Chappell is back for another rendition of Recap Kickback, where we chop it up weekly about entertainment and whatever else Chappell wants to talk about.
Chappell and his Below Deck Recap Cohost Sasha (@Funsize_04) from the Bravo RHAP Up Podcast feed on RHAP are reunited to take on another Bravo TV show — Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard.
Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard follows ten young Black professionals and entrepreneurs as they head to Martha’s Vineyard, an island south of Cape Cod that was one of the first beach destinations where African-Americans could vacation and purchase property. The show follows these fun millennials on their annual vacation trip to the “Black Hamptons” and all the fun and drama that ensues while they are there.
This week, Chappell (@Chappells_Show) and Sasha (@Funsize_04) review and recap Season 2 episodes 5 & 6 — “The Worst Kept Secret” & “A Perfect Summer Storm”
Previous Episode: The Boondocks vs Good Times: Black Again

[00:00:00] Recap Kickback Family, it's Chapelle and I am back again to talk about another episode
[00:00:23] of Summer House Martha's Vineyard.
[00:00:25] Every other week, Sasha and I are going to be bringing you a two episode recap of Summer House Martha's Vineyard on Bravo.
[00:00:33] This is new to Recap Kickback, new for Chapelle, but obviously I'm knee deep in it.
[00:00:38] Right?
[00:00:39] I'm learning all the things to know about the Bravo universe.
[00:00:41] And I had to bring in my certified Bravo expert, my cohost from the RHAP Bravo
[00:00:49] Wrap Up podcast where we talk about Below Deck, Below Deck Down Under, Below Deck
[00:00:53] Selling Yacht, Below Deck, basically all the Below Decks except for Adventure.
[00:00:58] And so that said, joining me of course, my cohost Sasha Joseph.
[00:01:04] Sasha, what's up?
[00:01:05] Oh, so excited.
[00:01:07] What a great two episodes.
[00:01:09] I feel like this episode six specifically was made for us.
[00:01:14] So I am so excited to talk through this.
[00:01:17] Yes, me too.
[00:01:18] Again, if you were listening to this, this is our Summer House Martha's Vineyard coverage.
[00:01:23] Summer House only happens in the summer.
[00:01:24] And so we will be back next summer I'm assuming.
[00:01:27] Over only 15 days.
[00:01:28] Right.
[00:01:28] And it's only 15 days.
[00:01:30] So this is a short segment for me and Sasha, but we love talking about this show
[00:01:34] and we're hoping that you're enjoying it.
[00:01:36] So if you are, leave us a five star reviews.
[00:01:38] Let us know what you think in the comments because I've been loving the
[00:01:40] feedback that we've been getting in the comment section as well.
[00:01:43] So I do want to make sure we highlight those people because anybody could just
[00:01:48] listen to the podcast, but we really do appreciate the presentation and like the
[00:01:52] participation as well of people who actually take the time.
[00:01:56] Yeah.
[00:01:56] Cause it is like, we're not talking to ourselves, right?
[00:01:58] We're talking to the group, talking to the family here, Recap Kickback.
[00:02:01] And so yeah, if you have been giving any feedback, of course, we want to read that.
[00:02:05] We want to make sure that you all are giving feedback.
[00:02:07] Go to recapkickback.com slash subscribe to subscribe.
[00:02:10] Leave us a five star review and let us know that you're enjoying the
[00:02:14] podcast and that you're enjoying this season of Summer House Martha's Vineyard.
[00:02:18] Especially if you're new to this show.
[00:02:19] Right.
[00:02:19] Yeah.
[00:02:20] Like you introduced me to this show, but I'm assuming everybody had been watching.
[00:02:23] I don't hear a lot of people talking about it.
[00:02:25] Yeah.
[00:02:26] I will say it came with like season one.
[00:02:30] It felt like a bang, right?
[00:02:31] Like everyone was like, Oh my God, where has the show been all my life?
[00:02:35] Right.
[00:02:35] It was giving OG Jersey Shore, right?
[00:02:38] That's the energy I was getting.
[00:02:41] And then we've talked about the season two, I think fizzled out a little bit.
[00:02:46] But listen, if we can bring that back and get people excited about Martha's Vineyard,
[00:02:52] that's all I want.
[00:02:53] That's all I want.
[00:02:54] Yeah.
[00:02:55] So some of the feedback we got was from Cubstar Mania who says that Mariah,
[00:02:59] I wouldn't even say put her hands on Bria, but in the playback, she
[00:03:03] literally did the same thing Bria did.
[00:03:04] She just pushed the clothes into her hands and didn't, like you said,
[00:03:08] Sasha, Summer actually fight Bria at the point that production came from
[00:03:12] behind the camera.
[00:03:13] So that did happen for sure.
[00:03:15] And so yeah, Bria is dramatic and we will definitely talk about Bria in these
[00:03:20] episodes, but we are definitely going to have to talk about Summer because her
[00:03:25] name being Summer and being on Summer's House, Martha's Vineyard, it fits.
[00:03:29] I mean, they're even naming the episodes with her in mind.
[00:03:32] This is the second or third time where the episode has been named after
[00:03:36] Summer because she is going through.
[00:03:39] Yeah.
[00:03:40] Well, she ain't going through a lot Sasha.
[00:03:41] There's got to be like, we really got to get to the bottom of this.
[00:03:43] She needs to go see the...
[00:03:44] Yeah.
[00:03:45] Yeah, many ladies, unfortunately, I think are needed to fix this mess.
[00:03:50] And not only that, it's just I will say Alex was on Watch What Happens Live
[00:03:55] and we'll talk through this.
[00:03:56] I have so many feelings about that too.
[00:03:58] But and if you don't know what Watch What Happens Live is,
[00:04:01] Andy Cohen every night hosts a like a talk show basically, but it's live.
[00:04:07] Anyway, what I have to say is Alex's whole segment was about Summer.
[00:04:13] Mm.
[00:04:14] Okay.
[00:04:14] Yeah.
[00:04:15] Well, go ahead and let us in.
[00:04:16] Tell us more.
[00:04:17] What happened?
[00:04:18] Ooh, are we...
[00:04:19] Ooh, okay.
[00:04:19] Let's do it.
[00:04:20] I mean, we can, yeah, let's get into it.
[00:04:21] Okay, okay.
[00:04:22] Let's get into it.
[00:04:23] This is new information.
[00:04:24] Yeah.
[00:04:24] Yeah.
[00:04:24] Yeah.
[00:04:25] So Candy and Alex, Candy, formerly from Real Housewives of Atlanta, but you
[00:04:30] know Candy was on worldwide baby is on with Alex.
[00:04:38] But when I tell you Alex brought the drama and here's the thing,
[00:04:42] again, before I start, this was a master class in F boy.
[00:04:48] Okay.
[00:04:48] The girls just stay away that like there is no beating.
[00:04:52] This is about the final.
[00:04:54] Like big boss.
[00:04:55] Yeah.
[00:04:55] The browser.
[00:04:56] Yes.
[00:04:56] Yeah.
[00:04:57] This is it.
[00:04:58] Stay away.
[00:04:59] I'm just, that's my PSA and here's why.
[00:05:03] So of course, like they asked him like, Hey, what's your reaction to
[00:05:06] this Bree and Summer fight?
[00:05:08] And he's like, it's not, I'm not surprised.
[00:05:10] Summer's been going through a hard time and you know, he agreed to me or
[00:05:13] should have probably whatever.
[00:05:15] Uh, and he did that.
[00:05:15] He was like, uh, Phil is full of shit.
[00:05:18] No pun intended.
[00:05:20] But then there's a segment called Ken Alex take the summer heat.
[00:05:26] Hmm.
[00:05:27] And Andy quotes what summer said, of course in the hot tub, which I
[00:05:33] will not repeat, I will not.
[00:05:36] Um, and candy was like, like visibly shocked.
[00:05:40] Like she gasped out loud when Andy said it and he was like, wasn't me.
[00:05:44] That's what happened.
[00:05:45] It's verbatim.
[00:05:46] So of course he asked, Hey, were your hangouts, you know, before the show
[00:05:51] romantic or friends with benefits because summer was, you know, leading
[00:05:55] us, blah, blah, blah.
[00:05:56] And the last time summer was on, he was citing a lot of like, you
[00:05:59] know, Hey, last time summer was on, she said this.
[00:06:01] So anyway, of course he said friends with benefits.
[00:06:05] Then he said, how would you, Andy asked, how would you rate yourself as a
[00:06:08] lover since the last time summer was on watch what happens life?
[00:06:13] She said, well, only one of us orgasmed and it wasn't me.
[00:06:17] Hmm.
[00:06:18] And Alex said F boy masterclass.
[00:06:23] Like I said, I'm an amazing lover, but you got to earn the love.
[00:06:27] Oh, I don't give love to everybody.
[00:06:30] Okay.
[00:06:31] That that wasn't love.
[00:06:33] Exactly what that is.
[00:06:34] Whoa.
[00:06:35] Yeah.
[00:06:38] Right?
[00:06:39] Like I was just like, Oh my God.
[00:06:43] And candy, like I said, candy's reactions very similar to ours.
[00:06:47] And Andy was loving it, eating it up.
[00:06:50] Then he goes, did you, okay.
[00:06:51] Then summer again, when she was on watch what happens life said like,
[00:06:55] maybe Alex, I think had the L word bubbling up over.
[00:07:00] When I tell you this man laughed out loud, like he was not, he didn't even answer.
[00:07:05] I like all he could muster was no, cause he was laughing.
[00:07:11] Summer my sweet summer child come closer.
[00:07:14] Come on summer.
[00:07:14] Come on.
[00:07:15] We me and Sasha y'all, if you're new to our coverage of a Bravo shows,
[00:07:20] right?
[00:07:20] Well we have to do this.
[00:07:21] It's just a propelling Sasha staple, but to bring in these people,
[00:07:25] these people who are the F girls, the F boys, all the people in their
[00:07:29] orbit and we have to talk to them and let them know when they're in
[00:07:31] over their head and when they need to stand up for themselves or just
[00:07:34] stand up in general summer.
[00:07:35] Come here, listen to me.
[00:07:37] This is not what you want.
[00:07:38] You don't want these problems.
[00:07:39] Sasha.
[00:07:40] She went, she looked, she watched what, what happened live.
[00:07:42] She vetted it.
[00:07:43] This is not for you.
[00:07:45] Everything you can, you say can and will be used against you.
[00:07:48] Okay.
[00:07:49] So stop it.
[00:07:49] Stop bringing up what Alex thinks.
[00:07:51] Well, you don't know this man no more.
[00:07:53] Move on, move on.
[00:07:54] Stop talking about it.
[00:07:55] Cause he got you in a blender.
[00:07:56] Cause everything he just did on watch what happened live would have any
[00:07:59] sane person ready to burn down his house.
[00:08:01] And so just like step away from that.
[00:08:03] Move away from it, move on.
[00:08:05] We don't have to live like this.
[00:08:07] And to Alex, do your thing baby.
[00:08:12] Look, what do you want me to say?
[00:08:14] He's doing it.
[00:08:14] No, that's what I can't, I can't.
[00:08:16] It's I as again, like I will always try to like be like, this is how
[00:08:22] you get him know this is it final boss stay away from this man.
[00:08:27] And the thing is again, the girls that know, no, he was wearing, um, you
[00:08:32] know, to the naked eye red and white.
[00:08:35] But we know it was crimson and creep.
[00:08:42] That capital witchcraft.
[00:08:45] I was like, I'm telling you, it's just like he put his armor on
[00:08:47] and he went to battle.
[00:08:49] Don't get caught in these blenders.
[00:08:51] Yeah.
[00:08:53] Leave him alone.
[00:08:55] It just gets better as in like it just kept getting worse.
[00:08:59] And I know there's a line you're going to use.
[00:09:01] So I just, that was going to be my final nail in this.
[00:09:04] I'm definitely holding onto that.
[00:09:06] Everybody needs to earn the love.
