. You see what I'm saying?
[00:24:55] See, Sasha, it's not like you on Team Alex on this one.
[00:24:59] No. I'm on Team Toxic because I just feel that if you play with fire and you're just like,
[00:25:07] oh, how did I get burned? Oh no. How dare you, you silly little fire. You burnt me.
[00:25:14] That's how I feel. So it's not that I'm on anyone's side. I just feel like he literally
[00:25:21] told you who he was. It was on the show who he was. Why are we acting like he would change for you?
[00:25:30] Men don't change for women and you can't tell me otherwise.
[00:25:35] You know, the funniest part about this to me is that Summer airs this out basically at the
[00:25:40] dinner table. You know, night one, y'all. It's happening. Yeah. Out the gate in front of everybody.
[00:25:46] If you haven't watched the show, just let me set this up for you. They're having a dinner.
[00:25:51] They always do. This is one of the staples of the show is that, you know, they're here for the
[00:25:55] Summer and they're going to spend time together. They go to brunch together. They do activities
[00:25:58] together. They come home, they hang out, they eat, they drink, all that kind of stuff. But
[00:26:01] they do it as almost like a big family with their big families at the table. And for some
[00:26:07] reason, you know, the conversation comes up because people start talking about, well,
[00:26:11] who's been hanging out over the Summer? Who's been invited to certain things who
[00:26:15] hasn't been invited to something, certain things. And based on what we can tell,
[00:26:19] Jasmine has been missing out on a lot of the functions, you know, whatever happened last
[00:26:24] Summer or when since she's been married, the vibes just haven't been the same. And so she
[00:26:29] hasn't been getting, she's been seeing this as well, which is kind of kind of gross. Well,
[00:26:32] and they went to Jamaica. Like, yeah, it's just there's a lot of cross pollination of
[00:26:39] frustration here. Yeah. And so you know, Jasmine probably feels a way about that. There's probably
[00:26:46] numerous reasons why Jasmine is being left off bad and bougie. But when they get ready to talk about
[00:26:52] it, you know, I was kind of like, those weren't my events to invite you to, you know, that kind
[00:26:58] of thing. Like he kind of passing the book until until Summer jumps in and was like, Oh, well,
[00:27:03] that's funny because when I was in New York, I didn't get a call and it was the same day.
[00:27:08] And I'm thinking, well, damn, Alex, what you gonna say? And then that's when she hits us with
[00:27:13] the you would think if you were inside someone, they would be the one who you would invite to
[00:27:18] something like this. And I'm like, whoa, because I don't know if it had been confirmed by
[00:27:24] everybody. It seems like there was a game of telephone. Some people knew that this had happened.
[00:27:28] But a lot of people at the table were not 100% confirmed that Alex and Summer had had a thing
[00:27:34] during, you know, while everybody was away. So this is a big reveal. And this is of course,
[00:27:39] like I said, the drama of the episode. No, I could not stop laughing because you know, she was
[00:27:45] waiting, right to share with everyone. Oh, well, you did this, you did that, you did this. And
[00:27:51] she's like, but I got the ace. But unfortunately, the ace wasn't the ace that you thought it
[00:27:58] was, babes. Because it landed like a lead balloon. Everyone was like, huh? Well, why did you do that?
[00:28:06] You should have known better. You know who he is. So I felt like it blew up on her face.
[00:28:13] And she ends up looking a little bit more sus because she keeps being like, we hung out. It's
[00:28:18] chill. It's cool. It's not a big deal. How do you know something's a big deal when someone
[00:28:23] says it's not a big deal? Yeah, they got to keep telling you is like, who are you trying
[00:28:27] to convince me or you? Right. And that conversation itself is really what made the whole Jasmine
[00:28:32] situation blow up too. Because when she goes to Alex, like, well, you ain't invited me to stuff
[00:28:37] and you've been inside me. Alex says, well, you ain't been inviting Jasmine to stuff. And
[00:28:42] a lot of y'all have it. And now boom, Jasmine who's sitting right there at the table was like,
[00:28:46] yeah, what about that? What happened? I've been getting invited to stuff. And I was like,
[00:28:50] okay, we're going to be here for a long summer session. And then Brea goes, well, let me jump
[00:28:56] in now because you guys keep hanging out in New York and I'm in New York and you don't want to
[00:29:02] hang out with me. And the weakest effing excuse of my life, okay? Because summer and Jordan go,
[00:29:10] well, we just went to brunch because we were staying together. Well, why were you sleeping
[00:29:16] over? Because you're visiting right happen to be right like damn, you could have invited
[00:29:23] Brea. They be okay. Brea is a source of a lot of drama in season one, but I was like,
[00:29:29] I was a champion for Brea season where I'm like, she low key and really
[00:29:34] you're out there meet Brea and my old Sasha, we all on the same page. A lot of that stuff,
[00:29:38] y'all pushing that girl buttons leave her alone. You know what I'm saying? Like, y'all,
[00:29:43] yes, Brea is going to take it to 10 every time. But a lot of that time, y'all brought it
[00:29:47] to her and she just met your energy and then everybody couldn't couldn't handle it. You
[00:29:51] know what I'm saying? Or, you know, sometimes just normal drama would pop off. And so this
[00:29:56] is bad. Brea is upset. Jasmine's upset. Alex is like nonchalant because that's kind of just a vibe
[00:30:02] he gives off and summer is upset because she still doesn't have the answers that she wants.