[00:09:08] Like I put that with it right here.
[00:09:10] We know that for you.
[00:09:10] Yes.
[00:09:11] Yeah.
[00:09:16] So then, you know, it's like, okay, did some are taking that picture of you,
[00:09:20] right?
[00:09:21] Which was a big point in the show or at least episode one.
[00:09:26] You know, was that a red flag?
[00:09:27] He goes, that was just the first red flag.
[00:09:30] So everyone's like, Oh my God, tell us more.
[00:09:32] Tell us more.
[00:09:33] He's like, well, I think we might run out of time.
[00:09:37] Well, while we have time with it, you know, come on, come on, give it.
[00:09:41] Yeah, literally your Andy Cohen.
[00:09:43] So Andy's like, no, okay.
[00:09:44] Give me like the headline.
[00:09:45] He goes at a housewarming ceremony.
[00:09:48] She introduced herself to the real estate agent as autumn.
[00:09:54] Oh, so Andy was like, so by.
[00:09:57] A different name.
[00:09:59] And he's like, yes, correct.
[00:10:01] And candy goes scammer.
[00:10:07] I mean, unless she had a reason, right?
[00:10:10] Cause we know girls will give fake names out, you know, dudes do it too.
[00:10:14] You know, you out party in or whatever.
[00:10:17] You don't want your shenanigans to be attached.
[00:10:20] You're not yourself that night and that's okay.
[00:10:22] We support that kind of behavior, but at a house warming,
[00:10:26] I, the thing is he came locked and loaded.
[00:10:31] You see what I'm saying?
[00:10:33] Like it could have been totally innocent.
[00:10:35] It could have been like this person is a stalker, right?
[00:10:37] Like we don't know, but the way he's telling it, it's curtains.
[00:10:42] Yeah.
[00:10:42] But see, that's the thing.
[00:10:43] She started it a lot of times.
[00:10:47] A lot of times with Alex, he is being left alone.
[00:10:49] He is minding his own business.
[00:10:50] Literally on the show.
[00:10:52] Yeah.
[00:10:52] And then someone is like, Alex, what do you think about such a such?
[00:10:55] And he's like, I don't know.
[00:10:57] And then Alex and they start to pry and then all of the stuff starts coming out.
[00:11:01] Cause that's how we found out about, uh, about the stalker situation with
[00:11:05] Janiece.
[00:11:05] That's how, you know, it was Alex who had the information, but also Alex
[00:11:09] who was not prepared to release the information because he's like,
[00:11:12] I'm not really into that.
[00:11:14] It is.
[00:11:15] It really is.
[00:11:15] It's like, bro, don't come to me with bullshit because I mean,
[00:11:18] knowing the stuff, I just don't want to be involved in that kind of
[00:11:21] stuff.
[00:11:21] Screenshots, timeline proof.
[00:11:23] Yeah.
[00:11:24] And I definitely am like, I'm the type to like, I have the timeline.
[00:11:26] Like boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
[00:11:28] This happened.
[00:11:28] But again, you started it.
[00:11:30] Why are you bringing me up and watch what happens?
[00:11:31] Like you should have said no comment and moved on.
[00:11:34] And that would have been easy.
[00:11:34] I'd have came on here saying thing, saying courtesy, but you want
[00:11:37] to start talking about the L word and stuff like that.
[00:11:39] I will teach you about the L word real quick.
[00:11:40] I was like, Ooh, this is tough, man.
[00:11:44] I mean, again, snaps for my boy.
[00:11:46] He did it.
[00:11:47] I can't, I can't even fight it.
[00:11:48] We lost girls.
[00:11:50] We lost the girls down.
[00:11:51] It is okay.
[00:11:52] City girls are buried at this point.
[00:11:55] It's okay because the one thing Sasha and I have learned is that
[00:11:57] the pendulum will swing.
[00:11:59] Okay.
[00:11:59] It'll come back in the other direction.
[00:12:00] Dylan will try to kiss someone else again on Belinda.
[00:12:03] Right.
[00:12:03] There are plenty of dry roll shows where it is just the
[00:12:06] opposite and we will have plenty of time to talk about that.
[00:12:09] Yeah, we lost girls.
[00:12:11] We have completely lost.
[00:12:12] Then he goes, Oh, you know, but like, is the photo really
[00:12:15] the main reason why you fizzled out?
[00:12:16] Right?
[00:12:16] Like Andy's really trying.
[00:12:17] He goes, no, it was just an early sign.
[00:12:20] Everyone listen, write this down.
[00:12:23] That expectations were different.
[00:12:25] It seems like I wanted one thing, but she wanted everyone
[00:12:30] else to know that we were a thing.
[00:12:35] Well, somebody start the counter for how many times she says he was inside me.
[00:12:40] You know, literally I should have just had that playing every time.
[00:12:44] I didn't know come multiple.
[00:12:47] Yeah.
[00:12:47] Well, you shouldn't have done that because it wasn't
[00:12:49] happening for you apparently.
[00:12:50] Right?
[00:12:52] What are we doing?
[00:12:54] Right.
[00:12:54] We're letting anyone finish and you're not fit.
[00:12:57] First of all, you name and shame and then you finish in front of it.
[00:13:02] Don't piss me off now, please.
[00:13:04] Listen, thank you for the watch.
[00:13:06] What happened?
[00:13:07] Yeah, but we're recording this later.
[00:13:09] Yeah, it's very late.
[00:13:11] Uh, but yeah, this was the watch what happens live corner of the podcast.
[00:13:14] Thank you so much, Sasha for our last thing.
[00:13:17] Sorry.
[00:13:18] Of course.
[00:13:18] Go ahead.
[00:13:19] Sorry.
[00:13:19] There there is more.
[00:13:20] He did call her crazy ex-girlfriend after, um, she said, Hey, you.
[00:13:26] Summer called your hookup a five.
[00:13:29] He said that's rich considering before she, the day before she came on
[00:13:33] watch what happens live, she was leaving me voice.
[00:13:35] Now it's like a crazy ex-girlfriend kept going, kept going more and more
[00:13:41] Alex will you settle down?
[00:13:46] I don't want to settle down.
[00:13:49] Why would we even say the word settle?
[00:13:51] I want to fall in love.
[00:13:53] That's why the EP that I'm promoting is about is my deepest expression of
[00:14:01] how I want to fall in love.
[00:14:04] That man said, get my, my album is dropping.
[00:14:06] Get it checked.
[00:14:07] Get the check my sound cloud link, baby.
[00:14:09] If you want more information, you know where to find it.
[00:14:12] Drop them coins.
[00:14:17] Nah, that's perfect.
[00:14:18] That man said, okay, you want to do a tour?
[00:14:19] Oh, let's talk.
[00:14:20] Because I'm a drop an album.
[00:14:23] I'm gonna have people come into the concerts.
[00:14:27] This song is for you.
[00:14:28] You went Todd, like networking.
[00:14:31] Yeah.
[00:14:32] Alex working with Katie is a great, is a great idea because, uh, you know,
[00:14:37] uh, say what you want about candy singing, you know, some people don't
[00:14:39] love it, some people do, but, uh, she can write some songs.
[00:14:42] Okay.
[00:14:43] Like the hits got her name on it.
[00:14:44] So she's a, was promoting the whiz.
[00:14:47] So that's why it's like, he's trying to get, he is trying to be
[00:14:51] booked and busy like candy.
[00:14:52] Anyway, there was a lot more stuff, but this was like, unfortunately,
[00:14:56] I know it was long, but the highlights.
[00:14:57] No, we needed to talk about it.
[00:15:00] Okay.
[00:15:00] So the, uh, and we will touch on a lot of that during this recap.
[00:15:04] So let's just take it day by day.
[00:15:07] They six of the first episode.
[00:15:09] So they six, um, we get the Jasmine storyline, Jasmine storyline
[00:15:13] is, is, uh, it's kind of like tragic as it is right now because she's,
[00:15:17] she's going through right now.
[00:15:18] It's very short and sweet, right?
[00:15:19] She has a baby on the way Silas won't be able to be there for the
[00:15:22] birth of the baby.
[00:15:23] And in fact, they might increase his deployment to where he doesn't
[00:15:26] get to stay once the baby is born anyway, he might have to go back.
[00:15:29] So she's going through.
[00:15:30] And at the end of last episode, we saw that finally bubble up, but
[00:15:34] the funniest part about the Jasmine, uh, like new Jasmine baby, which
[00:15:37] we know is here and healthy, um, is that everyone knew that she was pregnant
[00:15:42] except Amir everybody else seemed to picked up on this such that
[00:15:45] there's no world where I miss this.
[00:15:46] There's no world.
[00:15:48] I really think is Amir, I think is very involved with his relationship.
[00:15:53] So he's, you know, trying to stay away from the girls and that equals
[00:15:56] the married and pregnant ones.
[00:15:58] Right.
[00:15:59] Uh, because everybody caught on, you know, like mocktails.
[00:16:03] That's a red flag.
[00:16:04] Um, first of all, Silas when she is the craziest without him.
[00:16:09] She's like, she ain't got Silas around and she's not drinking.
[00:16:12] Stop it.
[00:16:12] Shenanigans.
[00:16:13] Um, also, I mean, Nick picks up on all the signs.
[00:16:16] He's like, no scene at a mile away.
[00:16:18] Uh, everybody sees it.
[00:16:20] Worst kept secret in the house is that the girl is pregnant.
[00:16:23] Um, but like, like we said, Amir, he don't quite get it.
[00:16:26] Um, but, but did you notice the dress?
[00:16:30] Do you know what dress that is?
[00:16:32] Uh, yeah.
[00:16:34] So listen, this for my, my th the dress that she announced her pregnancy
[00:16:39] in is the 13 going on 30 like dress.
[00:16:42] Like that's that famous, like Jenna's dress.
[00:16:46] So I just needed to call it out.
[00:16:48] That's all.
[00:16:49] No, it's funny too, because she, yeah, she, um, she had a lot of moments
[00:16:55] too when it comes to like the reveal, right?
[00:16:56] Like, so she has like the blue, uh, the blue candles and stuff like that.
[00:17:01] She's trying to hint that there's not only is she pregnant, but it is a boy
[00:17:04] and she does, they have a nice, like welcome back for the baby.
[00:17:09] Cause they finally acknowledged that there's another member of the
[00:17:11] party at the, at the dinner.
[00:17:12] But, um, as far as Jasmine is concerned, she does acknowledge that she's
[00:17:19] contributed to a lot of the toxic situation when it comes to Shanice
[00:17:23] and Alex, because again, uh, I'm sorry.
[00:17:26] Yeah.
[00:17:26] Alex was not going to say anything at all.
[00:17:29] He wasn't, they kept bringing it up.
[00:17:31] Alex kept deflecting.
[00:17:32] And then you see Jasmine kind of being like, well, Alex, what is that about?
[00:17:35] You know?
[00:17:35] And so then, yeah, we see her and Shanice kind of have to hug it out
[00:17:39] in a way.
[00:17:40] Cause she's like, I spent a bunch of money on a lawyer.
[00:17:42] Like my life is in shambles and you kind of facilitated it for your little TV
[00:17:46] show.
[00:17:47] So we don't get a ton from Jasmine in these episodes, but I do, I like that
[00:17:51] she's kind of like on the trajectory to be in everybody's good graces again.
[00:17:55] Yeah.
[00:17:56] Here's the thing.
[00:17:57] Is she on everybody's good graces or have they just left her behind?
[00:18:01] Yeah.
[00:18:01] They're like, she's pregnant.
[00:18:02] We're not, we're not.
[00:18:03] Yeah.
[00:18:04] That's what I have started to feel, especially in the next episode, right?
[00:18:08] Where there's drama here, drama there, this happening, that happening.
[00:18:12] And Jasmine is just every shot is her just hanging out, vibing.
[00:18:16] Which I mean is good because it's like enjoy your summer, right?
[00:18:19] And you're pregnant.