[00:30:08] Amir is the one who ends up going to check on Brea and we haven't really talked about Amir
[00:30:13] yet. He's from Austin. He is like tangential to the friend group. It's like, I think he
[00:30:18] knows the Kappas, right? He knows Alex and Nick. Yeah, he's friends with Nick.
[00:30:22] Yeah. And so now he's really good friends with the Kappas. Like they hang out, you know, that kind
[00:30:27] of thing. Him and Nick have gotten really close. And so he's back for season two. He didn't have
[00:30:32] a lot of drama in season one. He's very much like, you know, he had a little bit but they all did.
[00:30:38] But this time he's going to check on Brea, which is kind of what you would expect, right?
[00:30:42] For season one, you'd know Amir is going to be the one to go and look in and see if
[00:30:45] everybody's okay. Yeah, but that's when Brea is telling Amir, hey, I would have loved to be included
[00:30:55] in this kind of stuff. And sometimes I just feel like I'd be getting left out. Jasmine saying that
[00:30:58] she talked to a few people during the summer and she just isn't as close to Jordan as she would
[00:31:02] want to be. But she also wouldn't have wanted to have that conversation in front of everybody.
[00:31:06] So there's a lot blowing up in front of everybody. And there are some people
[00:31:09] just left out on the periphery of that. Amir would have his girlfriend there.
[00:31:17] But here's girlfriend, for her to not be in episode one and two, we talk about her a lot, Sasha.
[00:31:22] Like she's not, we talk about her probably about as much as we talk about Silas.
[00:31:27] Yes, it is why I think I just keep trying to put two and two together and it's not clicking.
[00:31:34] Like I don't understand what's going on with them.
[00:31:38] Yeah, because he left her behind, right? We don't know Amir's girlfriend. Apparently they got
[00:31:42] together after last season, like right after last season. So it's been about a year.
[00:31:47] And his whole thing with her is that my girlfriend would never allow me to do any
[00:31:53] of the stuff that some of you guys are doing. She wouldn't allow me to be
[00:31:56] any anybody's DMs like that. She wouldn't allow me to be all touchy-filly or this and other.
[00:32:01] It's like, well she allowed you to come stay with all these people.
[00:32:05] Thank you. And it's the whole vibe is weird. Like he's trying so hard to be a wife guy, right?
[00:32:13] Like he's like my wife, my wife. That's the vibe I'm getting from him. And we just fine.
[00:32:19] I don't think there's anything wrong with being obsessed with your partner.
[00:32:22] I think that's beautiful. It's great. Wow, amazing. But I just feel like again,
[00:32:29] she feels insecure. I don't know why she's beautiful. And in episode two, they even have
[00:32:37] like a weird tip where she's like, I think you sent me a text that wasn't meant for me.
[00:32:42] And I didn't like that. And he's like, no, that was for you. I don't know what you're talking
[00:32:47] about. And even then they're just going back and forth, back and forth. So I just think
[00:32:52] there's something going on with them that I think will eventually come out.
[00:32:57] Yeah, every time some type of trust issue or some type of, you know, just something like small
[00:33:04] that's going on with another one of the like friend groups or something. Anytime it's involving a guy
[00:33:09] who's in a relationship and a woman who is not or two, you know, whatever. We always get the
[00:33:14] sound bite from a mirror that says my girlfriend would murder me. She would cut my she would
[00:33:18] cut my thing off and hang it up from the rooftop and then drag everybody through like
[00:33:22] he's painting her is like just this like terror almost that like where he be damned if he do step
[00:33:30] out of line because she gonna get them together, you know, which which is okay. Right? Like you
[00:33:34] want to pay if that's the personification you want to give of your girlfriend fine. Like we get
[00:33:38] it. It's joking. We don't really think she's going to to murder you and stuff like that. But we
[00:33:42] get it a lot in the first episode. And then like you said by episode two, there's a moment
[00:33:48] where Amir there's a lot of partying going on in the house, right? It's a lot of it gets kind of
[00:33:54] wild. There's the nudity going on that kind of thing, a lot of dancing twerking. And Amir is doing
[00:34:00] the like you said obsessed with my wife thing. He's in his phone, he's texting her not even
[00:34:04] paying attention to what's going on. Hey, babe, what do you think I should eat? And she's just
[00:34:08] like, that's a weird text message to send me. Why did you send that to me? It was that
[00:34:12] meant for somebody else? What's the problem? And then next thing you know, we do see them
[00:34:16] arguing where he's kind of like, what are you talking about? Why would you assinuate that I was
[00:34:21] sending who who wouldn't even make sense for him to be sending that to Sasha?