[00:18:19] You don't need any stress, but at the same time, yeah, it feels kind of
[00:18:22] different than what we known for because we know them all to be
[00:18:26] engulfed in everybody's mess.
[00:18:27] And so for Jasmine just to be like, la la la la la, kind of on her own.
[00:18:31] It does feel like they maybe have not welcomed her back into whatever
[00:18:34] foes she was in.
[00:18:35] I mean, we'd never see her in Jordan top at all.
[00:18:37] Yeah.
[00:18:38] We know that ancient is Dunzo.
[00:18:40] Um, the other big player in these two episodes is Bria who I've been, you
[00:18:46] know, very protective over in the past because I was like, I definitely saw
[00:18:48] her side of the story a lot of times in season one this season, this
[00:18:51] season, she started off like, it's not on the great foot with me, you
[00:18:56] know, like I was like, Bria, come on, man, like everything doesn't
[00:18:59] have to be a blow up.
[00:19:00] It doesn't have to be all like so huge of a deal.
[00:19:04] Um, but she's still on the Phil and Mariah thing.
[00:19:06] She's telling Preston, if I did what you did or if I did to you, what
[00:19:11] Mariah did to me or whatever, as well, or Phil or whatever, then I would,
[00:19:15] I would not expect you to still be friends with that person.
[00:19:17] And yet here Preston is saying, I'm good with Phil and Mariah coming back.
[00:19:21] You know, Phil, Preston eventually does have to have that
[00:19:24] conversation to get there, but Bria has no interest in being
[00:19:28] friends with Mariah at first.
[00:19:29] So she's just kind of like thrown off as to why someone
[00:19:32] could disrespect her like that.
[00:19:33] But none of her friends really have her back.
[00:19:36] Yeah, it's just hypocrisy on hypocrisy.
[00:19:38] That's what it feels like with Bria where again, even when they come back
[00:19:42] right in the neck, they're actually there.
[00:19:45] She's still, I feel like struggling and like not really giving good,
[00:19:51] cool, she's a little bit cold to Mariah, I feel compared to how I think
[00:19:54] there's a lot of expectations on how everyone should act with Phil.
[00:19:58] So that that's where actually I get caught up and tripped up.
[00:20:01] And at the end of the day, Preston isn't the number one person that
[00:20:04] had the issue with Alex, but maybe they just forgot Alex because he's
[00:20:08] just like meditating somewhere.
[00:20:10] Or shoot or Nick, you know, Nick who had a Nick issue with Phil,
[00:20:14] you know, but they're trying to make sure Preston was okay with it
[00:20:17] because I think Preston was the one who was more willing to put his
[00:20:20] foot down, I guess, and say like, absolutely not.
[00:20:22] But Preston and Bria's friendship is so weird to me because they
[00:20:27] clearly have bonded since the last summer when they got close and their
[00:20:30] closeness includes knockout drag out fights where they're just yelling
[00:20:34] at each other and saying horrible things about each other.
[00:20:36] You're a brat, you're a drama queen, blah, blah, blah.
[00:20:39] To the point where I really feel like they shouldn't drink and have
[00:20:42] these conversations, I should, because a lot of this stuff is getting
[00:20:45] lost in translation when it comes to Bria and later on we'll see with
[00:20:48] Summer where once they start drinking, it's like the world is against them.
[00:20:52] You know, at some point she's like, yeah, call me a ho if you want to.
[00:20:56] And Nick's like, I didn't call you a ho.
[00:20:58] She's like, I heard you call me a ho.
[00:20:59] I was like, I did not actually call you a ho.
[00:21:01] He said sweet dreams or something.
[00:21:03] Yeah.
[00:21:04] Right.
[00:21:04] He's like, yeah, he said sweet dreams or something.
[00:21:07] She's like, you call me a drag queen ho or something.
[00:21:09] Yeah.
[00:21:10] What's happening?
[00:21:11] So yeah, I just really wish that they would stop drinking because by
[00:21:14] the end of this all of this episode, it ends with Bria looking at Nick
[00:21:20] and Alex and all these other people that are like, so have you ever
[00:21:23] heard of an emotional support sleeper?
[00:21:25] Like, do you want to do that with me?
[00:21:27] And Sasha, she doesn't see any issue with this.
[00:21:30] I know you see an issue with this.
[00:21:31] She's just saying it out loud.
[00:21:32] You see what I'm saying?
[00:21:33] Like some things you just have to keep inside your mind and write it in your diary.
[00:21:39] If you're single, fine.
[00:21:40] I think you can say it, but I just know like, why would you share a bed with
[00:21:50] another person?
[00:21:53] Because what?
[00:21:54] Like it was not computing for me.
[00:21:55] I was like, what do you mean?
[00:21:57] Comfort sleeper?
[00:21:58] Like that's weird because, and there are people that come and cuddle you
[00:22:02] that very much is, I think my own personal nightmare to be cuddled.
[00:22:07] Please don't grab me.
[00:22:09] Why?
[00:22:09] What's the reason?
[00:22:10] Just sleep on your...
[00:22:11] No, but I know that like folks need that, but get a weighted blanket,
[00:22:16] get the boyfriend pillow, you know, and then go and live with Simon as
[00:22:21] necessary because Lord knows apparently you're fighting because you don't
[00:22:24] cook and clean for him.
[00:22:27] Yeah.
[00:22:28] Simon's anxiety goes through the roof when she's not around to be the
[00:22:31] homemaker.
[00:22:31] And so she's his emotional support sleeper and hers is Milo.
[00:22:36] So I guess they can't go anywhere without me.
[00:22:40] Milo is destroying the house.
[00:22:41] And when I got more, I got worse for Milo too.
[00:22:44] But yeah, this is weird.
[00:22:45] Why is it weird?
[00:22:46] Because Bria doesn't see an issue with it at all.
[00:22:48] And so Nick says, hmm, okay.
[00:22:51] Imagine Simon opening the door and you open the door and he's like, Oh,
[00:22:55] this is this woman here.
[00:22:56] She's just my emotional sleep support.
[00:22:59] How would you feel?
[00:22:59] And I think at that point Bria finally went, Oh, okay.
[00:23:02] I get it because it's just a wild thing to be talking about, but she does
[00:23:07] make it through the night.
[00:23:08] She doesn't need the emotional support.
[00:23:10] And so by day seven, they're kind of reeling from that night before
[00:23:13] there's apologies being made per usual, Preston and Bria makeup.
[00:23:17] But Shanice is actually who I want to focus on here because she's not
[00:23:23] still mad at Alex, but it's still awkward.
[00:23:25] And she does apologize for saying that she hates him because she
[00:23:28] doesn't hate him.
[00:23:29] He just kind of was the catalyst for her ending up in a lot of drama.
[00:23:33] And I'm sure she's hated him for a long time because of that.
[00:23:35] Um, but in this episode they go play basketball and we find out
[00:23:39] that Shanice was a college Hooper.
[00:23:41] She's just a bit rusty and she does twist her ankle or something.
[00:23:45] So she's down for the count.
[00:23:46] The rest of the two episodes, like she's legit crawling across the
[00:23:49] floor for the majority of these episodes.
[00:23:52] Can we just laugh one second?
[00:23:54] I, because I feel like this is a sign of aging is that you go to go
[00:23:59] play basketball and then you come back and you're in crunches.
[00:24:02] You're like, what happened?
[00:24:03] Yeah.
[00:24:03] Kale as old as time.
[00:24:05] I did something that I'm used to doing.
[00:24:06] I haven't done it in 10 years, but it's like riding a bike, right?
[00:24:09] And then you're like, oh my God, bikes didn't hurt like this last time.
[00:24:12] It happened to my husband and I was like, this is embarrassed.
[00:24:15] Like you just tap out.
[00:24:16] We don't play basketball anymore.
[00:24:18] But there's some things that are not for you anymore.
[00:24:20] You know what I'm saying?
[00:24:21] Like I look, I have to acknowledge.
[00:24:23] I like your boys getting old.
[00:24:24] And so I'm like, Hey, look, I used to, could do it.
[00:24:27] No, even some dance moves.
[00:24:29] I'd be like, you know, don't can't can't do that one no more.
[00:24:31] You know, like that or you got to stretch first before you do that stuff.
[00:24:35] Like, you know, you can take some maintenance back when she was in college.
[00:24:38] She was probably working out every day.
[00:24:41] All that kind of stuff.
[00:24:41] It's been a while, you know, just being naked, naked, slip and slide
[00:24:44] is not going to keep you, you know, in an athletic shape
[00:24:47] to go and play basketball randomly.
[00:24:50] I mean, she had a dish and these like she's eating chicken wings
[00:24:53] at two in the morning and still has that body.
[00:24:56] Right.
[00:24:57] It's a chicken wings in bed.
[00:24:59] Yeah.
[00:25:00] And she gets to see all the drama because Shanice, from the moment
[00:25:04] she goes down, she's just like in the bed with her crutches.
[00:25:08] She's kind of out of the way.
[00:25:09] Yeah.
[00:25:09] All the drama is surrounding her.
[00:25:11] She's on the edge of her seat the entire time.
[00:25:12] I'm loving Shanice in these episodes.
[00:25:14] I know.
[00:25:14] And the thing is she's not part of it.
[00:25:17] She's just like, how do I minimize myself?
[00:25:20] But I still want to watch it all go down.
[00:25:23] Yeah.
[00:25:24] I love it.
[00:25:25] Perfect spot for anybody.
[00:25:27] Jasmine and Bria talk a little bit more.
[00:25:29] She does tell her like, hey, Mariah is going to show up.
[00:25:31] She won't be staying here.
[00:25:33] And that's the best that she can really do for them right now.
[00:25:35] She's like, I'm trying my best y'all.
[00:25:37] So when we get through the basketball game, we get our night at the club
[00:25:41] and the club will not let Bria and Milo in.
[00:25:46] Sasha, this is two seasons.
[00:25:48] I don't think I've ever seen Milo at the club.
[00:25:50] So why now?
[00:25:51] And I think it's the same club because I-
[00:25:53] It's the same one.
[00:25:54] I've been there.
[00:25:56] So I'm just confusion as to what has changed.
[00:26:00] Well, she hasn't brought the dog in.
[00:26:02] So I don't know why she needs the dog tonight.
[00:26:05] And it's weird.
[00:26:06] Why are you doing that to that poor animal?
[00:26:09] Can you imagine that loud music?
[00:26:11] It's her emotional support animal, Sasha.
[00:26:15] First of all, what is that so emotionally supporting?
[00:26:19] Trap music.
[00:26:21] The twerk animal.
[00:26:22] Twerk support dog.
[00:26:24] I'm like, do you have special headphones for that poor baby?
[00:26:29] That is a horror to do that.
[00:26:31] And that dog is like one pound.
[00:26:33] But that dog has seen it all.
[00:26:36] No, Milo's seen it all.
[00:26:37] Sasha, she started name dropping places that Milo has been like.
[00:26:39] She's kind of like you worldwide.
[00:26:42] No, Milo is worldwide.
[00:26:45] Sounding like Nick in the next episode.
[00:26:48] Right.
[00:26:48] Nick and Milo.
[00:26:50] I've been here, I've been here, I've been here.
[00:26:52] That's Milo talking to us.
[00:26:54] Such a humble brag.
[00:26:56] But yeah, so very weird for me to see Bria like that.
[00:27:00] Come on, like, why are you taking the dog?
[00:27:01] You've never taken the dog before.
[00:27:04] Let's see back at the house, Shanice and Noel are still there.
[00:27:08] They never leave.
[00:27:09] Alex walks in and sees Noel with the mask on.
[00:27:11] That's fun. She's doing her like her treatment.
[00:27:14] Yeah. Do you do those masks?
[00:27:16] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:27:17] Well, not the red light there.
[00:27:19] I need to get into it.
[00:27:20] It's just such an investment.
[00:27:22] Oh, yeah.
[00:27:23] Like, yeah, like five hundred dollars.
[00:27:25] Oh, no, absolutely not.
[00:27:26] Yeah. No.