[00:34:25] That would and it's such a basic ass text. Like I'm confused. Was it is it that like she
[00:34:31] maybe she's intermittent fasting and she doesn't eat on those days? Is that the issue? I don't
[00:34:37] I don't comprehend. It's just like, obviously I texted you this because I wanted to I
[00:34:43] wanted to know what you thought. You know, that's it. Like I was just like, I'm so confused as to
[00:34:50] like who was it was just given because I didn't even catch the text. I was like, I know it's about
[00:34:55] food. That's why now that you're saying it, it sounds even more stupid. Yeah. Where I don't
[00:35:00] understand. But I think when you're in your feelings, it happens. Right. And it's just
[00:35:05] so any two because he is the person who is the most standoffish when it comes to the other
[00:35:09] women in the house. He's kind of like, nope, it's a wall up in season one. We saw that there was
[00:35:13] a little he was trying to get at Jordan a little bit. Jordan was completely not into it at all.
[00:35:19] And so you know that he's now firmly in the friend zone and he's happy there. He's like,
[00:35:23] I'm good. I have a relationship with all this other stuff. So to see him be the one who's
[00:35:28] getting kind of yelled at a little bit about this text message when he is the one who is
[00:35:33] actively avoiding all of the like chaos with the naked people and all that stuff.
[00:35:40] It's very interesting because you know, that is the personification he's giving us, right?
[00:35:45] Like that she just wouldn't she wouldn't go for that kind of stuff. And then instantly we see
[00:35:49] that she don't even like when he sent her text message that she's confused about about food.
[00:35:53] You know, so I'm wondering, I think we're supposed to see her this season. Or do you know
[00:35:59] I've been eventually like, you know, to the end all when Simon is going to come.
[00:36:03] I bet all the plus ones might end up coming. Gotcha. They're gonna like sin for them all at
[00:36:08] the same time. That's what I feel. But again, they might and because Nick's girlfriend came,
[00:36:13] I think just the last episode, last two episodes, something like that. So
[00:36:17] I bet they'll all be there because I'm on her Instagram and like folks are like,
[00:36:23] can't wait to see you on the season and she's not say no.
[00:36:28] Okay, okay. Who else do we have on here? So we talked about Amir. Oh, we haven't talked about
[00:36:34] our new cast, Noel, right? And Noel seems like she's fun. First of all, she's a K.A.
[00:36:42] And she's like, look at me. I'm an A.K.A. And I was like, okay, we could tell,
[00:36:46] you know, like, no. Yep, you got it. She said what she said. And Noel is probably the least
[00:36:53] familiar with the entire friend. She's friends with some of the women, but she doesn't really know
[00:36:57] everybody. And so she is the one who is completely out of the loop on some of this stuff. You know,
[00:37:03] the one thing that one source of drama with Noel is that she's kind of into Alex. She's been
[00:37:08] saying, I think I like Alex, I think I like Alex, I think I like Alex. And she's been going
[00:37:13] to summer, her friend is saying, is everything cool? Like, you know, like not to not to go after
[00:37:18] your boy, but are y'all good? Yeah. I don't know. Well, it's summer says, no, everything's cool.
[00:37:24] It's fine. Everything's fine. There's nothing there. Nothing to see here. And by the time the
[00:37:29] blow up happens when someone's talking about him being inside her, Noel is not even paying to
[00:37:34] say she's always busy eat that day of lobster that she misses the whole conversation. No,
[00:37:38] I think I would cry if I missed out on drama like this. Like I would literally cry.
[00:37:46] Sasha, she didn't see this moment until it came on TV. She watched it with us.
[00:37:50] Yeah. And what's nuts is like they do the slow mo zoom back and she's like getting pelting with
[00:37:56] the butter in her face. Everyone else is fighting. No, well, I love you. Can we be friends?
[00:38:03] But it's just she's so unbothered. And I think I really enjoy it because she's like,
[00:38:07] I know what I like. I know who I like. And that's it. That's what I want. I checked in with my
[00:38:13] friend. My friend said they only hung out. It's all good. Now episode two, she's getting it's
[00:38:18] like a slap in the face because she's like, what do you mean? You're you're freaking you
[00:38:22] have sex. Oh, I don't do that. Right. It's summer kind of trying to flip it on her. It says,
[00:38:29] well, you wrong for even going after a dude that you know I used to like anyway.
[00:38:35] Because summer says hung out mean it's like a loaded term. Sasha hung out me.
[00:38:40] That's you.
[00:38:42] I don't know. No, no, no, that's that. Oh, I almost do somebody under the bus.
[00:38:48] They can't hit Sasha. You know what I'm saying?
[00:38:53] When people kick it. It means nothing else. You know,
[00:38:57] I just feel like sometimes you will like tell me like, oh, we hung out and then I have to
[00:39:01] like be like, oh, they hung out. And then you're like, no, we hung out. Well, that's because
[00:39:05] you'd be asking me that on the podcast. Sasha damn. Or maybe because I asked her if I never
[00:39:11] said right, you you summer me every time you're like, so you'll hung out. Yeah. Okay.
[00:39:17] That's what I call it. Summerhouse is Sasha just airing out my shit at the table.
[00:39:21] Oh, my God. I don't even mean to. I just have to know.
[00:39:26] You have to know right now in front of these people. So yeah, they hung out and summer is
[00:39:32] a summer. No, no, well, it's telling us that had her friend just been upfront about it
[00:39:40] the entire time, she would have never even pursued it. But she always felt like
[00:39:44] summer was saying that everything was good. But summer saying that the hung out should
[00:39:49] have been enough to keep you off of this off of this. So the question is,
[00:39:54] did Noel break girl cold by ignoring the hung out?
[00:39:58] No, I personally felt at least from what we saw right this is an edited show.
[00:40:04] Know that understand that. But anyway, from what we saw it felt also to me that she was like,
[00:40:11] yeah, go ahead. There's no feelings here. Like it was a moment in time. It's giving
[00:40:15] far in the wind, right? Like whatever it happened. Let's move on. But then your reaction to it.
[00:40:23] Sure, will tell me like, oh, I messed up. Like this is not, you know,
[00:40:28] this is more than what I thought it was. So I think Noel unfortunately has to do a lot of
[00:40:31] like deducing of like, hmm, something's still up. And we get the throw away of
[00:40:40] that the D wasn't good anyway. Yeah, that came up. That came up.
[00:40:47] And now why you did that? That's giving salty. It is it is it is because like,
[00:40:55] yeah, there's a way if it wasn't good, all you have to be like, Oh, it was interesting. You
[00:41:02] know, there's ways to be like, Oh, shucks, I was let down. But if you outright say it,
[00:41:07] that means you're messy. Well, she did try to tip toe around it. She was like, Oh, he's very
[00:41:14] she couldn't like really find like a concrete way of saying it was bad. But she definitely said
[00:41:19] that it was bad. You know, she was like, Oh no, it was like it wasn't the same as what I was
[00:41:24] expecting. That's that other but we see what you're doing. But you know what? If it was that
[00:41:28] bad, why why are you so hung up on this thing? You know what I'm saying? Like out of it,
[00:41:32] been like the spell is broken. It never happened. You know, like if it truly was bad, you will be
[00:41:38] like, I don't ever want anything to do with it. I don't even want people to know what it makes a
[00:41:44] it never happened. If the dick wasn't stopping that is it? Okay, that is how you have to live
[00:41:51] your life. So to me, it's like it didn't happen. We didn't even hang out. I don't know what you're
[00:41:54] talking about. It wasn't good. Don't know you don't know you haven't seen you don't
[00:41:59] I never admit to it. I mean, it was so good. Wow. Amazing. Beautiful. Because I'm not letting
[00:42:05] people know I was putting up with bad anything. Yeah. You like and you airing it out at the
[00:42:11] lunch table, you know, I'm saying kind of like, Damn, you down bad. You're like, you know,
[00:42:15] so it wasn't a great look. The reason it came up did her dirty too before the
[00:42:20] de confessional and after the de confessional. Why did that? Yeah. Yeah, they show what
[00:42:26] she was like before it in after and it had been a drastic change. The reason this conversation
[00:42:32] even came up is because the other person in the house we haven't talked about yet is Preston. Preston
[00:42:37] is the only the only queer person in the house and he says he is here like Preston in season one
[00:42:43] is great. He definitely he's like the person who was shutting down a lot of the drama. He's calling
[00:42:48] out a lot of the social issues that are happening around them as well. I really enjoyed
[00:42:52] where he was talking about how, you know, like Black folk love, we love toasting to Black
[00:42:57] excellence and stuff like that. He's like, but what you really mean is like opulence and effluence
[00:43:00] when in reality, anybody can be excellent based on their own circumstance, right? So it's kind of
[00:43:06] like this is the elitist point of view where you look down on other people's
[00:43:09] other people's experiences just because now you're moving in proximity to whiteness,
[00:43:13] right? So like now, oh, we're in Martha's Vineyard. Ooh, la la la. Now Black excellence.