[00:27:28] And people give me like, oh, there's cheaper ones.
[00:27:30] Fine. But like, you know, if you don't do it.
[00:27:33] Yeah. Right.
[00:27:35] You remember to buy one. Let's buy one.
[00:27:39] Exactly. Investing yourself, you know.
[00:27:41] Yeah. I can just get like a whatever.
[00:27:44] If everyone should do self care and especially facial care,
[00:27:47] now that we're getting older, but just go get a massage or a facial.
[00:27:52] Yeah, I got a massage last week and it was like the best day of my life.
[00:27:56] Me too.
[00:27:57] Yeah. Look, it's time.
[00:27:58] Yeah, it's time. We need if you're listening to this,
[00:28:01] if the peanut galley has made it over here, just just know it's time.
[00:28:04] Go get you a massage.
[00:28:05] But the guy lady grabbed my neck like that and I was like,
[00:28:08] I think I'm going to die. I like it.
[00:28:10] Right. I definitely told them, like, I'm like, I was like tearing up
[00:28:12] and then like also dying and was like, but step on me, you know, like,
[00:28:15] crush me. Walk on my back, please.
[00:28:18] And then burn me with a cigarette. You know, it hurts so good.
[00:28:21] So moving on day eight, they wake up.
[00:28:25] Everybody's making breakfast. Nick is trying to do the dishes.
[00:28:28] Sasha, the dishes situation, the kitchen situation,
[00:28:31] they don't really talk about it.
[00:28:33] There's a lot of people in that house and that kitchen is always filthy.
[00:28:35] Like I have I would never be in that kitchen ever.
[00:28:37] Why is there not one chore chart?
[00:28:40] Right. Like, I guess they assume everybody will clean up after themselves.
[00:28:44] It's very clear. That's not the case.
[00:28:46] Has no one heard of it?
[00:28:48] It's not bystander effect where if you see something happening,
[00:28:53] you're just going to assume someone else got it.
[00:28:55] Somebody else is.
[00:28:56] Yeah, somebody else will handle that.
[00:28:58] So I don't have to handle it.
[00:28:59] And usually it's more like emergency situations.
[00:29:02] That's why usually like you have to point at someone and be like, you,
[00:29:04] you call 911 because bystander effect is like someone else is going to call it.
[00:29:10] It's fine.
[00:29:11] No, that's yeah.
[00:29:12] Yeah, I forgot that it was called that because you definitely don't want to hit
[00:29:14] like somebody somebody do something.
[00:29:16] It's like, yeah, somebody do something.
[00:29:19] You you're somebody. Yes.
[00:29:21] So that's what I feel like happens where it's like someone got it.
[00:29:24] I did it seven days ago, you know, whatever the math is, blah, blah, blah.
[00:29:28] You know, gymnastics that people do in their mind
[00:29:30] to get out of the worst chore of our dishes.
[00:29:33] So I had this so much.
[00:29:35] But I like I'll do dishes if I never have to do laundry again.
[00:29:38] Like, I don't ever want to touch an iron.
[00:29:40] No, I will happily do laundry dishes.
[00:29:43] Could never be me.
[00:29:45] I'm sure they have a dishwasher in that house.
[00:29:47] Put that stuff in there.
[00:29:49] You know, a lot of when you're cooking for a lot of people,
[00:29:52] you can't put the big things in the dishwasher.
[00:29:54] Yeah. Eventually somebody go out to put their hand in that sink and wash it.
[00:29:56] And that's just.
[00:29:58] I'm good. Look at your face.
[00:30:02] Like I'm thinking like even the gloves wouldn't.
[00:30:04] I can't I can't. There's no way.
[00:30:06] Yeah, no, my mama raised me old school.
[00:30:08] We had a dishwasher in our house the entire time and I never knew what it did.
[00:30:12] So I learned how to use a dishwasher when I was 20.
[00:30:14] Yes, my mom calls me the dishwasher.
[00:30:16] So when I go home to her, she's like, oh, my God, my dishwasher is home.
[00:30:19] No, that's the thing that you don't.
[00:30:21] The machine that you bought and then it just sits here and doesn't
[00:30:24] and doesn't do anything but collect dust.
[00:30:27] Yeah. So my pants and pants.
[00:30:30] Yeah. Look, you hide stuff.
[00:30:31] Yeah. Yeah. I love it.
[00:30:33] And the oven, it's like, OK, just like get more freaking space.
[00:30:37] Yeah, they won't.
[00:30:39] They'll never learn. But look, I'm not doing the dishes.
[00:30:41] I'm sorry. I saw that.
[00:30:41] I thought that the way the kitchen was set up and I was like, nope, I'm good.
[00:30:44] We'll be eating out catered.
[00:30:47] Yeah, I will be cleaning the house before I'll do the dishes.
[00:30:51] Yeah, 100 percent.
[00:30:51] Just make me the maid at that point.
[00:30:53] But I'm not washing the dishes.
[00:30:55] And I'm not and I'm not touching an iron anyway.
[00:30:58] So today is Amir's day to
[00:31:01] entertain everybody.
[00:31:02] And he wants to give them a good old fashioned Texas rodeo.
[00:31:06] They talk about how rodeo
[00:31:06] are like carnivals here in Texas and very much so.
[00:31:09] I mean, like it's like most rodeos that I have been to
[00:31:12] have a carnival attached to it because they'll give you like
[00:31:15] carnivals without rodeo.
[00:31:17] Right. It's like they just kind of have to go hand in hand.
[00:31:20] You go to the rodeo and you go out and do the rides, stuff like that.
[00:31:23] And so we will see that, you know, he has a whole little setup
[00:31:27] for the Vineyard 10 is what they're calling themselves as they go
[00:31:30] to the horse stable.
[00:31:32] So horseback riding, it goes well for some people.
[00:31:36] Some people are not familiar with this.
[00:31:38] Jordan sounds like she's been horseback riding a lot.
[00:31:42] Like she's like, yeah, like I do a quick like equestria.
[00:31:45] She was talking about she's done
[00:31:47] like English riding before, but she never done Western riding.
[00:31:51] I was like, OK, Jordan, I didn't realize she was so like so worldly.
[00:31:55] Like I knew that she'd probably like been around and seen some stuff.
[00:31:58] But just to throw out equestria and like that, I was like, OK, you got money.
[00:32:02] Yeah. And it's just give us more.
[00:32:06] Right. It felt like, OK, we went we did a little and we went right.
[00:32:13] Get a mirror was not a mirroring in the right way, because if it's your day
[00:32:18] and I feel like if you're going to do a rodeo, why aren't we doing a rodeo?
[00:32:22] It's really the most fun part where the fried Oreos,
[00:32:25] first of all, my favorite. Right.
[00:32:27] Yeah. Fried Oreos, fried Snickers, fried Twinkies.
[00:32:30] Are you kidding me?
[00:32:32] I just feel like at least a turkey leg.
[00:32:34] Something. Oh, yeah.
[00:32:35] Everybody has to have a turkey leg.
[00:32:37] It felt very disjointed to me, right?
[00:32:39] Where these people you're right.
[00:32:40] The equestrians were like, I'm in my element.
[00:32:43] I'm going to do this.
[00:32:44] Everyone else was just like, well, I can't wait to go back.
[00:32:48] But they played a few games.
[00:32:50] They did a sack race, which is always fun.
[00:32:53] They did it really. Yeah, it was cute.
[00:32:55] You had a relay race, bobbing for apples.
[00:32:58] There's a local rodeo that is like here that does mud and busting.
[00:33:02] And it's where they, yeah, where they strap the little kids on.
[00:33:05] Yeah, to the sheep.
[00:33:07] It is so fun.
[00:33:09] It's the best.
[00:33:11] Shabelle's from Texas. I'm from Oklahoma.
[00:33:13] So to me, I'm like, and it's the best thing.
[00:33:15] Sign me up.
[00:33:16] The kids are so good.
[00:33:18] First of all, kids have like crazy, you know, good balance.
[00:33:22] Yeah. It's like ski.
[00:33:24] It's out of control.
[00:33:26] Meanwhile, I'm on my ass the whole time.
[00:33:28] But it's just seeing them on that little sheep and holding onto the wool for dear life.
[00:33:33] Shout out to all those kids.
[00:33:34] Yeah. Every time at any rodeo,
[00:33:37] I'm always going to watch the barrel racing and the mud and bust in every time.
[00:33:40] I love the pigs watching the little pigs at once.
[00:33:44] Oh, yeah. No, see, this is yeah,
[00:33:45] this just became the most southern podcast on the on the network.
[00:33:50] Yeah, because we are visiting right up our alley.
[00:33:54] We get a couple of other comments, obviously.
[00:33:55] Alex says he hasn't rode any horses,
[00:33:57] but someone says that she's rode some stallions.
[00:33:59] And I don't think she was talking about.
[00:34:01] She was having an hour.
[00:34:03] OK, I thought so. I thought so.
[00:34:05] Lady, listen, you don't stop talking about him.
[00:34:08] Even if you weren't talking about him, let's leave it all illusion
[00:34:11] to the side, throw it away, because this man,
[00:34:14] you're not prepared for the damage he's willing to do.
[00:34:16] OK, Shanice does talk on the phone about a job.
[00:34:20] That was cool. Yeah.
[00:34:23] I was like, is it's not.
[00:34:25] Did you see which did you see the chiron?
[00:34:27] It said recruiter. Yeah.
[00:34:30] Like she's trying to line again.
[00:34:32] But again, it's fine.
[00:34:34] I want her to be successful because I really enjoy her.
[00:34:37] So I just I hope he has it.
[00:34:39] Yeah. So later on that night is where we get Jasmine's big announcement.
[00:34:44] Of course, like I said, everybody already knew.
[00:34:46] And then Amir finds himself on the phone with Natalie.
[00:34:51] And he hasn't been able to talk to her, but he says like when they haven't
[00:34:54] talked for a while, he's able like they still can pick up cues
[00:34:57] like when they're in person, they normally can pick up the cues
[00:35:00] because she doesn't like to tell him how she's feeling.
[00:35:03] She likes to talk and then wait for him to figure it out.
[00:35:07] And I heard him say it out loud,
[00:35:10] but then I wanted to play it back to him and say like,
[00:35:13] and that sounds normal to you.
[00:35:14] It's just like I could use my words and communicate and be healthy.
[00:35:19] But I'd rather just stare at you like you're crazy
[00:35:21] and then hang up the phone awkwardly when it doesn't work out.
[00:35:26] Again, I am pretty toxic when I'm angry,
[00:35:29] but I have learned to be like, this is someone I love.
[00:35:31] I can't do that to them.
[00:35:32] Yeah. Or be like, I need some time.
[00:35:35] I will come back to you.
[00:35:36] And you do have to follow through and come back to them.
[00:35:38] This is crazy.
[00:35:40] Yeah. I'm sorry. What?
[00:35:43] And that's your normal communication style.
[00:35:45] You know, it's not he doesn't say like, oh, this is how she gets
[00:35:48] what she's really upset because we don't have any real like
[00:35:50] we have no reason to believe that she would be mad at him.
[00:35:52] He hasn't done it.
[00:35:54] Well, you know, all the girls want.
[00:35:57] Oh, yeah. Yeah, we will definitely get to that.
[00:35:59] I know. I know. I don't want to jump.
[00:36:00] But I'm just like, this is all this whole thing is delusional.
[00:36:03] And she it's giving first relationship.
[00:36:07] It's so obvious that it's the first relationship.
[00:36:11] And I'm just like, stand up, you know,
[00:36:14] she's she's really pretty period.
[00:36:17] We yeah, you know what? City girls are back up, baby.
[00:36:20] Yeah. Amir is not doing us any favors.
[00:36:22] Here we are really not.
[00:36:24] Y'all are not back up because this technically happened
[00:36:26] before Watch What Happens Live.
[00:36:27] So let's let's keep the score accurately.
[00:36:29] But for a minute, you had a damn bag.
[00:36:31] I came in here really ready prepared to be like Amir.
[00:36:35] I should have just gate kept. I'm dumb.
[00:36:37] Yeah. Yeah. Look at you.
[00:36:39] I didn't grow up. You're a girl's girl.
[00:36:40] Yeah, you're supposed to be a girl's girl.
[00:36:42] You threw her under the bus.
[00:36:44] No, it was for the best. She needs to do better.
[00:36:45] But Amir, the people online are talking about you, man.
[00:36:49] They're saying you're boring.
[00:36:50] They're saying you're not bringing anything to the table.
[00:36:52] They're saying that, you know, your girlfriend's running you
[00:36:55] and she's unpleasant and they're not loving this for you.
[00:36:58] I saw somebody say you've got a big ass and that's it.
[00:37:01] Amir, I need you to step up.
[00:37:03] Step it up again. Come here. Come closer.
[00:37:05] You want to be on television more.
[00:37:08] You either have to be more entertaining or you have to be single.
[00:37:12] Those two things are not aligned right now, sir.
[00:37:14] They don't kick you off the show.
[00:37:15] We will not see you next summer unless you step it up.
[00:37:17] That's all I'm saying.
[00:37:18] Or tell us your relationship drama, right?
[00:37:20] Like, my god or not word.
[00:37:22] That's part of being entertaining.
[00:37:23] It's like he's worshiping her.
[00:37:26] So then he's not going to talk bad about her.
[00:37:28] But we are all seeing the elephant in the room that this is not like a co-
[00:37:33] like it's not good. It's not kosher.
[00:37:35] Like stop.
[00:37:36] Yeah, especially if she shows up and that all that means
[00:37:39] is that you are going to go be sitting in the corner
[00:37:41] talking to her the whole time.
[00:37:43] You could just you could just cut.
[00:37:44] I will literally end friendships.
[00:37:47] Yeah, like you should have just stayed where you were then.
[00:37:49] Right. You should just stay where you were then.
[00:37:51] I cannot handle that.
[00:37:53] I hate literally the worst thing you can do to me as a friend.
[00:37:57] Yeah. Well, look, we'll talk about that when she gets here as well,
[00:38:01] because she's on her way.
[00:38:02] Jordan and Summer talk.
[00:38:04] There is a miscommunication.
[00:38:06] Summer says it, you know, she should have told,
[00:38:09] she should have told Noel from Jump, like, hey, Noel,
[00:38:12] I should have been open about the fact that Alex has been inside me.
[00:38:15] Put another ding on there.
[00:38:18] And then Bria is trying to agree with Summer,
[00:38:22] but Summer is automatically getting defensive about it
[00:38:25] before she even hears her out and she's back on,
[00:38:28] back up to number 10.
[00:38:30] Summer's back on her stuff and Noel is the one,
[00:38:33] I think who accurately calls out what's going on with Summer.
[00:38:35] She says she's clearly hurt and, you know, because she's hurt,
[00:38:39] she's reacting like this to everything.
[00:38:41] Because it's happening left and right.
[00:38:44] Noel has to, she ends up having to go apologize to Summer
[00:38:47] and she's like, I wasn't trying to attack you.
[00:38:49] And they both agree that, okay, well, while Summer was escalating it
[00:38:53] because she's going through a lot of stuff,
[00:38:55] Bria was also ready to take it to level 10
[00:38:58] because she really much, really like got to the, what?
[00:39:01] The point of like, oh, well, I mean, if you want to fight, let's go.
[00:39:04] You know, very quickly.
[00:39:04] I'm out. Yeah.
[00:39:05] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:39:06] Right. That's supposed to be her friend.
[00:39:08] Why are y'all acting like this?
[00:39:09] No, it's, but this is, I think again,
[00:39:12] the running theme of the season with the girls.
[00:39:14] She was supposed to be your friend.
[00:39:16] Why are you acting like this?
[00:39:17] It is a copy and paste for every relationship except Noel.
[00:39:22] Yeah, she's new here and it will be,
[00:39:24] it will be a copy and paste next season probably based on what we see.
[00:39:26] Oh, it's already, yeah.
[00:39:27] I was like, it's already getting started, unfortunately there.
[00:39:29] But yeah, I just think there's so much going on with Summer
[00:39:33] and Alex actually on Watch What Happens Live even said,
[00:39:36] he thought it was so weird that she didn't let Noel know what was going on
[00:39:41] when Noel was expressing interest in Alex and he's like, that's just sus.
[00:39:46] But again, he was just ready to kill.
[00:39:49] So that was different, but I still think it's weird
[00:39:53] because no one is truly over them if they're using those words.
[00:39:59] What do you mean?
[00:40:01] He came in like multiple times.
[00:40:03] Why are we saying these words?
[00:40:05] Stop talking about it.
[00:40:08] Especially if you're saying it's mid, literally a five is what you said.
[00:40:12] Yeah, it's like she's coming from a place of like,
[00:40:14] how dare you treat me like this when I gave you this part of me or whatever.
[00:40:20] I let you do this thing to me, what the hell?
[00:40:22] And it wasn't even good and you have the nerve to sit here and downplay it
[00:40:25] and thinking, okay ma'am, well once you've said it once, stop repeating it
[00:40:29] because we might actually forget.
[00:40:30] But because you keep talking about it,
[00:40:32] it feels like you really, really cared about it.
[00:40:34] And that's making you look bad.
[00:40:37] And honestly, it should make him look bad, but you're just not caring.
[00:40:41] Yeah.
[00:40:42] In a way that makes it look like you got everything under control.
[00:40:44] It looks like it's really bothering you.
[00:40:47] I think the worst thing you can let somebody see
[00:40:48] is something that they did bother you.
[00:40:50] I would rather die.
[00:40:53] Again, there's just no reason.
[00:40:56] You just have to be like, man, I wish I could say more,
[00:40:59] but it just wasn't good.
[00:41:00] There's a way to slyly...
[00:41:02] Look, ask Alex how to do it.
[00:41:04] Right, he can teach a class.
[00:41:05] He really can, yeah.
[00:41:07] I will be there.
[00:41:08] I don't know why I need to be there, but I will be there.
[00:41:10] Yes.
[00:41:11] The last thing from that night is the talent show.
[00:41:14] Anything stand out from the talent show?
[00:41:15] I mean, Amir wins with his poetry.
[00:41:20] He needs a win.
[00:41:21] He needs something.
[00:41:22] He does need something.
[00:41:24] They say it was chat GPT.
[00:41:27] Maybe it was, but he does take the W with this one.
[00:41:31] We'll give him that one because like you said, he needs something.
[00:41:34] Because in this episode, episode six, he gets something.
[00:41:37] His girlfriend is coming.
[00:41:38] Matter of fact, the significant others are on the way.
[00:41:42] And so yeah, we will see Natalie, his significant other,
[00:41:47] Donald who is Preston's significant other,
[00:41:49] and Simon all the way from Germany back to be with Bria for the couple...
[00:41:53] With his woman-girl pajamas.
[00:41:55] And Nick has a lot to say about that.
[00:41:57] So yeah, we do get some of the summer backstory again,
[00:42:01] where she talks to her granny and she doesn't like
[00:42:03] putting her problems on other people.
[00:42:05] But she does have abandonment issues and she suppresses her feelings
[00:42:07] until they bubble up and then we see the summer that we've been getting.
[00:42:10] She sounds like she talked to the lady.
[00:42:13] The way she was talking about it,
[00:42:14] she was very much using like terms where it sounds like a professional sat you down.
[00:42:18] Exactly.
[00:42:19] Therapy speech because yeah, it's like she's hitting the nail on the head.
[00:42:24] But then what we're seeing is someone who does not know these things about herself
[00:42:28] because she's by the end of this, she is flying off the handle and nobody is sure why.
[00:42:34] Oh my God.
[00:42:35] I just...
[00:42:38] It's really unfortunate because again, I don't know about you,
[00:42:42] but to me it's like textbook, right?
[00:42:44] Like, oh, someone's like dealing with stuff.
[00:42:46] So they're going to use, insert whatever that may mean.
[00:42:50] Like here it's alcohol and they're going to use it.
[00:42:53] They're going to abuse it and then it's going to either lash out on others, on themselves,
[00:42:58] or they're going to...
[00:42:59] Something bad will happen and then the volcano, right?
[00:43:03] It's like a soda bottle.
[00:43:04] You're just going to keep shaking it, shaking it, shaking it,
[00:43:06] and eventually it's just going to burst.
[00:43:09] And I do think because Alex said they didn't talk since episode one.
[00:43:13] I mean that is true.
[00:43:14] Like they haven't, they didn't speak there.
[00:43:17] So I'm just assuming there's a lot of like,
[00:43:19] and this girl's pissing me off and this girl's pissing me off.
[00:43:21] And that guy that I liked played me and is still playing me.
[00:43:27] I can't win because life here is bad and life at home is bad.
[00:43:31] That's what I'm getting from her.
[00:43:34] Yeah, yeah for sure.
[00:43:35] Because she threatens to leave like Bria threatens to leave.
[00:43:37] She's like, I'm leaving.
[00:43:38] I finally have to go.
[00:43:38] And it's like, maybe you should.
[00:43:40] You seem nice.
[00:43:41] You seem like you're good TV obviously.
[00:43:43] We're talking about it.
[00:43:44] But if you're not okay, take care of yourself first.
[00:43:48] Even if Alex wasn't there, it's still probably difficult to be,
[00:43:52] or the Alex and Summer situation hadn't happened.
[00:43:54] Like let's say that was a complete aside.
[00:43:57] She still has so much that she's got going on
[00:43:59] that Alex wouldn't want to be around her anyway.
[00:44:01] He's definitely the type to avoid this kind of like energy.
[00:44:04] And Summer is giving off just like,
[00:44:06] just some like really heavy just like turmoil.
[00:44:11] Every time you look up, anytime she's drinking,
[00:44:13] we're about to get a blow up.
[00:44:15] And it just depends on what level or against who.
[00:44:19] But we'll get to that.
[00:44:20] Simon's back.
[00:44:21] We like Simon, right?
[00:44:22] Flamingo pajamas.
[00:44:24] Yeah, mostly we do.
[00:44:26] Like I said, I think I have no reason to hate him.
[00:44:28] It's just I felt like that what Bria said, right?
[00:44:31] Like if I don't cook her clean, he gets mad.
[00:44:34] That didn't sit right with me outside of that.
[00:44:36] He's great.
[00:44:38] Yeah, my one thing, I guess my one issue with Simon,
[00:44:40] if I had to find one,
[00:44:41] because there's not really one that I have with them either,
[00:44:43] is that looking back,
[00:44:46] it is kind of weird that he was like in the hot tub
[00:44:48] with Shanice while she was naked.
[00:44:49] Now don't get me wrong.
[00:44:49] What would you do as like a boy?
[00:44:52] You have to get out the hot tub.
[00:44:53] You have to get out the hot tub.
[00:44:54] You know, I just think you have to.
[00:44:57] I don't know.
[00:44:58] I guess he was very comfortable.
[00:44:59] Everybody was comfortable.
[00:45:00] Nobody seemed like it was super scandalous
[00:45:02] that she was naked.
[00:45:03] But you have to know your partner.
[00:45:05] And if he knows anything about Bria,
[00:45:08] he should know that's not gonna fly, right?
[00:45:10] It's kind of like what Nick was saying
[00:45:12] about the cuddle support.
[00:45:13] Like Bria, if you know anything about your like how you act,
[00:45:18] why would you think it'd be okay for somebody to walk in
[00:45:20] and see your significant other
[00:45:22] in a cuddling embrace with somebody?
[00:45:25] Even if it's for emotional support,
[00:45:26] that's just not gonna fly with these people.
[00:45:28] So looking back, he should have got out the hot tub.
[00:45:31] But in the moment I was like, it's fine.
[00:45:32] Because she's always naked.
[00:45:34] Matter of fact, you didn't seem to have a problem
[00:45:35] with her being naked yesterday.
[00:45:37] But yeah, I kind of see it there.