[00:43:18] It's like, no, you were excellent where you were at first as well. You know what I'm
[00:43:21] saying? Just because you're doing well, you know, in a white space or predominantly, you know,
[00:43:24] white area or moving like in the Hamptons, you know, if you will, that doesn't make
[00:43:29] you any more excellent. And so those conversations are cool. He's typically not in a lot of drama,
[00:43:34] but he does get into some to pop off season two. I don't know if the producers nudged him and
[00:43:38] said, hey, you know, spice things up a little bit. Yeah, in season one, like he'll say what's
[00:43:43] on his mind and I think it depends who you say it to, right? Like if there's a Bria, which
[00:43:49] again is what happened at the end of episode one. But I think if you say, if he gets the right person,
[00:43:56] it becomes a little bit of a back and forth. Yeah. So in episode one, we see some drama between
[00:44:02] him and Bria because oh, also Preston is Silas's line brother. They're both members of Alpha
[00:44:07] Phi Alpha fraternity. And so Silas is not there. And so Preston's new bestie in the house is
[00:44:13] Bria. And they have like a really good joking relationship. I guess they bonded since the last
[00:44:20] season when they were in the summer house, they seem to be really, really close. But then the
[00:44:25] alcohol starts getting poured up and you know, the pettiness starts to run rampant. And then
[00:44:31] next thing you know, him and Bria are even at each other's throats. And so it happens,
[00:44:37] they get over it. That's the one thing I will say about Bria. If you come to her to
[00:44:40] a real apology, she typically will just kind of be like, all right, let's let's watch it and move
[00:44:45] on. But Preston is the one who asked Summer how Alex was in bed. And I think her response was
[00:44:51] he's a great kisser. Good cuddler. He's yeah, it's not as passionate as she normally would like
[00:45:04] that's crazy. Why are we seeing this? Yeah, on it look in front of people, I guess there's
[00:45:13] either way brunch shows like they were having a girl talk or whatever. Which is what the point
[00:45:18] of brunch is also are you doing brunch or are you working out? Because there's only two types
[00:45:23] of people in this world. Right. And they were like, Oh yeah, like these people are going to
[00:45:27] work out. And I said, it really depends on the day, you know, because like a 99% of the time,
[00:45:34] I'm like, what a brunch at? Yeah, okay, thank God. But I do like a good crossfit. I do. And so
[00:45:40] I probably I probably would have went to the crossfit but there are so many times where they
[00:45:45] do other functions like other excursions and stuff on this show. And the other opportunity is
[00:45:50] brunch and I'm like, bro, catch me at the brunch because I'm trying to I'm the turn up frame.
[00:45:54] We know this I'm going to be wherever the shots is at. So that's where I would have gone.
[00:45:59] Sadly, some people made the decision the incorrect decision of going to crossfit on this day I would
[00:46:03] have been a brunch. I'm sorry. Yeah, I also think that if I'm a single girlie and the boy I want
[00:46:10] is unfortunately I think I would go after the boy or whatever but not give him any attention.
[00:46:16] And be like, I am. Yeah, well look they give the opportunity to go do either and we see people
[00:46:24] you know choosing their sides but you know typically the guys will go and work out and
[00:46:27] stuff like that. But by the end of the episode there is some unresolved drama amongst a lot
[00:46:35] of the people, particularly Nick, which we don't see a lot of Nick drama you know he's
[00:46:40] always kind of around. He's there he seems to be a nice guy that everybody gets along with
[00:46:45] fairly well. But by the end of this episode people start talking about Nick being a little
[00:46:51] handsy. And this was interesting to watch you know because I'm waiting to see season two
[00:47:03] episode three to see how he handles it because by the end at first he's presented with this
[00:47:08] information. Preston tells them hey, you be touching a lot you know and then we kind
[00:47:13] of get some flashbacks of moments where you know it gets a little touchy and Nick
[00:47:18] looks legitimately concerned like it's not his intention to make anybody feel uncomfortable
[00:47:22] and this that other and then eventually he goes to Jordan in summer's room and just point
[00:47:27] blank asked them if he makes them feel uncomfortable. And so Jordan who does not mince words at all
[00:47:32] ever just completely from the bed says you do be touching people a lot yeah you get handsy.
[00:47:38] And then that's where the episode ends Sasha. What do you think about this for Nick?