[00:45:40] But Simon's dope.
[00:45:41] I think they should keep him around
[00:45:43] as much as he wants to come around
[00:45:44] because he keeps Bria at least a little kind of like contained.
[00:45:50] Yeah, a little bit.
[00:45:50] Yeah, that's what she needs to be grounded.
[00:45:53] We also meet Donald.
[00:45:54] He's her emotional support animal.
[00:45:57] Yeah, exactly.
[00:45:58] So he's her emotional support and then Milo.
[00:46:00] She needs a lot of emotional support.
[00:46:02] You got his squad.
[00:46:03] Just bring him back.
[00:46:04] Yeah, if it works, it works.
[00:46:06] We meet Donald Preston's other half.
[00:46:08] He says it's been several years
[00:46:10] since they got together.
[00:46:11] I think it was 2019.
[00:46:13] And yeah, you can tell they really like each other.
[00:46:15] Right?
[00:46:16] Donald just comes in and he fits right in.
[00:46:17] I don't know if everybody already knows Donald
[00:46:20] because they're just meeting.
[00:46:23] They met Simon last year and then they met Natalie as well,
[00:46:30] just not on the show.
[00:46:31] And so some of them have met Natalie.
[00:46:34] So I don't know what the relationship is with Donald,
[00:46:35] but he seems to be just like fitting right in.
[00:46:37] Yeah, and he seems really nice.
[00:46:39] Again, he knows his space is to be the plus one.
[00:46:44] He's the first gentleman.
[00:46:46] That's his job.
[00:46:48] I feel like he's doing it well.
[00:46:50] He was ready on time.
[00:46:51] He looked great.
[00:46:52] He's supporting Preston at the mixer.
[00:46:55] I really enjoyed his vibe.
[00:46:56] And the fact that he's just snoring on the couch,
[00:46:59] you can tell that he is so chill as a person.
[00:47:02] I'm telling you, sleep on the couch is my love language.
[00:47:05] Like they would be like, where's Chapelle?
[00:47:08] Over here asleep, knocked out, just dead to the world.
[00:47:10] That's what I do.
[00:47:11] I just hang out.
[00:47:11] I watch people do stuff.
[00:47:12] I drink and I have a good time.
[00:47:14] Yeah, drinking.
[00:47:14] You would not be asleep.
[00:47:16] I would be passed out.
[00:47:17] I think that's the difference between drinking and being passed out.
[00:47:22] So yeah, we meet Preston and we meet Donald.
[00:47:26] The conversation with Preston is obviously about Phil
[00:47:28] because him and Phil do talk on the phone in the previous episode.
[00:47:31] And they seemingly have a like, okay,
[00:47:33] we kind of have a come to Jesus meeting.
[00:47:35] They're like, all right, this is what I was feeling.
[00:47:37] This is how I felt about the situation.
[00:47:39] And Preston forgives him, but everybody has not.
[00:47:42] Phil has not talked to everybody and Phil and Mariah are on the way.
[00:47:45] And so when Natalie gets there,
[00:47:48] Amir is trying to lace her up on where everybody's whole situation is.
[00:47:52] It's like Shanice is kind of touchy.
[00:47:55] And by the time they get there, Natalie,
[00:47:59] like I said, people know her.
[00:48:00] They even know of her.
[00:48:01] They've seen them on FaceTime,
[00:48:02] but they also kind of think she's standoffish.
[00:48:05] And I don't think she does anything in this episode to prove them otherwise.
[00:48:08] I'm pretty sure that's just her vibe.
[00:48:11] Her and Amir, it's just not a relationship that I can get invested in.
[00:48:16] That's what I'm saying.
[00:48:16] I was also trying to be like,
[00:48:18] how do I not completely flame this person with how I really feel?
[00:48:22] But I felt that why is production catching her every move?
[00:48:29] You know what I'm saying?
[00:48:30] Every little comment she had, it was caught and aired.
[00:48:35] So I just feel like some you know how sometimes the vibe of a person just doesn't work.
[00:48:41] That's what I felt about Natalie.
[00:48:44] Where I was like, it's just it's not it.
[00:48:46] I don't know how to explain it.
[00:48:47] It's just not it.
[00:48:48] And I felt that the girls could have been a little bit nicer to her.
[00:48:51] Like I don't think that was cool where he's like,
[00:48:54] so Jordan, do you want to go talk to her?
[00:48:58] And was it Jordan or Summer?
[00:49:01] I think it was Summer.
[00:49:02] Sorry Sarah, okay.
[00:49:03] Yeah and then Summer was like, so where's Noelle?
[00:49:05] Right.
[00:49:06] So anyway child, yeah.
[00:49:10] And we do have to talk about the whole Amir situation because
[00:49:14] the reason why people were so standoffish against Natalie is that
[00:49:17] Natalie is under the impression that every girl in the house was interested in Amir at some point.
[00:49:23] Now I don't know if there's something we did not see on camera.
[00:49:28] But we did get a flashback on the show to where
[00:49:32] there was some mild interest in him from some people.
[00:49:36] But every girl in the cast did not.
[00:49:38] That is actually a lie based on what we've seen.
[00:49:41] Everybody did not want to.
[00:49:42] In fact, Jordan gave him no type of play at all.
[00:49:45] She was very much single and she was not interested at all.
[00:49:48] That was his whole thing last season.
[00:49:51] You know, she was like, why is everybody trying to speak for me
[00:49:54] and include me in their relationships?
[00:49:56] There's that other.
[00:49:58] And then he goes and two months later he meets Natalie
[00:50:00] and they've been together ever since.
[00:50:02] So Natalie just feeling super protective over that.
[00:50:05] It makes me question, okay well why don't you even go Amir?
[00:50:08] You know if you felt like your girlfriend was going to really trip
[00:50:10] about all the girls in the house, I'd be wowed for letting you go
[00:50:15] without like, and I say letting, but yo for y'all coming up to agreement
[00:50:18] that you were gonna go and then for her to also sit at home and be salty about it.
[00:50:22] Like why would she let you know, why would she agree to this
[00:50:24] if she was just gonna sit at home and salt and call you and FaceTime you
[00:50:27] and complain about you being in the house with a bunch of women?
[00:50:30] Like she had to see first season, she knows.
[00:50:34] That's what my nose just say.
[00:50:36] Did she not watch the first season when was this filmed?
[00:50:40] Right, like there's no way.
[00:50:42] And it is known that they kind of were like, oh Nick was in all of our DMs, right?
[00:50:48] That's Nick's like little story.
[00:50:50] And even then they were, I feel like very good last season with his girlfriend.
[00:50:54] They were just like, oh shoot, we didn't know you exist.
[00:50:56] But outside of that, they were very nice to her.
[00:50:59] But I felt like the vibe was just so incorrect.
[00:51:03] And then why is she like stay away from Jordan?
[00:51:05] No, stay away from Jordan in that Jordan don't want you
[00:51:09] and you were still pursuing her.
[00:51:11] So yes, I also agree, stay away from Jordan in that way.
[00:51:15] Because every time Jordan even moved or breathe or just like existed,
[00:51:21] it was an issue.
[00:51:22] Meanwhile, you're dogging your man and constantly being like he ain't shit.
[00:51:27] Like that's what she's basically saying.
[00:51:29] Is it?
[00:51:30] That's kind of how it feels.
[00:51:31] So I'm just like, oh, this is hard to watch.
[00:51:34] But same time, like you said, they're not really giving Natalie any type of grace either.
[00:51:38] This is just oil and water and it's bad for TV because they're not even fighting.
[00:51:42] It'd be different if they were arguing and it was drama.
[00:51:44] But it's legit like Natalie pulling one of the fun people away and saying,
[00:51:49] okay, you just sit over here and talk to me.
[00:51:51] And that's it.
[00:51:52] It's like that is the most boring version of this television.
[00:51:54] I'd much rather them treat them like Jasmine and just not have them on camera at all.
[00:51:59] But whatever, Phil and Mariah are coming and that's fun because we know
[00:52:03] Bria has been struggling with that.
[00:52:05] Phil has been working his way back in with Preston.
[00:52:07] But when Bria is on the phone with Phil, she's like, yeah,
[00:52:11] I know you're coming very excited.
[00:52:13] I heard Mariah is coming and Phil says, yeah, she is right here.
[00:52:16] Look, FaceTime.
[00:52:17] And my mouth fell open because what the hell?
[00:52:21] Bria needed like 10 emotional support people for when that happened.
[00:52:27] Where were you at?
[00:52:28] Yeah, he was in hell and she was, oh, hi.
[00:52:36] Hey, friend.
[00:52:37] What's up, Mariah girl?
[00:52:38] You know, you was in the car.
[00:52:40] I just couldn't.
[00:52:42] She was like, how are you?
[00:52:44] I'm so excited to see you.
[00:52:47] Oh my God.
[00:52:50] They show up together, which is awkward AF because what is this about?
[00:52:55] Like the two exiled people have gotten together as like a power duo,
[00:52:59] but they don't seem to be dating.
[00:53:02] It's just that they just kind of bonded over,
[00:53:05] hey, we both got kicked off the show last season.
[00:53:08] They kind of had that moment in the house before they both left too,
[00:53:11] where it was like, so me and you, huh, we're the new people.
[00:53:13] And then now they're both gone, but they are back now.
[00:53:16] And we see the makeups.
[00:53:20] Mariah is going to finally talk to Bria and Phil is going to talk
[00:53:26] to the other guys in the house.
[00:53:28] And so at first, it doesn't feel like Bria or the other guys in the house
[00:53:32] care to make these connections, but they go along with it.
[00:53:36] And Phil, it feels like he's trying to make amends,
[00:53:41] but I'm sorry, Sasha.
[00:53:43] This apology would have fell on deaf ears for me.
[00:53:44] This was nothing.
[00:53:45] Okay. I have so many feelings.
[00:53:48] All right.
[00:53:49] Okay.
[00:53:49] So, yes, you're correct.
[00:53:52] I'm with you.
[00:53:52] Phil's apology was a non-apology.
[00:53:55] He allegedly was seeing the lady, as you said, but he named that.
[00:54:01] But where is it?
[00:54:03] And Nick said, right, like it's like when you try to,
[00:54:07] you have to cram basically a book report that you have months
[00:54:10] to prepare into one day.
[00:54:12] That's what it was giving.
[00:54:13] It was such a non-apology because he's like, wait, wait, wait.
[00:54:16] I'm just trying to have fun and you guys aren't fun.
[00:54:18] I'm trying to make it fun.
[00:54:20] Technically not wrong because what are we saying season two that?
[00:54:25] Don't be rude and don't be disrespectful when you're
[00:54:29] coming into the house late.
[00:54:30] Right.
[00:54:30] And oh my God, again, I'm a short person.
[00:54:34] I want to make that very clear.
[00:54:35] But five for a mirror.
[00:54:38] Yeah.
[00:54:38] Trying to like, you guys just step up and he's like, these are my writer die.
[00:54:43] To me, I was like, play the party.
[00:54:45] Like, you know, the helium, like that.
[00:54:47] Yeah.
[00:54:47] Oh, not the voice.
[00:54:49] Yeah.
[00:54:49] Yeah.
[00:54:50] Because the party deck is what I can think of.
[00:54:52] But I was like, I need that voice because it was just the way he was trying to,
[00:54:56] you know, make himself bigger and really take up space.
[00:55:00] It was precious, but it didn't work, especially when you are not giving
[00:55:05] Bria and Mariah an apology for their fight.
[00:55:09] Okay.
[00:55:09] Yeah.
[00:55:09] So let's get to that.
[00:55:10] So Mariah and Bria are talking and they kind of go back and forth on some, you know,
[00:55:14] Mariah's like, I'm up, I'm a, I met you like that.
[00:55:19] I was, I'm allergic to dogs.
[00:55:20] And so I took it very personally when I've asked about the dog care several times.
[00:55:24] So I took it very personally.