[00:47:43] Yeah I think that he was a little bit in shambles and Jordan's like well since you brought it up
[00:47:51] I'm gonna say yes sorry you know not sorry basically. And I think that there is a way
[00:47:58] to tell your friend that you're being a little bit touchy-feely. I think for me personally I just
[00:48:05] and maybe that's on me but like I just don't as a non touchy-feely person I just know how
[00:48:11] to remove myself from situations and it's very easy for personally but I do think that sometimes there are
[00:48:19] people and men especially that get like way too handsy so I think you you gotta tell them I appreciate
[00:48:25] Preston doing it but I wonder if Jordan felt like oh shit where did this come from like I'm just
[00:48:33] in bed sleep trying to take a nap and here you are. So I don't know it's it's weird but
[00:48:40] I think you gotta tell your friend do you like back up but I would just say to your face I just
[00:48:44] be a backup why you always in my space. Yeah personal space like Alex did and people are gonna
[00:48:51] take that differently you know every time but I do appreciate Nick confronting the situation and
[00:48:55] just going and being like even like I said I want to I'm going to leave that open for
[00:48:59] episode three obviously because we have not seen how he deals with this information
[00:49:02] but as of right now if someone accuses you or something like that obviously you'd be very
[00:49:06] apologetic and you go and find out what it is that you're doing so that you can stop
[00:49:09] and so it does look like that's your trajectory that he's on and I don't have any reason to
[00:49:13] believe that it's not you know like right now Nick's never shown us any any aside from his
[00:49:17] DM diving you know what she says is purely platonic um you know he hasn't given us any
[00:49:24] reason to believe that this would be anything that he wouldn't be able to handle you know
[00:49:27] this conversation and so hopefully it takes a turn for the better drama aside though
[00:49:34] there's a lot of fun moments in this episode as we talked about they go to brunch they
[00:49:38] go to CrossFit um they do gymnastics a little bit Alex hurts his arm but there's this party Sasha
[00:49:46] this felt like a Sasha function okay you know let's just call it what it is a decades party Sasha
[00:49:54] this ain't got this ain't got your name on it listen I'm wearing my 90s uh outfit yeah here I am
[00:49:59] I'm ready so you would definitely pick 90s because I feel like you're a 2000s girl no
[00:50:05] I wouldn't actually pick 90s I just picked this dress and I was like oh I can wear it for my
[00:50:09] decades party um no I yeah I for sure would be in my baby fat in my unit jersey dress
[00:50:19] oh my god a moment in time okay this immigrant moves to Oklahoma finds all this stuff I loved it
[00:50:26] yeah I love a good theme I I throw a really fun I I think that's fun New Year's Eve party
[00:50:33] so yeah I just I live for themes and I felt that some people were really missing and some people
[00:50:42] I don't know what Shanice was doing she doesn't even know juice listen listen listen they were talking
[00:50:49] about taking her black car I'm not saying you have to see all black movies but you got to know
[00:50:52] what juice is you know I'm saying before you can come here to the decades party and start
[00:50:56] commenting on the 90s Preston had a really good outfit for the 90s I thought um Shanice
[00:51:02] basically didn't even try she just put basic in her uh Kyra it's a Shanice decade basic question
[00:51:10] yeah I mean we could put a pin in that and talk about the who is the worst dresser drama uh Sasha
[00:51:15] because they said it's Shanice oh my god this was tough man it wasn't they yeah summer said
[00:51:24] it was Shanice she threw her under the west for no reason yeah yeah and Shanice did not take
[00:51:29] this well at all yeah this is okay so Shanice right like goes into her room she's crying she's
[00:51:35] really upset um eventually Bria goes to check in on her and Bria though does say like I mean she did
[00:51:43] she is not the best right whatever but I feel like summer has to know Shanice has issues because
[00:51:52] she's crying and why is she crying because she said that girl knows I can't afford this
[00:51:59] and I can't afford things so I don't understand why this would happen I was in shock yeah Shanice
[00:52:06] is broke right now she could barely afford the trip she had already paid for it essentially before
[00:52:11] so she couldn't there was no point in trying to call it off because it was already paid for
[00:52:14] but she's been unemployed for a while and the person who knows this the most is summer who
[00:52:18] seemingly has no interest in thinking about that when talking about Shanice and her outfit
[00:52:24] I personally do not talk about people's clothes it just for me it just yeah it's just something
[00:52:29] I just it never occurs to me to do it I understand but like after a while like when people are
[00:52:34] dressing up really fancy and it's easy to spot somebody who is not at the same level you know
[00:52:40] fashion wise as everybody else but you know it just for me it always leads to something
[00:52:45] like this because it's like you when if this person was rich they would dress like a rich person
[00:52:50] they're not they're dressing to their means and what's comfortable for them so it's kind of like
[00:52:54] you just have to let them make it but this ain't that group this is a group where they're gonna
[00:52:58] dress up for every function they go go dress up to go out every time and so worst dressed is
[00:53:02] going to come up in a very fashionable group of people it just happened to fall on Shanice
[00:53:07] and it didn't just happen you know like I said summer threw her completely under the bus they
[00:53:11] end up making up for you know making up with each other about it but it was you know summer I don't
[00:53:17] know I don't know how I feel about you right now right it was it was just messy for no reason
[00:53:23] that's how I feel like I think that you you have to know your friend's situation right
[00:53:30] enough to not comment on their looks and how they dress the girls naked all the time anyway
[00:53:36] so I think you could have made a joke like that and I think Shanice would have loved it and she
[00:53:41] would have laughed but instead just to straight up talk about her um outfits while she said she you
[00:53:49] maybe know that she's struggling financially it's gross I don't think it's necessary um and such a
[00:53:56] I would just on purpose say Nick you know that's who I would troll don't push down right we
[00:54:02] know that Nick has probably the most elaborate wardrobe of all these people he's very secure in
[00:54:08] the way that he dresses make fun of Nick he'd have been fine he'd have been fine he'd have been like
[00:54:12] whatever he wouldn't even he wouldn't even pay to you know any attention to you um you know
[00:54:17] summer was just kind of throwing her friend to the bus for some laughs and you know he's like
[00:54:20] I don't know about that one speaking of Nick uh he is dressed as the 70s with his Arthur Ash
[00:54:27] inspired outfit and these people do not know who Arthur Ash is at my mouth feel wide open
[00:54:36] I was like first of all I know y'all not on this show talking about all this black history and
[00:54:40] stuff like that and you don't know who Arthur Ash is and you're telling you're telling this to a
[00:54:45] cappa because Arthur Ash is probably one of the most famous cappers who's ever lived
[00:54:49] I didn't know he was a cappa but that is so text out which is why Nick would dress like him
[00:54:55] right and so yeah it's so they're like oh man I don't know I was like oh my god this is so bad um
[00:55:02] do better y'all do better come on man let's just that's crazy yeah when I was like oh he dresses
[00:55:08] Arthur Ash checks out and they were like who are you who are you and I just ended in the
[00:55:14] conversation ended now cut the camera's dead ass you know listen you don't have to know all
[00:55:18] the black history facts but again a cappa always gonna throw out Arthur Ash at you
[00:55:21] you just gotta have to be ready for that one yeah as a tennis girlie I feel it I mean I don't play
[00:55:27] it's just you know my family is very big on sports so it was that was just someone we always knew
[00:55:34] yeah yeah it's wild yeah uh I think Brea was a rapper uh in her J-Lo right yes or something of
[00:55:42] that nature she because she was she used to be in a rap group apparently um and then Amir dressed
[00:55:47] as Nick and so uh that was so funny yeah Preston ended up winning Nick was very confused as to why that
[00:55:53] was considering he but it's like Nick you dress like that all the time like literally every day
[00:55:57] you just dress up as yourself that happens to also look a lot like Arthur Ash yeah Arthur
[00:56:04] Ash and his everything that's about it you know so it's kind of like all right but um that about
[00:56:08] wraps up everything right now I think was Jason in the house is he back no he isn't here yet
[00:56:14] um he's new he's gonna come later I think um yeah he's from season one yeah who did the
[00:56:22] the dump and run yeah was that him no that wasn't Jason that was uh their other friend I can't think
[00:56:28] of his name because he was only there for a second Jason is the flight attendant who just had a baby
[00:56:32] he had oh my god let me forget sorry yeah I'm back I'm back yeah I think Jason comes in later I
[00:56:39] guess yeah he had a newborn um and so he was like he was like kind of like he felt like he was like new
[00:56:46] to the group um but uh he was starting to fit in a little bit too you know so we're getting kicked
[00:56:51] off left and right so they're like we need somebody who is your non-problematic friend please bring
[00:56:57] now yeah and uh he showed up because yeah we lost two people in season one um very quickly I believe
[00:57:04] Mariah was her name yeah I love her you love Mariah I did too she was fun I was like oh this is it
[00:57:13] this is it like we're gonna get so much info from you know so much like good drama messy drama no
[00:57:21] yeah and then the other guy was Phil who was absolutely absurd I'm sorry yes now that you
[00:57:28] said his name I just I got them confused yeah he was Brea and Shanice's friend he showed up
[00:57:33] and he did in the last 24 hours I think he they might have got him in and out of the house
[00:57:38] in like four hours because they went out that night and so yeah between the time they went out to
[00:57:44] it's oh you have yeah um because there's that one street basically um so I've been there it was crazy