[00:55:26] And ultimately I did not know that it wasn't you who,
[00:55:30] who did the laundry and put the dog stuff in there.
[00:55:32] And we wouldn't even got to that point.
[00:55:34] Bria is like, yeah, it was a mirror.
[00:55:36] That's crazy.
[00:55:36] But, you know, she seemingly will accept the apology.
[00:55:39] It seems like, oh, kind of like a ha ha ha.
[00:55:41] Okay.
[00:55:41] Yo, we're good.
[00:55:43] Whereas we cut to Amir and Amir's like, yeah, Mariah's DM'd me a few times,
[00:55:48] I've been about an apology, but she wants an public apology.
[00:55:51] And I'm not doing that because it's not my fault.
[00:55:53] She put her hands on Bria.
[00:55:54] She should have just said, hey, Bria, it wasn't, you know,
[00:55:58] what's up with the dog hair?
[00:55:59] She could have had to look like an adult.
[00:56:00] I'm not the reason why she got kicked out.
[00:56:02] And I'm thinking, I mean, I kind of agree with them, you know,
[00:56:05] like why did Mariah have to go to 11 immediately over some dog hair?
[00:56:09] I don't, okay.
[00:56:10] I don't disagree.
[00:56:11] But I think when you're allergic, what if someone did that to you with seafood
[00:56:15] and it's actually like X, X person's fault, but you're yelling,
[00:56:19] you're just like, hey, Y person, I thought we were close.
[00:56:22] I've told you I'm allergic to seafood and you did this to me.
[00:56:26] What's going on?
[00:56:27] That's what I feel like happened and why she like got so worked up on it.
[00:56:34] And I do think that he should just say like, yeah, that was on me.
[00:56:37] My bad.
[00:56:38] I think that's it.
[00:56:39] Like, I don't think it needs to be like a whole notes app apology,
[00:56:42] but I do think there should be some ownership.
[00:56:44] Maybe, maybe not even apology, but accountability.
[00:56:47] If nothing else, he should apologize for washing the dog, the dog clothes.
[00:56:51] Yeah, that's what I mean.
[00:56:53] Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
[00:56:53] At the end of the day, that's still not something she appreciated.
[00:56:56] Say you're sorry.
[00:56:57] Yes.
[00:56:57] But as far as like I'm the reason why you got kicked out the house.
[00:57:00] No, you're the reason why you got kicked out the house.
[00:57:01] No, no, okay.
[00:57:02] That I agree with.
[00:57:03] Yeah, I don't think like that necessarily.
[00:57:05] It's actually that Jasmine didn't stand up for you.
[00:57:08] Right.
[00:57:08] Summer did not get kicked out of the house after she put-
[00:57:11] Summer did not get kicked out the house.
[00:57:12] On Rhea, so be serious.
[00:57:15] Right and Summer still ain't getting kicked out the house, which is wild
[00:57:17] because after tonight, I think we make a good argument for why Summer should go.
[00:57:21] No, it's okay.
[00:57:22] I went to drama.
[00:57:23] Listen, she can say-
[00:57:24] But it's like imploding, so I don't want that for her, but also for me.
[00:57:28] What else do we have?
[00:57:30] Right.
[00:57:30] Well, we got freaknik tonight.
[00:57:32] Yes!
[00:57:32] We had a freaknik party and this is where I'm like, okay, tag us in.
[00:57:36] This is my era.
[00:57:37] Let me have a chance.
[00:57:40] I need to dress up.
[00:57:41] I need the fake tattoos.
[00:57:42] I got the outfit picked out right up my alley.
[00:57:45] Sasha, you love a theme party.
[00:57:47] When are you going to throw your freaknik party?
[00:57:49] I got to pull up.
[00:57:50] Who's getting conceived?
[00:57:56] Okay, that's too far in the freak portion of the freaknik.
[00:58:00] We bring it back.
[00:58:01] Yes, this freaknik party is old to the 90s, even though freaknik,
[00:58:05] as we learned, started in the 80s in the Atlanta college area for the people in Atlanta
[00:58:12] who could not go to Daytona Beach or go home for spring break.
[00:58:16] They had their own spring break near the college campuses in Atlanta
[00:58:19] and then it evolved eventually to the freaknik that we know.
[00:58:22] Check out the freaknik documentary on Hulu, The Wildest Party Never Told,
[00:58:26] and check out of course the recap here on the Recap Kickback
[00:58:29] where we talked about that freaknik and me, Ty, and Mari all kind of
[00:58:33] dove into our experiences and what we knew about freaknik as well
[00:58:36] and what we thought about the documentary.
[00:58:37] So here we see an old to that and I thought this was really fun.
[00:58:42] I thought that they all killed the costumes, the fake tattoos,
[00:58:46] the whole aesthetic was just perfect.
[00:58:49] Nick, watch out.
[00:58:50] You in danger, girl.
[00:58:52] That's what I was feeling.
[00:58:53] The thing is, Nick did look better.
[00:58:56] And I wasn't even looking at Nick like, oh, what happened?
[00:58:59] Tattoos will up the ante.
[00:59:02] It's one of those things where it's like, yeah, look,
[00:59:05] let me get some press on tattoos too.
[00:59:07] I'm going to walk around.
[00:59:08] Okay, yeah.
[00:59:08] You know what I'm saying?
[00:59:09] Load some little stick on.
[00:59:10] I will help you and then yeah.
[00:59:12] Gas me up.
[00:59:12] Yeah.
[00:59:13] I got you.
[00:59:14] Because then once I leave,
[00:59:15] nobody's going to know that they were washing out.
[00:59:17] The hypnotic?
[00:59:19] That is what I think put over the edge for me
[00:59:21] because if you get me an X-rated bottle, we're best friends.
[00:59:25] Not X-rated.
[00:59:26] First of all, that was my favorite.
[00:59:29] Not X-rated.
[00:59:29] Look, hypnotic.
[00:59:31] What is the other one?
[00:59:31] The Alize.
[00:59:33] Oh, Alize.
[00:59:35] That's what he had, right?
[00:59:36] The yellow was Alize, I think.
[00:59:39] Yeah, I think so.
[00:59:39] Yeah.
[00:59:40] Look again, that was just giving you flashbacks
[00:59:43] to just some ratchet nights.
[00:59:45] Been there.
[00:59:46] Me finishing an X-rated bottle of this.
[00:59:50] I think the last time I had hypnotic was I was 21.
[00:59:56] I just started legally drinking and we went to the Pink Monkey
[01:00:00] in Houston, which is like a basement club.
[01:00:04] And we're in there and I'm like,
[01:00:06] and when I see hypnotic, the first thing I think is,
[01:00:10] remember that time I went to the Pink Monkey?
[01:00:12] It was just so bad.
[01:00:15] I just didn't know they sold hypnotic anymore.
[01:00:18] First of all, so I go to a bar recently
[01:00:21] and someone had asked me about an Incredible Hulk
[01:00:24] and I said, well, that's hypnotic and Hennessy.
[01:00:26] If you mix them up, they turn green.
[01:00:27] That's an Incredible Hulk.
[01:00:28] Yeah, that's a high pop.
[01:00:29] Right, exactly.
[01:00:31] And so I was like, so oh, I'll order one at the bar
[01:00:34] so you can see.
[01:00:35] I said, can I have an Incredible Hulk?
[01:00:37] And the bartender looks at me like I'm crazy.
[01:00:39] And then I said, well, it's hypnotic and Hennessy.
[01:00:41] And she's like, hypnotic?
[01:00:44] She kind of looking.
[01:00:46] Then she looks in the back
[01:00:47] and pulls out this dusty bottle
[01:00:49] and blows the dust off of it.
[01:00:52] Are you sure you want this?
[01:00:53] It's been saying every year.
[01:00:54] No, no, no, no.
[01:00:56] First of all, just give me the bottle.
[01:00:58] If you're not going to open it,
[01:00:59] if y'all playing with it, give me the bottle.
[01:01:01] I have the whole bar drinking Incredible Hulk
[01:01:04] but also nobody drinks hypnotic anymore.
[01:01:07] No.
[01:01:08] Yeah, but the hypnotic,
[01:01:10] I don't think I was a super fan of hypnotic necessarily.
[01:01:13] But yeah, I just felt like some of them had good taste.
[01:01:16] I was x-rated.
[01:01:17] I felt his very good.
[01:01:19] But again, I don't know.
[01:01:20] It was a moment in time.
[01:01:22] Right. You got to let those times go.
[01:01:24] I bet I can blow all the listeners' minds right now.
[01:01:28] Do you know that there is no Y in hypnotic?
[01:01:37] No.
[01:01:38] Just stop it.
[01:01:39] Spell hypnotic.
[01:01:40] The camera's dead ass.
[01:01:41] Spell hypnotic.
[01:01:45] Oh, H-P. Does it go say to the P?
[01:01:47] It's H-P-N-O-T-I-Q, hypnotic.
[01:01:51] Look at your face.
[01:01:56] I'm known to be a horrible speller,
[01:01:58] and then on top of that you do stuff like this?
[01:02:00] Impossible.
[01:02:01] I know the listeners are at home Googling this.
[01:02:03] Like there's no way.
[01:02:04] It's a Mandela effect, y'all.
[01:02:05] There is no Y.
[01:02:06] There is no Y in the drink hypnotic.
[01:02:09] Don't know.
[01:02:11] It's H-P-N-O-T-I-Q.
[01:02:12] That is what it is.
[01:02:14] Okay, if you're listening to this
[01:02:15] and you're coming to Chicago,
[01:02:17] we all know what we're doing.
[01:02:19] How? Who gonna have it?
[01:02:20] Well, they definitely got hypnotic in Chicago.
[01:02:22] In the back.
[01:02:22] In the back.
[01:02:23] In Chicago?
[01:02:24] Look, if we go to the right side of Chicago,
[01:02:26] it's on the top shelf.
[01:02:27] Chi-rac.
[01:02:28] Yeah, look.
[01:02:30] Don't throw it at me with a good time.
[01:02:31] Let's go.
[01:02:32] When?
[01:02:33] Right.
[01:02:33] Tuesday. Wednesday.
[01:02:34] You know, anyway, neither here nor there.
[01:02:38] Yeah, freaknik party goes great.
[01:02:40] The girls are like, I don't know.
[01:02:41] Nick with tattoos looks kind of appealing,
[01:02:43] but Shanice says once he opens his mouth,
[01:02:44] it reminds you that it is still Nick.
[01:02:47] But I did appreciate Jordan's freaknik party.
[01:02:49] It was really good.
[01:02:51] And then afterwards...
[01:02:53] When Jordan was giving the history lesson,
[01:02:55] that was crazy.
[01:02:56] Yeah.
[01:02:56] And then Natalie being like,
[01:02:58] we love a history lesson.
[01:02:59] No, actually we do.
[01:03:01] Right.
[01:03:02] Like dang, Natalie, why are you being like this?
[01:03:04] It's fun to talk about where this stuff came from,
[01:03:06] especially when we got the turn up.
[01:03:08] You know what I'm saying?
[01:03:08] Like, ain't nothing wrong with learning.
[01:03:09] You know?
[01:03:11] It didn't ruin the party.
[01:03:13] Yeah, anyway, I just have a lot of feelings for Amir
[01:03:16] and I feel like he really should find himself first.
[01:03:19] Yeah, because Natalie and Amir are spending all their time
[01:03:21] at the party together, essentially.
[01:03:24] That's it.
[01:03:25] They're just hanging out.
[01:03:26] There's nothing to come from that.
[01:03:28] No interaction with anybody else,
[01:03:30] no conversations, just together.
[01:03:32] Those couples are so boring to me.
[01:03:35] So boring.
[01:03:36] Because why did you come?
[01:03:38] Go on your own vacation.
[01:03:39] Literally.
[01:03:41] When she got here, you should have got a hotel
[01:03:43] and then y'all could do whatever y'all wanted
[01:03:44] and then you can come back when she leaves.
[01:03:46] That solves this problem.
[01:03:47] A million percent.
[01:03:49] Yeah, so eventually we get the big drama.
[01:03:54] They decide that they want to play Never Have I Ever
[01:03:57] and the one thing I will give Amir and Natalie
[01:04:00] credit for is that you never play Never Have I Ever
[01:04:03] with your significant other.
[01:04:04] Get up and leave.
[01:04:04] Don't be an idiot.
[01:04:06] Run away and they do.
[01:04:07] They're like, we're out.
[01:04:08] And so eventually that spirals into Summer
[01:04:11] thinking that Bria said something rude to her
[01:04:14] but nobody heard her say anything rude.
[01:04:16] It didn't matter because alcohol is bringing out
[01:04:18] all the emotion and they realized that Summer
[01:04:21] has some personal stuff going on
[01:04:22] because why is she getting this upset about it?
[01:04:26] And so the women in the room all have to come up
[01:04:28] with a code word to let people know
[01:04:30] when Summer's coming because now that she's drunk,
[01:04:33] she does not know how to act.
[01:04:35] And so the code word is meow, meow, meow, meow, meow.
[01:04:38] And like Enzo from Big Brother.
[01:04:41] Get it all you can think of.
[01:04:43] I was like the meow, meow.
[01:04:45] Yeah.
[01:04:46] But yeah, they thought that she would pass the drama
[01:04:48] but maybe they're not.
[01:04:50] So Summer thought that they had squashed all the beef.
[01:04:53] Right?
[01:04:53] She like, oh we talked about this stuff.
[01:04:55] We came to, we come to, we had conversations about it.
[01:04:58] Why are we still talking about it?
[01:05:00] But they're kind of like, listen,
[01:05:01] we're just talking about it.
[01:05:02] Nobody is accusing you of anything.
[01:05:05] We're just talking about it.
[01:05:06] And eventually they're all, you know,
[01:05:09] they're avoiding her but she is teed up, you know?
[01:05:12] So eventually she will talk to Bree in the room
[01:05:14] and she's doing like the, I love you so much, blah, blah, blah.
[01:05:17] I love you too much.
[01:05:18] All this other stuff.
[01:05:19] And Noelle goes and sees them
[01:05:20] and she's laughing at the wig.
[01:05:23] Yeah, she's like living her best life.
[01:05:25] Just she's like, oh she needs to do this, do that.
[01:05:27] Oh take a picture of me.
[01:05:29] She's just in her own zone.
[01:05:31] She laughs at the wig y'all.
[01:05:33] And it's a wrap.
[01:05:34] Summer tells us in Confessional
[01:05:36] that Preston lost his dad.
[01:05:37] Jordan is dealing with her, with her hair stuff.
[01:05:39] And then Summer of course is dealing with her stuff too.
[01:05:42] And so her tightest friend group, the three of them,
[01:05:45] that support system, they're all in shambles.
[01:05:47] And so she is actually looking at these other groups
[01:05:50] of friends and she's like jealous of them in a way.
[01:05:53] And she doesn't want to talk about it
[01:05:54] because she doesn't want to be a burden on anybody.
[01:05:56] So like you said, Tasha,
[01:05:57] the bottle was just getting shaken up,
[01:05:58] shaken up, shaken up.
[01:06:00] And now it's just exploding.
[01:06:02] But this time Summer is exploding by herself
[01:06:05] because Bree refuses to go there with her.
[01:06:08] She's like, I'm not doing it.
[01:06:09] And we see that with Bree not going there with her,
[01:06:12] it's clear that Summer's personal issues
[01:06:14] are really what's the problem.
[01:06:16] Because no one's fighting with her
[01:06:17] and she's still acting a damn fool.
[01:06:20] Yep.
[01:06:22] And it just, you know it's coming from a place of hurt.
[01:06:24] But I also want to say, I don't know about you,
[01:06:27] but I feel like your party friends
[01:06:28] can't be anything better than your party friends.
[01:06:32] And I feel like when you try to make them
[01:06:35] what they're not,
[01:06:38] I think that's where you're bound to get let down
[01:06:41] and you're bound to feel hurt.
[01:06:44] No, it makes sense.
[01:06:44] Because me and you are, we're friends and we party.
[01:06:47] But I'm not your party friends.
[01:06:48] We're some people that you only see at the party.
[01:06:51] You know what I'm saying?
[01:06:52] And those people are for the party.
[01:06:53] That's why they're there.
[01:06:55] That's why you're there.
[01:06:56] But yeah, if she's looking for these people
[01:06:58] to kind of uplift her, I'm like,
[01:06:59] you think Shanice is going to be the person
[01:07:02] that you can go to for your emotional support right now?
[01:07:04] Shanice?
[01:07:05] Shanice don't take nothing seriously.
[01:07:06] That's what I'm saying.
[01:07:07] Yeah.
[01:07:08] So what exactly are you going to pull off here?
[01:07:09] But the only person who really takes Summer seriously
[01:07:11] in this moment is Noelle.
[01:07:12] And she's trying so hard to deescalate this.
[01:07:15] Summer even puts her hands on her and she's like,
[01:07:17] see, now I had to hit her, Bria.
[01:07:19] It's your fault, you dumb bitch.
[01:07:21] I'm like, whoa!
[01:07:23] Are you trying to get kicked out together?
[01:07:25] Was not for me.
[01:07:27] When she's like, it's because of you that I pushed her.
[01:07:30] Yeah.
[01:07:33] I couldn't comprehend.
[01:07:35] I think Summer is about to get removed from the house.
[01:07:38] I think that she's trying to get removed from the house.
[01:07:42] I do.
[01:07:43] Because when you hit somebody and then you announce it
[01:07:45] on a show that very expressly said,
[01:07:47] we can't touch each other, she announced unprovoked like,
[01:07:50] I hit her, it's your fault, and I did it.
[01:07:53] So I really think that she's looking for the producers
[01:07:56] to come in and save her from herself.
[01:07:58] She doesn't know how to just leave without making a big scene
[01:08:01] about it, without making it a big deal,
[01:08:02] without people saying, oh, Summer, how can we help?
[01:08:05] The lady, da-da-da-da-da.
[01:08:07] She wants production to come in and be like,
[01:08:09] we feel like you have to leave.
[01:08:11] Yeah.
[01:08:11] So now she doesn't have a choice.
[01:08:13] She has to go and people can't stop her
[01:08:15] and she can't think, well, what if I brought it back together?
[01:08:17] I think she's waiting on somebody to step in.
[01:08:20] I just feel like she sees black when she gets mad.
[01:08:26] And I don't think it matters at that point what happens.
[01:08:29] Yeah, just the complete blackout.
[01:08:32] Yeah.
[01:08:33] It's just, it's crazy.
[01:08:36] Yeah.
[01:08:37] And it's bad because that's how the episode ends.
[01:08:39] I mean, it's just Summer storming through the house
[01:08:41] like a wild child throwing stuff.
[01:08:43] And Noel is like a true girls girl,
[01:08:46] just being like, no, no, Summer, no, calm down, calm down.
[01:08:50] Because she must know that you might get kicked out, girl, stop.
[01:08:53] Yeah.
[01:08:53] And then you would know, we know how these fights go
[01:08:56] on Summer House Martha's Vineyard literally the next morning.
[01:08:58] They're going to be like, oh, I love you.
[01:08:59] I understand.
[01:09:01] Especially these two who have literally done this exact same thing.
[01:09:05] Oh, this is the Bria move, the Summer move, even the Preston move.
[01:09:09] We've seen him and Bria get into it and then the next day they're fine.
[01:09:12] So more of that I'm sure is to come.
[01:09:14] But Sasha, that's our whole two episode arc
[01:09:16] for these most recent two episodes of Summer House Martha's Vineyard.
[01:09:19] This was episode five and six.
[01:09:22] And so we have seven, eight, and then the finale I think at that point.
[01:09:26] So yeah, we're almost done with this season
[01:09:30] and at least we get a reunion this year.
[01:09:32] Because I'm dying to see if Alex is talking that wild on Watch What Happens Live.
[01:09:37] What's he going to say at the reunion?
[01:09:38] I need to see that.
[01:09:39] Or will he go into his like zen move to piss everyone else off honestly?
[01:09:43] That'll really be the move is to act unbothered by it all.
[01:09:46] Like, well, she said some things, I said some things.
[01:09:48] I said what I wanted to say.
[01:09:50] You know, it is what it is.
[01:09:51] Everything else is as Amy B said.
[01:09:52] We don't have to keep like dragging up these old feelings.
[01:09:55] We're good now, right?
[01:09:57] And she's just over there like seething.
[01:10:00] It's coming.
[01:10:00] But you were inside, Marie.
[01:10:02] Yeah.
[01:10:03] If she says that at the reunion, we're doing an emergency podcast.
[01:10:07] We just going to come over here and we just going to drink.
[01:10:10] Literally, why was I thinking, yeah, we'll do a shot.
[01:10:13] Like this is crazy.
[01:10:15] Yeah.
[01:10:16] But yeah, that's it.
[01:10:17] What else you got going on Sasha?
[01:10:19] What else for Summer House?
[01:10:20] Is that it?
[01:10:21] Yes, I think that's good.
[01:10:22] That's it.
[01:10:24] It was really exciting.
[01:10:25] And I will say Preston did post a story with a few of them.
[01:10:29] Summer and Brea are together in the story.
[01:10:32] So Preston's like, we should like each other.
[01:10:34] No one said you don't.
[01:10:35] It's just that every other day you like each other.
[01:10:38] And that's the problem on the off days.
[01:10:40] You're fighting.
[01:10:42] Exactly.
[01:10:42] Exactly.
[01:10:43] So yeah, dying to see how they come back from this one.
[01:10:45] But like I said, it's pretty quick when they do come back from it.
[01:10:49] Correct.
[01:10:50] But yeah, we got a couple more episodes to go.
[01:10:52] That means we got roughly two more podcasts to go.
[01:10:54] And then we'll wrap up the season and then we'll have to find out what's next for me
[01:10:57] and Sasha.
[01:10:58] Sasha, we actually got an email where you were mentioned.
[01:11:01] I don't know if you heard that on our past podcast, but you got a name drop.
[01:11:05] Do you want to hear it?
[01:11:06] Yeah.
[01:11:07] I did not.
[01:11:08] Let me see.
[01:11:09] Which podcast was that that I didn't hear this?
[01:11:11] So I believe it was on the Boondocks versus-
[01:11:14] Oh no, I have not.
[01:11:15] Yes.
[01:11:16] Okay, I have not listened to that one.
[01:11:18] I was like, who did that one?
[01:11:20] Yeah, this one's from Laura.
[01:11:21] It says, hey you guys just caught up on the recap kickback guys.
[01:11:25] So I am not a part of the beehive, but I did love listening to the panel
[01:11:29] and listen to several of the songs that were mentioned.
[01:11:31] She doesn't sound country, but this is a country album and I respect it.
[01:11:34] I didn't know Lou Gasset Jr had died.
[01:11:36] I learned that on recap kickback.
[01:11:37] He was such a great actor and I'm about to watch Shirley next.
[01:11:40] And you guys are awesome over at recap.
[01:11:42] So informative.
[01:11:42] Please have Sasha back on the show.
[01:11:44] She's so funny.
[01:11:44] Love you guys.
[01:11:45] Oh, thank you.
[01:11:47] Laura, you're great.
[01:11:47] Thank you for listening to us.
[01:11:49] And thank you for email.
[01:11:51] That's first of all, that takes so much time out of your day.
[01:11:54] Thank you for doing that.
[01:11:55] I feel like that's so sweet.
[01:11:56] And I know recap kickback really appreciates it
[01:11:58] because it helps us grow the more people listen.
[01:12:02] It really does.
[01:12:02] And also if you know me, you know I love Sasha.
[01:12:04] So this is perfect for me.
[01:12:06] And so Sasha, for the sake of Laura
[01:12:08] and all your other devoted fans, please let us know where else to find you.
[01:12:13] Yes, you can find me of course talking pop culture, celebrity gossip,