[00:57:51] so so what I'm hearing is we need to plan a trip I mean let me know yeah like we might need to do it
[00:57:57] listen just because uh I want a reason to go uh buy some clothes and walk around and look fancy like
[00:58:03] these people are doing it's pretty much yeah it's a fancy place yeah I mean because we could do this
[00:58:08] in Oklahoma we don't have to do this in the Hamptons be serious but but it'd be more fun in the
[00:58:12] Hamptons you know what I'm saying yeah so so there's that too um but that's about all I have Sasha
[00:58:17] what about you we need to talk about the um a rooming situation that the boys are all in bunk
[00:58:22] beds wild I could not stop laughing listen I do a lot of like I said work in uh Martha's veneered and
[00:58:31] on the cape in general and those houses are huge but they've done a lot to where they'll just put
[00:58:38] like seven beds in one room and you're just like that's not abundance I don't do that so it's
[00:58:44] really hard even like I'm currently trying to find um houses for my cohort anyway but it's wild so
[00:58:52] and I just have to be like oh there's a bunch of um bunk beds no one's staying there like as in that's
[00:58:57] just an open area now yeah all the boys in there besides Prestige's I said come we have a room for
[00:59:04] oh my god that is horror especially the single guy yeah because it's like well now what I mean
[00:59:12] even the single guy and the couples honestly because that's true because they're going to
[00:59:16] visit yeah yeah yeah yeah Nick Amir they both have their girlfriends coming and they're just going
[00:59:20] to be just laid up across from these other guys uh with I'm sorry Alex yeah like Alex is going to be
[00:59:27] there um um you know like uh silence is gone so there's I mean there's a lot less sex having
[00:59:34] happening in the house right now but yeah it's fascinating to me that they would even give them
[00:59:38] a home with bunk beds I no that's just how those areas no no that's just how those houses are
[00:59:45] yeah but I mean there wasn't any other house I opened because the first season they were not
[00:59:49] in bunk beds they now the rooms were not great the first season either I think these a lot more people
[00:59:56] have their own rooms um but they don't have I think they need a lot of space they need a lot actually
[01:00:04] most backyards in that area are huge yeah so they just they need a lot of space and I think
[01:00:10] they were like well everyone else gets bunk beds oh it gets their own room no one really has to
[01:00:15] share right I don't think anyone else is sharing so just the guys yeah yeah so I think there's a
[01:00:21] pick and choose on that yeah I mean they even had a pool house last time where Mariah and I
[01:00:26] think someone was living upstairs from Mariah there's a lot of those yeah um kinds of houses
[01:00:31] there uh as well so it's just it was I just mind it very funny because if you're trying to you
[01:00:37] know in the middle of the night you must see a girl you're thinking of your girl she shucks
[01:00:44] yeah um S.O.L basically it's pretty bad but it'll look they'll be okay they'll they'll work it out
[01:00:52] they're only there for roughly 15 days anyway very quiet right yeah look look you go you don't
[01:00:59] have to sleep there you know find you a nice person to hang out with that's outside of the house
[01:01:03] and go stay with them you know who knows um that said uh Simon also is coming at some point
[01:01:09] Bri is uh Bri is boyfriend so the house will get big like more full as we go on throughout the season
[01:01:15] Sasha I think one fun game we could play throughout this this whole podcast recap
[01:01:20] so we're doing we're gonna plan a trip to Martha's Vineyard for the podcasters we're doing it okay
[01:01:26] oh my god can you never happen but the listeners of this podcast we are going to help so if you
[01:01:32] are familiar with the RHAP network we're going to be talking about those podcasters and
[01:01:36] where we're going to put them in in these spots um if you're not familiar then you'll hear a bunch
[01:01:40] of names that you don't care about but yeah we're gonna uh just yeah casually Sasha I might be like
[01:01:45] who would you put in the bunk bed room you know I'm saying obviously it'll be the guys so
[01:01:49] I'm not don't you dare just because I always end up in this situation as the shortest person
[01:01:55] and I know those beds are really small they were really small I'm a tall I kind of need my
[01:02:01] own bed I need my own room sorry y'all I'll pay extra but look they'll look up and I'll be staying
[01:02:08] off campus like I'll be at a different place oh yeah I'm so familiar with the area I'd be like
[01:02:15] I'm out I know who is getting the bunk bed we have to give it
[01:02:21] hmm Matt would be an interesting one that's a bunk bed person yeah for sure
[01:02:29] and Matt doesn't drink either right so I feel like Matt wouldn't be sloppy yeah might be a good roommate
[01:02:35] though because he's yeah that's what I was saying I just think Matt would be a good roommate
[01:02:42] would it be people that's to know or that's another thing because I know I will die yeah that's
[01:02:47] too much that's too much listen we have plenty of time to talk about that this season as well
